Avoid Wheel Works - The Worst Customer Experience Ever I had a truly infuriating experience at Wheel Works, 39270 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, and I feel obligated to share this to prevent others from making the same mistake. I purchased a lifetime alignment service from Wheel Works in 2023, expecting a straightforward process. Today, I visited the Fremont location to get my alignment done, only to find myself trapped in a chaotic, frustrating mess. First, they spent 15 minutes digging through their system, only to tell me they couldn't find any record of my lifetime service. I had to remind them that I originally purchased it at their Milpitas shop, which they should have been able to verify without my involvement. I ended up spending an hour on the phone, bouncing between the Fremont and Milpitas locations, trying to prove that I actually bought this service. It was an exhausting, unnecessary back-and-forth that they should have resolved internally. Then, while I was sorting out their system mess, another customer jumped the line for alignment. When I finally thought I was next, I waited patiently until 5:15, only to be told that the technician responsible for my alignment had just clocked out, and I would need to come back another day. Throughout this ordeal, I felt completely disregarded as a customer. The staff acted as if my wasted time was my problem, not theirs. Their attitude screamed, "We don't care about you. This is your headache, not ours." It felt like they were doing me a favor just by acknowledging my presence, and the lack of basic customer service was suffocating. To sum it up: Terrible Record Management: They couldn't find my service record, even though it's supposed to be a lifetime service accessible from any location. Poor Communication: I had to act as the middleman between two locations just to get a simple service validated. Disrespectful Attitude: They clearly couldn't care less about customer satisfaction, making the whole experience deeply frustrating. I had the absolute worst experience at Wheel Works in Campbell, and I feel compelled to share it so others can avoid the same frustration. The service was dismissive, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. As a young woman, I went in alone, and it was clear they did not care about my experience. Both technicians, Gilbert and Andrew, treated me with a lack of respect, and their behavior bordered on sexism. After they performed a service on my car, I returned to report some odd noises, only to be met with hostility and the suggestion that the problem was somehow my fault. Instead of being helpful, they dismissed my concerns completely. To make matters worse, they tried to charge me $1,000 for a service that only required a $200 part. They were adamant that I needed to fix these car issues right then and there, pressuring me to make a hasty decision. I felt cornered and taken advantage of, especially after I had trusted them to provide a fair and honest service. They were dismissive of my questions and made it seem like I was inconveniencing them by asking questions. I also reached out to both the shop directly and the 1-800 Wheel Works line, where I was told a supervisor would contact me about my experience. Well, that never happened. I was completely ignored. To anyone, especially young women, I strongly advise against doing business with this location. It's clear that the staff here, particularly Gilbert and Andrew, do not value their customers. This wasn't just a one-time bad experience, I've had two negative interactions here, and both times, I was treated poorly and made to feel unimportant. Please save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere. This is not a shop that respects its customers, and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

In order to adequately express how terrible this place is I would have to give it a negative rating of about -5. I went here to get my spare tire replaced by a tire the same size as the rest on my car. I got home only to realize that my spare tire was replaced with another tire of the same size. I called wheel works and they said they could help me no problem. Once I got there they tried to make me purchase an additional full size tire (which is what I wanted in the first place) for $200 + dollars. I called the manager and told him what happened and he came the next day and blamed me for confusing his technician and refused to refund me or to replace my tire. A day or two later I brought my girlfriend with me and the technician AND manager started making up lies about what had happened. I still have to report these people to the better business bureau about their unethical behavior. This store and its workers are smug, cheap, unethical, rude and are liars. I would never go here again, in fact I would pay a tow truck $100 bucks just to take me somewhere other then their place. They will scam lie and cheat anyone to make a buck. read more

I started going to this Wheel Works about 10 years ago. Since then, I've tried many different shops in the area, including the Wheel Works in Los Gatos(never again, those guys are terrible). I've come back to this location, and am staying for good. These guys know their stuff, and do very good work. I really wish I had just stuck with these guys in the first place. Some lessons are best learned the hard(and expensive) way I suppose. I just got some new tires for my truck, and Albert helped me out. He was very courteous and professional, and answered all the questions I had. I had specified certain numbers for my alignment, and they got it close, but not quite. When I pointed this out, Albert apologized, and had the truck pulled back into the garage, and the alignment fine tuned, getting the numbers that I wanted. It did take a while to get it all done, but it was done CORRECTLY, which in my book, is what really matters most. All in all, this is the place to go for tires, balancing, and alignments. I've never had repair work done there, but I'm sure they do good on that as well. read more

I had a terrible experience at the Wheel Works on White Oaks in Campbell. I brought my car in for spark plug replacement and was charged $975 - more than double what it should cost. They billed me $68 per spark plug (6 total = $408), even though the exact plugs retail for about $18 each. Another Wheel Works nearby quoted me around $550 total, with plugs at $25 each. Clearly this location is marking things up unfairly. When I raised the issue with the manager, Jasper, he offered no help. I asked for the area manager (Paul Bae) to call me - he never did. I followed up again, still no response. The complete lack of accountability and customer care is unacceptable. Bottom line: I feel ripped off, overcharged by several hundred dollars, and ignored by management. Save yourself the frustration, go to another shop that's honest and transparent about pricing. read more

I had a great experience at Wheel Works in White Oaks Rd. Campbell. The staff is very friendly andhelpf. Through the process I talked to both Roy and Richard. I took my car in for an oil change & they even did an evaluation of my car, flushed the tank & checked the tires for me. They gave me a call to talk about the evaluation. The service was done within a few hours of dropping it off on what looked like a really busy Friday. I had just gone in for an oil and they did way more than I was expecting!!! I am very thankful to the staff at Wheel Works Campbell spacially Roy and Richard, thank you both for keeping in contact with me about my car and what needed to be done after the evaluation!! read more

After calling 15 different tire shops, this place was the only one that had my tire. They replaced it fast and the service was good, however, they told me my alignment was off and offered to fix it. I was traveling back home from San Jose and I was in a hurry so I declined. After taking it to Honda Dealership in my town, they said there was nothing wrong with the alignment and Wheel Work's tester must be calibrated wrong. I called Wheel Works to let them know, but I got a pretty rude response. It made me feel like their calibration was off on purpose to try and get more money out of me. read more

This place will rip you off unless you're a mechanic or know about cars, but if you must go here, double check your estimated invoice before signing. They added $120+ of "optional services" over the online quoted price, (for a set of 4 tires), services I did not need nor did they disclosed them before they asked me to sign. During the installation they "found" a jammed lug nut which added $33 to the price. The chubby store manager is a crook, don't be fooled by his friendly manner. Avoid this shop if you can, you'll save money. read more

The service is crap, the employees can careless about the customer and our service and/or complaints. I almost done know where to start! Fast, friendly and efficient service would sum it up for 99% of them. There was one guy though that seemed like his head was in the clouds, while everyone else seemed to buzz around with energy. As i was getting ready to leave, i asked him if he could move the car that was blocking mine. He said that wasn't one of their cars, and made no effort to check. I have had my Honda serviced here many times, and I love their customer service! They don't charge you for anything you don't need, they explain what they DO charge you for, they honor the things that are under warranty and TELL you about it instead of charging you anyway. Roy and his team were very professional. Both front wheels were in need of an overhaul and were making all kinds of noises. Roy and his team got the job done quickly, and I picked the car up on the same day. With new shocks, the car feels much firmer and the braking also feels tighter than before. Everything was well done and the car feels a lot better. Will definitely return for any brake/suspension/tire needs. read more

One of my tires had a nail in it. So, I went in to have it repaired. They end up damaging the tire where it needed the repaired (they said that they took off to much of the rubber where the sealer would be. They ended up giving me a new tire free of charge. Now that 's customer service. It was a little inconvenient because they had to order the tire, but everything turned out great. read more

I'm so impressed with the amazing customer service by Albert and the Wheel Works team. Their honesty put me at ease and didn't make me feel like they were doing unnecessary work to make more money.
