I've only been here for their breakfast burritos so my review is on this. The bacon breakfast burrito is so good! What I like about it is that it's consistent. Every time we order it you'll get it the same way each time. It's so simple but it's so good. The side salsa they give you has lots of flavor too and I always order a cooked jalapeño on the side. Wonder burger is a hidden gem. The only thing is they aren't open on Sundays other then that go check them out. read more

Wonder Burger: the bun was very hard and bacon was dry. The patty, mushroom & avocado was delicious. Wonder Burrito: loved it with their salsa! So flavorful and lots of meat. But the tortilla was dry. Hangover fries: my favorite! Lots of goodies in it. Chili cheese fries with jalapeño pastrami. Couldn't stop eating it. Hangover Dog: Skip. The chili was very watery. After posting my review of the SAD, Lucky Boy Burrito, my breakfast burrito Sensei, gave me a head's up about Wonder Burgers in Pasadena. I acted quickly and got the same burrito to compare. Yep, big - Yep chewy tortilla - Damn the salsa came in a small container but it wasn't the cheapass shit, this was salsa, not red water. Next time I will see if they can add the salsa while wrapping up the burrito. Less potatoes and more cheese than Lucky Boy. Nice bacon in both. Good amount of egg in both. Wonder Burger was 80 cents cheaper after taxes, so overall they get the better grade. Is that simple enough for you Yelp Elitists to accept? Likely will just go over your sock-covered heads while you extol the virtues of like, some, like, hidden gem, like in an ROTD, like. Consult with Pancho V. as I do. No lie, this joint does not look the most attractive from the outside. We were on a road trip and needed a quick bite so we decided to take the risk. You know how they say not to judge a book by it's cover? Yeah, don't. The food here was actually pretty good. They have way too many options to choose from so it was pretty hard to make a decision. And the portions were HUGE! For the same price up in Norcal, we would've got half the quantity we got. And this is why we ended up over ordering- we had no idea the food would be that much. You really get the bang for your buck. I took off a star because I wasn't really a fan of the fish in the fish and chips. The fish inside was dry and it was mostly batter. However the fries were piping hot and cut pretty thick. The grilled cheese was your typical, simple and satisfying. This is where I messed up. I also got a bean and cheese burrito, thinking it would be tiny. That *bleep* was gigantic! Also full of cheese. The beans weren't mashed though, it was just straight up pinto bean. If you want a great burger. This is the place. Nobody makes an Avocado bacon cheese burger like Wonder Burger. I have been coming here for over 30 tears. They close early and not open on Sundays. If you want a no thrill place but a good burger. Its a must go to if you are in Pasadena. Parking is tight but plenty of street parking. read more

I was in the area which is quite rare and this came up as a nearby option. It is not much to look at from the outside or inside, but I am pretty open minded when it comes to a quick, casual lunch. You order at the counter and then they call you up when it is ready. I ordered a Pastrami Burger and Cheese Fries. Pastrami is not something I get to order often so when it is an option I usually go for it. The burger was good. The flavors were on point and they give you a good amount of pastrami. To be clear the burger would be good on its own, but pastrami just makes it even better. The cheese fries were large and smothered in cheese. You definitely get a lot of food. Again, like the burger, the fries would be good with just some ketchup. Of course, cheese just makes it that much better. This is a solid option for a casual meal. Drive thru takes a while. Long wait to place order and then longer wait to get to window and pay with only one car ahead ie. NOT a fast food type drive thru but a smaller mom/pop style. That said , the service was warm, kind , helpful and thoughtful. I got a small order of ZUCCHINI fries and I was full before getting to my burger! They gave me ranch with it. If you are on a budget those will fill you up! I mentioned I had to drive back to the Valley and was gonna have to snack on my fries and she packed my food in an open box style to make it easy for me to dip my fries cuz I sat the box in passenger seat safely! This is the best spot in the area for value-oriented eating. Absolutely nothing special, yet nothing bad. The burgers remind me of the unassuming burgers of my youth--thin, served on a sesame seeded yellow bun, pairs nicely with standard toppings. This location also serves up Mexican food and a large breakfast menu. Prices are much lower than surrounding restaurants and that earns a 4th star from me for an otherwise 3 star place. read more

But the second time it was not covering her nose, she pulled her mask down to take a drink as I watched through the window. And then proceeded to replace her mask with it below her nose. Do not come here if you expect fast and friendly service. Waited 37 minutes for 2 take out breakfast orders. When inquiring about our order because several people that ordered after us were getting their orders and we were told rudely that it was coming. Come and find out the cashier never placed the order for the cook so rather than acknowledging the mistake and make it right the cook in thinking I did not Spanish or unable to hear him said to the cashier to give us back our money back because we asked about our order. I'm sorry if you made the mistake, how about acknowledging it and apologizing. It was your cashiers mistake not our and what was wrong in inquiring about our order after we had waited almost 45 min. To make it worse the people who had ordered right behind us were getting order when I was getting my refund and our was not even getting started, sorry but too late. First time at Wonder Burger ever, excited to order fried zucchini sticks for lunch...long story short, they put them in a "to-go" open face box...one that you would use for a to go meal like wrapped burger, bag of fries and napkins. I had a three minute drive back to work and when I picked up the box I placed it on my stomach while I grabbed the rest of my belongings and looked at the seat where I had them sitting and there was a HUGE OIL STAIN...the oil from cooking them drained out of the box onto the seat and when I looked down on my shirt, my belly had another big OIL STAIN...I think my work shirt and the undershirt (new tank top I love) are ruined. I also have to clean the upholstery in my work car!!! Hopefully they package them different for others...I have no idea if that's how they always come. I love this old skool burger joint/diner. It's a family owned business, the son-in-law now runs it and has updated it. I appreciate that although the menu is pared down & simplified, it still delivers the goods! Where else can you get a chili pastrami burrito!?! need I say more? It's really comforting that some things don't change and that's for the better. Although the prices have slightly increased with the new updates, the same old quality & value is still there. Wonder Burger (as of Dec.'14) is better than ever! Now Wonder Burgers has WiFi and takes credit cards, and the interior and sign are all freshly redone. They struck the perfect balance of keeping the comfy ambience and sprucing it up as well. This is my favorite place to chill and eat, and meet with friends for at least 20 years. The food is good, the ingredients are quality, and the people that eat there are always nice. I personally like a place where you can order and then not be bothered every five minutes or feel rushed. Wonder Burger is sort of a refuge for a lot of people in the neighborhood that feel the same. Breakfast is, of course, my favorite, and I think a lot of people would agree- as it's always pretty well attended. Good Farmer Brothers restaurant grade coffee. Typical small business burger joint with a mish mash of food from burgers to burritos. Burgers are tasty and damn HUGE. few things that will make me pick this place over the other competitors (Lucy, Tops, Toms) 1. "The mix". Tell the family to shut their pie holes. Something for everyone - fries, onion rings, fried zucchini. 2. Idk what sorcery they use on the onion rings but we had a few left over and put them in the fridge. A few hours later they were still crunchy and not soggy. They also use a sweet thick onion 3. Fire grilled jalapeños on the side for the low low price of on the house. 4. The lady at the drive thru practices the best anti-COVID hygiene ever. Hand her your card and she hands it back cradled in a Clorox wipe after wiping it off. Then clips your receipt for signature to a clipboard then wipes the board and pen before handing it to you Odd hours though. Seem to be closed a lot when I'm craving a burger. read more

Been on my list because of the great burrito reviews. Stopped by at 8:30 on a weekday and no drive through line. Took more than 10 minutes to get me a burrito. Coffee was better than average. Burrito with mushroom and avocado had little of either, humongous flour tortilla though. First bites were just tortilla. Lacked flavor, salsa on the side, but if there is a next time I will have them put it in the burrito, because impossible to unwrap and put in. Dipping is a mess when you are in the car. $10 for burrito and coffee sadly about average. The worst though was the broken dirty window where you pay and get food. Counter also dirty as was exterior around it. Yuck. Nice enough staff. read more
