The experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. They refused to seat our 14 party table together despite there being zero other patrons in the restaurant. Originally, they sat us two tables a part. After much resistance and back and forth, we were able to have our other party seated at a table next to us. They refused to allow us to push the other party's table together despite our larger party's table already being two tables pushed together. There were still no other patrons in the restaurant 40mins into our dining experience yet a consistent refusal to allow us to sit together despite celebrating a student's graduation and several people flying in from other continents. The rest of the service experience was characterized by negative energy and slow service. The macaroni stuffed turkey leg lacked seasoning on the turkey, and the gumbo had meatballs in it, disappointing considering the quality of food in the rest of New Orleans. Overall, the look of the restaurant felt fancy, despite the lack of a real ceiling, but the service and food quality was not. I do not recommend, especially for special occasions or large parties, and disappointed that our special occasion was impacted by an inability to provide standard restaurant service. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience celebrating my 34th birthday at Wow Turkey on July 3, 2026. I made my reservations over a month in advance. Before booking, I called the restaurant multiple times because I had a party of approximately 14 people and wanted to make one large reservation. Unfortunately, no one ever answered the phone, so I had no choice but to make two separate online reservations. On the day of my reservation, I called to let the restaurant know I was running late. I spoke with the hostess, Sanai, who was incredibly kind, professional, and understanding. I explained why I had two reservations, and she assured me she would do her best to seat our party together since there appeared to be enough space. I truly appreciated her willingness to help. When I arrived, however, I was immediately stopped by the manager, Danita, who told me my dress was inappropriate because it was too low-cut and asked whether I had a jacket. Considering it was approximately 95 degrees outside, I did not. While I completely understand that restaurants have the right to enforce a dress code, the interaction was embarrassing, especially before I had even been seated. As I walked to greet my friends who had already arrived, I realized our party had been split into two different sections of the restaurant. Some of my guests were seated near the front, while the rest of us were seated near the bar. I went back to speak with Sanai, who explained that she had already spoken with the manager and that we could not be seated together because I had made two separate reservations. Although I was disappointed, I didn't argue. I simply went to my assigned table. As soon as I sat down, I noticed that the tables on both sides of us were completely empty. Since there appeared to be available seating, I politely asked the manager once more if there was any way our party could be seated together. Again, I was told no because I had made two separate reservations. The manager later explained that one of the empty tables was being held for the owner's family, which I completely understood and respected. However, there was still another empty table available, and I still couldn't understand why the fact that I had made two reservations prevented our group from sitting together. The only reason I had two reservations was because the restaurant never answered the phone despite my repeated attempts to book one reservation for my entire party. Whether it was booked as one reservation or two, it was still the same group of approximately 14 people celebrating the same occasion. The explanation simply didn't make sense to me. Once we settled in, the evening improved. The food was excellent, and our server, Sashay, was phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. We also had a wonderful interaction with another employee, Khi, who overheard me mention that I was originally from Chicago. He stopped to chat with us, and his kindness and personality made us feel genuinely welcomed. Those two employees deserve recognition because they helped salvage what had otherwise been a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, my interactions with the manager continued to overshadow the evening. In my opinion, she came across as dismissive and unwilling to accommodate what I believed was a reasonable request, despite there appearing to be enough space to do so. To add insult to injury, as we were wrapping up dinner, the guests for the reserved table finally arrived. The women in the group looked beautiful, but I couldn't help but notice that several of them were wearing lace, sheer, and see-through clothing that, in my opinion, was just as revealing if not more revealing than my dress. In some cases, their undergarments were clearly visible through their clothing. My issue is not with those women. They looked beautiful and should have been able to enjoy their evening without being embarrassed. My concern is the apparent inconsistency in how the dress code was enforced.I understand and respect a restaurant's right to have and enforce a dress code. What I struggle to understand is why I was singled out while other guests wearing similarly revealing outfits were not. I cannot say for certain why our experiences were different, but I left wondering whether my being a plus-size woman influenced how the policy was applied. Whether that was the case or not, it was the way the experience made me feel, and that feeling stayed with me long after the dinner was over. One final experience left us scratching our heads. After dinner, one of the guests in my party wanted to leave our server an additional cash tip. The only bill he had was a $100 bill, so he politely asked the staff at the front if they could make change. Surprisingly, he was told they could not. As a result, he was unable to leave the additional tip he intended for Sashay, who absolutely deserved it. read more

I ordered the shrimp Po'Boy and my husband orders the Catfish Po'Boy fully dressed. It came with pickle only. No mayo! The bread was extremely chewy. Ended up only eating the shrimp. We made a reservation and when we arrived, we were seated not too long after check in. We sat and got settled, engaged in conversation and not until a couple that were seated after us , received glasses of water and a waitress, did we notice that no waitress had greeted us. I got someone attention, who must have been a food carrier, and I explained that no one had come to our table. He apologized and promised he would get someone. He returned, apologized again and assured us that someone would be with us soon. A young lady appeared shortly, apologized and explained that it wasn't her table but took our drink order and assured us that it would be figured out and our waitress would be with us shortly. We received our drinks and after a while another waitress appeared with a smile and introduced herself. There are lots of seafood options, I have a shellfish allergy, and I was surprised to be asked about allergies before ordering. I decided to order the Mac and cheese stuffed turkey leg and a small Caesar salad. When the entree arrived I was impressed with its presentation. I mean you think, it's a stuffed turkey leg ( lol) but it was plated well and smelled good. After my first bite I couldn't resist eating another. I became full almost immediately and asked for a to go plate. It was delicious to say the least. I was super excited to have it for left overs the following day and looked forward to that. Unfortunately, I have to say it doesn't rewarm well. The restaurant is beautiful. I loved the ambiance. I would go back because it was truly delicious. If you are looking for the worst service in history. This is it. This place will not make it, not with the unprofessional vibe. It doesn't matter if the turkey is the best, if service doesn't hit the mark. The hostess never acknowledged our presence and walked off for several minutes. Finally another staff member sat us, where we waited again. My friends and I had an amazing time here! The scenery was beautiful and we were greeted warmly by all the staff as soon as we entered the door. We had the spinach dip, chicken bites, turkey leg, and turkey necks all delicious. My favorite was the turkey necks, so flavorful and tender. The cocktails were also definitely a 10/10 recommend. Food looked great & so did reviews. We are local New Orleans residents decided to try WOW while we were in the CBD for a wedding. They should have a sign outside that says no white people allowed if thats how they really feel. We watched as they immediately sat every one of color as they came in as we waited. We watched as the servers joked with the hostess as they did not want to have us at their table bc we were a group of 4 white adults. The security guard and one hostess were very kind. While a few others clearly made a mockery of our being there. We decided to save them the trouble of serving us and took our business across the street to Cochon great food and service. read more

Soooo you can tell that they were newly opened. The servers definitely seem inexperienced. We sat down and we weren't greeted for about 10min or so and the only reason we did was because the manager was doing his due diligence and walking the restaurant. The server couldn't give us any real recommendations. He basically said everything we asked about was good. We got the sliders. Definitely not what we expected. It was more like slop. Like mushed turkey and gravy. We also got the mojo turkey leg. The pasta itself on the turkey leg was great. They definitely have decreased the amount of pasta u get with it tho because the portions seemed smaller than the previous pics and reviews we've seen. The turkey leg itself was very tender. Literally falling off the bone. I couldn't take any smoky flavor in the turkey leg and the turkey leg itself wasn't seasoned. They also only offered one dessert which was a bread pudding. I will say the manager was doing a good job to make sure to check in with everyone so that's a plus. Overall it wasn't horrible but it wasn't amazing either. I wouldn't go back but it's worth trying it out at least once. I think they are still working out the kinks. With time they will be booming. read more

Wow, how about being open? Everything says open until 10pm. Even the sign on your door!! Spent $30 to Uber there. At least 8-10 people came up to the door. But you were closed. my friends and I was visiting this establishment on a Monday evening to celebrate my birthday we walk in. It's beautiful inside that ambience is very nice. I love it. Sit down waiter was pretty cool, but we ordered appetizers and they took so long to come out.. we later ordered our entrées and me and my other friend had to send our entrées back because the food was not warm. My kids took me here for Mother's Day and I must say the ambiance was beautiful. Everyone was polite, well dressed and professional from the hostess to the managers to the waitress to the bartenders. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this place. I have nothing bad to say please if you're in the New Orleans area uptown near this restaurant please make sure you visit if you never have, and for our tourist in town please don't leave without checking this Restau out.
