Kids pancake--not advertised as Mickey, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.

This place is an homage to patriotism and the 2nd amendment. We seemed out of place as tourists, as the banter between the sole waitress and the various guests seemed familiar and not small talk--but we were given great service despite the place being full with only one server. The breakfast menu is simple, with your standard fare of eggs, breakfast meats (ham, bacon, sausage), pancakes, American (not French) toast, hash browns, etc. The kids' menu is very reasonably priced. I hate paying $10+ for something my kids will only eat a few bites of plus an extra $3-4 for a drink. Yankee Doodle's kids menu is less than $3 for an egg and slice of toast and less than $6 for the most expensive item (and of course I don't remember what that was). Typical of a greasy spoon/diner, the feel was very laid back and casual. Even if our RV park wasn't across the road, we'll likely come back to Yankee Doodle's Cafe while we're staying in Alpine. We aren't the type to take pics of our food, but the kids loved the Mickey pancake and the red, white, and blue sugar.

The decor is awesome as well!

Service was friendly and quick. Food was good and the prices were really affordable. I haven't been in here in years but I couldn't tell you why. I'll definitely be stopping in more often in the future.

Came here for breakfast and came back to try dinner. Staff are friendly and service is pretty fast. Tried their prime rib dinner. It's ok, not bad but I have had better. I could skip this next time around. The horseradish was really strong so go easy I like horseradish but I don't like it when it makes you teary eyed. Should have stuck with a sandwich or a burger...Next time.

Mary and I stopped in for breakfast. This place has been here a long time and the eclectic decor shows this. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. Coffee came right out. We shared a special; a giant biscuit topped with chicken fried steak, two fried eggs and country gravy, country potatoes on the side. Delicious!

What a great place to stop while traveling through Alpine, WY. We stopped in for breakfast, food was fresh, well cooked and good quality. Staff was prompt, efficient, friendly. Coffee was brought quickly with a extra pot for refills! The surrounding area is beautiful and if you sit in the right booth or table you'll have a great eyeful!

3 eggs over easy, all the meats, skillet potatoes, whole wheat roast.

Once again, in Alpine this place was absolutely gross. Salad was frozen and brown, food was greasy and soggy.

Muricans served daily! Questions? Cheese grits and bacon. And a healthy dose of red white and blue are all you need to know.

Great location, easy to find next to several shops…read more I was out on my own exploring and I chose to sit on a stool facing out towards the window. The weather was low 80's and they had the windows open. It was a great spot to people watch and keep an eye on a storm that was rolling in. I ordered a cold beer - Blue Moon. It was served cold with in the bottle so no orange slice for me. I am sure they would have a served it in a glass had I requested it. They were busy. The young man (host) was not at his station when I arrived, but shortly arrived and asked me how many seats I needed. He was attentive and agreed with me when I suggested the window seat. He chatted briefly about the storm rolling in. When my waiter arrived I knew what I wanted. After reading some reviews on here, I decided to order the crunchy salad with chicken. Beer: no complaints Salad: YES, YES, YES I know that it's not typical to go to a burger place and order a salad BUT let me tell you. The reviews are right! I will have another salad here before I leave Jackson for SURE! ANKA - she is the BEST! It was late and I didn't know my way to the nearest bus stop - I had taken the free town shuttle- ANKA walked me all the way to the nearest bus stop and explained the times the shuttle runs. This was way beyond what I expected. Thank you ANKA!

If you want a burger, go to Teton Drug around the corner. Even then too, the ice cream and milkshakes are super good at Teton Drug too. The best way to put it is this: Would you go to McDonald's and pay $16 for a burger, or would you go to Five Guys? Most of us would go to Five Guys. Don't come here! Spend your money on quality around the corner!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences…read moreI've ever had. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely full, but it's a very small dining room with only about 10 tables. We only waited about 10 minutes to be seated, and after seeing the great Yelp reviews, we were excited to eat there. There was only one larger party of eight; the rest of the tables were small groups, so nothing suggested the kitchen was overwhelmed. We were seated at 6:10 p.m., ordered drinks, and placed our dinner order shortly afterward. Then...nothing. We waited so long that we ordered a second round of drinks, assuming our food would be arriving any minute. After finishing those drinks, we finally asked about our order around 7:30 p.m.--more than an hour after ordering. The response from the other server was disappointing. Without any real apology or concern, we were simply told it would be another 10-15 minutes because they "had lots of to-go orders." If the kitchen was prioritizing takeout over guests who had been sitting in the dining room for well over an hour, that should have been communicated from the beginning. Then 10 minutes later, to make matters worse, the other server to whom we inquired --not even ours--brought peppermints to the table to "help with our hunger." Whether it was intended as humor or not, it came across as incredibly insensitive given we'd been waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes. At that point, we asked for our bill for the drinks and decided to leave. Unsurprisingly, our food appeared almost immediately after we asked for the check. By then, the experience had completely ruined our appetite. Our actual server did apologize, and I appreciated that, but it was simply too late to salvage the evening. I've eaten at countless restaurants over the years, and I have never experienced anything quite like this. Long waits can happen, but a restaurant should communicate honestly, apologize sincerely, and make guests feel valued. Unfortunately, none of that happened here. We left disappointed and I feel the need to warn others. I felt bad for our actual server (who we tipped normally) because she couldn't help the delay in the kitchen or her coworker's behavior.
