Had a late lunch with a party of 4 and 2 dogs. We were able to sit outside as we were the only customers there. The server was friendly and fast and listed the house specials and lunch specials. We decided to order the chaat, tikka masala, kashmiri kofta and garlic naan. Each dish was tasty and not hot (ordered mild). The chaat was a new dish that I tried which had crispy balls in a cold yogurt sauce. Was interesting and unexpected but not sure I'd order it again. Overall decent restaurant for a quick lunch.

Good quality food but higher prices and small portions. We came on a Tues afternoon around 2 and we were the only ones in the restaurant. They have a parking lot in back which was nice. They have mostly indoor seating but they have a small outdoor patio that is dog friendly. We got the chaat, tikka masala, kashmiri kofta and garlic naan. I feel like everywhere does chaat a little differently but this was just alright for me. It was the little fried dough balls drenched in a sweet yogurt sauce. A little one note in texture and a bit sweet for me. Tikka was good but standard. Chicken was very tender. Kashmiri kofta was good and the dumplings were a nice size. A ricb, flavorful sauce. Garlic naan was good. Bread was very soft. While naan was extra I did like that they include a bowl of rice with the entrees. Service was friendly and fast.

Delicious food. Amazing service. 10/10 This is my second time dining in and just like the first visit I had a wonderful time. Crispy cauliflower is a mustttt try I loved it!! ALSO VEGGIE BIRIYANI IS SOOOOO GOOD HERE. I love that they add broccoli:-)

What an experience. First time trying Indian food and the recommendations we got were 10/10. Where do I begin? RJ was absolutely amazing and recommended what we ate and we went for it. The music Playing was also very pleasant and had a good vibe. I'm not sure if the gentleman that came out as we ate was the Chef or owner, but he asked if everything was okay. He was so Nice and welcoming. We got mild spicy chicken and lamb plates. Omg it was absolutely delicious. The Garlic bread, likewhoa. That bread was so gooooood. We ordered some to go as well. Thank you for an awesome Food experience. We'll be back soon to try more dishes. 10/10 for sure. Thank You RJ for all you did for us today.

Good date spot for authentic tasting Indian food. There was parking in the back, went on a Sunday around 3:30 and there wasn't many people there. The place looked very nice and clean and greeted through the door (Sandhya), seated immediately. We ordered drinks, (3ea) Chardonnay for the wife and (3ea) Taj Mahal beer for myself, the beer was really good, refreshing. We had the: o Chicken Makhni (butter chicken) - Tender and juicy, the sauce was so good, had to soak it all up with the naan bread. o Garlic naan - Soft, warm and fresh doughy taste, looked right out of the brick oven. o Samosas - fried pillow of dough with meat and veggies, little kick. oCrispy cauliflower - lightly battered and fried, sweet sauce soft and juicy in the middle. o Trio of chicken tikka - Colorful to taste a bit of variety chicken flavors that they had, interesting flavors. I think that last one was the least of my favorites for the order, it was good, but just too much with for what we had ordered already. The waiter Raj was very attentive, and had good feedback on the dishes when asked about them. We ended up staying over an hour and having more drinks because the environment was cool and calm. A wonderful date and dinner for $150 bucks, cant go wrong. We will for sure be going back for more when we get the urge for Indian food. We went 6/1/2025, the following week was craving it again, but life happened. Hopefully we can get back there again soon, appreciate the hospitality Raj!

We kicked things off with the Trio of Chicken Tikka. It's the perfect way to taste the "spectrum" of Indian flavors: * White: Creamy and mild. * Green: Fresh coriander zest. * Red: Classic bold spices. For the mains, the Chicken Makhni is a must-try. The tomato sauce is rich and perfectly seasoned. We paired it with Butter and Garlic Naan--super soft and the ultimate tool for scooping up every last drop of that sauce! Pro Tip: Come early to skip the line. A tad pricier than other Indian eateries, Yantra Kitchen serves delicious food in a more upscale, yet homey environment. Once upon a time, our group of Doctors within borders, celebrated Diwali here for dinner. We had chicken tikka masala, smoked eggplant, delicious naan, and rose lassi. All was wonderful! Good Indian food in a very modern restaurant. There is adequate parking behind (entry from 184th St). The space is very chic and modern, with an outdoor patio. The food is very good and service is okay. We started with Chicken Tikka Masala routine, which was excellent We had the cauliflower and Delhi 6 lamb curry, both of which were good. The Naan was very good. Definitely worth a visit, if you are in the area

Really great and flavorful food. We went on a Tuesday night and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Definitely a more upscale Indian restaurant in Little India but worth checking out. I like that they make an extra effort in plating the dishes. The waiter was nice and restaurant seemed clean. They had the large side window door open so lots of fresh air came into the restaurant, it was a pleasant experience.

This is a moderately fast casual Indian restaurant at the edge of Little India where there are seemingly an infinite number of places to choose from. Look no further. Parking is free in back down a rickshaw narrow alley. Good luck wedging the Duelly into a Compact Car Only space. While it feels like a fast casual spot it took a while to get the Crew up and running or at least trotting, but once everyone came to life Yantra was pleasantly efficient. You'll soon get used to the thumpin' loop and Dream Chaos and Ben Plum instead of the Bollywood version of Kars For Kids is manageable. The Decor is scant and has that dining in the Airport Terminal feel to it, but then you came for the good food and the convenience of being close to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. So, settle in anywhere you like and study the menu. There will be questions. (Pass over the Pizza and Pasta, and stick to the Indian fare) The Staff: Now that you've jump started the Server and the Busser dinner just flows. The friendly, helpful, extended family is at your service. The Food: Surprisingly good. Everything is basically made to order. No 55 gallon drum of Chicken Tikka Masala on simmer and waiting for the ladle here. Let's begin with the Go Goa Coconut Curry which is an ample sample of how well this kitchen can bring it. Boneless, Skinless Chicken in a deep pool of Sauce made with Coconut Milk, Curry Leaves, Ground Spices (Cumin, Coriander, Mustard Seed and Asafaetida which is dried sap from the Ferula Plant tasting of Onion and Garlic). Pick a protein (Chicken, Lamb, Shrimp or a Fish if you wish or maybe a Vegetable instead to grace the Sauce). This dish comes with a mound of Plain White Basmati Rice which is always a good idea if you want it hot hot hot as in Molecular Acid eating through the bowl and the table. The Go Goa Sauce is rich, complex and addictive. I'm no wimp but the medium spice level had my eyebrows, hair, and toes sweating like a borrowed mule in a hurry from the curry. This dish easily made the Gotta Go Back and Have It Again List. So, right now, it's time for some soothing, cooling Raita (Greek Yogurt, Cucumber, Garam Masala) to plop on your almost gone Go Goa. Time to hail Mahi and ask for Garlic Naan to push things around with. Alas, the Naan fell flat. It happens. No puffy pillow to be split and stuffed with stuff. Just take this Naan, roll it up like the Tortilla it resembles, and blot up the nearest Sauce that's played hard to get even if it's on someone else's table. Making friends is nice. Yellow Dal Tadka (Lentils) was comforting comfort food. It did what Comfort Food is supposed to do. Remind you of languid nights at the small Formica kitchen table in your Dadi Aman's apartment eating like a Rajah. This bowl of Lentils was as warm and thick as your tongue on a cool first date. The Lentils maintained their Lentil integrity and the Sauce stood on it's own and was not merely a dip from the One Sauce Fits All Vat, which is the bane of many Indian restaurants. Shortly after you tucked into whatever you ordered the house sends out some Mango Pickles. Bitter, sweet, pungent, and hot. This condiment shows Pataks Lime Pickle bottled factory made version how it's done. The hostess swung by and set down a little bowl of Mango Chutney just because she was genuinely friendly, naturally nice and she thought I secretly wanted it. I did. It was Mango Marmalade, unabashedly sweet without being cloying, treacly, or overly sugary. It was just right, provided balance to the spicy food on the table, and was a perfect compliment to add to a spoon of Curry or Dal. Finally, the Baingar Bharta which were chunks of Smoked Eggplant, grilled directly over hot Charcoal and or Honey, let's get engaged close to the open flames on the stove top. Either way this dish was the highlight. A hint of Smoke and redolent of Eggplant. No chewy skin to deal with made this dish pure Eggplant magic. So, "I'm Goa'n back to Yantra" is my mantra.

A group of us came here for lunch on a Saturday, & it was not busy. Hubby & I had Garlic Naan, Samosa, Chicken Biryani & Shrimp Tikka Masala. Everything was fresh & delicious. Portion was generous, & the shrimps were huge. The flavor was not overwhelming like some Indian restaurants. The Mango Lassi was perfectly sweet. Everyone really enjoyed their food, & we had leftover from our entrees. Service was friendly & attentive. The server/owner proactively disclosed their popular dishes & made recommendations. My only complaint is that they wouldn't offer a bowl of rice to each diner. We had to share & finish before more rice was provided. Parking is available in the back.

Here's what we ordered: Tandoori Prawns: Absolutely delicious--unlike anything I've tried before. Papadi Chaat: A must-have classic! The flavors exploded in my mouth--sweet, spicy, tangy--with a perfect balance of crunchy textures. Pakodas: How could we resist? These vegetable fritters were perfectly crispy, paired with chutney and tamarind sauce that complemented them beautifully. Schezwan Stir-Fry Paneer: A surprising combination for me, but it was delightfully flavorful and satisfying. For the main course, we shared three curries along with naan and rice. The rice was served complimentary--a generous and thoughtful gesture that reflected true Indian hospitality. Baigan Bharta: This eggplant curry was incredibly rich and delicious, with deep, smoky flavors. Lamb Curry: The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked, without any gaminess. The curry itself was flavorful and balanced. Chicken Makhani: Creamy, indulgent, and delicious. The chicken was tender, and the curry was smooth and comforting. Though they have a bar, we opted for mango lassi instead, which was creamy and had the perfect mango flavor. As someone who knows Indian food intimately--having grown up eating it, cooking it, and visiting India often--I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were authentic, bold, and reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Importantly, the food wasn't overly spicy in heat but was rich with layers of complex spices. I strongly advise anyone visiting to avoid adjusting the spice levels, as doing so can take away from the essence of Indian cuisine. We also did try the cheese naan, pairs well with all the curry. This place truly felt like a slice of home for me, and I can't wait to come back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!

Tried lunch as highly recommended by few. Place has good ambiance. Veg Food quality is OK. For no spice guest they provided boiled potato & boiled Dall but could do even a basic Non-Chili spice talla but charged full price of $20 for boiled items. Kadhi Pakodi, Baigan Bharta was average! We went on a Sunday evening and it was packed! That's always a good sign~ they set up a couple make shift tables on the side of the restaurant to make room, so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant, but service was still great. We ordered the garlic naan, malai naan, chicken tikka Marsala, chicken tequila pasta and mango lassi. They were all delicious and the plating was beautiful. We came across this place as we were desperately searching for somewhere to eat at the last minute because we were a few doors down trying to order food at a place that basically had none of their menu items available We were so glad to have found Yantra Kitchen. Was in the area to pick up my outfit from Osheen (5 stars as well) and researched the top restaurants in the area. They had me at Baingan Bhartha (Roasted Eggplant)! It had a bit of a kick to it, but nothing this spice adverse girl couldn't handle. Had to try the Chicken Tikka Masala which was also cooked on the non-spicy side, but oh so flavorful!!! It was a tough decision on whether to order a glass of wine or margarita from their extensive cocktail list, but thoroughly enjoyed the malbec. Not only was the food delicious but the entire waitstaff and owners were so attentive. I would absolutely make another trip to Yantra Kitchen again! read more

Excellent food and excellent service! The dishes are tasty and beautifully plated. The general manager was very welcoming and accommodating. The ambiance is nice as well. The interior is modern and recently renovated. The music selection is on point too. Overall, a great spot for a date night. Personally, I tried the cauliflower bites, the spicy fish, a chicken dish, lamb chops, truffle naan, prawns, and lamb biryani. I'd have to say my two favorites were without a doubt the cauliflower appetizer as well as the fish. The cauliflower paired so well with the variety of sauces. owners daughter reshma doesn't even work there but goes there to eat all the food like a hippo she is a dumb idiot with no knowledge, that needs to go home and watch her kid properly bechara ladaka must be tired of being in shops all day yaar do some type of activity and go outside to a park or something move your big body around lady do some exercise yaar loose some weight it can be beneficial. You must have diabetes already it runs in your family anyways you need to go back to school and try to do something with your pathetic life. Vegetarian options - main courses are better than the appetizers. Chili paneer was enjoyable but other than that nothing from the apps stood out but were all still good. Highlights - vegetarian biryani. I normally don't like the idea of "vegetarian biryani." It's usually just pulao and never worth ordering. Having said that, this was one of the best vegetarian pulao I've had. Very spicy though, beware. Get extra raita if you're not good with spice. All the vegetarian main courses were great. BAD SERVICE!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! We went in few minutes before 6PM and we were the only customers at that time. Staff took our order at exactly 6PM. 39 minutes later our main entree was not out yet. But there was a table with a party of four that came 15 minutes later and got some of their food. 6:44PM we stood up to the cashier wanted to pay for the appetizer and mango drink we consumed. I asked for the manager and nobody came out. But one staff was trying to convince us to stay saying that food is ready. Only at this time 2 staff was coming out of the kitchen carrying our ordered food. We lost our appetite already. Paid for the mango drink and appetizer (we did not even finish). Walked out. About 8 years ago there was an incredible bar/gastropub in Artesia called "Tava Grill & Lounge" next to the Yogurtland on 183rd. This restaurant definitely brings back memories of Tava! I placed an Uber Eats order after seeing some great reviews online around dinner time (and a long day at work- just wanted some delicious food), and this definitely made my night. The vibe of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming, great ambiance, and after Covid finally goes away (oh how I miss happy hours) I can definitely see this place being the hot spot in town. While I was waiting for my food, you could tell they are taking every precaution regarding COVID-19 protocols. I ordered the paapdi chaat and one of the pizzas - and they were both delicious! The paapdi chaat was on par with my mom's homemade version and the pizza took me back to my childhood when my mom and aunties would pizzas from scratch. All in all, a very welcome addition to the Artesia area and very much needed. If this restaurant was in LA the prices would definitely be way higher and there'd be an insane wait time - lucky for us it's right in our "Little India" neighborhood! I was forced to commit to a bill of min of $250, whether I walk in or make reservations. since it is large party of 10. They said it on our face that they make more money on parties of 6 and 4. Quite simply some of the Indian best food that I've had. It's what you want out of a restaurant: consistency. I've never had anything there that I didn't like and Yantra has become my go-to restaurant for when I'm in the area, which is frequently. Added bonus, I asked TJ if they could help with food for our small event and TJ stepped up and enthusiastically helped us plan food, both from on the menu as well as from off where he thought that he may have an idea that would best meet our needs. I have seen good reviews about this restaurant but I had a very bad experience here. I went there on a day of a big Indian festival. The waiter (looked like a young Indian guy with a sleek puffy hair and tucked in shirt!). He didn't say hello or wished us for the festival but asked how many with a sad face. I said for two please. He took us to the outside patio at the front and suggested to take the smallest table ever. When we said how about a bigger table in case we want to order few things to try; and I pointed out to the table next to it where 4 people could sit for a bigger table. The waiter immediately said Umm... what if more people come to sit then we will need that table suggesting that table isn't available, just in case. That was a big disappointment because we really wanted to sit at the front and people watch on a day of a colorful festival. Then he said let me take you to the back patio for a bigger table and we followed. It was a sad lonely area of the restaurant next to the back alley. We were very hungry so we took it. This whole time the waiter's attitude was like he was doing us a big favor. There was no general sense of customer service, excitement, no thank yous or it's my pleasure from him. We kept saying thank you and we appreciate it and in return there was just silence. We felt like we were at a funeral. The food came later but was oily, taste was ok, portions were pretty small. Throughout the stay the waiter came once and asked "all okay" and quickly left. But we could have used refill on drinks and he was nowhere to be found. He clearly didn't like his job. I have not visited a sadder (it's not a real word) restaurant with a waiter who had just come from a funeral and had a bad attitude. Now I know why on a festive day like that this restaurant was empty while all other restaurants were super busy (reason why we ended up here). I will not go to this restaurant again because of the poor service experience and just okay tasting food. Life is too short for bad experiences like this. Thanks read more

In San Francisco they would never have dessert samples at a dim sum place so that was a plus for our group. Tea is around $5 a pot. Potstickers were a hit and so was the beef chow fun. Those were 5/5 The beef jook is a skip, kind of tasted runny like powder and no real flavor with weird small bits of beef that looked like bacon bits. 2/10 Other than that the dim sum was solid amd came out hot and fresh. Same with the Chinese broccoli. Skip the lemon iced tea. Tasted like it was from a packet and it was horrible. 0/10 Would definitely come back for their dim sum though.

It was absolutely delicious, and the 50% sugar level was perfect. It was just sweet enough to bring out the flavors without overpowering the tea itself. The mango and guava notes were a bit subtle, but they paired wonderfully with the delicate oolong tea, creating a refreshing and well balanced drink. The lychee jelly was also a great addition, adding a little extra texture and sweetness with every sip. I'd also say this jelly was softer than the typical jelly I've gotten, which I really liked. The shop can get pretty busy, probably because they really do offer a little bit of everything. Besides drinks, they have a food menu that seemed surprisingly popular during my visit. I saw plenty of people ordering snacks and meals, and everything coming out looked and smelled amazing. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the food for myself next time. The space itself is on the smaller side, so finding a seat during peak hours can be a bit challenging. That said, they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which helps.

The servers dont really check up on you as often but you can easily just flag them down if you need them. The restauant is usually always full, but because people eat fast and service is fast, it is not a long wait time. Portion size is always consistent and large if you get the big bowl. Bathrooms are clean and accessible. Parking lot is small though, so it may be more convenient to park on the lot next to the Filipino market next door and just walk if you can't find any parking.

I think they fry it in olive oil or some oil that's not meant for samosa. Because it stinks and the flavor is awful. The yellow daal was meh so was the Jerra rice and naan. The only got the basmati rice correct. I spent $88 on a lunch no one ate after 1-2 bites. What a waste. I guess I'm used to Kamal Palace where they make really good Indian food. I was giving this place a try and regret it.

I have visited Yantra's Kitchen many times and have mixed feelings about my experiences. While the food is decent, the service is a miss for me. I found one of the servers to be very rude, which made my dining experience uncomfortable. However, the trio of chicken tikka is probably the best dish there, and the chicken biryani is also pretty good. Most of the dishes are decent but overpriced for the quality of the food and overall experience. I did enjoy the chaat masala margarita, which had a unique twist on traditional Indian flavors to a crowd-favorite drink. Likewise, they attempt at a trendy twist to authentic pan-Indian cuisine, which can be hit or miss. The South Asian flavor inspired pizzas were okay. One issue I had was when I ordered a bottle of ginger beer, and they provided me with an opened, half-used bottle. Even though I brought this to their attention, they were adamant that's what I ordered, so I had to settle for it. I found that disgusting and very frustrating, so I became a bit more assertive. They finally gave me a new bottle of ginger beer. It left a bad taste in my mouth, and I hope they can improve their customer service in the future. The restaurant has a chic ambiance, and you can easily make a reservation online through Yelp. However, the place is poorly ventilated, so you may leave smelling like masala. Some people may love this, while others may hate it. Overall, Yantra's Kitchen is a decent place to try out if you're in the area and looking for Indian food, especially if you're new to South Asian cuisine. It may help easing into it a bit easier, because I know it can get overwhelming. Just be prepared for some hit or miss dishes and a subpar service. Though the service negates the positives here, I think Yantra's Kitchen is deserving of 3 stars for its ambition, but its mediocrity in its attempt. read more

My family and I decided to try Yantra in Artesia for a change, as we usually frequent another Indian restaurant in the area. The ambiance at Yantra was lovely--clean, cozy, and not too crowded, likely because we visited after the lunch rush. We were greeted by a friendly server who promptly took our drink and appetizer orders. I enjoyed a delicious mango lassi, while my wife had a glass of wine. The kids absolutely loved the Indian fusion fries, so much so that we had to order a second round! We also tried the aloo gobi, which was flavorful and perfectly spiced. For our entrées, the lamb rangoli was delicious, though there was a slight delay in getting the mango chutney, which meant the dish cooled down a bit. Despite that small hiccup, everything else was fantastic. My son enjoyed his chicken tikka masala, my wife had a delightful vegetarian dish, and my mom savored the butter paneer masala. Even my daughter, who can be a bit picky, enjoyed her plain pasta. The truffle and garlic naans were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Yantra and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine and excellent service. read more

Choosing Yantra for our Sangeet catering was one the best decision we made. We stumbled upon their trendy restaurant in Artesia on a rainy day, seeking shelter from the weather. Little did we know, we were about to taste the most incredible Indian cuisine in Los Angeles. The biryani and chaat blew us away with their flavors and authenticity. The service was outstanding, and Chef Sanjay's passion for food shone through in every bite. Not only did they cater for our event flawlessly, but their prices were unbeatable. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the fish pakora, and the entire menu was exceptional. The Yantra team went above and beyond, providing impeccable service and adding elegant touches to the presentation. Our friends are already planning trips to Artesia just to dine at Yantra again. It was definitely tasty, but much sweeter than expected. We thought it would be stuffed with lentils, but that wasn't the case. Still enjoyable, just not what we had in mind. - Trio of Chicken Tikka (5/5): A definite highlight. Red, green, and white morsels of tandoori chicken breast, marinated in house spices and yogurt--absolutely bursting with flavor. - Ocean King Prawns (4/5): These were tasty and well-seasoned, but we expected them to be a bit more "king-sized." - Chicken Biryani (5/5): Perfectly cooked, moist chicken layered into fragrant, flavorful rice. I organized birthday party at yantra for my son , the service was so good. Service was very friendly and attentive. We had samosa, lamb chop , paneer building blocks,chicken Tikka masala ,Chana Bhatura, michelada was the best drink I have ever had which I highly recommend,, Mango lassi was so so good I just liked the flavor. If I was able to give negative review, I would have. The greeter was so concerned about someone showing up 40 minutes later than serving our party of four. I asked to upgrade the table, which he easily could have done by separating the wooden tables. On top of this, he was super rude. Will never visit again.
