After seeing all of the beautiful pictures of nails that people have posted on here I decided to give this place a try. I got SNS/dip and one of the girls put it on really thick. Tu did my marble design which I love, but I wish the dip wasn't as thick. It makes my nails look kinda chunky. Everyone here is super nice and the salon itself is nice on the inside. There is a parking lot behind the salon where you can park if there isn't anything available on the street in front. Update: When I went to have my nails redone at a different nail salon, it took 45 mins of soaking them in acetone and grinding them down to get all of the SNS off read more

My friend took me here since she had amazing service and I hate to write one star reviews but don't come here for a pedicure :( Yeah it's only $22 but depending on who you get (I ended up getting someone who wasn't very good) she did not treat me gently and did my nails in a rush. She knicked my toe and it was hurting for a few hours after I got it done. She also did my friends toes and made her put on her shoe, and she ended up getting paint on her new Birkenstock's! Yeah she re-did it but didn't seem to happy about it :( Go for the prices but I don't recommend a pedicure here! read more

I'm not from the area and needed my nails done in a pinch. I called and asked if they had availability and they did. I got these clear pink long acrylics and it was $45 which is pretty standard. I really appreciated their attention to detail, they even filed under my nail which I've never had before. It was really quiet and they were nice. Great spot! read more

It was my first time to get my nails done with TU. I showed her my picture inspiration and she even did a better job. She did it so fast and she did a solid job. I was so amazed every step of the way. She told me to relax. I trusted her with the process and I am so grateful I had her. Request for TU and you definitely will not regret going here. Their prices are also reasonable:) I came out of it feeling refreshed and so beautiful Will definitely go again and book with TU! read more

The quality of mani pedis Winchester Nails has is impeccable and their service is fast. My gel mani and regular pedicure lasted 3ish weeks, and the only reason I came back to get my nails done was b/c they were growing out. I like that they take appointments, and it isn't too busy if you come before 5pm. There's also a lot in the back to park in. This isn't the place to come to if you want glitz and glam, but for a good price and good quality, this is the nail shop for you! My one star dock is for their constant up sell with the pedicures and the credit/debit card machine mysteriously being broken that last two times I came in. Every time I asked for a basic pedicure they kept pushing me to get the deluxe. Then after that, they'll try to upsell you on gel instead of regular nail polish and so forth. As for the card machine, I had two visits that were 3 and half weeks apart and both times there was no sign up that said their card machine was broken. They insisted I pay in cash or via VenMo. This is something that should probably be advertised if a client is cashless or wanting to use Apple Pay. read more

Tu and the rest of the nail techs are always so wonderful! I don't go anywhere else because they get me right every time! When I was in there recently, there was a woman slandering and talking down to the woman doing her nails, and another woman angry about the price for a full set manicure. The way Tu and the team responded to both these classless people was so respectful and professional. Would definitely recommend, the nicest ladies with the best nail art! read more

I've been coming to Winchester Nails for almost 3 years and I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else! Tu is very patient with me when I can't get my hand to relax. She also knows that I am simple and like to keep my gel acrylics short and natural looking. She doesn't pressure me to have long nails like some other salons I've been to in the past. Tu's consideration and patience is what keeps me coming back! Photos are my nails from today as well as the nails I got 3.5 weeks ago. Honestly I have no words! I came in with really ugly nails from peeling off previous gel polish. I originally was just going to get gel polish but saw a picture on their Yelp page with ombré nails and decided to just try it out. It's my first time getting ombré nails and Tu did such an amazing job! It turned out looking even better than the picture I showed her. I'm in love. She checked in with me about the color, shape, and length the whole time to make sure I really like the results. Highly recommend! read more

So random that I chose this place but so happy that I did! Wanted to support a small business and was able to look up this spot at a red light on my way to another spot. Had good reviews so I busted a u-turn and parked. Went in without an appt for a new acrylic set, had a 10 mins wait that flew by pretty quickly. I showed two diff kind of styles I was debating and Tu, the nail technician, had helped me instantly saying to go with a rounded tip to help elongate my hand. Literally told her I had a child I'm going on vacation with soon and she shaped them down to the perfect length where I get that sass but without compromising functionality! This is so rare for me!!! My nails are always cut too short and I have chubby kids hand still or they're too long and I can't do anything. Fast forward, she chose the color by default with powder. She recommended, I trusted and voila, short 30 mins later, my fingers are beautiful. She also cut down my cuticles which for some reason most places don't when doing gel or acrylic. My nails are so simple but she nailed it down to exactly what I wanted! Don't let the small and random placement of the shop deter you! Also, the price is so good! $40 for a full set, there's not prices like that in the Bay no more. Skip on those overly decorated fancy smancy nail salon and support a small business! Even my mom who's a retired nail tech complimented and said whoever did my nails did such a good job! Tu, you are so sweet and so good at your craft! I went in and got a pedi and a gel overlay. I think the owner did my nails. She charged me $45 for a a overlay no tips. And she cut my skin while using a machine to file my cuticles. The girl doing my pedi was nice but she also cut my cuticle. I don't think they know what they are doing. And they are pricy for simple services. read more

This is seriously one of the best places to come and get pampered! Every time I come I am more convinced to make the commute just to get my weekly pedicure, the establishment is extremely clean, professional and so precise with their work. They make sure to get everything out, have the best color selections and the women their literally have magical hands. On top of all of that, they have calm music playing at all times, and as soon as you seat, turn on the massage chair for you without having to ask. Today as winter approaches I completely forgot my coat & without saying anything, the owner came and gave me a blanket! I cannot recommend this place enough, I am hooked! 100/10 stars for me! read more

The only place me and my daughter will go too from the warming customer service to the exceptional quality of work the whole experience is a 10/10. We always have to book a last minute late in the evening appointment and they always make room for us and never make us feel rushed. I have stopped going to several places due to the way the treat and rush my daughters mani and pedi due to her age. Got acrylics done here for the first time. I was seated quickly despite the shop being very busy and the design was exactly what I had asked for. However, while i was getting filed with the e-filer, the nail tech (in a rush from how busy it was) had cut two of my cuticles and both had started bleeding. I thought this was fine as I had only gotten my nails done a few times, but the friend I came with said the cuts were bad. Writing this review weeks later, I took my nails off as some had lifted and I found my nails underneath with rings of fire and more damage than any other nail salon I've been to. The owner of the store was very sweet about the situation but unfortunately I don't think I would come again. read more

Tu did an absolutely perfect job on my gel acrylic nails! I'm usually super picky so I'm so impressed that she did such an amazing job. she's also the sweetest and most accommodating lady! Winchester Nail is modern, clean nail shop with friendly staff on Winchester Blvd next to the gas salon. Reasonable pricing for services and the owner Tu cares strongly about attention to detail and quality for all the customers. If something is wrong, she will make it right to ensure high quality customer satisfaction. I come every two weeks for my nails, and every 3 weeks for pedicure. I appreciate these hard working ladies and can't thank them enough for my nail therapy!! read more

4 stars for the customer service! They are a bit confusing, even when you're speaking Vietnamese. We made reservations for 6 a week before. Lady, I guess Tu, the owner, apparently didn't make much comment of the details of the reservation to my friend. When we arrived, we found out they accidentally sat a group of 3, thinking it was us. ..... Okay... So we ended up having to wait a lot longer than our appointment time. They seemed to be very busy with regulars. The whole thing was unorganized and one of my cuticle was cut a bit with the cuticle cutter. Tu worked on my for my nails and I forgot who worked on me for my pedicure. We were there over 2 hours. They do a decent job here and overall our service was not bad, except for the mixed-up in the beginning and the long wait. But seems like waiting is a common thing here. read more

Service: gel pedicure I really wanted to give this a higher rating. I think they really try and that's why I didn't give less than three stars. When I put my feet in the water it was scalding. I quickly pulled my feet out. Because my specialist had walked away, the specialist next to me noticed the steam rolling off and quickly turned the water down. She also said something to the woman who was working with me. Then when she saw my toenails she kept commenting on how short they were. I have a short nail bed and they were cut to size. Then she started talking to the woman next to her and having her look. I tried to hold myself accountable that she could have been asking for help but it made me uncomfortable because it felt with ill intent. Then she cut the side of my toenail bed and instead of fully cutting, she cut and then pulled it back toward me, ripping it down. It was so painful. On top of the above, the woman next to me talked on her cell phone the entire time. Would have been nice if they would have had a no talking on phone sign up so all could enjoy relaxation. She gave me two more minutes on to the massage but it wasn't my favorite experience. The place also was not busy when I was there so it wasn't a bad experience born from busyness. read more

Usually LOVE coming here but I'm usually booked with the owner and unfortunately she was on vacation and it definitely showed. I called to book 2 pedicures for 630. I got there and told them I had an appointment and they looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about, and just stared at me and my daughter and eventually asked us to just take a seat. I ordered the peppermint pedicure, which I usually always do and while filing my big toe. She cut me about three times, and I kept telling her. It was hurting, especially when she sprayed alcohol on. It was literally in the chair for two hours before finally getting into the last step, which is the hot stone massage with the hot wax again, which is something I always get. She put the wax on me and I waited about a couple seconds before i literally had to pull the bag off my foot because it burned so bad. And trust me this is usually my fav step in the pedicure. she looked at me and said sorry that she had forgot to turn it off. It's been 30 minutes and my foot is still burning. Didn't end up doing my 12 min that's included or obviously the hot wax or hot rocks was so frustrated At that point that I wanted to leave, and the ladies were just so rude. They also messed up two other peoples toes while I was there in the two hour times. definitely ruined my experience there, and I will not be returning. read more

I came here to get my nails done about a month ago and had a fairly pleasant experience. They asked me to call ahead and make an appointment but unfortunately I was running late. I can't remember the name of the lady who did my nails but they were extremely sweet and understanding of me running late and kept themselves available to help me out. I got an dip manicure and a gel pedicure. The dip nails were a little thicker than I would have liked but the color was so nice, I didn't mind. My nails grow out fast so I've since gotten a refill at another place that made them much thinner but my pedicure is still intact! I tried to do a drop in but they're quite busy in the weekends and request that you call ahead. Also keep in mind this place is CASH ONLY! They have an ATM but make sure you bring enough if you don't want to withdraw from the ATM. read more

READY FOR SUMMERRRR! Been going to this place for a year or so for gel and acrylics and the ladies are super nice. I usually call ahead to make an appointment even though they do take walk-ins. The quality of you mani/pedi seems to be inconsistent. And service varies from person not sure what happened this time the place wasn't busy but the lady was running around saying she would have to leave early then, another customer walked in saying she needed her brows done. Ergo the woman doing my nails rushed to finish so she could cram eyebrows in. Needless, to say my nails ended up being uneven, I had to shape them when I arrived home. I will no longer travel from Pleasanton wasting time and money for crappy service. I'll just ask my new coworkers for their recommendations. If you're a professional with a vehicle I would recommend a nicer more professional place for services. Oh and btw the tools they use aren't sanitary they are reused from person to person, no soaking in barbicide autoclaving or anything! Jeesh!!! read more

You start off by taking your shirt off afterwards and put on a robe before getting on the bed. She then starts off with a forehead, temple, neck, and shoulder massage. After that's finished, she puts on a heated eye mask and then begins all the hair things. My hair was washed with OLAPLEX shampoo about 2x, and throughout it all she is massaging my head nonstop. I love the head massage the most! There is a water ring around your head that waterfalls on vou to rinse vour hair multiple times as well. March 2022 I came in for a full set and got my nails done by a nail tech I had never seen before. And she immediately started working on my nails without asking what I wanted. She finally asked, and I showed her a picture I will post below. And I explained that I wanted exactly the same colors and style. She said okay. And proceeded to do my nails. They were supposed to be a rounded French tip. But she botched them so I told her to just do a triangle style. (No idea what the proper term is.) She botched that as well. And the glitter I said I wanted black. And she did blue. I thought maybe I should trust the process, and perhaps she would change it. But nope! She sealed the polish and left as is. I pointed to the glitter and stated that wasn't what I wanted. She said it was "pretty" and smiled. Language barrier made it difficult to get my point across. I was completely dissatisfied. I had thought I found a new nail place. Will think twice before coming back. UPDATE: May 2022 Gave them another shot. Got a similar set done by Tu, she did a good job. I specifically requested her upon my arrival. As she had done a good job my first time. My mom got a set done by another tech. And it chipped the day after. She also wanted the French tip higher. And although she went back and forth with the girl. She didn't seem to understand. My recommendation would be to ask for Tu. If I go back, I will only get my nails done by her. The rest of the techs lack experience and a steady hand. They also seem to want to get the set done as fast as possible, and don't seem to be concerned with whether you are happy with the end result. Unlike Tu. 2 stars only because Tu herself does a great job. read more

Winchester Nails has been doing my nails for the past year and I am never spending my nail money anywhere else! Gel X has been really great for my nails from the price to the application. I love how the gel x glues on to your whole nail bed and not just the tip, which makes them last way longer, plus your nail is not damaged when they come off! I've been working here for a while, and the owner insists that we reuse tools like nail files, buffers, and heel scrubbers; I'm actually more worried about the risk of spreading nail fungus by reusing these items between clients than I am about the paraffin wax. The owner is also greedy enough to skim 20% off the tips meant for the technicians. She asked me what shape I wanted and there was a handy sheet that showed the different shapes - I opted for my regular square with rounded edges. She cut, filed and shaped them - but they weren't exactly the shape I wanted. It was close enough, so I just went with it. My nails turned out okay - the catseye color was pretty and I liked the look of it. The massage was good. However, the shape and application of polish needed some work. Overall - it just felt rushed. I was then shown to my pedicure station and someone else worked on my toes. The pedicure went fine, the colors chosen were pretty and everything went okay. Again, I enjoyed the massage and was able to relax. However, at the end, I was left at the station and my technician walked away. I assumed I was to wait for a while while my nails dried since I got regular polish on my toes. This would have been fine, but my technician never came back to check on my toes or tell me when I could leave. After half an hour, I checked my toes and tried to make eye contact so she could come back. After another 10 mins of sitting and trying to get her attention, she came back and I asked if I was good to leave. Overall, the 1st nail technician and owner(?) was welcoming when I came in. I liked the color that I got on my nails, but would prefer a different shape and a thinner application of polish. It ended up lifting within a week and peeling off after a week and a half. 2nd technician who did my toes was efficient, but I would have liked some communication about how long to wait and coming back to check on my toes. I will go back and try one more time as my friends highly recommend one of the technicians.

At checkout, I said I would not be paying full price due to the excessive wait. One staff member was apologetic, but another stepped in and insisted I pay full price, clearly annoyed that I even asked for a discount. Only after pushing back did they take 10 dollars off. I paid 105 dollars for a 3.5 hour appointment that was not even fully completed. This place is disorganized, overbooks aggressively, and does not respect customers' time. A 10 dollar discount for this experience is honestly insulting. Would not come back. Would not recommend.
