Went here after church hoping to get better food the sister location. Walked in and was treated to a little old timey place which was cute. The place was packed but had wonderful service and pretty good food. There vegetables are delicious and juicy and would recommend to everybody. Would stop by again sometime! read more

This is no diner!!!! My friend and I showed up for Sunday's Brunch and ended up ordering a full blown diner with mashed potatoes and collard greens, and crab-cakes! Well first I ordered a Mimosa to drink before even looking at the menu, I should have known that they did not serve breakfast when she said she will check to see if they had any orange juice. For some reason she kept saying if we don't have the orange juice for the mimosas what else would you like to drink and I kept saying orange juice. KMSL!!! Anyways, once we realized that we couldn't get breakfast we began looking over the menu, The waitress stated that if we want to find a breakfast spot that would be fine ( like we already didnt know that) I advised her that we would be staying and not to refresh my coffee again. Lol The crabcakes were really good, they were pretty big served with the dipping sauce. I also ordered mashed potatoes and collard greens which were a little bit vinegary but all in all we're pretty good to have come from a diner. We also ordered fried green tomatoes..... Yummy! I think more than anything I wasn't please with the service I received, It bothered me that I was corrected several times on how to pronounce items on the menu.... croquettes and roumlade, it just didn't seem friendly. Friendly staff, great service, and yummy food. The chicken and Waffles is a wonderful crisp coated chicken with a sugar infused waffle on the bottom and top. Enough for sharing, easily. The breading had a nice spice to it. Thanksgiving dinner was seriously, so delicious. I loved the smooth gravy and entire plate. Sides : Mac n cheese and French fries. Both came out hot and tasty. We opted for the patio. Plenty of indoor seating, but also patio as well. Restaurant was busy, and I can understand why. They were able to accommodate a party of 6. The portion sizes are rather large. My husband and I shares the mesquite pork chops and they were juicy and flavorful. The chutney was delicious. My dad had salmon and said it was very good. My mom had the chicken salad and she said it was good as well. Our cousin and friend had burgers and chicken tenders. The service was good although I do feel he could have been a little more attentive to our drinks. It is our cousin's favorite place for meeting and was recommended by her. The menu is offering it is extremely diverse offering several different culinary angles. I know it sounds kind of cheesy but one of my favorite meals there is their various vegetable selections that you can build your own plate with. Their corn bread with some pepper sauce mashed potatoes broccoli casserole black eyed peas and turnip or collard greens makes for a explosive lunch or dinner. Always satisfied and will always come back. Not to mention of course their lobster bisque and clam chowder. Love it love it love it. We visit this restaurant on the regular. The food never disappoints and the service is typically great as well.

1st time going here since pandemic hit. West Cobb Diner is wearing masks, sanitizing and following all the needed steps to feel safe and be safe. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces available on a Friday night. Upon entering we were seated quickly at a booth. I ordered the meatloaf...as. I do almost everytime I go, lol! It is that good!! 2 huge meatballs of meatloaf glazed with a tangy tomato sauce. I also had the buffalo cauliflower. While think it needs more heat (I like it spicey!), it had a nice flavor and would order again. My wife loves the vegetable plates and always eats that. The service was good but distracted sometimes. Took forever to napkins, Worcester sauce, etc.. I will continue to eat at this outstanding restaurant wholeheartedly recommend it. read more

Nothing I love South Cobb Drive and West Cobb Diner. However, today when I went there with my grandchildren that place that has no semblance of social distancing that's at all. They let customers come in with no masks in droves. We had to get our food to go. Not to mention I wiped the tables off with sanitizing wipes and they were black meaning the sanitizing wipes. The fried pickles were surprisingly well made, though a bit more dipping sauce would have been welcome. I ordered shrimp and grits, and while the shrimp were fine, the grits tasted like baby food. My boyfriend's daughter got salmon that tasted like it had been marinated in dirty water. My bf's niece ordered the chicken tenders, and she enjoyed her meal. For dessert, I ordered a slice of strawberry cake, and I kid you not, it tasted exactly like strawberry scented play-doh. Have been enjoying WCD since it opened, whether dining in, or carry out. The food is good and plentiful, with the prices being reasonable. For us, the service is always good. What is NOT good is the cleanliness of the place! From the front door, to the bar, to the restrooms, the place is DISGUSTING. So much so that I think we have patronized this place for the last time this week. With the windows, doors, and floors being as filthy as they are, we fear the kitchen is not any better. I even speculate as to why the health department has not shut this place down. I hear there are new owners. It would be in their best interest to shut down for a few days and pay a service to come in and scrub every inch of flooring, clean the ceiling fans, the bathrooms, the bar, replace the floor runners, clean the doors, and CLEAN AND SHINE the windows with a cleaning solution and not a dirty rag from the kitchen! It truly is a filthy, disgusting eating environment. As I mentioned, I don't know if the kitchen is in the same condition as the front of the house, but if the front is an indication of the whole place, I can only assume that it is, and not where I want my food to be prepared - no matter how good it is. I don't want anyone to blame this on Covid, the workforce shortages, or anything of the sort. This is a blind management thinking the food, prices, and service are enough. NO! Everything in a restaurant needs to be appealing. (And this is not just a recent issue, it goes back quite a few years. The place has never been the epitome of cleanliness). Maybe my one or two visits a month don't matter to the WCD bottom line, but as I tell people I know about this, they will tell others, and on and on. The food is amazing. Everything there is excellent. If you like coleslaw and blue cheese, you must try the blue cheese slaw.

I'll keep it simple. Our server was Graham. He was so good I had to tell the manager who actually turned out to be the owner who again was amazing. We ate out every night for a week and a half while I was there, he was the best server we had. Also I've been in Vegas for almost 20 years and again he was one of the best severs I've ever seen. Before we went there I was told it was compared to Cracker Barrel(not in Vegas though, the one in Vegas is horrible!!). I assume they are better in the south. But the food was just the same If not better than Cracker Barrel. Prices are for what you get very very reasonable. You def need to try it. You will go back. Awesome menu choices. I'm not kidding when I say we all had 3-4 top picks but easily 6-10 overall picks we wanted to try. Southern comfort food options but also very inventive options and specials. Great sauces, great techniques, inventive flavors. Portions are huge. We all took leftovers home. We came on a Saturday and our 13 year old got the chicken and waffles. I got the pimento burger, hubby got the bahn mi sandwich (special of the day), and 14 year old got the chicken fried steak. Execution was above and beyond. Everyone was more than happy with their order. What really made me come here to leave a review was the service we received from Cap (receipt said James). He was stellar! He really took the time to talk through some standouts on the menu and gave us great service while we were there. Such a gentleman, funny, and helpful.
