The Yard House has become one of our favorite places to take friends and we never see a reason to not return! The indoor/outdoor seating options are great, depending on the weather of course. The wait time to get seated can sometime be awhile on the weekends, but overall not bad. They don't make reservations but do have call ahead options. This is where you can call about 5-10 minutes before arriving and have your name put on the list... it just helps decrease the time you are waiting. But if the wait it going to be awhile just grab the pager and walk around the Village while you wait! The restaurant is always clean and the staff is quick and very friendly. They personalize your experience with a smile and laughter. They also have a great knowledge of their menus and their many drinks available from the bar. Our most favorite reason we take friends though is because they have a HUGE variety of menu options. We all have those picky friends (some WAY pickier than others) and there is something on the menu for everyone. And the customization of menu items is also excellent! Yard House is a fun place to go for date night, and super conveniently placed for a night out being right next to the movie theater. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was the best chicken sandwich I think I've ever eaten! It was very spicy though so don't order it if you're on the wimpier side haha. This is actually a pretty good place to eat. There's a large selection of food to choose from. I would say this is an upscale sports bar. That's reflected in the prices. They have burgers, finger foods, chicken, tacos, and loads of drinks. The food was good. One of our party is celiac and they did a great job of informing her what was and wasn't a good option for ordering. Great staff and the place is immaculately clean. I left very satisfied. read more

I'm rating based on my most recent experience, plus a star because usually it's okay. Saturday afternoon we went for a late lunch. We ordered drinks (after it took a bit to be greeted, but that happens) and after about 10 minutes they arrived. Five minutes later we were checked in and asked to send my drink back as there was food stuck on the bottom of the martini glass and some of that food was floating. A new drink didn't come after about 5 more minutes so we had to flag our waiter down to ask him what was going on. During this time we ordered an appetizer that came with the wrong dippers (chips, tortillas, veges- "dippers" ;) ) and I mentioned the appetizer could stay but could we just have chips- she rudely said no and shuffled it away. I don't like to send food back to the kitchen that I'm still going to be eating- just didn't make sense. But okay. Then finally my clean drink came. When lunch was served we were told our waiter was no longer there and we had a couple different servers take his section. This was a pretty rough experience. I go here a lot but typically sit at the bar with a girlfriend. I was disappointed to say the least. I would have at least expected my first dirty (because of the floating food) martini to be comped but there were no apologies nor recognition for any of the mistakes nor unsanitary issue. My husband and I went here a while ago and had the greatest meal and service! I had the whiskey burger medium well, which gave it a grilled crispy sear. Our waiter Cal recommended it and it was the best cheeseburger I ever had in Boise or anywhere for 20 years! We had other food and drinks, but that whiskey burger was the star. Thanks to Cal and manager Jay Dodson. Cal kept our drinks filled and had a great personality and efficient service style, excellent! Mr. Dodson ran a great restaurant, great staff, very clean, and very nice. I never forget how great they are. We plan to return next time we are near The Village. It was wonderful. read more

A quick lunch at the Yard House in the Meridian Village. Ordered from the lunch menu - 8" margarita pizza -very good except overloaded with garlic cloves (easy to remove). They were short staffed that day and we were still helped very quickly and personally Misty was our server. She was fantastic. The Aviance of the bar was very pleasing. Tonight my husband and I celebrated a very special anniversary! We always think about branching out to a new spot BUT.... We always find our selves back at Yard House! With a reliable menu and a super sweet staff- it's really a no brainer! Poki nachos, regular nachos and kale Cesar is my fave! They have the best happy hour! Highly recommend! The service was horrible, they sat us down and had us wait over 30 minutes to the point where we put the call server on the tablet and they saw it but nobody even came, around 5 different employees walked passed it and we waited an extra 5 mins for someone to come up and even acknowledged us, the attitude of our waitress was awful. She had such negativity and an attitude the whole time, as if your gonna act like that why even work at a food establishment. The food is great and 100% recommend but the service is awful. Today I was the 30th reviewer of Sizzler, which has been in business at that location for decades-- it really shows you how popular of a place this is. Here I will share with you my experience: Where is the door?!? I had a hard time finding the door, but then I noticed that it was near the movie theatre. I wasn't the only one for myself and a stranger chuckled and agreed that since there was more than one of us with the same issue we weren't dorks at all... were we??? One of my besties met me and she texts me asking where the entrance was-- HAHAHA life is cute! Yard House is located in the Village of Meridian. It's right next to the Village Cinema and around many other eateries. When you walk in there is a small narrow area where you walk to the counter for seating. There wasn't much room here and I needed to get by to get to my dining companion as I was the second out of three to arrive. This didn't make too much sense to me because this is the exit, too. When exiting you have to wait for people that are checking in, which is surrounded by the bar (the bar is basically in the middle of the whole place). I chose to walk out the door leading to the outdoor seating and cut through the small fence they had. I sat right by the kitchen which is an open kitchen viewing concept, which I really like. It's interesting to see how they make your food, how hard they work, and how clean or unclean the area is (this was VERY clean). All of the seating appears to be super close to all others, almost as if you're eating with everyone else-- no privacy, which makes private or inappropriate conversations difficult. The staff was friendly and helpful. We laughed together and I asked her to join us, which she said she would if she could lol. Happy hour! M-F 3pm-6pm and late night 9 pm-close S-Th We went for happy hour and they have many appetizers that are half off during happy hour. I had bariatric surgery last year and can't eat much. After about four bites I pushed the plate to the other side of the table. The waitress saw this and came and asked me if I wanted to try something different. I explained that everything was fine and she was bent on making me sure that I was satisfied. I was! We went here on a Saturday evening to celebrate my friend's birthday. Line was fairly long; we had to wait for 30 minutes to get a seat. But the wait was worth it. As appetizer, we ordered fried calamari with spicy tomato sauce and roasted jalapeño tartar. I thought it tasted bland. I ordered one of their House favorites, Southern fried chicken breast with creamed corn, bbq beans, spinach mashed potatoes, and bourbon gravy. It was bomb! The boneless chicken was tasty, and I loved the creamed corn in particular. My friend ordered seared ahi steak sandwich with arugula, tomatoes, caramelized onions, peppercorn aïoli, grilled rye, and fries. I took a small slice and I thought it was delectable. So came here to yard house after a movie which was at 9pm which is there (yardhouse) happy hour but found out that they no longer give you food on happy hour menu only drink. Looking up at bar advertisement it says happy hr for select food and drink when asked the manager looked at us and laughed and walked away after we stated we ordered happy hr drink and food. He would not give us any composition on any thing. He was a joke didnt know how to handle any problem that arose. His name is Tyler He's a joke. I went here last night and I was super impressed with the service. The entire restaurant was packed full and there was two bartenders, but they managed to greet me right away and get me drinks very fast. I was expecting it to take a little long because I aware of the amount of staff they had there. Every time I ordered food or a drink at the table it came out very quick and all of the staff is really nice and cool. I frequent Yardhouse in Vegas often (where I am from) for many reasons and their happy hour ka definitely one of them. I was visiting town and my friend suggested Yardhouse and I happily agreed. This Yardhouse was located at the Village shopping center and was pretty easy to get parking! Maybe I came on a less busier night? I heard it can get pretty busy sometimes. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server who provided us with the menus and showed us the happy hour options, before we even asked! We decidided on the Poke Nachos, BBQ Chicken Pizza and Chicken Tenders with buffalo sauce on the side. As usual, everything was amazing--especially the Poke Nachos! My wife and I went to Yard House in Meridian tonight and were looking forward to a nice dinner out on our first "date night" in some time. We arrived and were seated before promised. Unfortunately, that was where the experience ended. We sat for over 20 minutes and were never even acknowledged by at least 5 servers walking thru the area serving other customers. In desperation, I tried using the "Call Server" button on the tablet at the table and it was summarily ignored. Even the young man that turned out to be the manager walked by 3 times with the light blinking away and he never said a word to us. Eventually we got up and left, expressing our discontent with the front desk personnel. They called the manager over and he offered to reseat us and cover our meal but, at that point, my willingness to continue to wait had expired. Disappointing, to say the least! read more

Love this place, even though I don't drink beer (my loss, they have 150 of them on tap), they do offer a decent wine list, which I am discovering with each visit. We returned there yesterday for lunch & opted for the speedier seating option: the bar. Place was hopping in the middle of the lunch rush. Bartender was friendly & efficient. My Husband and I just moved to Idaho and the yard house was the first place we went to dinner. We went on a Wednesday night at 7:30.. there was no wait and we got seated at a patio table right away. The surrounding area with the waterfall in front of the restaurant made it really nice! To drink I got the Caribbean breeze which was delicious, and my husband tried several different beers, and they have a huge selection so that was a plus for him! For dinner I got the Poke Bowl, and my husband got the Pork Burger. My dinner was very fresh, there was surprisingly a lot of tuna on my dish, and it was a huge portion.. very filling! The staff and service was great too.. we were checked on more often than I can remember being checked on at any restaurant! Bryanna E was our waitress and she was so great and attentive. She came by and told us to pick a free dessert since our food was taking longer than normal (and it was a day before my husbands birthday).. which we didn't even notice!! The manager came by and told us he was waiving two of our drinks off the bill as well due to this.. our dining experience took less than an hour, and we were just enjoying the scenery, so we weren't even concerned with the wait even though it wasn't long! Altogether the food was great, the location is beautiful, the service and gesture we got for our "wait" was just the cherry on top.. and the food is a great value! My husband and I went on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation. We waited about 30-40 min. We were waited on with waters as soon as we had a table. Our waitress was fast, efficient and very friendly. The food was amazing-Cilantro Lime chicken was very tender, juicy and flavorful. Beer battered fish sandwich was crunchy and delicious. The drinks from the bar-patron margarita were made just right. Even though the night was busy, the music was at a good level where I didn't have to yell to talk to my husband.
