Had a late lunch with a party of 4 and 2 dogs. We were able to sit outside as we were the only customers there. The server was friendly and fast and listed the house specials and lunch specials. We decided to order the chaat, tikka masala, kashmiri kofta and garlic naan. Each dish was tasty and not hot (ordered mild). The chaat was a new dish that I tried which had crispy balls in a cold yogurt sauce. Was interesting and unexpected but not sure I'd order it again. Overall decent restaurant for a quick lunch.

Good quality food but higher prices and small portions. We came on a Tues afternoon around 2 and we were the only ones in the restaurant. They have a parking lot in back which was nice. They have mostly indoor seating but they have a small outdoor patio that is dog friendly. We got the chaat, tikka masala, kashmiri kofta and garlic naan. I feel like everywhere does chaat a little differently but this was just alright for me. It was the little fried dough balls drenched in a sweet yogurt sauce. A little one note in texture and a bit sweet for me. Tikka was good but standard. Chicken was very tender. Kashmiri kofta was good and the dumplings were a nice size. A ricb, flavorful sauce. Garlic naan was good. Bread was very soft. While naan was extra I did like that they include a bowl of rice with the entrees. Service was friendly and fast.

What an experience. First time trying Indian food and the recommendations we got were 10/10. Where do I begin? RJ was absolutely amazing and recommended what we ate and we went for it. The music Playing was also very pleasant and had a good vibe. I'm not sure if the gentleman that came out as we ate was the Chef or owner, but he asked if everything was okay. He was so Nice and welcoming. We got mild spicy chicken and lamb plates. Omg it was absolutely delicious. The Garlic bread, likewhoa. That bread was so gooooood. We ordered some to go as well. Thank you for an awesome Food experience. We'll be back soon to try more dishes. 10/10 for sure. Thank You RJ for all you did for us today.

Good date spot for authentic tasting Indian food. There was parking in the back, went on a Sunday around 3:30 and there wasn't many people there. The place looked very nice and clean and greeted through the door (Sandhya), seated immediately. We ordered drinks, (3ea) Chardonnay for the wife and (3ea) Taj Mahal beer for myself, the beer was really good, refreshing. We had the: o Chicken Makhni (butter chicken) - Tender and juicy, the sauce was so good, had to soak it all up with the naan bread. o Garlic naan - Soft, warm and fresh doughy taste, looked right out of the brick oven. o Samosas - fried pillow of dough with meat and veggies, little kick. oCrispy cauliflower - lightly battered and fried, sweet sauce soft and juicy in the middle. o Trio of chicken tikka - Colorful to taste a bit of variety chicken flavors that they had, interesting flavors. I think that last one was the least of my favorites for the order, it was good, but just too much with for what we had ordered already. The waiter Raj was very attentive, and had good feedback on the dishes when asked about them. We ended up staying over an hour and having more drinks because the environment was cool and calm. A wonderful date and dinner for $150 bucks, cant go wrong. We will for sure be going back for more when we get the urge for Indian food. We went 6/1/2025, the following week was craving it again, but life happened. Hopefully we can get back there again soon, appreciate the hospitality Raj!

Flavor Party in Little India, Artesia! If you're cruising through Artesia, you have to stop by Yantra. It's clean, cozy, and the food is a total vibe. We kicked things off with the Trio of Chicken Tikka. It's the perfect way to taste the "spectrum" of Indian flavors: * White: Creamy and mild. * Green: Fresh coriander zest. * Red: Classic bold spices. For the mains, the Chicken Makhni is a must-try. The tomato sauce is rich and perfectly seasoned. We paired it with Butter and Garlic Naan--super soft and the ultimate tool for scooping up every last drop of that sauce! Pro Tip: Come early to skip the line. It's the perfect spot to relax and fuel up.

"Eat Good Indian Food. Eat Good Indian Food. Eat Good Indian Food." That's my mantra eating at Yantra. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&select=480CeKJH75hkhYNHg2mctQ Yantra Kitchen is a trendy, modern Indian restaurant, specializing in Punjabi cuisine. When I noticed Yantra's Lunch Specials, it gave the impetus to stop by and give them a try. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=48&select=WADewNaEmXTzcFsVTzRFIQ Papdi Chaat- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=qk7veTSPmnOpX3gFgQZKUQ Yantra's Papdi Chaat is one of their signature dishes, and I really enjoyed it. The chilled yogurt makes this dual purpose - as an appetizer or as dessert. The varying textures provided contrast with each bite. A bit sweet for my taste, but otherwise a charming way to start/end a meal. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=NRhLFnuagCZ6fUfKln8mZA Lamb Curry https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=zNzo2Zpk59eIP-VxAs_q1g Upon digging into the Lamb Curry, I developed a coughing fit. Why? Yantra's curry was more pungent, rich, and assertive than what I was expecting. Which is a good thing! A sip of water, and I went back into devouring this delicious plate of tender lamb. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=VRvgy_GGihhqsdypr4vDHQ Service was good. The chef's son was attending to customers, and he was prompt & hospitable. Ample seating, inside & al fresco, the music playlist is quite good. Parking is via metered street parking in front, with a paid lot in the back. Yantra Kitchen also has a Chat Cart, selling enticing Indian street snacks. A tad pricier than other Indian eateries, Yantra Kitchen serves delicious food in a more upscale, yet homey environment. Their Lunch Specials are a great value to experience their menu, and I'm looking forward to coming back to exploring the rest of their entrees. Highly recommend!

Once upon a time, our group of Doctors within borders, celebrated Diwali here for dinner. We had chicken tikka masala, smoked eggplant, delicious naan, and rose lassi. All was wonderful! We enjoyed the restaurant's modern atmosphere, too. We will be back to try more of their splendid offerings. The end.

Good Indian food in a very modern restaurant. There is adequate parking behind (entry from 184th St). The space is very chic and modern, with an outdoor patio. The food is very good and service is okay. We started with Chicken Tikka Masala routine, which was excellent We had the cauliflower and Delhi 6 lamb curry, both of which were good. The Naan was very good. Definitely worth a visit, if you are in the area

Really great and flavorful food. We went on a Tuesday night and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Definitely a more upscale Indian restaurant in Little India but worth checking out. I like that they make an extra effort in plating the dishes. The waiter was nice and restaurant seemed clean. They had the large side window door open so lots of fresh air came into the restaurant, it was a pleasant experience.

This is a moderately fast casual Indian restaurant at the edge of Little India where there are seemingly an infinite number of places to choose from. Look no further. Parking is free in back down a rickshaw narrow alley. Good luck wedging the Duelly into a Compact Car Only space. While it feels like a fast casual spot it took a while to get the Crew up and running or at least trotting, but once everyone came to life Yantra was pleasantly efficient. You'll soon get used to the thumpin' loop and Dream Chaos and Ben Plum instead of the Bollywood version of Kars For Kids is manageable. The Decor is scant and has that dining in the Airport Terminal feel to it, but then you came for the good food and the convenience of being close to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. So, settle in anywhere you like and study the menu. There will be questions. (Pass over the Pizza and Pasta, and stick to the Indian fare) The Staff: Now that you've jump started the Server and the Busser dinner just flows. The friendly, helpful, extended family is at your service. The Food: Surprisingly good. Everything is basically made to order. No 55 gallon drum of Chicken Tikka Masala on simmer and waiting for the ladle here. Let's begin with the Go Goa Coconut Curry which is an ample sample of how well this kitchen can bring it. Boneless, Skinless Chicken in a deep pool of Sauce made with Coconut Milk, Curry Leaves, Ground Spices (Cumin, Coriander, Mustard Seed and Asafaetida which is dried sap from the Ferula Plant tasting of Onion and Garlic). Pick a protein (Chicken, Lamb, Shrimp or a Fish if you wish or maybe a Vegetable instead to grace the Sauce). This dish comes with a mound of Plain White Basmati Rice which is always a good idea if you want it hot hot hot as in Molecular Acid eating through the bowl and the table. The Go Goa Sauce is rich, complex and addictive. I'm no wimp but the medium spice level had my eyebrows, hair, and toes sweating like a borrowed mule in a hurry from the curry. This dish easily made the Gotta Go Back and Have It Again List. So, right now, it's time for some soothing, cooling Raita (Greek Yogurt, Cucumber, Garam Masala) to plop on your almost gone Go Goa. Time to hail Mahi and ask for Garlic Naan to push things around with. Alas, the Naan fell flat. It happens. No puffy pillow to be split and stuffed with stuff. Just take this Naan, roll it up like the Tortilla it resembles, and blot up the nearest Sauce that's played hard to get even if it's on someone else's table. Making friends is nice. Yellow Dal Tadka (Lentils) was comforting comfort food. It did what Comfort Food is supposed to do. Remind you of languid nights at the small Formica kitchen table in your Dadi Aman's apartment eating like a Rajah. This bowl of Lentils was as warm and thick as your tongue on a cool first date. The Lentils maintained their Lentil integrity and the Sauce stood on it's own and was not merely a dip from the One Sauce Fits All Vat, which is the bane of many Indian restaurants. Shortly after you tucked into whatever you ordered the house sends out some Mango Pickles. Bitter, sweet, pungent, and hot. This condiment shows Pataks Lime Pickle bottled factory made version how it's done. The hostess swung by and set down a little bowl of Mango Chutney just because she was genuinely friendly, naturally nice and she thought I secretly wanted it. I did. It was Mango Marmalade, unabashedly sweet without being cloying, treacly, or overly sugary. It was just right, provided balance to the spicy food on the table, and was a perfect compliment to add to a spoon of Curry or Dal. Finally, the Baingar Bharta which were chunks of Smoked Eggplant, grilled directly over hot Charcoal and or Honey, let's get engaged close to the open flames on the stove top. Either way this dish was the highlight. A hint of Smoke and redolent of Eggplant. No chewy skin to deal with made this dish pure Eggplant magic. So, "I'm Goa'n back to Yantra" is my mantra.

A group of us came here for lunch on a Saturday, & it was not busy. Hubby & I had Garlic Naan, Samosa, Chicken Biryani & Shrimp Tikka Masala. Everything was fresh & delicious. Portion was generous, & the shrimps were huge. The flavor was not overwhelming like some Indian restaurants. The Mango Lassi was perfectly sweet. Everyone really enjoyed their food, & we had leftover from our entrees. Service was friendly & attentive. The server/owner proactively disclosed their popular dishes & made recommendations. My only complaint is that they wouldn't offer a bowl of rice to each diner. We had to share & finish before more rice was provided. Parking is available in the back.

There's plenty of parking in the back, making it a hassle-free spot to visit. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the rich, inviting aroma of Indian spices, setting the tone for a truly authentic dining experience. The interior is bright, open, and impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, answering all our questions with patience and warmth. We came as a group of friends, ready to indulge in a feast, and the food did not disappoint. Here's what we ordered: Tandoori Prawns: Absolutely delicious--unlike anything I've tried before. Papadi Chaat: A must-have classic! The flavors exploded in my mouth--sweet, spicy, tangy--with a perfect balance of crunchy textures. Pakodas: How could we resist? These vegetable fritters were perfectly crispy, paired with chutney and tamarind sauce that complemented them beautifully. Schezwan Stir-Fry Paneer: A surprising combination for me, but it was delightfully flavorful and satisfying. For the main course, we shared three curries along with naan and rice. The rice was served complimentary--a generous and thoughtful gesture that reflected true Indian hospitality. Baigan Bharta: This eggplant curry was incredibly rich and delicious, with deep, smoky flavors. Lamb Curry: The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked, without any gaminess. The curry itself was flavorful and balanced. Chicken Makhani: Creamy, indulgent, and delicious. The chicken was tender, and the curry was smooth and comforting. Though they have a bar, we opted for mango lassi instead, which was creamy and had the perfect mango flavor. As someone who knows Indian food intimately--having grown up eating it, cooking it, and visiting India often--I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were authentic, bold, and reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Importantly, the food wasn't overly spicy in heat but was rich with layers of complex spices. I strongly advise anyone visiting to avoid adjusting the spice levels, as doing so can take away from the essence of Indian cuisine. We also did try the cheese naan, pairs well with all the curry. This place truly felt like a slice of home for me, and I can't wait to come back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!

Flavor of lemon pepper garlic was lovely and the honey Sriracha had a nice flavor but was little on the salty side for our taste buds. Nice and friendly service from staff that helped up and tables and inside clean.

The wings were definitely the highlight here. * Cambo Asada Fries 4/5 - The fries were good, smothered in cheesy goodness and yummy green sauce. The beef was okay. * Steak Garlic Noodles - Garlic Noodles were 2/5, flavorful but really salty. The steak was 3/5, good flavor, but dry and tough. * Garlic Parmesan Wings 4.5/5 - These wings were juicy, gooey, and garlicky. They were a bit greasy, but still really good. * Sinigang Wings 5/5 - These were my favorite. They were kinda like lemon pepper wings with really good flavor. The flavor may be inspired by Filipino sinigang soup, where the sourness comes from tamarind fruit.

We ended up getting Mango Grahams, Pancit, Siomai and Popcorn Chicken. Before we placed the order, it was communicated clearly from the staff that there would be a wait (there were 3 parties ahead of us, and one of them was huge, so we kinda expected a wait anyways.) We also weren't in a rush and were willing to wait regardless, so that didn't really bother us. The Mango Grahams were exactly and more than we expected; definitely satiated my cravings. The food was also good and arrived in a reasonable manner. Again, we only wanted to check this place out because of the Mango Grahams, but we were surprised at how many other options they had for desserts, appetizers, food, and drinks. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I wouldn't mind the distance knowing the quality and options they have. Also, I briefly looked into this place before driving here, and I was expecting like a quick "boba store" environment, but it also has a sit down ambiance. Great for quick hang outs with friends or sit down meals with your family. Also, I'm specifically writing this review because of the staff. Given how busy they were, I want to recognize how friendly and welcoming they were. There were lots of orders, but they came out in an understandable amount of time, and the person in the front always had a smile of her face. She always communicated clearly and warmly about the waits, and was very accommodating to the customers. I can't wait to go back for more Mango Grahams (and also check out their other menu items!)

They also closed early without notice which threw us off. We got bicol express, sweet and sour pork, pineapple fried rice, longanisa, and lumpia. Bicol Express- Meat was tender. Sauce had a good creaminess to it and just the right amount of heat. Sweet and Sour Pork- The breading on the pork stayed crisp which was lovely. The sauce had a good balance of sweat and tangy. Pineapple Fried Rice- Flavorful rice and the contrast of the pineapple pieces was bright and refreshing. They gave us a generous portion. Longanisa- This was served silog style with garlic rice and fried egg. Longanisa was sweet and meaty and paired well with rhe rice and egg. A breakfast classic you can eat any time of the day. Lumpia- This is always a favorite. Fried to perfection so you get a crisp exterior and a juicy interior. Paired well with sweet chili dipping sauce. Good experience but service could be improved.

Great Indian food in Artesia!…read more Ever since moving to San Jose, I've been craving Indian food when I visit home, and Curry Lounge did not disappoint. We ordered two combo plates, which were more than enough for two people. The portions were generous! The butter chicken was lovely, and it definitely leans into the tomato flavors. However, the two showstoppers for me were the chicken tikka masala and vegetable samosas. They were incredibly flavorful! I also ordered the Masala Chai, which was affordable and tasted authentic. Service was quick and polite. This place is definitely appropriate for a casual lunch or dinner if you're stopping by the Artesia area. Only tough part is finding parking, but the downtown parking lot behind it had technical difficulties when we went, so we parked for free.

The flavor is a bit spicier than I'm used to. The potatoes and peas were fluffy and the outer pastry was flaky with a light crisp. Enjoyed every bite! Came with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. Sadly, the mint chutney tasted a bit funny, like it gone bad. The tamarind chutney was very sweet. I usually eat samomas plain without any chutneys, so it wasn't a problem. The samosas were very good! I would reorder these! PLAIN RICE Not mushy, distinct separation of rice, good texture and it was done well. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA Got this in medium heat, the spicy level was light, just a light hit of spice. I think I could have handled a bit more heat. Overall tomato-based flavor with a bit of creaminess and the chicken were cut bigger, which was nice and moist. There was a bit of smokiness at the end as well. It was delicious with the rice. This was good, but I've had more depth of flavor from other places. LACHHA PARATHA Haven't tried this before. This had light flaky layers. Light in oil flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad, yet I wanted more flakiness and crisp which I did not get. A touch of salt would have been nice too. This was a bit bland. One thing they did not add to my takeout order is utensils. I did see takeout utensils on the way out, so not sure if they want customers adding their own utensils, but it would have been nice if they packed them in your takeout order. CUSTOMER SERVICE Ordered to go via phone. Early afternoon order on a Friday. Called through their number listed on Google. Friendly over the phone and my order were all correct. Order was ready when I arrived. Friendly service all around. Really enjoyed the curry, rice and samosas! Will definitely return to try more curries in the future! PARKING I do not know if there was any parking in the back of the restaurant, but I luckily found street parking close to the restaurant. It seems there is only street parking for most of the restaurants and stores located on that street.
