What else are you going to get when you travel to Boston? The first day after a grueling red eye flight we came to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall which had a lovely traditional food hall vibes. Grab your food and go vibes. There were plenty of establishments that sold lobster rolls, clam chowder what have you, but we came to this place. Cost about 30-40$ for the set to share, bit pricey but lobster roll alone nowadays cost 20$ plus anyways. What's going for it were the serious chunks of lobster that tasted fresh and bouncy, a solid experience in the end. read more

You all know I don't give out 5 stars easily, but this place was well earned. The lobster roll was cooked to perfection. The roll was soft and buttery. The lobster was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of seasoning. Paired nice with a lemon to drizzle across. The clam chowder was also nice and tasty. Easily the best (and most expensive) lobster roll I've ever had. I got a classic, warm lobster roll and it came CRAMMED with meat. Also it wasn't just left over pieces of meat, it was good fully in fact lumps from the claw, not the chewy, grisly kind you sometimes get at chains like Luke's Lobster. I definitely recommend giving this a try if you're walking around there! read more

We were told that lobster rolls were a must in the New England area. We didn't enjoy cold rolls but the hot lobster rolls here were the garlic buttery ness that made the Uber expensive worth it! Food: It was okay. They put plenty of lobster, but there was no flavor in the lobster. I wish they seasoned it or did something to give it a bit more flavor. Also the lobster sandwich ONLY had lobster in it; no veggies or anything. The clam chowder was pretty good. They give enough clams for every bite. Very pleasantly surprised! Nervous about the freshness and deliciousness of food hall fare I trusted my gut and Yelp reviews and checked out Wicked Lobsta. The lobster roll was hearty and had a great flavor. There was a good ratio of claw to tail meat and the bun was toasty and buttery. The chowder was rich and hearty and good but sadly did not have a lot of clams. The combo was inclusive of the sandwich, chowder and drink and was reasonably priced at $34 total. We were very disappointed with the meals here. Ordered two of their specials which comes with a chowder and lemonade each. First was the lobster salad roll and the second was the lobster melt. Let's start with the lobster salad roll - lots of mushed up lobster pieces and tons of lettuce at the bottom. The lobster melt was overly greasy and oily. It was like eating a mouthful of oil! The chowder was watery with barely any clams nor potatoes! Lemonade was good though so I give them that at least. The menu at the counter stated market price so the guy told us $33.50 a piece. A total of $67 - good lord! We arrived around 5 pm ish when the market was quite dead so they thought they could probably get away with serving people trash and seeing that we're tourists, that we're never coming back anyway. Not only that, we walked down a few stalls later on and saw that Boston Chowda House had the same type of manager special on their menu for only $28?! It makes me wonder if the guy at the counter thought we were stupid and that he can name whatever price he wanted because we're two naive looking Asian women. It really ruined our first impression of a good Boston lobster roll until we got one at Legal's at the waterfront which was a huge roll with tons of chunks and comes with fries for $36! My traditional Maine lobster roll was decent, it is cold lobster with lots of mayo and a spice mix sprinkled on top. Just not that impressive. Next time I'll order one of the warm rolls. Or better yet go to legal where they are pricier but so much flavorful. read more

Came to Boston on a trip and knew I had to try a Lobster Roll. Went straight to Quincy Market and there were 2-3 good options for lobster rolls. This place had a shorter line so I decided to ordered a hot lobster roll here. It was absolutely delicious! Ordered the baked haddock and the lobster roll special (lobster roll; cup of chowder and a can of soda) My son said the haddock was good. The lobster roll was DRY DRY DRY and no butter. Completely tasteless. The chowder was great! The cashier (301 AM Cashi) was less than happy to be working. It was clearly written all over her face. She does not listen either as I had to repeat myself several times. The supervisor and server were quick and officiant. Complete waste of money and my time on my 1/2 hour lunch break. We stumbled upon this place in Quincy Market on our first day in Boston. The lobster melt was $36 but it was something different from a lobster roll so we decided to get it. Boy was I glad we did!! The cheese added so much flavor and made it so perfect. It was perfectly buttered and toasted with generous amounts lobster with the perfect amount of cheese inside. I wasn't stunned by my hot lobster roll. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But, for the somewhat outrageous price of 40 dollars for the roll and a drink, it was hard to justify a good review. The lobster was fresh and came in a solid portion size but lacked flavor. I think it will always feel a little outrageous to me to pay $60+ for 2 lobster rolls/sandwiches but hey, "when in New England" I guess. The lobster roll and the lobster grilled cheese did not disappoint. The lobster itself wasn't as tender as I had hoped, it was a little tough and chewy but for a lunch hall I suppose it's right on par and was better than some of the other lobster rolls that looked like they were sitting in a window keeping warm waiting to be handed to someone. I watched this kitchen prepare my food fresh and it was handed to me the second it was cooked. read more

The easiest 5 out of 5 I've ever given. My girlfriend and I are on vacation up in Boston for Labor Day weekend. I'm from NJ and she's from Miami. As we were looking around Quincy Market in Boston, MA for something good to eat when we happened upon Wicked Lobsta which we found had the highest rating of all places in the Market. Checking out the menu, everything sounded delicious. We decided upon the Hot Lobster Roll, Lobster Mac and Cheese and the Clam Chowda in a Bread Boule. Unfortunately, they were out of the Mac and Cheese (it's their most popular item), so we decided on a Traditional Cold Lobster Roll. Now, I've had a lot of Lobster Rolls, but the Traditional Cold Lobster Roll from here was easily the BEST Lobster Roll I've ever had. The lobster meat was buttery and soft and easy to bite through, the mayo was delicious and tasty and enhances the taste of the lobster. The lettuce underneath added a nice crunch to it all, and the bread was the winner. The bread was soft but firm. It soaked up the juices of the lobster and mayo and was the perfect amount of buttery. The Hot Lobster Roll was just as yummy but I'd eat the cold one every day of the week. The Clam Chowda in the Bread Boule though won the day for my girlfriend and I. The clam chowda was hot and creamy and stuffed with clam. The bread was perfect and soaked up the creamy clam chowder sauce. Overall, we were easily impressed. That was the best Clam Chowda I have ever had. We also got the traditional homemade lemonade which paired nicely with our seafood. We would definitely eat here again and probably will. Seems like every time I pass by Quincy Market I'm rushing, either going to the harbor or catching a plane towards Logan but I always try to find time to grab a quick bite somewhere within the many pop ups in Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Aside from a variety of food items, the Marketplace has always had a mixture of large, brand name retail stores with smaller, locally owned boutiques and shops. We ordered the oysters (they've got a variety so you can choose), clam chowder, lobster roll, cioppino, and johnnycake. Oysters were fine, but the clam chowder was absolutely dismal. Not sure what happened, especially since it's so highly rated, but it was extremely watery and almost completely unseasoned. It could've definitely used salt at the very least. If I didn't know it was from Neptune, I'd have given it a 2/10. To my relief, the lobster roll was the total opposite. Succulent, juicy, heavenly. It was like being in Maine. The cioppino was also very good. The Johnnycake was an interesting but fun way to end the meal. It's a sweet pancake-like cornmeal covered in a syrupy glaze and topped with smoked bluefish paste, crème fraiche and caviar. I've never had anything like it. Nothing was super overpriced, but I personally prefer next door (Paulini's), which is much cheaper and while it isn't as good, it also doesn't require waiting in an hour in line. However, I think Neptune's is definitely worth a try as long as you're willing to wait in line.

Then, these very loud singers came in and started serenading all of us when we were trying to have a relaxing dinner. Like plug your ears loud. They sang a few songs and then went around with a gigantic venmo sign asking for money. I would NEVER have dined here if I knew it was a tourist scam with horrendous service. The only reason I gave this two stars is because that pasta was decent. I won't be ordering takeout though either.
