I didn't see the appt time available online but when I called, I was able to get in right away. Very clean and spacious. Lots of massage chairs. I got a gel pedicure and it was great. Nothing to complain about. I got a basic butter yellow color and she did a great job cleaning up the cuticles and my callouses. I actually used the massage chair and it was very nice. $55 for a gel pedicure! There is a charge for cc. I tipped in cash. I'll be back! read more

I don't get my nails done professionally very often because I like to do them myself but I figured I'd give this place a try because the price seemed reasonable for a gel pedicure. I had an appointment but the staff seemed very confused when I walked in and asked for my name 3 times before I sat down. The service itself is relaxing and definitely stands out from other places (scrub, hot stone massage, warm neck pillow, and the chairs are comfortable) and they had a large selection of nail colors as well. However, the technician that was working on my nails had to redo one of them several times and unfortunately I noticed a couple bubbles in my nails. The edges were also not cleaned very well. A bit disappointing, not sure if I would come back or I would at least request a different staff member. While I was paying, the lady was a bit aggressive in asking me if I had cash for a tip or if I was going to tip at all. I of course was planning to but that whole experience just put me off. I love this place! They just recently reopened from Lakeshore Plaza to Ocean Ave into a beautifully renovated shop with white walls and light beige toned decor. First feel was that they are very clean, some salons give a sad low feeling but Daisy nails feels very inviting you can't help to just want to step in and admire everything. All the women there are super nice and friendly. I always go to Sophia for my gel manicure and she always does me right. They have many options for you to choose, it's best to come in with pictures you find on Pinterest and they do really well by color matching. I wanted to love this place but no. I recently moved to the neighborhood & was looking for a nail home so I made an appointment with them since they're right down the block from my house. When I initially walked in I was impressed at how nice & clean they were. They do have a nice ambiance & were polite even offering a drink. I have an acrylic overlay on my natural nails & one of them broke so I wanted to have them all taken down to match the nail I broke & a fill. The lady that does my nails proceeds to get tips out & I'm like 'no I have natural nails' she's like 'yes but it's short' to which I reply 'I know that why I want them cut down' in the end I relented & just figured we could put on the tip & after a few fills I'd just have it soaked off & go from there, but in my mind I'm thinking strike 1. She did a good job on the rest of my nails BUT that one nail that she did is poorly shaped and feels lumpy. I find it odd that all the other nails are fine but not the one she did. If that one nail is indicative of how a fresh set would be then I'll pass. Sttike 2. I then proceeded to get a less than satisfactory eyebrow wax. The place I used to go to does an amazing job so the bar with me is high & it wasn't even close here! Even if I were to give this shop another try I wouldn't let them near my brows. Sttike 3. At the end when it came time to pay the lady was so aggressive in asking if I had cash to tip the person who did my nails that it threw me alllllll the way off!!!! Especially because here I am less than 24 hours later back at the shop because the paint on my thumb just started bubbling & peeling this morning. When I tell you I took a picture of my nails at midnight & they were fine only to wake up their morning & find bubbling & peeling....just no. Nails lifting from improper prep, Sophia is very rude, mixing of products I almost never leave reviews and don't want to put down businesses but it's been two weeks and I have to say something. To start off I'm a nail artist and have been working on clients professionally for five years so it doesn't sound like I'm just bashing here. The woman doing my manicure did not buff my nails at all or prep them properly and when I asked about it she unapologetically rolled her eyes at me. One week later they're of course lifting as I worried because there was no prep to adhere to. That is so frustrating as I paid and want them to last longer than a week or two and literally had to watch this happen even after saying something. This woman's attitude was not okay and disgusting, she would constantly roll her eyes at me and move snappily when I would nicely point out something off or improper for example one nail was lumpy, and she was about to use gel x soft gel glue to make a hard builder gel manicure which is totally wrong. She was trying to push it but I asked her to use builder gel and she started using the wand from the soft gel to put into the builder gel bottle.... That's insane and just ruined both bottles and risks gel allergies mixing products like that. She also called the shape the other woman who tried to originally shape my nails "ugly" multiple times. The original woman could not figure out how to shape my nails properly from the language barrier and ended up filing away lots of precious grown length on one hand before she took over. Anyways my nails looked pretty good so I added a star but... After two weeks I'm not over that experience and although I was really nice in the moment thinking back it makes my blood boil how I let her act like that towards me especially after not taking me seriously. I've even dealt with frustrating customers myself and It is not okay to treat a customer like that. This is my 3rd visit here... I went here for a mani-pedi and was so disappointed in the service. I asked for the same color for my nails and toes. The lady doing my pedicure decided to change the color without my consent. It wasn't until I asked what she was doing when another person who was doing my nails said she'd like to change it. After painting my toes, she cut the sides of my toes with her clippers and nailed the top of my toe nails- I guess to clean up her mess. My manicure has a bump on the thumb. My first time here just last week for the grand opening on Ocean Avenue in San Francisco . very impressive place and spanking new everything . You can tell the owner takes pride in pleasing her customers. She walks around checks everything out, extremely attentive . I've never been anywhere where they offer a warm neck pillow while you're getting a manicure. I was very impressed as I watched people come in to have pedicures done I mean serious pampering. Lots of people came in from the old west portal location, which apparently burnt down last year. My nails were done by Hanna and I'm telling you ....they are just beautiful. I told her I did not want them thick and I like them slightly, curved and she followed my directions. Good selection of OPI polish (my preferred), and they use Seche Vite top coat (inexpensive holy grail of top coats; if you don't know of it and do your own nails on occasion, go buy it on Amazon for just a few $--it will literally change your life). They offer hot tea and a hot neck pillow. $42 for a standard mani/pedi, which includes the rose petal/lemon foot bath. 5 chairs for foot baths. It was a disaster I asked for a design and I told them I wanted short nails when half through the process I asked about the short nails and they tried to tell me i did not aak when I did . Worst eyebrows waxing ever. Came in as a walk in and said I wanted my eyebrows wax, they didn't even gave me the price list and just said to follow the woman that would work on me. Just brushed it off after as I know they are busy. But oh boy the worst was yet to come. I laid down as the lady said and showed her a picture of what i wanted my brows to look like. She just put powder on my eyebrows and that's it, most salons I go to wipes my eyebrows off with water or something first to remove anything on the skin as it might have a reaction w/ the wax. She just put it on like she was in a hurry then proceed to put wax on my brows I flinched as she put it on and never asked me if I was okay. I just thought that maybe I was just being sensitive as it was cold outside and just left it out, I know I should have said something but I was just in a hurry to get it over with as I never had any bad experience w/ waxing until now. I have a a burnt skin underneath my eyebrows and it's painful to even touch or wash off. I eill never comeback here ever again. Worst experience ever!! I would have given -1 star if I could.
