This is my (and many others) neighborhood coffee shop. Been coming here routinely for years. Lately there are bad reviews about one employees' rude attitude and constant wrong drink orders (and then she gets angry at the customer for her making the wrong drink or try's to make them pay again for the right order). Yes, I (and many other people) know exactly which employee this is. She is more than rude. She is nasty. She coughs in peoples coffees (please where a mask if you come to work with a cough!) and they return it because they don't feel comfortable drinking it and she asks "what's your problem". I could go on and on. I can't believe a great place like Bison in the best and friendliest neighborhood in Nashville would continue to let this person continue to drive customers away. I dread going to the counter when I see her at the register and even more dread it when I see her making the drinks. Love Bison but until this is dealt with, I can't change my rating to the 5-star I know they usually are. read more

Very rude baristas! It felt like ordering a pour over was an inconvenience. Went back the next morning and they had their holiday hours posted wrongly. (Multiple other customers had been keep waiting) When they addressed the issue, the door was rudely shut in my face! read more

This place is a great alternative to the other packed coffee shops on 12th South, plus it's the only convenience store within a half mile in any direction. The staff is really awesome, especially Shonda and the new GM. Plus, the balcony is one of the secret gems of 12th south. Definitely the cheapest place to sit and have a couple beers of coffee with friend. read more

Coffee is not bad at all. The earlier you come the better the people are lol. They are in a gas station so it gets a bit ratchet after a certain time of the day just like any gas station on earth. The people will treat you the way you treat them, So yeah. read more

It's hit or miss. When it goes well great food, coffee ... when it doesn't can't find parking, drinks wrong, sandwich's wrong waiting, for no reason ... I have loved White Bison for the past few months but unfortunately, their lack of getting the fires fixed has upset my routine and I don't frequent there as often. The gas line (I think) got messed up during the ice storm at the beginning of January and it's the middle of February and it hasn't been fixed yet. It's too cold to sit on the patio without the fires. I've reached out to management and asked employees and no one knows when it will be fixed. By next month, the fires will be unnecessary in that weather. Super frustrating since I work from home and would frequent White Bison multiple times a week. The music is too loud inside to get work done or work on my own music. After having reached out online and hearing nothing back, I have a bad taste in my mouth about the franchise as a whole. I still will go to pick up a coffee but I won't be able to enjoy it again until the weather gets nice which is so beyond frustrating! read more

Stopped by for an evening pick-me-up before going out with some friends and we loved the whole experience. The venue itself was adorable, a great hang out spot. The baristas were friendly and engaging. Our drinks were both tasty-- I got a vanilla latte and my husband got a white bison mocha (think a basic white chocolate mocha). I don't care if it's owned by Daily's. It is, hands down, the best espresso shop in town. The staff is amazing, professional, efficient, and friendly. The upstairs patio is the place to be for people-watching on 12th. If you're listening, Management, Pip, Angela, and Shonda deserve bonuses and raises and kudos. They also need a credit/debit machine that offers the option to leave tips. Who as cash anymore? I am there almost every morning and they know me by name. White Bison offers a pleasant spot to sit inside or outside and work. The staff is friendly and doesn't bother you. The coffee, however, is watered down and lacks flavor. The iced coffee had more ice than coffee and wasn't worth the price. read more

Gone are the days of overcrowded cafes that are loud and turn their WiFi off of too many people are there (sup @Fido). Welcome to a beautiful new world where the coffee is great, it is priced about 30-40% cheaper/better than the places right down the road, the space is comfortable, and the employees are the nicest humans this side of Oprah's Favorite Things episode. Love coming here to get work done. The upstairs is pretty quiet and, they have an incredible deck overlooking 12 S with all sorts of patio furniture for you to relax and feed your caffeine addiction. But honestly, it is attached and split with a twice daily where you can buy tall boy cans of beer that are gas station pricing and the fact that you have the option to pound a Natty Light after sipping eloquently on a delicious handcrafted latte really excites me. read more

We are visiting from out of town. This is a really neat coffee place, super nice staff, great atmosphere, and amazing coffee.

I'm confused as to why this place has so many good reviews. Upon entering, we were not greeted, nor welcomed into the facility. As tourists here, a little assistance would be appreciated. However, we were just blankly stared at for quite some time. When ordering, there was no friendliness nor positive customer service interaction, no offer of help or a nice "hello" even. Coffee was equally as bad. Many food items were unavailable which is fine but at least offer another option that you do have and don't just say "no. Repeatedly" ugh. Not a good way to start our first day of vacation. Also note, one of the employees touched her face with her gloves and did not change them nor wash her hands prior to handling our drinks and food items. Disgusting. Considering we are in a pandemic, hand hygiene and proper food handling should be increased and demonstrated frequently. read more

White Bison is expanding like crazy across Nashville. This new location is in the heart of 12 South, which is great, because the coffee shops on 12 South are crazy packed all the time. This location of White Bison is HUGE. It has some seating downstairs where the coffee bar is, and it has seating upstairs and some outside on the patio of the second floor (you can drink your coffee and do some people watching). It also has a shop with snacks, food, and drink items downstairs as well. I've never been blown away by their coffee (and they always seem to serve your drink in plastic even if you tell them you want the drink for there), but a little extra coffee competition on 12 South seems like a good thing. Still, it's 12 South, so there's no parking other than what you could find for anything else on 12 South. For that reason, this White Bison isn't a location I'd visit unless I'm already on 12 South for another reason (like last Sunday when I visited for the first time). read more

Myself and my family are here visiting Nashville, reviewing the culture, atmosphere, friendliness etc. I would rate this coffee place a 1/10 in regards to friendliness! Our party of 8 came here because of all the good reviews, however, there were no other customers inside and there were 4 employees working, no of whom greeting us. I said, "Good morning, how are you?" hoping for a friendly reply and the girl with the short gray hair started back at me and gave no response whatsoever. I asked for one of their toast times and she said "we are all out" without offering a suggestion. I then asked for another breakfast sandwich and she said "we are out." The other employees were only feet away from her and yet nobody offered suggestions or said what they do have available. I couldn't get a single smile out of any of them. The facility is clean and appears newer, however, it feels like a coffee house and a gas station/convenience store had a baby. There is a nice seating area of front that had an outdoor warmer. I would not bring my family back here again because I prefer to be in a warm and friendly environment that makes me want to stay longer, hand out, and spend more money there but that is NOT the case here! 2 thumbs down on their customer service read more

Another excellent cafe on 12 South. Only a few months old and still relatively unknown, so uncrowded, compared with other spots on 12 South. This cafe has by far the most comfortable chairs and best views for people-watching on 12 South. And the coffee is pretty good too. Plus, it's co-located with a Twice Daily, so lots of convenience store items within as well. Oh, and the coffee house music is always pretty good too read more

Coffee is ok, the coffee server, because I won't call him a Barista, first wouldn't give me an espresso in a espresso cup, because I ordered a double.. so I said, you can put it in a larger cup, to which he rolled his eyes. Any real coffee drinker knows, paper cups change the taste of true espresso coffee. Second he didn't warm the cup, instant cold coffee because the mug absorbs the heat and pulls it from the coffee. Third we sat at a table and didn't see an area for our cups, so we put $3 down for a tip, for clean up (three people were working). Cashier with short hair was rude and whoever she was training. Made me feel like I couldn't order anything and that I was messing with their downtime. I also waited for my food, went up and asked, and it was sitting on the counter for 10 minutes when they didn't say anything about it being ready. Poor customer service. read more
