As blind luck would have it, we were walking along the Front St. boardwalk around sunset when we espied the sign, "Key Lime Martinis' ". That was enough to peek our curiosity and we strolled on in. This little gem of a find turned out to be a wine shop/bar combination. With a decent selection of wine and liquor on the left and a small horse shoe shaped bar on the right, we soon found ourselves at home. As it turned out this place had more of a local following than the normal tourist attractions around town, being filled with mostly boat captains, crews and fishermen. The vanilla vodka and lime juice based Key Lime martinis did not disappoint as they were not too sweet but just refreshing enough to have as the sun set to the west. A final added plus to this bar that added the fifth star was the fact that you could buy crackers, cheese and different salumi from their deli case and they arranged and plated it for you on a cheese board and delivered it to you at the bar at no extra charge. Just remember to not feed the friendly little dog who has free run of the place and fits in perfectly with his harbor surroundings. read more

After hearing about the key lime pie martini here, I added it to my must-visit list for my trip. True to rumor, the key lime pie martini was pretty tasty! It had a nice, wide rim of graham cracker and a bright, limey flavor. I liked that it didn't include half-and-half as I could delude myself into thinking it wasn't that bad for me! So, I liked the martini, why the three stars, then? Well, first, considering this is a combo wine store/wine bar-ish place, I thought the wine list for ordering by the glass was kind of limited. We have a combo place like this in Richmond, and the selection is much more varied, plus the staff is just more excited about wine. The bar was pretty bustling for an afternoon, and had a nice mix of friendly locals and tourists. We were stopping there before happy hour hopping, and got lots of friendly suggestions on where to go. Also, because it was a Sunday (I think), they had a pretty nice b-y-o bloody mary bar with fun fixin's. I'd probably stop in here again for a drink or two on my next Key West visit, or if I was looking for a bottle of wine to go. read more

Half bar, half liquor store, this joint also has a pretty interesting little deli attached to its back end. They have a good selection of cold cuts, sandwich combos, soups, and salads. We picked up a brisket sandwich and chopped salad for lunch. The inside seating was almost exclusively for the use of the bar patrons, but since it was 100 degrees outside, we bellied up to the bar for our meal. The bar tender was very good at his job and kept the patrons of this laughing and cheerful. He also did not begrudge us our meal space and lack of alcoholic orders. The brisket was a little dry but came on muffeletta bread with au ju sauce for dipping. The chopped salad contained a wealth of cheese, chicken, pepperoni, and summer sausage cubes, to the point that I had to search for salad and veggies beneath the meat festival. We were sent here by a local raving about their huge $.50 oysters, after hearing where we were going to happy hour. "The ones at the White Tarpon are way larger and better than the other places." Unfortunately we didn't find that to be the case. The oysters were fine and you can't beat the $.50 price, but they weren't large at all. The bartender was super great and the atmosphere is very chill and laid-back. This is a good spot, don't get me wrong, but I wasn't a huge fan of the oysters. The deli I believe stays open until 10 if you want food. Just think of it as a deli/market that happens to have a bar and cheap oysters. We came here because we were told by some locals that they had a great Key Lime Pie martini and they were right! The martini has a graham cracker crust rim and its the perfect amount of tangy and sweet. They fill the glass all the way to top so you definitely get your dollars worth. They also have a wheel that you can spin after your first drink. If you land on yellow you get a free drink and if you land on any of the black you have to buy another drink at full price. It's a good chance to take if you already know you are going to get another drink. We also met two very nice bar tenders that really added to the experience. Open-air front to the pier allows for a slight breeze on hot days. Soft live music when we were there for happy hour. Menu: 4/5, good happy hour specials and appetizers. Some of our friends tried the burgers/sandwiches with no complaints. My wife loves the peel-n-eat shrimp. First day they were mediocre. Second time the were perfectly seasoned and still soft (half price during happy hour) . I had the wings with sweet chili sauce. They were great but they need to check their math (regular menu is $12 for 10 wings, happy hour was $8 for 6 wings making them more expensive during happy hour). Good Bloody Mary bar during early hours and a Mojito bar in the afternoon. Service: 3/5, seems like relatively new staff and still learning the menu and general service practices. Great location on boardwalk in the key west marina. You can eat,drink and watch yachts outside. Nice big patio right next to boardwalk and also a open air dining room you can see the water. Also a bar, oyster bar and a bakery are all in the same building. The place is clean and nicely decorated with friendly staff. If I could give less than one star, I would, unfortunately, because we are locals of Key West and returning patrons I feel like I have too. we were shocked with Patrick's behavior and attitude toward us at the bar. After waiting more than 10 minutes with no eye contact and him wiping the bar down he FINALLY took our order. The wine my friend preferred had gone sour, probably due to the heat, it happens. No big deal. He took the glass and replaced it with a different choice, but charged me for it! I ordered crab cakes (which were amazing as always ) and jalapeño poppers off the happy hour menu. The jalapeño poppers were COMPLETELY empty... Patrick's reply was "well order off the real menu". By this point we were irritated and commented we wouldn't be back...His response was that we would not be missed!! He did take them off the bill but commented you did eat half of them... No, I kept opening them to see if the rest were empty! Only one had cheese in it!!! As returning patrons to this establishment. it is with a sad heart that I leave a bad review but they need to look at their employees and how they treat their patrons because our service was COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Oysters 50 cents each and they were so good they were like butter melting in your mouth. We tried a half dozen during the day and they were so yummy that we went back at night to get some more. They had live music which was very good. The staff is so much fun and friendly too. We are definitely putting this place on our list of must stops when we are in Key West. read more

If you're on vacation, don't waste your time or money here. The food is terrible. The menu is limited, burgers, chicken, wings, quesadillas... not the type of food you'd expect on a dock close to fresh Florida seafood. I came with my girlfriend, I got wings, peel and eat shrimp, and a fish dip. The shrimp were typical of a grocery store, no better than what you can pick up from a nearby Publix. The dip was a bad version of a basic tuna sandwich filling. But the biggest reason for the 1 star rating was the wings. I understand if it was a seafood restaurant that had bad wings, but this bar and grill basically only had specialties of wings & burgers.
