We got Thai food to go for NYE and it was amazing. We tried to have the food delivered but our grub hub driver pretty much stole our food and never delivered it. So we had to order again and had to pick it up. It was not the restaurant's fault, so I would suggest calling the restaurant directly to place a to go order! Food was really amazing, I got the tropical fried rice with tofu! read more

It's been a few years since we had enjoyed Wild Thaiger, we were long overdue for a visit. We started with the Dragon Eggs, delicious! my husband had the Mu Yang, he devoured the pork skewers but found the sticky rice a little sweet. I had the Mi Dang, a huge serving, enough for two. It was very flavorful, with lots of pork in with the noodles, sprouts and bok choy. We won't let a few years go by before we return, we'll be back next month, it was great! read more

I have been going to Wild Thaiger anytime I am in Phoenix for several years. I'm from Brooklyn, NY. While I can say I've had great Thai food Wild Thaiger never disappoints. The service is always friendly and efficient. Kneetra* has been my host/server on several occasions and always provides excellent service with a smile. The food is well priced and even more tasty. I've eaten here for many years and everything we've ever had was beyond delicious. Honestly, much of WT's food was better than the food I ate in my 2 1/2 months in non-tourist locales of Thailand. Go figure. Highly recommend. Their PadThai is probably the best I've ever eaten, as is their fluffy rich Coconut Rice, but their menu is filled with a great variety of fantastic selections with generous portions. Highlights include their Panang Curry (a staple), Satay, Bami Mu Daeng, Pad Ped Prik Daeng, Gaeng Sapparod Goong, Dragon Eggs, etc. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything served. Yum. Ok... Seriously delicious! We had great service and the food was just wow! I'm a big fan of Thai food and we loved everything we ordered. The only issue we had was my husband orders Thai hot and his food wasn't nearly spicy enough to be considered Thai hot- but we were able to add more chili to it! Good food! Strictly came here because it was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The Dragon Eggz (crispy) are good, not great. I ordered the Panang with chicken instead of beef and enjoyed the solid flavor which had a kick to it. Not a big fan on spicy food so I had them make it with mild spice. Girl friend ordered the Mu Yang that comes with a refreshing sticky rice and salad that had some spice to it. Not disappointed at all but like some others have indicated prior too my review, I have had better Thai food. read more

Here are some of my favorites: Satay sampler - Chicken, beef, shrimp, served with peanut sauce and cucumber chutney Mango chicken salad - Big serving of grilled chicken, mangos, greens tossed with ginger dressing Tom Yum Gai - Your choice of protein with mushrooms and tomato in a broth of lemongrass and kaffir lime No No Pad Thai - Same concept, no noodle Mu Yang - BBQ pork, best I ever had coconut sticky rice, papaya salad If these don't tempt you to get in the car and start driving your culinary soul is a dark hole of unfeelingness. read more

Wild Thaiger is still ,after all these years, my favorite Thai restaurant. Everything here is delicious, fresh, and made to order at the time you order it. If I could eat every day I would! Located on Central Avenue next to Durant's it's convenient, although the parking can be a little tight when they're busy. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable about the meals and friendly. It is cool inside and beautifully decorated . However, the biggest reason you go here is the delicious food we all came here yesterday for lunch. It was my first dining experience in quite a few months. They social distance the tables and it works quite well. It's still far too hot to sit outside. But, when the weather finally turns a little cooler , then sitting outside on the patio is also very nice. We got three different meals. The yellow curry ,the 24 karat curry and the Pad Thai noodles. Everything was excellent as always ,they have to go boxes for what you can't finish. Just another fantastic dining experience here read more

Oh my goodness. My and my friend came here and it was OUTSTANDING! We had some kind of dumpling, then chicken satay which was so good. The flavors in you mouth... It like a party! Then I had the chicken pad Thai and the flavors were to die for. And then my friend got this soup... chicken, shrimp, veggies and glass noodles. So good. Highly recommended! Oh and their tea... Blackberry, jasmine and green. When it came to the table I thought it was just green tea and I don't like green tea, but to my surprise. Such a great flower of tea! Enjoy! read more

Diners, drive ins and dives listed this place as a MUST try do we did. k so first off let me explain why they didn't receive a 5 star. We came at 8pm on a Fri night and it wasn't too busy for a mom n pop spot. The lighting was HORRIBLE. I understand u want to set the mood outside but if customers tell you more than once that they can't read the menus then something needs to change. They lite a candle but it gave little to no help. We had to use our phones. Another thing we noticed is that the food took SSSOOOO long to come out! Also, by the time the food came out (3 plates at first and then another 10 minutes later) the food was luke warm. It seemed like they had plates ready but waited for the others to come out which made the rest of the food barely warm. Ok on the upside, the presentation of the food was great! We ordered beef pad Thai, tropical chicken fried rice, yellow chicken curry and peanut chicken plate. They were all very good, but the temperature of the food down played it. It all tastes great. We were so Hungry after our softball tourney that we didn't want to send it back since it took so long in the first place. Overall it's pretty good Thai food. Service was good as well. We Had a hard time understanding our waitress but we made it thru. If you're a local come try it. read more

I was on my own for lunch so thought I would check out this place that was by my work and am I glad I did. When I walked in u could hear the pans banging in the kitchen and the fresh food being cooked to order. I sat at the bar and was welcomed by the friendly staff. I ordered the iced tea and was pleased to taste the notes of raspberry and jasmine in the green tea beverage. It was light and refreshing, no extra sweetener needed. I didn't have to wait long to receive my huge plate of the lunch special Chicken Pad Thai. It had cool cabbage and bean sprouts with scallions next to the hot rice noodles and chicken with a savory sauce topped with beats and cilantro. I ordered the medium heat level which had a slight kick, will go for full spicy next time but not the super spicy which is the one level above. It was fab, I will be back! read more

Wild Thaiger is pretty good. A more accurate rating would probably be 3.5 stars though. I went around 5:30 PM on a week day. No wait which was nice. It's right downtown a couple blocks from a light rail stop - great location (pro tip: don't park in the lot on the south side of the building - use the one behind it or you'll be ticketed!). It has a large patio too. I ordered a boba Thai Tea and the veggie tofu pad thai. I thought both were good - not the best Thai food I've ever had but a solid contender. My husband was not crazy about his dish (although it certainly looked cool - I posted a photo). He kept picking out what looked like some sort of vegetable that was really hard and chewy, he described it like chewing on gristle. Not sure what it was but he wasn't a fan. The service leaves something to be desired. It's a sit down restaurant but the customer experience is not the priority (which is fine for a quick meal after work for me). Our servers were effective and prompt nonetheless. I wouldn't say no if a friend wanted to go again. I'd definitely order the tea a second time! read more

Wild Thaiger is good freaking Thai food. I'm so mad that we finally just tried it because we've really been missing out. We loved the patio, it was so nice to be outside!! We started with the satay sampler and the corn fritters, they were outstanding. We flirted with entree options for a while before we committed, I opted for the beef panang curry (my go to Thai dish) and my fiancée got The Fat One dish. I slugged down a big Tsingtao while we enjoyed our apps. We got our entrees and I was really wowed by the presentation of the panang curry. The taste was really good, it had some nice heat to it that was flavorful but didn't singe my taste buds. The Fat One was really good too, pretty much like a Drunken Noodle dish most other places offer. I ordered a Marooned cocktail, which was a little more foofy than I get - the cocktail was fabulous, basically a booze ice cream sundae with coffee. read more

If you're dining in you definitely gotta sit on the patio! Inside is small. I enjoyed the yellow curry dish a lot! Great flavor and good amount of chicken. I will say that I'm very picky when it comes to pad Thai but I decided to give it a shot. It was pretty good. I think it needed a bit more sauce. The portion size was alright... the plate was taken up by a lot of bean sprouts and other greens (as seen in many of the photos). I will definitely be back to try their other dishes though! The Thai Food I tried was unique and different than from other Thai Places I've been too including the sister restaurant The Little Thaiger. We sat on the comfortable covered patio. I tried the crispy spicy Corn Fritters. They were a little sweet, a little spicy and seemed very light in texture almost like eating a rice cake. The cucumber chutney was light and refreshing and went well with the corn fritters. I thought the fritters were very unique and never had anything like them before. I enjoyed the 24K, it was really delicious Thai Pumpkin, Two kinds of eggplant including Thai, fresh green beans in spicy green curry. I added chicken to the dish and it was prepared well. I thought this dish was delicious but would have been much better if they just added a little fresh basil. My husband really enjoyed the Sliced WILD BOAR in HOT red chili sauce. Service was very good. We had two servers that both checked on us several times and also offered refills before we even needed them. Tasty food but I would ask for some fresh basil next time. 3.75 stars read more

First time at Wild Thaiger. Had lunch on a Saturday early afternoon with my wife and daughter. It was 95 degrees but the patio was pleasant. We ordered Thai iced teas, which took a while to arrive. I don't think our waiter thought the patio was pleasant. My wife ordered the GF Pad Thai, our daughter ordered the Tofu Curry and I got Dragon Eggs and Phuket Fantasea. Lunch arrived after 25 minutes, a bit long for lunch. The Pad Thai was good. All the elements were served apart from each other, so you could mix ingredients as you wish - nice touch. The Curry and Fantasea were both good as well. The prices were fairly steep though. My Dragon Eggs (dumplings) were $9 and the Phuket Fantasea was $18. All-in-all, the bill was $60+ plus tip. That's a pricey lunch, even for Thai food. I may try it again, going with less expensive dishes and hope for better service. read more

This is incredible. I have been coming here for two years. The food was ok sometimes. They always messed up the order. I felt always being treated bad and had to wait for my order or food for 30-40 min even when I call ahead. So tonight I waited for 30 min the waitress never came and then I went to her she said she was told the manager said not to serve me and she should be afraid of my kind of people. I'm middle eastern and brownish. I was so hurt the waitress With the blue hair laughed and said the manager can serve anyone they like. The other waitress made a mistake and showed me a note on with my name on it stating not to serve me or my people !! what they don't know is I order for my staff once or twice a week over 200$ but I always have someone else pick it up. NEVER AGAIN VERY HURTFUL RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL IN 2018. Very sad. I will not ever support this establishment and I hope you don't either. Racist people come in all shape and ethnicities. The food was fine but the service was atrocious. We went for an early dinner before a game and only a few tables were occupied. Nonetheless, after asking for a few minutes to look over the menu, our waiter disappeared and never came back. We flagged down another employee who got the waiter. After we got the food, he checked on us once and disappeared. We never saw him again. A young woman brought the check after we flagged down yet another employee and asked. Really, where were all the servers? It was also disappointing to me that the bill was not clear. On one side was 4 * $6.50 for drinks but no drink total anywhere. On the other side was our two entrees, each with a price, and then a grand total. I like to check the bill so I calculated it and it was right, but why not list all the items ordered, then tax, then a total? We were late for our game. read more

Busy at lunch, but this place is awesome. Great selection but could do better on the service and speed during lunch hour. Dragon Eggs for appetizer was good. I had the catfish with a 1 pepper spice level and it was awesome. Sister said it was the best fried rice she's had in a long time. Check it out but go on off hours. read more

Honestly the flavor of the Tom Ka Gai is just REALLY good. I've had a lot of Tom ka at various Thai places and the lemongrass gingery lime leave flavor of this place is just so good. There are whole pieces of lemongrass, ginger, etc that is not edible and you will have to pick out yourself while eating...but that's what makes the broth so flavorful. I deducted a star because I wasn't as impressed with my panang and yellow curry entrees. Still very good though! read more

I'm so mad that I lived in AZ for a year and didn't try this place earlier. I got a takeout lunch with my boyfriend a few days ago and got to try the pad Thai, yellow curry, and beef and broccoli. I actually remember watching diners drive in and dives multiple years ago and seeing this restaurant featured. The yellow curry was absolutely phenomenal and was my favorite! I love the pad Thai and how it wasn't overly peanut-y. I recommend this place for dine in or takeout! Do yourself a favor and go!! read more

We enjoyed our meal here. The atmosphere INSIDE was pleasant and quiet enough to where we could converse. We were also the only people in the place at 5:30 on a Wednesday night. It started filling up a lot by the time we left around 6:30. The heated patio in front looked inviting but the road noise from Central Ave was a bit too loud and distracting. Service was friendly and non-rushed. Prices are average for a place like this. We felt we got our money's worth. I had the Thai Forbidden Fried rice dish with vegetables. It was perfect and even brought some home. Hubby got Pad Thai I think. He enjoyed it also. The place is clean and the service was good, not overly friendly, but enough. I would recommend Wild Thaiger as a mid priced relaxing place to eat with good portions and nice atmosphere. read more

We came for lunch and the menu had a lot to choose from including lunch specials. I went with the mu yang and was not disappointed. While the rice was filling I could have ate more of it, the flavor was excellent and really complimented the papaya salad and pork. My husband ordered the beef oyster sauce and the presentation was nice but it needed more flavor. Our server brought by some hot sauce options. My sisters and mom decided to have a girls day out for Mother's Day Weekend. My sister suggested we go to Wild Thaiger. I always love trying new Thai food so I was excited for this new experience. The service was great. We received water right away when we arrived. Our waitress was attentive and quick to take our order. Food came to the table quickly as well. The food was really good. I've been to many Thai restaurants in the Valley but this place has the best Thai food hands down. Pad Thai, Pad Siew, and Panang curry are to die for. I don't live close to this place so I'm always trying to find a place near me that will match it but I haven't found one yet. After reading reviews and considering our options, we were really looking forward to this experience. When we arrived, we were excited by the variety of flavors and the over-the-top presentation. Unfortunately, once we started looking more closely at the products, we became concerned. The ice cream in the freezer appeared extremely soft and partially melted, and we noticed significant condensation around the cookie dough/batter. It did not give the impression that the products were being properly maintained or stored. The milkshakes certainly LOOK impressive, but once we actually tasted them, the quality was very disappointing. The ice cream did not have the creamy consistency or quality I would expect for the price. It tasted like inexpensive, low-quality ice cream, and the whipped cream was also warm rather than cold and fresh. At that point, it felt like we were paying primarily for the presentation, jar, toppings, and "wow factor" rather than quality ice cream. I also noticed packaged items such as Chips Ahoy cookies, brownies, and sugar cookies being used as toppings, with some of the original store packaging visible. There is nothing inherently wrong with using packaged products, but when the actual ice cream isn't high quality, it becomes difficult to justify the price. The most concerning part of our visit, however, was what happened with an employee. One employee arrived wearing what appeared to be pajamas and had a kitten/cat on her shoulder. She took the cat toward the back and later was behind/near the register preparing drinks while she and another employee were interacting with the cat around the food and snack area. Seeing an animal being handled in an area where food and food-service items were being prepared was extremely concerning. As a customer, I should not have to wonder whether pet hair or dander could be getting near food. For anyone with a cat allergy, this could be especially concerning. Once I saw this, I stopped eating my milkshake altogether. I sincerely hope the owners or management take this review seriously. The staff need proper training, and the food-storage, cleanliness, and food-handling practices should be carefully evaluated. A fun atmosphere and impressive presentation can only go so far. Quality, cleanliness, and proper food handling should always come first. We went there expecting a memorable dessert experience with our kids. Unfortunately, the experience was memorable for all the wrong reasons. My recommendation: save your money and look elsewhere. We spent $81 on this visit.

Our dining experience was a delightful journey through Thai flavors, beginning with the acclaimed Dragon Eggs. These crispy, deep-fried orbs, filled with a savory meat mixture and a subtle hint of fish, arrived sizzling in a pan with a vibrant, flavorful sauce. It's easy to see why this dish was featured on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." I ordered the Mu Yang, another Triple D highlight. The Mu Yang showcased perfectly charred pork skewers alongside a refreshing green papaya salad. The salad's tangy dressing was exceptional, and the accompanying sticky mango rice was flawlessly executed. My guest chose the Yellow Curry with chicken. While advertised as mild, the curry possessed a pleasant medium spice level that perfectly suited my palate. However, it proved a bit too fiery for my guest. The chicken and potatoes within were tender and well-cooked. Despite a bustling atmosphere during the first half of our visit, the service remained attentive and efficient, striking the perfect balance between presence and discretion. A friend saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and told me to try it out. We went tonight as it is 3 blocks for our condo. 530 dinner and the restaurant was empty. Cute patio but too hot and they weren't seating outdoors. Plenty of parking in the back. Interior is a little dark but nicely done with a small made up bar if you need to come alone. Guy Fieri recommends the Dragon Eggz : (dumplings) and we got one order split half fried and half steamed. The sauce is phenomenal. Loved the skillet plating and extra jalapeños. I am a sucker for Papaya Salad if done properly: The flavor was on point and they didn't put ground peanuts on theirs which is a plus for me. Definitely forgot to ask for Thai hot as there was no heat at all. Maybe they underestimated me cause my hubby is white. Beef panang curry: very tender beef like other reviews state. Flavor of the curry was very different than the norm. Much lighter in texture too and didn't have vegetables. Pad Thai with chicken: hubby said it was decent but nothing to write home about. I very much dislike coconut but how could I not try the famous coconut ice cream? We ordered the fried banana with coconut ice cream and they battered the banana in shaved coconut too. More for hubby! The ice cream flavor and texture was good. Server was excellent and I loved her accent. The entire restaurant was full by the time we left and people were waiting outside. Will be back to try the hot pot. Good, but not anywhere near the top for Thai food. read more

My wife and I went to have dinner here for the first time. We arrived around 6:15. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait. As we waited we noticed several tables open. I asked about this and I was told they were preparing tables for a large group and once they were done they would assess the seating availability. The open seats were booths and a small table for 2 on the patio. A large group would not use any of these open tables. We Waite some more and when I went to see how much longer it would be I was told about 10 minutes. I reminded the hostess of the original 20 minute wait she originally stated that we were already beyond, and once again pointed out the several booths and tables that were open. She then tells me they only have 3 servers and that is why they're not seating all tables. If the hostess had been honest with me from the beginning I could have made the decision to wait or not. Instead my time was wasted. I could see the owner busy cooking in the kitchen. I would suggest she spend a little more time on the front. We wound up leaving and ate at a very nice place called Sushi Station. It wasn't Thai, but it's a very nice place, and the Sushi is really good. You should check it out. As for Wild Thai, I may give it a second chance, but the first impression has been made. I usually have my Thai fix at a wonderful little place called Sala Thai. Great food, friendly owners and staff. The complete opposite from what I experienced at Wild Thaiger. read more

I would give the restaurant a 4/5 rating. The wait time was minimal, and our food arrived promptly. I would rate the wait at 4.5/5 and the arrival time was perfect. We ordered the Tom Yum soup, beef curry, and fat one noodles. The beef curry had a unique nutty flavor that I enjoyed. The fat one noodles were similar to drunken noodles and were cooked to perfection. The Tom Yum soup was good but not the best I have had in town. Overall, I would give the food a 4/5 rating. The service at Wild Thaiger was great. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would rate the service at 4.5/5. In terms of price, I found Wild Thaiger to be fairly priced for the quality of food and service. I would rate the price at 4/5. In summary, I would definitely come back to Wild Thaiger. The beef curry and fat one noodles were standout dishes and the service was excellent. While the Tom Yum soup wasn't my favorite, it was still good. I recently had an unforgettable dining experience at Wild Thaiger! The food was nothing short of amazing. They really hit the mark in every which way and more. All ingredients are always fresh with meals and plates made to order. Family owned and operated, true Thailand tradition is what chef Olashawn Hasadinratana-Weaver brings to each item on the menu. A great mix of food and drinks to enjoy, the atmosphere is also worth mentioning. There are an incredible amount of good things to try such as their signature Coconut Asian Pork and home-made Dumplings. The food was good, as expected, but the service was unacceptable. My son has a severe seafood allergy, which we clearly communicated multiple times to the server. Despite this, his dish arrived with a bowl of fish sauce placed directly against the rice. When I pointed this out, the server simply removed the bowl and said it "should be okay," showing a complete lack of understanding of food allergies and cross-contamination. This is not a minor oversight--it is a serious health and safety issue. The response was careless and disappointing, and it completely overshadowed the quality of the food. read more

Excellent Thai food! Consider sitting out on the patio; there are nice tables and heaters for the winter. I am usually pretty bored with the spring rolls I order at other restaurants, but these were really good. They offer some unusual menu choices as well such as corn fritters. It's basically deep fried corn which sounds awful but tastes heavenly. They are good about suiting the spice level to your preferences. The staff is friendly and can offer good suggestions. Delicious! We walked in Friday night at 5:45 and there were only a few people dining but within 20-30 minutes it started filling up. Better to be lucky than good with the timing. Started with the DDD recommended Dragon Eggs and they did not disappoint. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai & the Mi Dang. Large portions, flavorful and filling. Since we live in California, we won't be regular customers but we will likely come back whenever we are here in Scottsdale. Try it, you will like it. read more

My office is right around the corner and I just happened to try this place about 4 years ago and i can't stop coming back at least once a month. The flavors are unique to any Thai food I have had and the dishes are very creative. Unfortunately because I am not the only one who knows how great this place is it does take awhile to be served sometimes but this is such a minor inconvenience it is hardy worth mentioning. I am from out of town, but there was something about this restaurant that caught my eye, and somehow conveyed that this was going to be a good restaurant. I am very picky about my food, and the food here was very fresh - did not have the usual cloying after-effect that I have felt at other Thai restaurants. Probably the best yellow curry and pad Thai anywhere in the Phoenix area. The coconut ice cream was a nice, lite treat, too. Very friendly staff. When I went in, they seemed to know the regulars - which were quite a few. One downside, seemed a little pricier than most other Thai restaurants, but worth it. Definitely going back. read more

I've been there several times and have always received nice meals and friendly service. Recently, I've noticed that the food has been subpar--I've seen them reheating it in microwaves--and the personnel has been hurried and hostile. They hurry you in and out like livestock. Have been coming here for a few years and it is always a treat. The appetizer menu is fantastic and I highly recommend the Thai boar, but it is spiced pretty hot so beware if you struggle with peppers hotter than jalapeño. They have complimentary parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. There aren't a ton of spots, but there's street parking close by too. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
