After walking around the museum totally impressed with that whole part of it , we stopped for drinks. The drinks were excellent I had Rose something . We ended up getting tea which was reasonably priced I thought .sencha tea was delicious and the Little Cakes were all scrumptious. My favorite was the salmon sandwich

The cafe inside the Frick museum. Netting it out: elegant, graceful, delightful, a bit pretentious and very, very pricey (think 2x you'd expect elsewhere). That said, it's a sophisticated experience not to miss while visiting the museum, if only for coffee or tea. It's a ladies place: perfect for lunching lite fare among women without budget constraints.

I was informed that they don't take reservations in advance and we should make them right after gaining admission to the Frick Collection (for which we did have advance reservations). We arrived at 11:00 A.M. and felt lucky to get a12:30 P.M. for the four of us. So we spent about 90 minutes on the first floor of the mansion before going up to the Westmoreland. We had to wait until 12:55 to be seated. It's a relatively small, but pretty dining room where tables for two wait a lot less than foursomes. We had been to the Frick decades before, when, as I recall, there was only one floor of exhibits. The mansion now, after extensive refurbishing, not only has exhibits on the second floor, but also the Westmoreland Café (a photo of which is available at Frick.Org). The cuisine at the Westmoreland doesn't rise to the level of the fourth-floor Met Dining Room, but it's focus, judging by their menu, is cocktails, wines, a hand full of beers I never heard of, and dessert drinks. That said, and despite a dearth of attractive entrées, I enjoyed my panko-crusted chicken breast. However its accompanying "salad" was just a handful of arugula with a lemony aioli (mostly mayo). My buddy had a decent turkey sandwich, but the side of homemade potato chips were too hard, even though they were tasty. So, it's a mixed bag. As others have noted, the Westmoreland is pricey, but that's to be expected on 5th Avenue and 70th Street in a mansion with numerous recognizable museum quality masterpieces. Nevertheless, the Westmoreland might consider expanding their menu of entrées and offer better side dishes.

The ultimate ladies who lunch affair. Think dainty portions, extremely pricey.. well, prices. Inside The Frick, every option is visually pleasing and tasty but if you're going there to fill up, think again. I've been twice, the second time I got the mushroom risotto and it was oddly somewhat filling! They also have rose' tea which is non alcoholic while giving you the appearance of looking like you are drinking wine for lunch. But if you want a special drink without having alcohol it is a good choice. Their menu changes with the seasons. I enjoyed their apple tart with mascarpone as well. Everyone is really friendly and hospitality forward. Shout out to the hosts, they do a great job.

Ahhh what an oasis. Worth every penny and thrilled to sneak in as a solo diner (and to be at the Frick Collection after many years). Loved my nicoise saad (also been many years). Cant imagine for whom the giant bottle of water is designed -- a group, I guess. Best cup of coffee ever.

Please see my review under The Fricke - I didn't realize this cafe had a separate name, but realized soon after I wrote the review.

The price of the apple tart $20.00 and the size of the slice, not even an inch wide was ridiculous. The setting and service really nice.

BUT, my husband and I recently took a trip to Paris and I also love pain aux raisins. To our delight, Cafe Bilboquet has those too, so my friend and I each had a small coffee and a pain aux raisins. The pastry was as good as any that my husband and I had in Paris! I've also had lunch here with a couple of other friends in recent months. They have a good variety of pretty authentic French sandwiches and some quiches, eggs, etc. Not inexpensive, but the food is top-notch. You order at the counter, then move up to the cashier, tell them what your order is and pay for it. If you're lucky, as we were around 9:45 this morning, you'll get one of the little round tables where you can sit and chat and relax; in good weather there are some tables outside as well; a lovely boulangerie or patisserie experience!

Upon getting closer to the door, I learned it's part of Le Bilboquet restaurant on the same block. It wasn't too crowded when I visited on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. Every table except 1 was full, but most people were heading outside on such a beautiful day with their drinks and pastries. The cafe is very cute and French. They have so many pastries I couldn't decide, so I ordered a pain au chocolat and tea. They serve Harney & Sons teas. This is a lovely spot, and I'll return to try more.

I always get almond croissants from coffee shops but wow this one has to be one of my favorites. The crunchy (sugar?) top coating and the filling were delectable. I got one of the seasonal spring drinks, called "Karl" which is a banana cold brew with cold foam. I don't even like cold brews since they tend to be super strong and pretty bitter, and banana can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed the hell out of this drink. It was a bit sweet, which I like, and the cold brew itself had a banana flavor when I had just expected it to come from the cold foam. I didn't sit or stay inside as I had to go to work, but there are a few (maybe 5 I think?) chairs along a bar counter on the side. Plants in the window too which I love. The barista was nice and made the drinks quickly despite being there by herself early in the morning (or at least I didn't see another employee). I recommended this place to my coworkers and can't wait to go back and try the other drink options!

Theres a shared bar table along one wall with high top chairs and menu options at the counter + a chalkboard with seasonal drinks. I left with a Balthazar Bakery box with 4 items. The 2 Everything pastries were filled with what looked like spinach and cheese. Incredible when reheated, but I wish they were served warm. The cinnamon roll was good, but not standout. The pain au chocolat was tender and flaky. Some of the seasonal drinks, like the Grinch, looked really good and I'd come back to try one, but I likely wouldn't swing for a pastry this time.
