It was Sunday afternoon, and I had some time to kill before my lunch plans and really needed a pedicure. I typically don't like going anywhere because decent service is so hard to find. One of my spots was closed on Sundays (which I didn't know) I was at Santana row and since kitchen nail bar had no openings, I walked over to Winchester nails. I was able to get seated right away which was really nice since I was on a time crunch. I was seated in a massage chair (yay!) and had a nice relaxing pedicure. I'm usually really nervous when they cut my cuticles out of fear of being cut but didn't have that problem here. Very happy I was able to get in and out without any worries. Had to leave a review for my great experience. The place DID feel clean when walking in :)

Ms. Tu Tran and the girls do such a detailed job with your nails. I highly recommend for an affordable and friendly place! They color match very well to a reference photo as well.

Matched what I wanted, went on a weekday so there was only me. I asked and she delivered. The inside was spacious but you should wear a mask since you might inside all the plastic in the hair from the nail shaping. Person who did my nails was very detailed and I got the feeling that she was so into her job she forgot I exist sometimes cuz she only saw my hand but I liked that cuz I was tired and just wanted the job done. I had an inspiration pic but only wanted to change the bow color to matcha my birthday outfit which was red. The bow was done really well, I was super surprised. Idk how parking would go but I didn't see much parking but the place is worth visiting.

Greeted by Tu & was sat down right away as a walk-in for a last minute session. Tu was very accommodating & listened to what I wanted. Not only did she shape my nails the way I like, she asked many questions to ensure I was happy in the end. I requested my usual French tip - we did a nude powder for natural look with a narrow arch white French tip. Personally, my favorite French I had all year. Livy did my Peppermint manicure & also did a French on my toes. The service was overall welcoming & warm. Thank you to the Winchester staff for a nice experience.

I was recommended here from a friend that has been coming for months. I originally went in to get a full acrylic set. After talking with Tu, she recommended I try Gel X. She broke down the price difference for me and took the time to explain the difference between the two. Tu took her time to soak and drill my old acrylics off (I've never had a tech not just rip them off with a tip). Great service and she was constantly asking if everything was okay. When I pointed something out, she was happy to fix it. I will definitely be coming to see Tu from now on! Best part about this review? It is genuine. I wanted to write this review, I wasn't requested to write it like I have been at so many other places!

Came here for a fil. Tu helped me. I can back since the price was okay and affordable. I asked for a color change and Tu said she wasn't able to do a color change that it needed to be the same color, so I asked for them to be taken off and she insisted on just repairing my one nail that broke and doing a fill on all of them but when I asked for a color change she said she was not able to do it. I'm not sure why. She insisted on it being the same color as before ultimately I just got them taken off. It just felt like she wanted to charge more. Also area is in a sketchy area right next to AA center recommend go in the day time. I won't be coming back here.

I've been coming to Winchester Nails for almost 3 years and I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else! Tu is very patient with me when I can't get my hand to relax. She also knows that I am simple and like to keep my gel acrylics short and natural looking. She doesn't pressure me to have long nails like some other salons I've been to in the past. Tu's consideration and patience is what keeps me coming back! Photos are my nails from today as well as the nails I got 3.5 weeks ago. My acrylics always last a solid 3 weeks before the first one starts to lift. read more

So random that I chose this place but so happy that I did! Wanted to support a small business and was able to look up this spot at a red light on my way to another spot. Had good reviews so I busted a u-turn and parked. Went in without an appt for a new acrylic set, had a 10 mins wait that flew by pretty quickly. I showed two diff kind of styles I was debating and Tu, the nail technician, had helped me instantly saying to go with a rounded tip to help elongate my hand. Literally told her I had a child I'm going on vacation with soon and she shaped them down to the perfect length where I get that sass but without compromising functionality! This is so rare for me!!! My nails are always cut too short and I have chubby kids hand still or they're too long and I can't do anything. Fast forward, she chose the color by default with powder. She recommended, I trusted and voila, short 30 mins later, my fingers are beautiful. She also cut down my cuticles which for some reason most places don't when doing gel or acrylic. My nails are so simple but she nailed it down to exactly what I wanted! Don't let the small and random placement of the shop deter you! Also, the price is so good! $40 for a full set, there's not prices like that in the Bay no more. Skip on those overly decorated fancy smancy nail salon and support a small business! Even my mom who's a retired nail tech complimented and said whoever did my nails did such a good job! Tu, you are so sweet and so good at your craft! Usually LOVE coming here but I'm usually booked with the owner and unfortunately she was on vacation and it definitely showed. I called to book 2 pedicures for 630. I got there and told them I had an appointment and they looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about, and just stared at me and my daughter and eventually asked us to just take a seat. I ordered the peppermint pedicure, which I usually always do and while filing my big toe. She cut me about three times, and I kept telling her. It was hurting, especially when she sprayed alcohol on. It was literally in the chair for two hours before finally getting into the last step, which is the hot stone massage with the hot wax again, which is something I always get. She put the wax on me and I waited about a couple seconds before i literally had to pull the bag off my foot because it burned so bad. And trust me this is usually my fav step in the pedicure. she looked at me and said sorry that she had forgot to turn it off. It's been 30 minutes and my foot is still burning. Didn't end up doing my 12 min that's included or obviously the hot wax or hot rocks was so frustrated At that point that I wanted to leave, and the ladies were just so rude. They also messed up two other peoples toes while I was there in the two hour times. definitely ruined my experience there, and I will not be returning. read more

I went in and got a pedi and a gel overlay. I think the owner did my nails. She charged me $45 for a a overlay no tips. And she cut my skin while using a machine to file my cuticles. The girl doing my pedi was nice but she also cut my cuticle. I don't think they know what they are doing. And they are pricy for simple services. read more

This is seriously one of the best places to come and get pampered! Every time I come I am more convinced to make the commute just to get my weekly pedicure, the establishment is extremely clean, professional and so precise with their work. They make sure to get everything out, have the best color selections and the women their literally have magical hands. On top of all of that, they have calm music playing at all times, and as soon as you seat, turn on the massage chair for you without having to ask. Today as winter approaches I completely forgot my coat & without saying anything, the owner came and gave me a blanket! I cannot recommend this place enough, I am hooked! 100/10 stars for me! read more

The only place me and my daughter will go too from the warming customer service to the exceptional quality of work the whole experience is a 10/10. We always have to book a last minute late in the evening appointment and they always make room for us and never make us feel rushed. I have stopped going to several places due to the way the treat and rush my daughters mani and pedi due to her age. But Winchester Nails never fails to make her feel anything less than a princess read more

Winchester Nail is modern, clean nail shop with friendly staff on Winchester Blvd next to the gas salon. Reasonable pricing for services and the owner Tu cares strongly about attention to detail and quality for all the customers. If something is wrong, she will make it right to ensure high quality customer satisfaction. I come every two weeks for my nails, and every 3 weeks for pedicure. Service: gel pedicure I really wanted to give this a higher rating. I think they really try and that's why I didn't give less than three stars. When I put my feet in the water it was scalding. I quickly pulled my feet out. Because my specialist had walked away, the specialist next to me noticed the steam rolling off and quickly turned the water down. She also said something to the woman who was working with me. Then when she saw my toenails she kept commenting on how short they were. I have a short nail bed and they were cut to size. Then she started talking to the woman next to her and having her look. I tried to hold myself accountable that she could have been asking for help but it made me uncomfortable because it felt with ill intent. Then she cut the side of my toenail bed and instead of fully cutting, she cut and then pulled it back toward me, ripping it down. It was so painful. On top of the above, the woman next to me talked on her cell phone the entire time. Would have been nice if they would have had a no talking on phone sign up so all could enjoy relaxation. She gave me two more minutes on to the massage but it wasn't my favorite experience. The place also was not busy when I was there so it wasn't a bad experience born from busyness. read more

4 stars for the customer service! They are a bit confusing, even when you're speaking Vietnamese. We made reservations for 6 a week before. Lady, I guess Tu, the owner, apparently didn't make much comment of the details of the reservation to my friend. When we arrived, we found out they accidentally sat a group of 3, thinking it was us. ..... Okay... So we ended up having to wait a lot longer than our appointment time. They seemed to be very busy with regulars. The whole thing was unorganized and one of my cuticle was cut a bit with the cuticle cutter. Tu worked on my for my nails and I forgot who worked on me for my pedicure. We were there over 2 hours. They do a decent job here and overall our service was not bad, except for the mixed-up in the beginning and the long wait. But seems like waiting is a common thing here. read more

Tu did an absolutely perfect job on my gel acrylic nails! I'm usually super picky so I'm so impressed that she did such an amazing job. she's also the sweetest and most accommodating lady! My also did an excellent job on my gel pedicure. You can tell they take their time to provide the best service and are very detail oriented. Not to mention the prices are so affordable! My nails have never looked better! I showed Tu a photo of what I wanted and she decided what I needed to achieve that look was acrylic nail tips with gel on top. She worked fast but accurately. Every nail is symmetrical and even in length. I don't live close but will definitely return in the future. read more

The quality of you mani/pedi seems to be inconsistent. And service varies from person not sure what happened this time the place wasn't busy but the lady was running around saying she would have to leave early then, another customer walked in saying she needed her brows done. Ergo the woman doing my nails rushed to finish so she could cram eyebrows in. Needless, to say my nails ended up being uneven, I had to shape them when I arrived home. I will no longer travel from Pleasanton wasting time and money for crappy service. I'll just ask my new coworkers for their recommendations. If you're a professional with a vehicle I would recommend a nicer more professional place for services. Oh and btw the tools they use aren't sanitary they are reused from person to person, no soaking in barbicide autoclaving or anything! Jeesh!!! read more

I came here to get my nails done about a month ago and had a fairly pleasant experience. They asked me to call ahead and make an appointment but unfortunately I was running late. I can't remember the name of the lady who did my nails but they were extremely sweet and understanding of me running late and kept themselves available to help me out. I got an dip manicure and a gel pedicure. The dip nails were a little thicker than I would have liked but the color was so nice, I didn't mind. My nails grow out fast so I've since gotten a refill at another place that made them much thinner but my pedicure is still intact! I tried to do a drop in but they're quite busy in the weekends and request that you call ahead. Also keep in mind this place is CASH ONLY! They have an ATM but make sure you bring enough if you don't want to withdraw from the ATM. read more

Don't come here with reference photos because they will completely ignore them. Came here with my mom. She got a full set and pedicure. I got a full set. To start we spent a full 3 hours in here for everything. We kept having to ask for the shape to be fixed. Every time you ask they either ignore it and say "later" or do the complete opposite of what you asked for. I asked for a clouds design, easy enough right? Wrong. Nobody could do it and they got upset with me for not liking what they did, which wasn't even close to what I asked for. As for my mom they kept calling her idea "ugly" and did their own interpretation of french tips. They are rude, not friendly, and over charged us. read more

The finished look is OK, but there was too much filing done on the surface of my nails which I do not like as it shortens the longevity of nails and makes them unbearable when the Gel polish is taken off. I was also asked over and over again if I like the color that I chose on my nails. I guess a couple of times is OK, but more than that it seems like an effort to get admiration or validation out of you. read more

Lash lift is much lower maintenance as well (only no-no is using a curler, which I have no need to do so at all now xD). The initial couple of days my lashes looked a little more dramatic than I expected, but after a couple weeks they look more natural while still lifted. Hopefully they last a good while, I can definitely see myself making this a routine thing ^-^ I've never had my lashes lifted before so I have no point of comparison, but I think Annie did a great job. The room is right next to the main entrance, and the doorway faces it so you're pretty visible to everyone coming in and out if she keeps the door open. Otherwise am happy to come back for my next session!

They are always very friendly and accommodating for a walk-in appointment. The salon is hygienic and clean. They also have a very nice selection of gel polish colors, especially cateye colors. I recently had an ingrown toenail (my first ever in 33 years) after my latest visit but the owner was quick to help communicate this with the nail tech doing my pedicure so it doesn't happen again. This made me feel very understood and respected as a regular customer here. The owner also tries to remember the regulars at the salon and always offer a warm welcoming, which is very nice of her. They offer a discount for cash payments, but also accept Venmo (even for tips) while credit card has a small charge. I think their prices are very reasonable and definitely cheaper than the last salon I went to before switching to Pedi Nail Lounge. There is a large shared parking lot in front so plenty of parking nearby. I also like that there is a coffee shop (Blvd coffee), food spot (Chispiro's) and Lucky Grocery store right next door that makes the location extremely convenient for me. 5/5 , definitely recommend if you're looking for a new nail salon

I do not think they keep track of appointments and, if they do, I simply cannot imagine how. I have tried texting and the response I get every time is "ok", even if I ask a question in my appointment request. I've tried making an appointment online and the appointment slots are always available and open, which can't be true. While in the salon, I've seen them answer the phone when someone calls to make an appointment, they are always on speakerphone, and I have never seen anyone write anything down after the phone call, they say ok and then just continue to work. Out of the 5 or 6 times I've been here I have only been seen at the time of my appointment once. Once! I am often waiting 30-45 mins and I stay because I have a very tight schedule and make appointments on the only days I can. I'm currently sitting waiting for my 5:00 appointment and it is 5:40 and there are 5 others also waiting, though I don't know what time their appointments are or were. (At 5:06 my manicurist asked me to wait 15 mins and I said fine....but I ended up leaving at 5:45 because she was doing someone's pedicure.) I have always been happy with the services I've received here and their prices are reasonable, which are the reasons for the 2 stars, but I simply will not be back due to their constant lack of respect of "appointment times".

March 2022 I came in for a full set and got my nails done by a nail tech I had never seen before. And she immediately started working on my nails without asking what I wanted. She finally asked, and I showed her a picture I will post below. And I explained that I wanted exactly the same colors and style. She said okay. And proceeded to do my nails. They were supposed to be a rounded French tip. But she botched them so I told her to just do a triangle style. (No idea what the proper term is.) She botched that as well. And the glitter I said I wanted black. And she did blue. I thought maybe I should trust the process, and perhaps she would change it. But nope! She sealed the polish and left as is. I pointed to the glitter and stated that wasn't what I wanted. She said it was "pretty" and smiled. Language barrier made it difficult to get my point across. I was completely dissatisfied. I had thought I found a new nail place. Will think twice before coming back. UPDATE: May 2022 Gave them another shot. Got a similar set done by Tu, she did a good job. I specifically requested her upon my arrival. As she had done a good job my first time. My mom got a set done by another tech. And it chipped the day after. She also wanted the French tip higher. And although she went back and forth with the girl. She didn't seem to understand. My recommendation would be to ask for Tu. If I go back, I will only get my nails done by her. The rest of the techs lack experience and a steady hand. They also seem to want to get the set done as fast as possible, and don't seem to be concerned with whether you are happy with the end result. Unlike Tu. 2 stars only because Tu herself does a great job. read more

Winchester Nails has been doing my nails for the past year and I am never spending my nail money anywhere else! Gel X has been really great for my nails from the price to the application. I love how the gel x glues on to your whole nail bed and not just the tip, which makes them last way longer, plus your nail is not damaged when they come off! Winchester Nails always makes me leave LOVING my nails, and most importantly makes me feel comfortable to tell her what looks good to me and what doesn't! I also felt extremely safe during this worried time because they takes only one appointment inside and I always wash my hands as soon as I get inside. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants to dazzle up their nail routine, and have a safe and healthy nail experience. With a busy salon, they accommodated us promptly and warmly. My daughters and I opted for various nail services--two new full sets featuring cat-eye, and other designs, along with regular gel nail manicure. The staff engaged with my kids, making the experience enjoyable for them. Their attentiveness to my girls' preferences impressed me; they delivered exactly what was requested. This place is a hidden gem! I was looking for a closer nail spot and this is right off the freeway so I couldn't resist. I always check yelp to check out reviews to places. Mind you, I don't write reviews that much, but I support small businesses and good kind hearted people. Went here for pedicures for my boyfriend and I. He loved his and had a positive experience. I wished I could say the same. The lady who worked on my pedicures unfortunately cut my toe pretty bad. It was bleeding and she didn't even notice until I pointed it out. This is usually understandable for me because it happens, but the cut was so deep and hurt for two days after this. She was very apologetic and kind, so I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe come back sometime. read more
