Food experience great employees are amazing with customers am giving this place a one star review because this is not the first time I have a bad experience and notice this one guy being very disrespectful towards customers and employees i believe he is the manager. First time I try to order and he was always on the phone and when I had questions he was answering them in a rude tone. We ended up taking a bite of each to figure out which is which and how to distribute. Also for the side, I'd go with the tortilla soup (although it was hot), over the side salad. Side salad was just salad mix with a vinaigrette. Their sauces were pretty good too. They offer salsa, salsa verde, chimichurri. It's also nice that they offer vegetarian and vegan options. PRICE - a little on the pricey side. A la carte per empanada is like $4.40 each. Combo of 2 empanadas, side, and drink is $12. SERVICE - the workers here are all very friendly and helpful. Made sure to tell us to ask questions if we had any, good vibes from each of them, and when bringing to the back patio to give our food, was conversational with us and our dog. I've been coming here since 2015, back when the empanadas were always excellent. Now it is just gambling whether I will get a good empanada or not. Yesterday I ordered 6, 2 of which were fresh perfect empanadas, and 4 were stale from the day before, or something was wrong with them. In the past couple years every time I have ordered it's been a gamble, sometimes receiving good empanadas, sometimes stale, and sometimes a mix of the two types. If the quality was consistent I would eat here regularly but I don't want to gamble anymore. The good empanadas are flaky and soft, but the stale ones the dough is rock hard and the filling tastes old. If the consistency issue was solved, I would rate 5 stars and eat here, but I won't pay nearly 40 dollars for 6 empanadas to get 2 great ones, and 4 inedible ones. read more

A few weeks ago, we had a poor experience and there was little effort to make it right. I emailed the following: " We're frustrated with our experience today. My wife placed order 3893573 at 1:59p and the order was ready when I arrived to pickup at 2:20 (older man at the window). We were very excited to try these empanadas. I love the thoughtful variety of flavors like savory meat and Vegan as well as dessert options. The service is great and you can tell they care about their food. My issue is with the dough to filling ratio. I found too much breading which made each empanada heavier than I'm used to in my empanadas. Bonus is if you're in a hurry to feel full, their empanadas will do the trick. I don't like feeling heavy after. I also found the dough for the dessert empanada very heavy and not sweet. A big carbo with sweetness experience. Holy empanadas! This place just couldn't get any cuter (and yummier). Can't believe it's taken me THIS long to stop by! If you haven't been, you are sorely missing out. Fantastic customer service here! The cashier took his time explaining the different flavors to me and recommended some of his favorites. I ended up getting a beef, spinach and cheese, mushroom and cashew cheese (vegan) and biscuits and gravy empanadas. You do have to wait a few minutes for your order to be ready, but it's totally worth it because they come out hot and perfectly toasted. My favorite was the spinach and cheese, but all of them were very tasty. Each bite had a great amount of filling. I wasn't the biggest fan of their sauces. I was expecting more of a chimichurri type sauce, but they were more like salsa. However it was nice that they had three different options/spicy levels depending on what you like. I love their whole system of how to identify which empanada is which. The empanadas are not only labeled THEMSELVES, but they give you a sheet with your order to decode what the different abbreviations are. So convenient! There is a small amount of seating outside with umbrellas if you wish to eat there. They also have curbside pick-up! I could definitely see these empanadas being a great way to cater a party. For my 4 empanadas, it came out to about $20 (I believe they are $4.50 each). I didn't have any trouble finding parking so it was easy to get in and out! Stopping by on a Friday afternoon, I was happy and excited to see a busy place hoping this would be an amazing "meal" or more so "snacks" turned into a meal. The restaurant has a walk-up window to place orders with the menu above so it's a pretty safe option for those not liking to go indoors. Cashier and later the "server" bringing the food to the window were very friendly and helpful with any questions or requests. After looking at the menu I chose three empanadas - biscuits & gravy, spinach & cheese, and the breakfast. These three totaled just under $15. I was also asked if I wanted any sauces and chose chimichurri. I immediately noticed and loved the look of the empanadas - all look crispy, baked perfectly, and the crimping was even better because they stamp the shop name and initials of the type of empanada on each! Very clever and great option! My least favorite of the three was the breakfast. It was just a bit boring and didn't really have seasoning or other flavors besides the basic ingredients like cheese, eggs, etc. I didn't get any bacon flavor and the potatoes kinda mushed into everything. Next was the biscuits and gravy. This was more unique and tasted good, and I loved the creaminess with the bites of sausage, almost reminded me of a pot pie. But again, it didn't really make me go "wow". The favorite of the three - and to my surprise - was the spinach and cheese. Cheesy and the spinach was cooked well without being bitter. Sadly I was not a fan of the chimichurri at all. It was more oil than anything and the only flavors I tasted was the oregano. All three were a good size and make for a good size lunch on their own.
