So yummy!!! This was our second breakfast spot for our weekend stay in downtown Indy. We walked from our hotel on monument circle and happen to catch it with no wait. The kids loved everything! And the staff was super helpful when they wanted some items removed from their egg dishes. The staff was super helpful when my son needed some crackers to take with his meds and promptly brought him a slice of toast which was even better. Wild eggs was an ok experience at best. Attended during a busy day ahead of the 500Festival. It appears that they had some scheduling issues and were not recovering well from it. To start, we were quoted 20-30 minutes for seating. Ended up taking over 45 mins. Luckily for us the service was pretty quick. The server did apologize in advance so that made up for it. Its a little crazy that a restaurant can feature several different kinds of eggs benedict on the menu but now know how to prepare a poached egg. I got the steak benedict - and my eggs were completely hard boiled. You just time them for 3 minutes in the water and they come out perfect. They must do this a hundered times a day but they still come up with hard boiled eggs? The steak was a little tough too but I could have lived with it if that was the only issue. Also, I think there was a total of one teaspoon of hollandaise sauce drizzled over both eggs. Come on - try a little ! So the falvors were there....it was simply not executed well. Great place! Their omelettes are made with 4 eggs so we always split one. The home fries are delicious. And we each had a blueberry muffin. When you order coffee, they bring you an entire thermos, which is wonderful! The only problem was that the coffee was not very hot( but I drank it any, of course). Stayed downtown for our anniversary weekend and decided to get brunch from somewhere we'd never been before. My husband saw a sign for Wild Eggs the previous night while we were out so we headed there in the morning. We gave our name and number to the receptionist and were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Ended up being more like 20 which was fine with us! I ordered the stuffed french toast. I've had it at other restaurants and wasn't really a fan because of the mascarpone inside. However, Wild Eggs uses sweetened cream cheese and also stuffs the french toast with blueberries and strawberries. It was definitely the best stuffed french toast I'd tasted! My hubby got a build your own omelette, pancakes, and breakfast potatoes. Glad he only got one pancake on the side because they are huge! On a snowy day last year, we slowly stomped over in our winter boots for a cozy brunch to celebrate the beautiful snowfall. Right now during quarantine, you can order takeout on their website, delivery on Doordash, or join their in-person waitlist on their website too. They're truly making it as easy as possible. When you order, I recommend trying the massive House Made Cinnamon Roll and Mr. Potato Head Casserole at least once! They're delish. This isn't usually my type of place I go to since breakfast food is not high on my list of things to eat. But I saw this place on the street and looked it up on Yelp. It had some interesting twists on eggs. I would say the decor doesn't scream "Wild" as it looks more quaint with pastel colors. But the menu makes up for it. It almost seems like a Mexican restaurant with the number of Mexican egg dishes or an aspect of a dish has some Mexican flair to it. There are other dishes that do not have the Mexican flair and sandwiches for those who do not want breakfast. I chose between the breakfast burrito and the Mr. Potatohead Casserole. I thought the casserole was more unique so I went with it. This is a crime to consider this dish breakfast. It had some kind skillet potatoes, cheese, and pico de gallo made together. Instead of breakfast sausage, I requested mine to be made with chorizo. That's never disappointing. Then it came with an egg on top. There is a reason that this was voted the best breakfast in Indy! I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. We came in on a busy Sunday and they were slammed; the wait was about an hour. No worries though; we walked to the arcade bar next door to kill time and keep us entertained! They texted us after about 45 min saying that our table was ready. Our server greeted us with a smile and apologized that we had been waiting a while, which I let her know we just got there, so you could tell she was busy! I tried to ordered the pomegranate mimosa, and it was good, but thought it was weird that it had pulp in it. The menu has a lot of unique items on it, rather than just plain ol bacon and eggs.. For my meal, I had the Kelsey KY Brown, since it had "award winning" next to it, as well as our server said it was her favorite thing on the menu. It was incredible. It had eggs, bacon, turkey, some type of cheese, tomatoes, sourdough bread, and smoked paprika. The flavors really went well together, and the turkey and egg yolk made the dish pop. I feel like a lot of brunch places charge outrageous amounts, and then serve mediocre food at best. This place is different and they actually serve amazing food!! So, we changed plans and start searching for a good place to feed our bellies. Looking up in the Internet wasn't hard to find such a place. In Wild Eggs, they offer the same level of preparation, presentation and service that you can expect from an upscale dining experience. The hostesses was hospitable and the servers were attentive. The food was pleasant for everyone. Just thought it was dirty that you charged us extra for two kids chocolate milks when the kids menu says explicitly that chocolate milk is included. Our waitress said that the pancakes and bacon/egg/cheese sandwich were both not considered meals. The top left of the menu has the price for all "kids meals" and no variant between meals. I am a huge fan of wild eggs but this experience was not great. I got the Wild Mushroom and Roasted Garlic Scramble - it was a weird combination to me and I could barely stomach half of it. My eggs were super fresh but my friends omelet looked almost rubbery or like they used carton eggs- kind of reminded me of eggs you would get from a school cafeteria. The eggs looked fake and unappetizing as well. Needless to say, we both left the majority of our entrees on the table. I have been to other wild eggs locations and had much better service and menu choices. I have even had better looking omelets! Popped in here with a friend around 930am on a Sunday and were seated promptly. The waitress brought over some waters and left the pitcher on the table, which is always nice because then you aren't left waiting for them to come refill waters half way through the meal. We also ordered coffee and they left the whole carafe on the table, again great for self refills! Most of the menu items feature eggs (hence the name!), but they do have a variety of pancakes, waffles and french toast. After talking with the waitress about some of the most popular items, she recommended the Mr. Potatohead casserole so I went with that. It has a hash brown base with sausage, onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, queso and eggs (I got mine scrambled). It had tons of flavor and was the perfect size. I was able to finish whole thing and was just the right level of "full". My friend got the yellow submarine sandwich which comes with scrambled eggs, cheese, ham and bacon on a hoagie. She enjoyed it and was able to take home half of it for later. Overall, the food was good and I enjoyed the bottomless coffee. However, I thought the menu had fewer options compared to other brunch places. Don't know if this will be my "go-to" brunch spot downtown, but definitely glad I tried it! read more

This calls for a fifth star! Between our incredible waitress, Kya, this morning and the fact they offer No Wait reservations on Yelp, Wild Eggs is die for its fifth star. A few of my go-to favorites include the skillet Cinnamon rolls (great as a shared appetizer), bloody Marys they sell the mix and pickles in house, and fresh squeezed orange juice they also offer scrambled egg whites for no additional charge. I've been here a couple times and gotten biscuits and gravy, buttermilk pancakes (lots of pancake!), and chicken and waffles (spicy!). Their bacon is very undercooked to my preference, but it's still bacon so I can't complain much. The specialty coffee drinks like the latte are OK, but don't expect anything like what you'd find at a boutique 3rd wave coffee shop - more like Starbucks quality. Was searching for a different, more original breakfast place downtown and boy did we find it! My only complaint is that I found this gem on my last day in Indy. They have something for everyone on the menu from mild to wild. I had the Mr Potato Head bowl and it might just be the best breakfast bowl I have ever had!! Don't bother coming here if you're in a hurry. In downtown, everyone is in a hurry and if you can't promise to have food ready for take out in a certain time, ya won't make it out here! I never leave bad reviews but because the food took longer than promised, we missed the time we needed to be somewhere that we paid money to be. So for that, I need to leave a bad review.
