Steak being sliced at 8:30 AM
    Kris T.

These bastards! I came in to get a heart-healthy egg sandwich, and saw them slicing that amazing looking meat in the attached picture. What can I say, I have very little willpower, when it comes to steak subs. I swear, most of what you see in that photo ended up in my sandwich, along with fresh onion and peppers, cheese and a delicate, slightly-crispy roll. Put simply, it was amazing. Easily the best steak sub I've had in several years. Fantastic way to start my day, and (unlike most steak subs I try these days) it didn't leave me feeling greasy or gross. Even though it was a good size, I found myself wishing I had two more. Hell, I wish I had two more right now. This is the second time I've been here, and the second time I've been extremely impressed. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it's obvious that they put care into what they do. There are also deserts, food to go and interesting drink options. I don't believe they get fancy with coffee, but no place has everything. I will absolutely be going back.

I stopped by this small, no frills, deli for breakfast. The bacon egg and cheese with hash brown was really good! The portion was large and very filling.

Great sandwiches. The best I've found in Ridgefield. The bread is delicious, as are the prepared foods.

I had the BLT and A sandwich (bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado) and hubby had the Balboa which was roast beef (Philly cheesesteak style) in garlic bread.

They were all great recommendations and went with them. The drinks were amazing. Their honey Brussel sprouts were so delicious that I had the whole portion. We also ordered onion rings - they were super crispy and delicious. The impossible nuggets were amazing, served with ranch. The cali bowl was everything you would dream of for healthy and tasty. Now the great part is their burgers. I had the- my sunshine burger which had in-house patties with the greens and all the good stuff to make it filling and absolutely delicious. The story goes Martha Stewart pulled up so she could try a couple of the garnishes, liked what she tasted and invited Owner Mike to participate in a hot dog segment of her show. Today, Chez Lenard has a decades old cart on Main Street and two additional carts for catering or events. I ordered Le Hot Dog Choucroute Alsacienne (which has sauerkraut and a high quality Dijon Mustard) and Le Hot Dog Epicie Garniture Suisse (which boasts a traditional cheese fondue and a horseradish sauce). After a bit of research, these seemed like the most classic Chez Lenard toppings. The toppings were all very tasty. Chez Lenard uses Hebrew National dogs which are ready in a steam bath when you order. Among the best known and loved CTSpots, this is probably my least favorite combo of dog selection and cooking technique. There's no snap and it has one of the softer textures you'll find. I understand that one of the movable carts has a grill. The buns are Martin's potato rolls, which are fine. Chez Lenard enjoys an important history in Ridgefield. They've been a source of jobs for young adults. A lot of people have been going there for a long time because downtown Ridgefield is a cool place to visit. Somebody who lives closer to Ridgefield might give it a bit of a bump because it's been an important pat of their lives. Being a visitor, I can only go by the dog. 4.5 Stars for the toppings. 3.5 Stars for the dog itself. 4 Stars overall

Besides the temperature of the food being cold, their haphazard management was inefficient , they made ordering changes for Father's Day Weekend, and the experience was highly disappointed. And for anyone traveling to try, know the brisket and ribs were extremely dry. My biggest issue, was that in my platter order, it contained the following low quality/low standards: 1) two ends from the point, and one end from the flat were in my 1/2 lbs of brisket- thats three ends. One looked like it was reheated from the day before- but this means an employee thought it was a good idea to put MULTIPLE brisket ends in one order. (Btw good bbq places make something called 'Burnt ends'-you should google that). 2) The pork ribs contained two rib points. Same issue as the brisket. This means an employee purposely gave my order the worst rib from two different racks. On top of that they were butchered and flavorless. 3) The star of the show, the $64 beef rib was an end cut (thats bad luck but...) and was dried out and contained no meat. They also did not call me when my takeout order was ready, (I had to ask about it, after 35 minutes PAST my estimated time, and it was just sitting there). It came with no BBQ sauce. 1/2 chicken was nothing to write home about, but at least it wasn't dry. The wings, RyThai Chile , were excellent, and I liked the blue cheese. I also liked the Brussel sprouts. The guy who took my order over the phone was great. I have never been to brother Jimmies but I suggest you go there over HooDoos. I would rather try a McRib over trying Hoodoo's again... No one should EVER travel here- this is just a good example of social media fame. Yuck.
