Once again, my past experience here with the employees deserves a proper review. I had made an appointment a week prior for that following Monday that I missed due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn't call or notify them at all with the fact I couldn't make my appointment. I thought if I showed up early the next day I could get my rear tires replaced with no problem. I failed to take into account that they could possibly be fully booked up... yeah, I showed up at 10 am and was informed they were looking at a very busy day. The manager Roy, who had remembered me from previous visits, truly surprised me by remembering my name and even engaged me with conversation that drew from conversations he and I had from my last visit months ago. I felt as though I was talking with a good friend I hadn't seen in a while. He told me that they could fit me in if I could leave my car for a few hours. I was happy to hear that it was even a possibility, seeing as how I had no appointment and the fact that I was basically driving on slicks. A few hours later I got a call to pick up my car. Had a 8am appointment and was promissed that it would take 45 minutes to get two new tires. After fifteen minutes of no action I reminded the sales person of the promise. Fifteen minutes later I was told that the agreed tires could not be found and that I would get other tires. An hour later they were done. They had subtracted $2.33 from the original quote of $270.16. No excuses for the tardiness. Now I remember that they had cancelled earlier a 3pm appointment because: they wanted to close the store earlier. Now I remember also that even earlier they broke a hubcap, which forced me to come back and spend another hour of my time. They did what they said they'd do & their prices are reasonable. They told me services that they recommend be done soon, but did not try to sell me on them. The place was clean and the guys were friendly. It was my first time not going to the dealership for service, and I was very happy. I'll return for future service. read more

This Wheel Works told me they couldn't patch my tire with a nail in it and that I would need to pay them to replace the whole tire. I took my car to Goodyear instead and they fixed the tire without complaints for cheap. I don't appreciate the dishonesty. read more

This location used to have long time managers who knew you and knew your car (Albert, Ernesto, Robert, etc.). A few years ago they kept cycling in kids who had no relationship with customs where upselling (adding insurance to purchased tires by default, etc.). Finally, after a very sketch charge, I said, "Look, I have 4 cars. I've been coming here 20 years. Refunds this bogus charge or you lose my business." The kid with a few months experience just watched a customer who'd given the store tens of thousands of dollars in business walk away. Unless you can be back 10 or 15 years, this is a place to avoid. read more

We've been going to *this* Wheel Works for years. The people there are great, honest and a couple of times have fixed botched jobs of our car dealer's repair shop . They won't try to sell you a fix you don't need - (they have told us about expensive problems that can safely be postponed) We currently are taking our Mini Cooper and Toyota Rav4 there. read more

Went in on Wednesday to have a spare tire repaired and get an oil change. After inspecting the tire (still under the rear of the van) I was told it had plenty of tread but they wouldn't patch it as it was over five years old! Company policy (to print money I guess). Elected to get tire elsewhere but get oil change. After 45 minutes I was advised it would take too long, would I mind coming back. Made an appointment for Friday as I had a coupon and the paperwork was done. Declined the inspection. They did the inspection anyway and gave me a list of all the things that were "wrong" with the car. Belts cracked, missing hubcap (NSS, running the spare). After all that THEY REFUSED TO CHANGE THE OIL claiming that if something happened (to a worn shock? torn cv boot? burned out backup light?) after I left the shop they would be liable. Fine. They certified the tire pressure (state law requirement) and I drove five miles to my favorite used tire shop. Upon arrival the left rear tire was flat! Nothing wrong with the tire other than they had touched it. I had been a customer of Wheel Works for many years, although not this location. Never again! A week or so back, I went into wheel works because I needed both of my front tires replaced. I came into the shop and like clockwork the next day I came back in and within hours had a new set of tires. Alex was the person who helped me for the majority of my time spent in the shop (which wasn't long at all), and he not only got me the tires at a great price, but was very kind and helpful as well. I would of gave them more stars because we were happy with them until a few weeks ago. My husband is 76 yrs old can barely walk uses a cane and his hearing is not good. One tire was needed . There was a defect in the tire that we had that was bought at this wheel works. Some how he ended up buying all four tires for our Honda, we actually only needed one. The other 3 tires we had on the Honda had at least 10,000 miles left on them. I THINK THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A SENIOR CITIZEN BECAUSE HE WAS ALONE WHEN HE AGREED TO BUY 4 TIRES AND DON'T THEY GIVE YOU A TIRE WHEN THE TIRE WAS A FACTORY DEFECT? I've done business at this shop in the past and after Today will never do business with them again. I've had tires put on cars in the past at this shop but the Saleman at the front desk has got to go, period. He's an arrogant idiot who if left at the front desk will sooner or later put this shop out of business. My daughter brought a car in today just to have a tire that had a slow leak, all my daughter wanted was to have that one tire repaired, the a-hole at the front desk TRIED to sell her a Thousand dollars worth of tires and refused to fix the tire even though there is PLENTY of tread left. When my College age daughter said all she wanted was to have the tire repaired and couldn't afford NEW tires Dennis REFUSED to help and said there was NOTHING he could do. Do NOT send your wife or daughter to this Shark in the water, he just trys to take advantage of women. NEVER AGAIN. Dennis is his name, avoid this jerk at ALL costs. read more

They'll tell you one thing when you are there then call you to sell another service and even call you again after that to say something else is wrong and try to sell you again. My daughter and I came here today to have her front wheels aligned after some front end work had been done at home. They were pretty sure that an alignment was necessary after the type of work done. About an hour after we dropped off the car, I received a call letting me know the car was finished. And as it turned out the car did not need an alignment. They were very honest and there was no charge for anything. Wheel works gave recommendations of other work they saw that would need to be addressed but didn't push us to buy or do any work. First off: I began coming to this location because the one on Pearl, in San Jose is horrible. After patronizing this particular Wheel Works for about 7 years, I will not be returning. I had my A/C inspected and repaired in June and this along with an alignment, I spent somewhere in the vicinity of $400. This past Friday I took it back in. The counter man told me it would be an hour. I walked around for about 30 minutes and noticed they were just taking in my car at that time. The manager told me, oh no it takes about 2 hours. The original counter person claimed he told me an hour and a half and that the technician had just showed up (Why I wasn't told that there was no technician on site when the time quote was given is another story). Needless to say, SEVEN hours later the repair was completed that should have been completed 3 months ago. AND at a cost of another $300. They did rent me a car for the day, so I wasn't stuck there. I would have been happy to pay the $28 instead of the $300 to fix something they didn't fix the first time. read more

I have the impression that just because I came in alone as a young woman I was treated as if I was stupid, not given options, and given the most expensive oil change (I usually pay $30, he charged me $75 without telling me until it was done). I was also told that my new tires would be over $700 and that I had to do all 4 and the size of my car tires was weird (Ford Fusion). Needless to say I did not buy the tires. I called other places who gave me all four tires for $380. I will not be returning here ever again. It is disappointing because I had a great experience at the Wheel Works on Pearl Avenue and in Los Gatos. I figured this one would be the same but I was dead wrong. The guy just wanted to take advantage of me by trying to force me into the most expensive option saying it was my only option and thought I was dumb enough to to fall for it. I've been buying tires for my truck and trailers from "this" Wheelworks for 5 years and they've always treated me right. Great service and they don't try to upsell you on things you don't need! Save yourself the trouble, and find a local mechanic. These people are a rip off. I've taken a couple of different cars here, and its the same story every time. I called ahead saying I wanted to drop the car off, and asked how long it would took. I was told an hour, maybe an hour and a half because they were busy. Fair enough. I decided I didn't need a ride back, I could wait there and play games. So I give my car in, and they say it will be ready in 3, maybe 3 1/2 hours. OK...fine I'll get a ride home now. Fast forward 5 1/2 hours later, I have to call them and ask if my car is ready. They say they're just getting it ready, so I should come by. I arrive at the shop to pick up the car. They tell me the "inspected" it and its going to cost $2500 to fix. That's just plain bullshit. I took it to another shop, and the quoted me 1/3 of the price. Don't go here. read more

Took my BMW In for some new tires and few other stuff it needed oil replacement, sensors etc. Great prices and are done with the vehicle in timely manor which love ! A few weeks ago I hit a GIANT pothole that dented one of my wheels so badly that the tire went flat. I took it in to wheel works and we determined that the rim was beyond repair, and that since my tires were at $29k miles I would replace all 4 with new tires (this was my choice, as I knew I would need replacements in the near future anyway). The manager Roy was helping me and he suggested that I shop around for prices on a new wheel. His cost was going to be $350, dealer wanted $450, and I found a refurbished wheel on eBay for $200. That was a huge gesture of customer service to recommend buying a product somewhere else, and still agree to work on it. It shows me that the staff has been trained to put the customer first - its not 100% about the dollars. After ordering the wheel and waiting a few days I took the car back to wheel works for an appointment and they replaced the tires while I waited. Upon further inspection they found that my OTHER front wheel was also bent and would need replacement - otherwise it would wobble / vibrate. So I hopped back on eBay and found another wheel to replace. Fast forward another week and they offered to to swap the tire onto the new wheel free of charge (even though this was a week later and they had already mounted / balanced the first one). Huge props to them for finishing the original job and not expecting me to pay for a second visit. Every time I walked into the store front the person at the desk would greet me and say "I'll be right with you sir" even when he had a line of people and a phone ringing off the hook. Roy and Robert both helped me, and I had an awesome experience with both. I will definitely be buying my tires from here on out. read more

1 star total for the end to end Wheel Works experience. I went to wheel works online to get a quote for my tires. I got the quote and made an appointment with the location online. When I showed up the sales person said "great news, these tires are on sale". I thought that was a great news. When he gave me the total my jaw dropped. It was $300 more than the price I was quoted online. As it turns out Wheel Works online generates some bogus low $ amount that the dealer/installer is apparently completely unaware of. After some heated arguments I told them I was going to leave and go somewhere else. They finally agreed to give me the price that I was quoted online. I believe what Wheel Works online is doing is referred to as "bait and switch" which is totally illegal. I'm giving this location 2 stars for stepping up and giving me the price I was quoted but that's not saying much. Isn't that the price I should have paid? read more

Last week, I went in to have them look at my tire which was running low of air. They hurriedly looked at it and pointed out a abrasion on the tire and that I would need a new tire. That was not all - because I have an all wheel drive, he said I would have to replace them all for around $450. I didn't like his lack of concern so went to another tire place [ Big O in San Jose] to get their diagnosis. She looked at the tire and said, no, the abrasion was just a cosmetic rub but she discovered a screw in that tire that was causing the leaking air. So, they took care of it for $30 compared to Wheel Works $450. Their service person was totally unconcerned with the diagnosis and only wanted to make money. I had a 92 dodge stealth and had to take it back 4 times to get the alignment right. Even then it was still not quite right. Now I am having the same problem with another car. Brand new tires and the 1st alignment it pulled to the right now after the 2nd alignment its pulling to the left. Ive never been able to get a decent alignment at this place. I took my car around the corner and got it aligned and it was perfect 1st time. I do not recommend this place for alignments. read more

Service is good. It gives professional suggestion for your tire. I pick my Bridgestone S-04 whole set here and they did a excellent job. Price is little bit higher than what you will pay at Costco. But, service is really good and u will get insurance also. Strongly suggested to come if you need tire service. read more

I had work done @ this location to replace lock cylinder for $500. On my Mercedes Benz now I have five issues/problems I didn't have before that's wrong with my vehicle. I had my car towed to wheel work so I provided myself with my own rental car while my car was getting repair..Roy told me bring my car back so they take a look okay I told Roy I still need get to work drop and pick my kids up from school im single father Roy wanted me to provide myself with another rental @ my expense... the reason I am back because your Technician.
