Wire from a cleaning brush in my orange chicken

Ordered beef broccoli and orange chicken got all orange chicken and a little surprise with my food. Won't be going back.

My order brought it back home
Francine L.

A local fast-food Chinese spot named Wok Restaurant. This is in the same plaza as the Albertsons location in Diamond Bar. I have come here maybe three times in the past decades that I have lived here. But every time I do come here I was just craving some food like this. The lady here packs it to the max and you can pick two or three items with either rice or chow mein or half and half. I love the noodles here because I use red chili paste from my fridge to stir it in and it's nice and spicy. If you don't like spicy you can add some soy sauce that is also going to give you that saltiness. If you have it the way it is you might think it is too boring. But overall this place is nice and the price is super cheap. One order can for sure feed two people!

Chow Mein, Beef Broccoli, and Tangerine Chicken
Jane L.

Wok Restaurant serves Chinese fast food located in the same plaza as Albertsons in Diamond Bar. They're cash only. The menu is on a brightly lit screen that looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90's. And if they did update it, they used white tape with marker to update the prices. I ordered the Two Entree Combo with Chow Mein, Tangerine Chicken, and Beef Broccoli. The Chow Mein had great noodle texture, chewy, and bouncy however it was overly starchy as it had a starchy aftertaste. The Tangerine Chicken had great tangerine flavor except there was a heavier ratio of batter compared to the chicken. Some of the pieces were chewy. Great savory flavor on the Beef Broccoli. Most of the beef was chewy and some were tender. Some of the broccoli was super crunchy, others had a softer bite to it. They pack it and I mean packed to the point where some of the noodles were dangling out of the box and onto the metal counter. Cashier used the same gloves she used to handled the tongs to handle the money. Good ol' slimy cash. Service was pretty good. Cashier was friendly. Food was alright, I wouldn't make it a rush to go back.

Box is overflowing.

Just look at the size of our box. It is literally overflowing. Food tastes amazing, authentic and fresh Chinese food (better than Panda Express). Their service is great, as you ask for an item, and they heap it into your box. This is a no-frills Chinese restaurant, which is just my type of place. My friend and I had just come back from a long 50 mile biking trip, and this is exactly what we needed. We were absolutely ravenous, and we still couldn't finish the boxes that they gave us! That's an absolute win. Definitely recommend, and coming back.

I've been to quite a few skewer places in the past year and this is definitely one of my favorites…read morenow! It is so well priced and a perfect vibe for some drinks and skewers with friends. We were seated fairly quickly and ordered off of a tablet which was nice and simple. For food we started with the garlic enoki mushrooms. They were packed with so much flavor and had a nice kick to it! We also got the beef, pork belly, squid legs, and chicken skin skewers. All were delicious and well seasoned. The quantity they sell them in is high, but the meat pieces are pretty small so it makes sense. My absolute favorites were the beef, which was slightly sweet, and the chicken skin, which was sooo crispy and also with a slightly sweet flavor to it. I would definitely come back here and it seems really fun with a bigger group!

We've been exploring our new neighborhood recently and stumbled upon this hidden gem a few minutes…read moreaway from us. We were craving siomai and Peking duck for dinner. Fortunately, they serve both. We both love siomai, duck, and crispy salted squid so we ordered the trio. The siomai was fresh. Tasted as if it was just off a lunch cart. It's delicious and the serving size is quite generous. The price is unbeatable too. We really enjoyed its balanced taste. Sometimes, siomai can be a bit bland but this was packed with flavor. The Peking Duck was great too. Reminded us of our time in Hong Kong. Less oily but still delicious. The buns were great too. We both enjoyed every bite. The sauce was excellent too. It had sweetness to it from the pineapple sauce. The salted crispy squid is balanced. Salty yet a bit sweet. It's definitely more of the indulgent side of things. Best paired with rice. We skip the carbs that night, but we'll definitely order this again paired with something else. The service here is great. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. It doesn't feel like rushed service. Ambiance here feels like your typical Chinese restaurant. It's clean and you can tell it has aged over time. You're here for the good food though, not the aesthetics. This will definitely be our local go to. We genuinely enjoyed the food and can't wait to explore more of the menu during our next visit.

The menu includes your typical dim sum items, and pricing of each type of dim sum is color coded so you are aware of the cost. It does also have your traditional dim sum cart that come by your table to serve your popular dim sum dishes like Har Gaw (rice-skin dumpling with shrimp), etc. For items that are not in the push cart, you can order these directly with the waiter. For two people, we ordered steamed chicken feet, shu mai, shrimp rice rolls, ham sui gok (deep fried meat dumplings, and creamy egg yolk buns. Food wise, taste as expected and portion is plenty for two people. It's good enough if you are craving for dim sum locally, and don't have to travel all the way to SGV. Service wise, make sure when you wave down your server to order all your dishes, or it may take him/her a while to come back around. Pricing wise, great value considering the local area. Worth checking it out when in the area. Come and support our local businesses!

All of the items I've tried so far are great but I really enjoy dan dan noodles and the one here is amazing! It has a really nice, addicting heat to it. Another favorite are the beef rolls. It wasn't dry and there was a right amount of spread. The millet porridge surprised me (I'm used to white rice congee) - it was $1.99 and so comforting and cozy. It would probably be amazing to have when you're feeling under the weather. Also, when you order takeout, they line the container with foil for some items; it's a nice "not cheaping" out detail. In the age of trendy tiktok spots and consumerist gimmicks, it's refreshing to eat at a local mom and pop shop. Flavor Noodle House is run by an older couple, the kind woman is the server and her husband is the cook. (Note that she is currently recovering from an injury so please give grace and have patience when eating in.) I remember the first time I came here, I was moved by how nice service was. You can even feel the joy and kindheartedness through the phone when you're calling in to place an order. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist, but good hospitality goes a long way. The best comment I got was being asked if I'm from Taiwan not because of my 'accent' but because Taiwanese people always order green onion pancake. It's just there's so much food I can eat in one sitting and she got me. Then came to talk me into the beef rolls as it's what they're famous for on top of noodles and rice noodles. I.. didn't need much convincing at that point to break my vegetarian diet. And boy, it was worth it. These beef rolls were the bees knees. The pancakes are homemade, generous marinated beef, just like what I grew up with down to the cilantro and scallion. I'm good for the next couple of years or until the next time I decide to donate blood and a chocolate chip cookie just won't cut it. Fried rice was perfect. If you're a fan of peas or green beans, you'd love the egg fried rice! Beef/beef tendon noodle soup was from what I heard and gather from the single half floating noodle left after too busy to talk by the end of the meal, delicious. The broth is made proper without cheats. Noshtalgia- satisfied. Very mom and pop shop right next to the long standing El Pollo Loco. I've heard their lamb noodle soup is also a headliner.

After trying multiple roast duck delis, I can confidently say Duck Palace is one of those places…read morethat quietly delivers exactly what you want--no gimmicks, just consistently well-executed classics this far east of SGV Let's start with what you're here for: the roast duck. This is where Duck Palace really earns its name. The skin hits that ideal balance--lightly crisp with a slight lacquered sheen--while the meat underneath stays juicy and flavorful without being overly fatty. It's not trying to be trendy or reinvent anything; it's just done right. The seasoning leans traditional Cantonese--savory, slightly sweet, and aromatic without being heavy-handed. I did not try the supporting dishes, but they had a good variety outside the roast duck. This is where you can tell whether a place is a one-hit wonder or a true kitchen. They had BBQ combo plates, stir-fried dishes, and various sides. Service here is efficient, is part of the charm. You're coming for good food, done well. Best to call in to reserve a duck ahead of time because they will sell out by mid-afternoon. The space itself is clean and straightforward--more casual than upscale--but comfortable enough for both quick meals and relaxed family meals. What I appreciate most about Duck Palace is the consistency. The price is reasonable for what you are paying for and the duck combo meal is enough to feed 2-3 people. Pro tips: - Go earlier in the day if you want the freshest roast selections. - Takeout holds up surprisingly well (the duck skin still has some integrity if you don't let it sit too long). - Great option when you want authentic flavors without driving deeper into the valley. - Discount for paying in cash Bottom line: If you're in Diamond Bar and craving authentic Cantonese roast meats, Duck Palace is a reliable go-to. It may not be flashy, but it delivers where it counts--and sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

The price point felt very fair, especially with the dumplings coming in at $14.85. Ambiance was casual and clean, jazz music with nice wall art. The food was good, the scallion pancakes were perfect for splitting between us. I also really appreciated the balanced portion control; it felt like just the right amount of food without being overwhelming. We were only ones in the restaurant near end of business on a Sunday night. Service speed was expected as cook to order. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a simple and reasonable meal in Walnut or near Mt. San Antonio College. FYI photos are of the wall art, food was devoured.

After 30 mins, they brought out a new one, we can still see and smell the burn, but this time is not as bad so we decided to take it, BUT it's visible lack of meat (2 pieces of really small and all fat preserved meat with some sausages). So we asked them to give us more. They brought out some more, yet, it looks like burned charcoal. All black and hard. It even makes a clear sound when it hits the plate. It's so hard and tough and unadvertised (Photo attached). We couldn't believe what we saw and made a complain to the waitress, who is really nice and apologized. Not her issue. It was the kitchen. The quality of their food is inconsistent, but most importantly it's the way of unwilling of fix it.
