Ordered quite a feast for brunch delivery. FAVs- Mortadella Scallion Pancake - we ordered 4 different scallion pancake and this one stand out the most, tasty and balanced. San Bei Ji Chop'd Cheese Scallion Pancake - the only different approach one that's kinda interesting. Fries was meh. Savoy Soy Milk - love! SORTA LIKE- Fan Tuan - pretty good but Ho Foods' flavor is more on point. Xia (Shrimp) Bun - pretty good. Jiucai Scallion Pancake - indifferent. Pinut Cookie - YUM DISLIKE - Pastrami Beef Tongue Scallion Pancake - This was the worst dish, the pastrami beef tongue was dry and just not good.

Came on a weekday and there was no line. I tried: + Egg and cheese scallion pancake + Fan Tuan with tofu + Pine nut sun cookie + b&w nian gao Egg and cheese scallion pancake was my favorite, along with the pine nut cookie. Nian gao was also a standout. I'll be back to try the ice cream and more treats - looks like they're open in the evenings so would make a good after-dinner stop.

The food actually tasted great! The Bacon Egg and Cheese Scallion Pancake was seared on the outside to have the perfect, satisfying crunch while the cheese on the inside was super gooey and creamy to make the quintessential breakfast "sandwich" bite as good as it gets. But its not a scallion pancake, not even remotely close and I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend who asked me for a scallion pancake place. I also think $16 or $17 for this is quite insane, even for Manhattan. If they charged $8 for this it would be a steal, $13 would be reasonable, but $17 is unreasonably sky-high for what is provided. The price instills the expectation that this is a sort of artisanal fine dining breakfast place that uses ultra high quality ingredients but the product is a very solid breakfast "burrito" in actuality.

Taiwanese fusion bakery/restaurant. Much longer line and more crowded than at the Brooklyn location, although there's lots of outdoor seating. While I won't repeat my review, I'll generally say that the scallion pancakes, mochi donut, and snow peas are the things to get here. Unlike the Brooklyn location, they had all the bakery items available, so we were able to try the red date cake and peanut butter double baked bao this time. Both lived up to the hype and were my favorites, so I'd recommend both (as well as the previous menu selection above). Not really a complaint, but I do find it a little odd that at neither location did I see a single Asian employee either serving or cooking, given they're supposedly Taiwanese.

Tried Win Son Bakery and it didn't quite live up to the hype. The BEC scallion pancake was average and overpriced and the pork fan tuan was just okay (uses pork floss, not real pork). The rou bao felt like a smashed XLB. The millet mochi donut was the highlight -perfectly chewy. Overall, I'd still pick Chinatown or even a deli over this. Not sure I'd go back.

The food is just as good as the original location in Williamsburg. I've been to both locations now many times and I prefer how much more laid back and spacious the East Village spot is. Maybe I've gotten lucky but during mid-morning on most days there's plenty of seating and food comes out super fast. I'm always getting the pork floss fan tuan with egg and cruller. It is the perfect breakfast, so delicious, filling and affordable. The scallion pancake sandwiches are obviously incredible but the fan tuan is the real star imo. I'm always so excited to see the pastry case here, they change things up all the time. It's always worth getting one of the sweets, but I will always recommend the millet mochi donut. When it comes out warm, the texture is addictive and it's a perfect balance of sweet and salty.

Win Son Bakery is such an absolute gem - I already want to go back and try everything else on the menu. I ordered the iced black sesame latte and it was incredible - smooth, perfectly balanced, lightly sweet, and so unique. It's one of those drinks you keep thinking about after you leave. I also got the scallion pancake with egg and cheese and it completely lived up to the hype. Perfect texture - crispy and golden on the outside, soft and slightly chewy inside - and the sauce it comes with is perfect with it. Everything was so thoughtfully made. The space is also beautiful, filled with plants that make it feel warm, cozy, and inviting. I really loved that they have outdoor seating too - it's such a nice option. Service was excellent. The gentleman at the counter was super friendly and gave really great recommendations for both food and drinks, which made the experience even better. No lines on a Friday morning at 10am which was a bonus. Overall, everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was amazing. Highly recommend!

First time here and I absolutely loved it. I got their famous bacon egg and cheese scallion pancake and it was phenomenal. I also order the pork fan tuan which was so unique. Tempted to buy a shirt or bandana next time I'm here...

Food is delicious . Good mixes of ingredients. Service - ok. Self service cafe-like. Order paid at register and they'll bring to the table. Ambiance - simple modern clean. I love their friend chicken with Cajun fries- delicious Their scoop ice cream is a "packed 10oz cup" size -- good for sharing. I have yet to try the pancakes - Asian twist. Will try next time.

My friend and I came here during dinner hours to try their BEC Scallian Pancake. Inside was super moody with dim lights and a candle on every table. It is also spacious with free seating and decorative plants. We got in line to order at the front, and got a Jasmine tea and BEC Scallion Pancake. The jasmine tea tasted weird. It did not taste like typically floral tea, but we couldn't drink it after a sip. The BEC Scallion pancake is exactly what you order. It's bacon, egg, and cheese on a scallion pancake. The bacon was a bit too crispy for me, but it was not a bad bite. I am glad I got to try!

Soo yummy. My favorites were the pork fan tuan, mochi donut, and xian bing (which had a delicious broth inside). But honestly everything was amazing--the scallion egg and cheese pancake and the bolo bao. Pretty long lines at 11 on a Saturday, and then there's an additional line to get a table. Line seemed to get longer by the time we left too.

Was so glad that this location opened in Manhattan. The cleanly decorated quick service spot has lots to offer. Since the last time I had tried a pop up with mostly pastries, I opted to try the BEC scallion pancake and a matcha (almond milk). The matcha was very smooth. The BEC SP is a very large portion. I prefer the pastries and fan tuan (several other diners had those too) over the scallion pancake. The table next to me had the chicken bian dang which looked delicious.

Stallion, pancake, bacon, egg Egg + Cheese Scallion Pancake

This bakery was a warm refuge on a cold day. We waited about 20 minutes in a long line, but once you get to the register, they take care of you from start to finish, from seating you to bringing you your food, which is much appreciated when you're in quite crimped quarters, and you don't want to get up and down often. The bakery has some delightful breakfast fusion foods, such as a traditional scallion pancake use as a wrap for a bacon, egg and cheese! My favorite was the fan Tuan, which packed a punch of both flavor and texture. It was a little crunchy on the inside that thing, and I expected, but the crunch really added to the entire tasting experience. I felt that the stallion can take bacon egg cheese had a lot of texture and was gorgeous, but not as flavorful. They also have solid coffee, drinks! I will absolutely be coming back because everything was unique and delicious, and I would love to try more of the menu

It's been weeks and I'm still thinking about the broth. It had levels of complexity and paired up with fresh noodles and tender beef that melted in your mouth, yeah, there's a reason I'm still thinking about it! I went with a friend who had never had Taiwanese food and I'm a bit sad that 886 was the first experience for her because other places after this are going to be a let down. We split the beef noodle soup, Taiwanese fried chicken and scallion pancake beef wrap. The chicken was also perfection served with an in house honey chili crisp sauce. The scallion pancake beef wrap was good but in a purist who likes scallion pancake on its own. Even though it's easy village and not Chinatown, visit this place, it is worth the visit!!! The food here was overall tasty…read morewith the best thing being definitely the spicy beef & tendon noodle soup along with the braised beef with noodles which makes sense as it's a Taiwanese beef noodle spot. The rest of the dishes were still pretty tasty with a notable unique version of dan dan noodles. I didn't have a drink and I don't think anyone else did. Service was fine and the place is very casual. On a side note, I got a Tea Egg and I wouldn't really recommend it much as it lacked the flavor of most tea eggs. The first thing that arrived was one of the appetizers the Assorted Cold Dish with jade cucumber, black fungus in vinegar sauce, and spiced edamame. The portion was fine and they had a mixture of crunch and textures. It would be good to share though my preference of the mixtures was the Assorted Luwei with tofu, kelp knots, and boiled eggs. Referring to dishes braised in soy sauce, I particularly liked the kelp due to it's crunchy yet soft texture with the strips of tofu also being very tasty while the eggs as per the tea egg prior were alright. We also got as an appetizer the Spicy Braised Pig's Ear. A bunch of the other people at the table didn't really like this but I liked the texture mostly because I'm a fan of tendon and cartilage and this has that crunchy but soft texture almost like a crunchy jello. This spice was on the lighter end but it still had a little bit of heat. There was also the Seasonal Greens which were pretty tasty though not as necessary as most of the greens were included in the other dishes such as the pork chops and soups. There was also the Popcorn Chicken which had the usual white pepper and slight sweetness I associate with this version and it was solid and warm (though I wouldn't recommend it to go.) Overall, the appetizers were good but they aren't the star of this place. Best of the main dishes was as noted the Spicy Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup. Both the beef and the tendon in there were super tender. The noodles had the QQ texture I'd expect from a good Taiwanese spot. I have had richer beef noodle soups before but it was still well flavored and the bit of spice in there was a nice extra kick. A bit spicier by comparison was the Dan Dan Noodles which I was a bit surprised to see on the menu. They were prepared differently from the dan dan mein from other spots; more like a soupier noodle. By comparison to the beef/tendon noodle soup, it was more Sichuan peppercorn and spicier by comparison. Both were tasty with a slight preference to the former due to the different types of beef and I liked tasting the soup a bit better. We also got the Braised Beef With Noodles which is offered over rice or with noodles. Due to the great noodle texture, we got it over noodles of course. The beef again was tasty though I preferred it as a noodle soup. It was still good and I would order it on a different day. Our only non noodle dish was the Fried Pork Chops With Rice which was fine. The pork chops have the usual white pepper and light sweetness you find in this style though it was a bit chewy. Outside of the pork and rice, there was also some cucumbers and it came with half a boiled egg. This was as expected alright but I would recommend getting noodles as it's definitely their specialty.
