We came in for a late dinner and Michael was our waiter. He is prompt, attentive and provided excellent service. It was a packed house Monday night! It's one of our go to American food we absolutely love! We started with saturated edamame. Super tasty! I ordered the kale & Caesar salad with grilled chicken! Chicken came out moist and so good. Loved this salad. The other meals like the kids chicken strips were also very good.
We arrived around lunch time and were sat right away. Our server Michelle came and took our orders. It took about 10 minutes to our food. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and my friend ordered the Steak Bowl. We both enjoyed our meals. We both were celebrating our birthdays and Michelle was so nice to bring us both complementary desserts. It was a warm cookie brownie with vanilla ice cream on top. It was so good!
I took out of town family to eat lunch and watch the world cup game. Pablo was a great waiter. It's easy to separate bills in the little machine on the table. They have sweet tea so I asked for half sweet and half unsweet. But please, Yardhouse, $4.29 for iced tea? Why? They have a vegetarian burger. I asked Pablo to have them hold the spicy tahini. They didn't. I didn't complain because I had to get back to work. The burger was served with a decent sized green salad and vinaigrette. It was good. Getting a refill for my tea took some time. The restaurant was getting busy because of the game. I had to get up and ask a waitress for the refill. I understand increasing prices due to inflation. But there has to be a limit. $28.16 for a vegetarian burger and iced tea is over the top.
I thought I had reviewed this restaurant, but perhaps not. In any case it won't hurt to review it as I just went a second time and has as enjoyable an experience as I did the first time. The food is quite American. There are some fusion dishes, but all of it is really rather good and priced very reasonably and portions are more than adequate. The service in the two times that I have been there was absolutely superb extremely efficient. The servers are very nice. It is well worth the service experience. It's a very Roomy restaurant and there is an outside patio and it stays open rather light for a dining experience during the week which is a real pleasure. The restaurant is well appointed plenty of room. I just think it's a wonderful restaurant. The next statement is not to reflect on the Restaurant however it is a caution to any diner which is parking is strictly enforced so either be prepared to walk a distance through a very nice area or be prepared to pay for parking. Simply caution.
Yummy! Came here with some coworkers for lunch. We sat outside and it felt so nice, and the patio area was very clean. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Parmesan truffle fries. The fries were phenomenal, but the chicken sandwich wasn't really anything to write home about. There wasn't much flavor and the chicken breast was huge. It was still appetizing nonetheless. We did have a large party, so that may have contributed to the sandwich not being the best. Our waitresses were amazing and so patient with us. Decent experience overall.
I came here twice and I enjoyed the food here. It's a laid back atmosphere with a sports bar feel. Staff very friendly and attentive. Was able to walk in and be seated right away.
This is a great spot to have lunch or enjoy happy hour. It's spacious inside and there's also outside seating. Service was quick yet attentive. Our sever Michelle even gave us a birthday dessert that was so sweet yet unexpected. I tried the steak bowl and the flavors were excellent
Stopped by Yard House with a group of friends around 10pm on a Thursday night. We were just looking for a chill spot for drinks and apps after having dinner earlier, and it hit the spot. Our waitress was very nice and made the experience even better. We ordered the four cheese spinach dip and Miguel's queso -- both were really good. I especially liked that the queso came with flour tortillas as well as chips, which was a nice touch. We also had a couple rounds of amaretto sours, and they were tasty and well made. Overall, Yard House is a Happy Hour go-to for a reason -- it's a solid choice for apps and drinks.
Always the best Whiskey Black Pepper Wings, Chili Garlic Edamame and Poke Nachos! They've also got a great Happy Hour food menu during the day & late night Happy Hour drinks in the evening... Great service from Eduardo on a Wednesday night :)) and the vibe of the place was perfect!-- Lively, but not too crazy, with lots of folks inside having great convos.
Joined a colleague for dinner at the City Centre location. Opted to park in the garage and take the bridge across from the Norris convention center over to the Hotel Sorrel to take the elevator down to avoid the cold weather. Everyone I encountered on the staff along the way were polite and courteous. Be sure to stop by the restroom area near the old Fireside Lounge to take a selfie on their beautiful mural wall to commemorate the evening. At the restaurant, I was greeted at the entrance by the hostess. I was quickly seated, but opted for a different table in a less crowded and quiet area. My request was easily accommodated. We ordered the Rosemary Lemon Drop and a House Margarita. Both were delicious and great portion sizes. For dinner, we chose the garlic noodles, firecracker shrimp, and fish and fries. The garlic noodles were well seasoned, and the shrimp had the perfect amount of batter. They were deep fried yet still soft and crunchy at the same time, tossed in an asian sauce. The fish and fries were a large portion with 3 filets and ample fries. The staff checked on us regularly and was polite and courteous. We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed the music and the vibe. The restrooms were clean and well stocked with the necessities. This is always one of my favorite places to dine. Will definitely come back again.
Short and sweet follow up to my previous reviews. Service and atmosphere: Always spot on in both areas. Food and drinks: Great selection in both categories. Food is always well prepared and presented. Very good flavours and seasoning. We have not been disappointed even once. Pricing: $$ - worth the atmosphere, location and food quality.
We've gone to yard house for a while now, and while the staff and service has always been great the food and restaurant isn't quite what it was. At our last visit the portions were smaller which is fine if the prices followed but of course they didn't. Know where the economy is at we get it. But they really couldn't be bothered with presentation in some cases lol. I ordered birria tacos and the tacos were good but small and the beans were suspiciously similar to what you would get at the grocery store. In a can. Plus the restaurant wasn't clean this last time, I also slipped and fell like 3 times on slippery and dirty floors. I almost felt like I need to break out my old slip resistant shoes from my own restaurant days. I really hope they put some effort into maybe a mini revamp cause I'd hate to see this place turn into a bland franchise

I like yard house, I typically come here when I can't find somewhere else to eat in city center since there's a lot to choose from and the service is always great. I decided to try the tacos for the first time and they were literally the SALTIEST tacos I've ever had. We ordered the blackened shrimp and carne Asada tacos. The beans and rice tasted weird; taste was 1/5. Again, yard house is a good restaurant but they should really consider taking off the tacos off the menu. read more

What can I say... I absolutely loved this place. My first experience here was nothing short of amazing and great eats and drinks. My server David actually made this experience that much better. Extensive menu, does seem a bit asian inspired but has all the options you need to be satisfied. Drinks are BOMB! And environment is cool, lunch or dinner you'll be alright dining here. Food was a 10/10! Absolutely no complaints presentation was a bonus! Drinks were a 10/10 i enjoyed them, no complaints here. Im gonna make this a regular dining spot from now on, ready to try the other menu items! Yard-house got a new regular! read more

So, I heard a lot of things about this place and I had to opportunity to go last night with some friends and family. The place wasn't horrible, but I do believe it has a lot of potential. The institution is located inside CityCentre, a snazzy, urban mixed-used area for shopping, dining, or just lounging. Very beautiful exterior and interior with surrounding restaurants and shopping centers (you unfortunately gotta pay to park here!) For starters, our server Peter was pretty cool. He was a bit slow at times, but I don't blame him too much since we had a large table of 7, and he did well for the number of people he was serving (I'm pretty patient waiting for my food versus other people, as long as it's hot). The drink selection is vast, I am not a beer drinker though. They did have a nice selection of wines, I got the Velvet Devil, a Merlot. Very smooth taste. I order the House Chicken Cheesesteak with Parm Truffle Fries as the side. Looks wise, this thing looked amazing. I wish I could say the same about the taste. The thing about it was, the taste wasn't BAD, but it didn't amount to what I felt like this establishment could deliver. The sandwich tasted like they grabbed some rotisserie chicken from Krogers and slapped it on a hoagie with some white American cheese (should've been provolone, but that's just me!). Don't get me wrong, Kroger's rotisserie chicken goes hard....but not for this setting, I expected way more as far as flavor and substance. I would also compare it to the rotisserie chicken Subway uses for its subs. Grilled chicken would probably do better with this particular item, with a different spice blend. Their parm truffle fries were pretty good, def the highlight of the dish. My lady got their [MAC + CHEESE]² and this particular item is mostly why the review is this low. As I said before, this place has a lot of potential, but that mac and cheese was far from it. The taste was bland and similar to cafeteria food at public schools. I have no clue why anyone would put a mushroom in mac & cheese, but I think you guys might need to go back to the drawing board with that one. I also think the white truffle could be replaced with just regular butter or maybe garlic and herb butter because those flavors were clashing and not really in a good way. I'd also maybe add a wider variety of cheese, because just parmesan....that's more than likely why the white truffle didn't mix well (but then again, I'm sure some people find this dish riveting). Some other forms of cheese added could be gouda and/or smoked cheddar. It's like you guys tried to do a remix on a classic dish and it did not go well at all. I wanted to be as honest as possible with this particular spot because I believe it has great potential. The service was decent, and the food was slightly decent, but that's not what I expected when I walked through their doors. All in all, I'm gonna give these guys another try in the future, but this recent visit was just simply not it. I'd only recommend this place for their drinks as of now! read more

Been to this place a few times for date nights and once for football watching. It's got that feel of an establishment that started as a great concept; expanded rapidly, then became big and is another corporate eating spot in those malls and upscale shopping areas. The good parts of this place is the drink selection, atmosphere, and wait/bar staff. They've got a nice beer list and cocktail menu so finding beverages aren't an issue. I also like the interior of the bar area with the design and convenience of the setup. Allows the staff to operate efficiently with tables and the bar. As for the food.... Im lukewarm on the eats. The truffle fries are decent although it's just fries sprinkled with parsley and a drizzle of truffle oil. The carne asada taco is tasty but expensive at 6.35 for one taco. Thought it was a ripoff based on the size. The wings and nachos, the traditional bar foods are a better value quantity wise. I only order food here if I'm really hungry. Booze and conversations is what I'm here for. read more
My first few visits I thought the food here was alright but I found my favorite go to dish! The cilantro lime chicken!! It's healthy and the portion of the dish is perfect for me. I've only ever ordered the smaller sizes of beer but this time ordered the yard. When the beer came out I was shocked! It lasted me the whole meal. A second round was not needed indeed. The dessert was banana something. The outside batter/cake/bread was dry but the middle where it wasn't was good. read more

I always come during happy hour and the food is good. Happy hour prices are great and you have the option to sit inside or outside. Parking is crazy since it's city centre but not too bad. The service is good, they are quite busy during HH but the waiter checked on me when she could. I come here often for HH and enjoy it. Brussel sprouts are my favorite and the bbq chicken pizza was very tasty. The lemon pepper wings were flavorful, Korean wings (can't remember the flavor) were good as well, very crispy and a lot of flavor. Pepperoni pizza was my daughter's favorite, enough for 2-3 people. read more
I came here because of Veteran's Day offer. Yard House was on top of my list to try when military.com posted freebies for eligible veterans and active duty personnel. I bookmarked it right away. Veteran's Day was on a Wednesday. Weather was perfect after sunset. I parked at the garage where had plenty of parking space. Then, I started walking at Citycentre under the stars, well, more like sparkling tree lights. When I arrived, I saw crowds gathering outside. My heart started pounding hard. Oh oh, should I go to next one on my list or just wait in line. Since I was a solo diner, hostess surprised me with "you ready to sit?" She took me to a patio seat. I looked around and wondered, why everyone looked so young. Ah... older people stayed home during this pandemic. There was a high technology machine on the table that amazed me. Server (Danielle I think) was very professional and friendly. My food arrived pretty quickly. The "machine" kept me busy and not knowing how long I waited. My dish was a little saltier than I'm used to. But that doesn't stop me from coming back. The value and atmosphere are excellent. I shall bring a friend to enjoy lunch after we are back to normal. read more

Yard House is the all in one restaurant. I wasn't sure at first if the restaurant was fine dining or not, this is one of the fanciest sports bars I've ever visited! Great decor, great music, and the restaurant was lively. I visited the restaurant with a few of my buddies and had a swell night out. Our server Victoria helped each, and every person find the right meal to match their palate. I chose the Nashville Hot Chicken & Pancakes (priced at $18.45) and omg THE perfect balance of sweet & spicy!! I'm not a bug fan of spicy food, but WOW this dish changes the game for me. 10/10 recommend for any chicken lovers out there! Ambiance: 12/10 Thoroughly impressed with the restaurant, will be bringing my next date to Yard House! Cuisine: 10/10 Tons and tons of dishes, Yard House has a dish for every craving you're having. Price Range: 7/10 Menu items are a bit pricey, but to be expected for the quality of the restaurant, almost want to call this restaurant high end. Parking: N/A City Centre is surrounded by parking garages. The parking does not relate to this restaurant. Cleanliness: 10/10 constantly saw bussers cleaning tables, this restaurant does not play people. Clean tables!! read more

Fine. Why am I reviewing Yard House? Not really sure. The service was fine (albeit a bit slow because it was packed and I think they were understaffed since it was July 4th weekend). Went out with a few friends, and I am not sure I will ever find an excuse to come back, but I did want to note some of the items we had for anyone who might be interested. (1) The Asian Lettuce Wraps (fine, was advertised as one of their fan favorites, I would say it's probably one of their more interesting and nicer items) (2) Avocado Toast (comes with two toasts... was very large) (3) The Onion ring tower (needs to be shared at least 4 ways... it was huge!) I appreciated the sauces that their dishes came with. read more

Well great food. Only issue it was so HOT inside the restaurant because the door to patio was left open you could not even feel the air conditioner. Definitely just sit outside to avoid being drenched from sweating. Food was good - CLASSIC CHEESE Burger with Sweet Potato fries; Orange Chicken; Spicy Jambalaya with noodles instead of rice, and Chocolate Fudge Cake. read more

So I decided to take sporadic trip to Yard House this afternoon, after going to the location in Dallas I was excited to see how this Houston location would be. The food was amazing as usual, definitely zero complaints I ordered the firecracker shrimp and the 10 piece wing combo, and the both came out in a timely manner. It was not overly expensive compared to other places so that was a + for me. The patio is really big with enough tables as well as inside the restaurant. Good place to come for a solo trip if that's your thing, and a good place to come with a group of people. Bring a jacket it gets kinda cold in there. I would recommend Yard House almost definitely to anyone. read more

Ambiance: Pretty casual. Big enough space to accommodate groups of 10. Huge bar. This is a great spot for families and friends to hangout but it definitely is not a date spot, at least not the first date. Service: Great service! They really made us feel taken care of. Sweet, polite and welcoming. Food: Mediocre at best. We ordered Onion rings tower, Firecracker Shrimp, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Onions rings were bland and soft, sauces offered were bland too. Firecracker Shrimp was sweet, there was not spice at all. Chicken in the sandwich was oily and it had spices on top of it as if they were not absorbed. Only thing good in the sandwich was the spicy sweet slaw in it. My stomach was upset for the rest of the day. read more
The atmosphere and location are both great. Really surprise with all their Asian options as well. For appetizers, I would recommend the Poke Nachos and Queso Dip. Tuna was refreshing and it paired perfectly with the crunchy chips. We also ordered the Cali Roll Stack and it was alright. Entrees-wise, the Korean Ribeye was the highlight of the night. Ribeye was very tender, flavorful, and the chili garlic fries were of the perfect texture. Chewy, crunchy, sweet and umami. My steak bowl was rather disappointing, with chewy steak and too much sauce making the whole bowl very salty. I ordered two whiskey/bourbon cocktails: the Old Fashioned was presentable and decent tasting, but the Espresso Manhattan was watered down and tasted only of sweet coffee. read more
I've been to this location a few times. I really enjoy yard house happy hour. I enjoy a good cheeseburger from time to time and I come here for one of those cravings. I've also had the calamari which is good, nice, seasoned well and crispy. The flatbread pizza was good too. I've had a few things off the happy hour menu and none of it disappointed. Happy hour drinks are good also. So if you're looking to enjoy some bites and wine or other drink with friends, family, or coworkers don't sleep on Yard House. read more

I had the steak and the Mac n cheese... steak was literally.. LITERALLY a 10/10. Asked for it rare, & we got it perfectly cooked. That's hard to come by! The server, not as nice, hardly interacted with us. I get the new ordering system, but just simply not really that nice. read more

Birthday Find (kinda): Free Appetizer. Sign up and check your emails!!! Technically it's not a Birthday find, but it's still awesome. Sign up and get a free appetizer!! See attached images! Parking: Parking was easy today. Generally on Fridays and Saturdays the parking is beyond tough, but not on a Sunday!!! I walked in and was seated right away. I placed my order with ease. You can choose from any appetizer and no purchase is necessary. I'm a bit too early for today's Happy Hour: Mon-Fri 3pm - 6pm Sun-Thur. 9:30pm - 11pm (Drink) Sun-Thur. 9:30pm - Close (Eat) Ambiance: This is a total sports bar. It is amazing. They have a ton of TVs... I mean everywhere you turn and they pipe the audio throughout the entire restaurant! The Food: I ordered the Lobster, Crab, and Artichoke Dip! It was pretty good! The dip comes with both pita and tortilla chips. I prefer the tortilla chips, so thanks for the options YH. I ordered this appetizer because I wanted something different and unique to the restaurant. The real deal on the dip... This genius. The dip is made up of mostly artichokes. There was a taste of Crab and Lobster, but the chunks are not large, soooooo, don't bother looking deep for it. Its slivered somewhere in between the cheese and the artichoke. The dip is well seasoned and tastes like Lobster and Crab, so great job there. The only spoiler alert... please dont go in looking for lumps of crab and lobster, but it is a fancy dish for a sports bar. Altogether, it is a great place. Full of energy and great customer service. I've been coming to Yard House since it opened years ago. It's my family's go to place to eat whenever we're at City Center. Their food have been always good but this time I want to commend their customer service. My brother and I were seated at the patio close to Sweet and we were well accommodated by our server. Minutes later we noticed another guest was being EXTREMELY and UNNECESSARILY RUDE to the same server. I am very proud of him for keeping professional. It takes a lot of patience especially these times that everybody is adjusting to the new norm. Let's not forget to be kind to each other. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! Their food is so delicious and worth every penny! They have such a variety of food for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood for... they will most likely have what you're craving! This is our new regular spot and go here often to dine. I come here pretty often since they have amazing vegetarian options. This time though, I wanted to talk about the time I visited for my Birthday dinner. I have been here so many times and always got the rose refresher. Unfortunately, this is no longer on the menu so I stated buying their mojitos instead. The bourbon drinks are also worth trying if you are into bourbon. Another gem that was amazing but is no longer on their menu is the blackened chicken torta. However, if you ask, they can sometimes make this sandwich. Anyways back to the birthday dinner, we got the Korean flavored gardein wings with my wide array of sauces (ranch, sriracha, sriracha aoili, and garlic aoili). My friends also like getting a side of the Korean sauce to add some more flavor. These wings with a side of the truffle fries is my go-to meal here! We also tried their jambalaya with no beef. It was cooked very well and the sauce made it a very flavorful dish. The portion is quite large so this could be shared. This particular location usually gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights so the wait times can be as long as 45 minutes to an hour. Unfortunately they don't let you make reservations. read more
