My food was very good. Had the turkey meal with dressing, broccoli casserole and Mac and cheese and it was so good. My son had the yams and he really enjoyed it. Will be back.

This was my first visit since WCD got new owners. I was pleased that not much had changed. Same quality food, menu favorites and 5 star service. The interior has had some upgrades too. The bar is bigger and a full bar now. Lots of specialty cocktails although I didn't have one. Always a sure bet!!

The food was pretty good but the experience of picking up my order was horrible. She was either brand new or just terrible. She was basically spinning like a top the whole time I was waiting and it turns out that my food was just sitting there the entire time. Then they forgot all of my sauces so I had to come back in and wait again. That was too terrible of an experience to repeat. However if you are dining in you may have a better experience because the food was great.

    Chunks of chicken

We decided to do a pick up order because door dash tacks on about $5 per entree for this location. I ordered a chicken Philly. What I got was very disappointing. It was supposed to be chicken, cheese, peppers onions, and jalapeños. I asked for no green peppers. I got a chunky chicken and cheese sandwich (not shaved like a Philly). The onions and jalapeños were sautéed and placed separately so no flavor at all in meat. Very disappointing!

Great service, great food, and a relaxed, family-friendly environment. We were in the area and although we had never been here, I recalled someone telling me they have good food here so much so they order their side dishes for Thanksgiving from here. We were greeted upon walking in the door and seated promptly. Additionally our server came right over despite the fact that they were busy. We will definitely be back!

Visited on November 29th. We walked in expecting a good experience, but unfortunately, it fell short. We were barely greeted by the group of four staff members at the podium. A young lady hurried us to a dirty booth until I requested a different table. After two minutes, a man took our drink orders (Sprite, hot water with lemon, and iced water). While we were looking over the menu, another man approached us, asking if we were ready to order, informing us that the kitchen was closing soon. When I asked for the exact closing time, he replied, "now." This was confusing as other tables were still enjoying their meals. Our waiter, seemingly unaware of any kitchen closing, took our orders for a shrimp basket and a spicy po'boy special. There was confusion over the sides; we weren't informed about additional charges for substitutions, like the mac and cheese. The fries were okay, but the po'boy was disappointing with stale bread and lacking spice. I ended up eating the shrimp with a fork, which was the only part I enjoyed. My daughter liked the shrimp but found the mac and cheese mediocre. Throughout our meal, staff members sat at the bar, some wiping down tables and putting chairs up. New customers were turned away, being told the restaurant was closed. Our bill included a charge for a tea we never ordered. Though I mentioned it and assumed it was removed, it remained on the final bill along with extra charges for the side substitutions. Despite the waiter being nice and in training, the overall rushed service and mediocre food were disappointing. I tipped 18% for the waiter's effort, but the experience left much to be desired. I understand it was the day after a holiday, but I wish we had received better service.

We are regulars here. Always a good meal and excellent service. It seems like we are always closing the place down. Made to order. Really good sweet tea and when they give you a pour of wine- it's a good pour.

When I arrived, I grabbed a piece of chicken and it was already cold, so I decided to wait for them to bring out a fresh batch. Same thing with the chicken livers: cold and not refreshed the entire time we were eating. Near the end of the meal, I finally asked if they were planning to put out fresh chicken. I explained that I tried it when I got there (about 30 minutes earlier) and it was cold, and nothing had been replaced. The staff member said she could start working on some, so I waited. About 12 to 15 minutes later, they did bring out fresh chicken and fresh chicken livers, and honestly, when it's fresh it's actually pretty good. The mashed potatoes were another issue. They had a thick, crusty layer on top, and it looked like they dumped the old, dried-out potatoes from the previous pan over the fresh batch. I had to scrape off the crusty topping just to get to the fresh potatoes underneath. Overall, the food itself isn't terrible. The bigger problem is the way it's being handled. It felt like they were more focused on cutting costs and stretching old food than keeping the buffet fresh and consistent. My advice: if something you want looks like it's been sitting out too long, say something early before you sit down. If you wait, you may never see fresh food brought out.

Unfortunately, the experience was terrible from start to finish. We had reservations for 10:45 AM on May 23. Due to the rain, we arrived around 10:53, but some of the ladies were already there waiting. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us to ask for drinks. We all ordered water... and then we waited. And waited. About 30-40 minutes passed without anyone taking our food order, even though the restaurant was not busy. We noticed another group who came in after us eventually just get up and leave. Honestly, we should have done the same. Around 11:30, as we were gathering our things to leave, the owner came over asking where we were going. I explained that no one had taken our order and that we were hungry. She convinced us to stay and brought out chicken croquettes and biscuits "to hold us over." The biscuits were decent, but the croquettes were not good. Then we waited ANOTHER hour. Our food didn't arrive until around 12:30 PM. During that time, my sister and I literally walked to another restaurant nearby, ordered food there, ate, and came back -- and our food had just arrived. To make matters worse, the chicken was undercooked. As shown in the photo, it was raw inside and dripping excessively. Absolutely unacceptable and unsafe. On top of all of that, when I went to pay, I noticed I was being overcharged. I had to ask for an itemized receipt, and suddenly the total dropped significantly. That alone was frustrating and unprofessional. The overall environment was also uncomfortable. The cook was sweating heavily over the food while talking, which did not make the experience any better. I paid for meals my family didn't even enjoy just to leave and go somewhere else to actually eat. The only thing decent about this experience was the homemade-style biscuits. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are expecting good service, timely food, professionalism, or quality control. This was my personal experience, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst brunch experiences I've had in a long time.
