Everything was purely delicious! I don't eat meat but all of the seafood dishes we ordered were spectacular. We had oysters, salmon tartar, calamari, and whole branzino entree. Other friends had the cowboy ribeye and center cut filet and they raved about their dishes. The manager, Sydney was lovely and helpful in curating our experience. Wicked Butcher got it all right! They made it an experience for us. The quality of their food is top tier. Their service is unmatched. Our server Makael was amazing. She was incredibly personable. She made great suggestions for us and was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The manager Sally was also very friendly and accommodating. She greeted us immediately and chatted with us for a minute. She also gave us complementary steak tartare and desserts for our anniversary. We thought that was incredibly sweet and generous. My steak was cooked to perfection with a proper Pittsburg crust. My husband's beef Wellington was delicious. The steak tartare was so full of flavor and the crunchy cones it was in was the perfect amount of crisp with a delicious horseradish at the bottom. Our drinks were delicious and beautiful. Our desserts were so rich and high quality. Possibly the best crème brûlée I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and the service. Came here for my wifes Bday. I picked the place since it showed up on Eaters lists and had good reciews. The ambiance was nice. You were able to see some of the cuts of meat and for a wednesday night the place was obviously not busy. We were seated quickly and we had placed orders immediately. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The highlight was the waiter who was just amazing. I hate that im blanking on his name but he was excellent. Best waiter ive had in a while. He gave mostly good recommendations. We had the steak tartare which was just amazing. Get these. This was easily the best tartare i had in a while. It was dressed as ice cream cones with a wasabi sauce which was perfect. Easily the best thing we ate. The steak was just alright. We had the dry aged rib eye which we split in half. Neither me or my wife can eat a whole 16oz steak by ourself. It was cooked medium. The cook was perfect just the seasoning left something to be desired. The truffle butter was good and they gave you lots of it. The waiter recommended the corn creme brulee which we ordered because of the novelty but it was something of Americans trying to be cute and put a variation on a dish that is popular. The idea was nice but just not executed well. There was too much creme and there was whole corn not minced. It was the one dish we wish we had not ordered. When it came time for dessert they brought out a confetti cake which was massive. The presentation was top tier with a sparkler and an amazing waiter who sang happy birthday and had some Vocal talent. He included a vibrato with good projection and everything. The cake portionwas generous however was very dry and the icing was the better part of the cake. Overall we threw out the cake since we didnt care too much for it. Overall this place has some excellent dishes but there is variation in the quality of dishes so just be aware and read reviews ahead of time. We probably wont be coming back anytime soon but if a friend invited us to dinner there we wouldnt be upset. This place should get 4-4.5 instead of a flat 4 but yelp Doesnt allow for it so gave it a 5. read more

The food was amazing. We got the salmon tartar, oyster, the porterhouse (which was one of the best steaks I have ever had) , the corn, Brussels and truffle fries. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. Topped it off with the banana pudding which was *chefs kiss* I forgot his name but the tall white guy with the beard and the short hair was our server and he was absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best service Iv ever had. After dinner we went to the lounge area for some desert drinks and the espresso martini made our night perfect. Highly recommend visiting wicked butcher. There are many trendy and picturesque steakhouses in downtown and Dallas alike but lack in having the best food. There are also amazing steakhouses that are too dark and uninviting but serve amazing food. Somehow, Wicked Butcher in Dallas finds a way of breaking through both and shining in quality of food, drinks and my favorite, top tier customer service. From the doorman to the front desk to the waiters and staffed we walked by to get to the bar. Everyone is smiling and attentive to your needs. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly which is a welcome to the sometimes blunt and straightforward downtown bartenders you might encounter sometimes. For example the bartender overheard we were celebrating a big life event and brought us two glasses of champagne. A waiter walked by on his way to his table and noticed my wife dropped her cloth napkin and picked it up and handed her a new one. This night we only went for appetizers and drinks but both were amazing. The drinks had a nice pour but balanced and flavorful. The appetizers were large in portion size and the pita that accompanied the hummus tasted homemade. The hummus was perfect. While we skipped the steak this go round, if it's anything like its Fort Worth location, I expect to enjoy it as much as I did the rest of the menu tried. I look forward to trying more food and updating my review as I go. Don't overthink it and go! My only suggestion is to consider happy hour in the future. read more

My wife and I were in Dallas for an annual event at the Market Hall and I wanted to take her out for a date. With a lucky feeling I picked this restaurant off of the list on Yelp and what a good call it was. I'm not rich, but I've eaten at almost a dozen "four dollar sign" restaurants in my life now and without a doubt: This. Was. The. Best. We ordered lobster bisque, caesar salad, beef wellingtons, and for dessert, creme brûlée and chocolate soufflé. Wow. Everything was perfectly cooked, wonderfully seasoned, and the beef inside the wellies were somehow a perfect medium rare. Five star food, fantastic service, excellent ambiance. Over all, an incredible experience and my wife and I will definitely be back again next year! P.s.: as a bit of constructive criticism, it would be fantastic if you added some easier drinks on your bar menu for us lightweights. I loved the rosé champaign I had, but I wasn't really in the mood for that and would have preferred a milder, fruity cocktail if I had seen it on the menu. read more

WOW!! We ubered but when we got out, the Valet quickly opened the door and greeted us so genuinely to Wicked Butcher. A lovely lady named Sally welcomed us at the host stand to check us in for our reservation. Sally walked us to our table and introduced us to our server Steven. He was AMAZING!! Attentive, Charismatic, Polite, the food was just as good! I'm not a fan of set menus but it's Valentines Day so that's what we had. I was very pleasantly surprised. There were 4+ choices for each course unlike most restaurants 2 choices. Each course came out in good timing with no lag in between. I eat Steak every Friday and the 8oz steak from Wicked Butcher was the best Steak I've ever had. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant and i would ask for Cario for your Waiter. We initially dined at the Wicked Butcher in Ft Worth and had an amazing dinner and experience so we decided to try this Dallas location. Overall we were disappointed that it was not at all like our initial Ft Worth dining. I made the reservation about a month in advance. It was our Anniversary which I noted on the reservation. We visited Sat evening Nov 23 at 7pm. From the very beginning we were disappointed. Having a reservation, we were seated at a table IN the BAR. RIGHT across from the bar. It was very loud and lots of commotion. I almost said something & asked to be moved but was trying not to be difficult. It just was not the nice intimate reserved atmosphere that we wished for having an anniversary dinner for two. Even if it wasn't our anniversary, it still wasn't the atmosphere we wanted for a nice dinner out. The service was slow in the beginning but eventually someone attended to us. The rest of the service was fine. Not super like before, but fine. Dinner was good, drinks were fine. All the while, loud bar, people coming & going and chatting and laughing out loud etc (Fine for a bar, not fine for a nice dinner) The table next to us, 2 ladies just walked in and took the table, so I guess I'm still stumped as to why a RESERVATION for two ended up being seated in the bar? At a minimum ask if that's ok. Meanwhile the dining room next to us looked a lot more of what we desired for a nice evening out. We did not eat dessert because we really just wanted to leave and get desert and another drink someplace else. I was also disappointed that there was no mini champagne starter like there was in Ft Worth. I did see them pouring the champagnes up front where the greeter was but we did not get any at our table? It was a nice touch in Ft Worth. So with 2 filets, 1 salad, 1 side of potatoes and a few drinks dinner was 250. In our minds it wasn't really worth it. One of the best dining decisions I've made in ages! This is a perfect pre-show dining choice just around the corner from The Majestic. Sophisticated western vibe, outstanding service from seating to check presentation at the end! Serving team was attentive and personable with knowledgeable advice about steak options. Love the sauce options for the steak and the wedge salad was the best I've ever had. I would return and order the exact same thing but will want to try other items on the menu.
