FYI: My review is about the service department-I have no experience with the sales department. The service here is the best I've had from any Hyundai dealership. I've had my Elantra since 2007 and have been to dealerships all across the country to get it serviced. This one goes the extra mile, every time. Duncan is the guy I always go to see, and he is willing to go above and beyond for the customers. Earlier this week my valve gave out on my transmission on the I-84 on the way back from the airport at traffic hour and I had to rush to make an appointment for 7am the next morning to get my car in before work. Not only did they fit me in last minute, they got me a rental, called me at work throughout the day to keep me in the loop, ordered the part and then gave me a discount for the rental because I had to wait an extra day and authorized every charge with me before doing the work and putting it on my credit card. When I went to pick up the car this morning, the cold weather (23F today) made my windshield crack and rear view mirror fall off. He is planning on calling my insurance company and trying to see if they will cover a windshield replacement for me and wave the deductible, and calling around town to see where I can get the best price for glass if that doesn't work out. I work in retail and my schedule is very hectic right now, so he is going the extra step to call me at work with the details. They are also very accommodating with pick up times, and can leave your keys and paperwork at the sales department if you need to come after hours. This review is specific to the service department. Since my car is still under warranty this is where I go but I'll question that in the future. I've never really had a problem before but then I've only done oil changes before. I had my car in 3 days ago for some issues I'd been having and today my low tire pressure light came on. Took it in to be checked and they said there was a nail in the tire and it's NOT repairable. $137 was the cheapest they could replace the tire. I'd have normally just gone with their word but I only have $82 in the bank. So I took it to les schwab hoping to get by with a used tire till payday and you know not only could les schwab repair the tire at no cost, they couldn't see any reason why Withnell couldn't have repaired it. read more

With so many choices these days for consumers it amazes me when a company can't get customer service right. I normally take my cars to a local mechanic, but this particular car I haven't needed any service on until now. I thought that since I had bought the car from Withnell and since based on a google forum search the issue seemed pretty common that I could just call as ask them if they have seen this issue before and if they know how to fix it. If they knew how I'd gladly take it to them rather than have my mechanic go in blind possibly never seeing this issue before. I called service and was immediately put on hold. No big deal. So I waited. When the lady came back on the phone and I explained that I just wanted to know if they had seen and fixed this issue before she acted like it was quite possibly the weirdest request she had ever heard. She put me on hold again to wait for the "advisor". I waited again only to get her again telling me that he was way too busy to talk to me. In other words, it translated to me that my phone call wasn't worth their time. I told her I'd just take my car somewhere else and her only response was "ok, bye." Well.... Not only will I not bring my car in for service there, but in the next year or two when I was planning to buy a bigger family car I will be sure to shop elsewhere. I called about my car (under warranty) having trouble starting. The lady answering phone said that they couldn't get me in for 7 days. 2 days later my car left me stranded (with my kids in car) I called expecting to be taken care of with an apology. Instead 'you can tow your car down here, but it will not be looked at until your appointment' I tried to reason with her that I needed my car to go to work. 'I understand that but we are short staffed' is all she said. No apology! Albany Hyundai was willing to take care of me same day. The manager even called me back. Not a snotty girl on the phone. I have never been treated so badly as a customer in my life. She should not have a job in customer service! Period!! read more

I want to start by telling you that I did not end up buying a car here but I wish they had the car I wanted because I was treated so well by the salesman. I worked with Michael Mendrin and he treated me with great courtesy. He answered all my questions, he made sure I had all the information I needed, he was ready and waiting when I arrived for my appointment, he was not pushy but willing to work with me. Easily the best experience we have ever had any car dealership in Arizona Washington and Oregon. Tony was lights out amazing! He knew every single detail about the car and at the same time he wasn't trying to sell us on anything. One of the nicest guys and definitely down to her and doesn't give you the sales man five. Then there's a guy that looks like Leonardo DiCaprio from the Wolf of Wall Street. He was truly amazing as well. He saw that my son was A typical two-year-old and rambunctious. He was telling me about his kids and at the same time he got my son a coloring book and crayons and then even gave him some cheese it's that he had which was awesome! Sarah going assuming is one of the management members was truly amazing as well. She didn't try to screw us on any numbers. We did our research prior to getting there if she was definitely on point. The first place we went was power Kia and had a great experance. I was probably could have just bought a Sorento at that moment, but I wanted to be sure and wanted to explore a couple other options. Jim at Power Kia was very understanding and understood that I just needed to be 100% confident. we went to the ford dealership.. Nothing there that I could afford that we liked that was new. Then we went to Withnell Hyundai. Things were going pretty well at first, except I asked for my keys back, ( I know the key game) and was denied. I was kinda annoyed by the fact he called his "boss" and started talking about my car and situation instead of walking across the way to talk to him. ( I know this game also) eventually I felt insulted ,because it wasn't properly explained to me that we where upside down in the Cadillac. we where walking out and I was handed my keys and my registration. The problem is.. I never gave anyone my registration, or permission to obtain it. I am still pissed about it. Someone went through my glovebox. What if I Had a hand gun, or my fathers ashes in there or anything else.. I mean seriously, what gives anyone the right to rifle through my belongings without permission? None! We Left and went right back to Power Kia where I was treated with respect, honestly, and they went the extra mile to make us happy. I would never ever recommend Withnell Hyundai to anyone. This is my second purchase from Withnell. My first, about 5 years ago was great, but clearly things have gone downhill. I purchased a new Hyundai in December. The salesman couldn't find the second key fob so he told me he would contact me the next week to get it to me and set up my first oil change. Two months go by with no word, so I stopped in to talk to the manager, Tony. I explained that my daughter works nights and borrows my car so passing the one key fob back and forth was inconvenient. He apologized, took down the VIN and said he would call me the next day. I was understanding and let him know that we were in the market for a used car for my daughter in case he got anything in that fit our needs. Two more months go by, no word from Tony, so I called and left him a message. It's now been two weeks. No return call, no key fob, no explaination. Once you sign on the dotted line, their customer care ends. I highly regret this purchase. read more
