This Yard House location is conveniently located in the Rivercenter mall, just beside the Marriott (Rivercenter) location. We came here after watching a late night maybe vie at the AMC. It was perfect timing because of the happy hour that goes from 9pm til closing time at 1am. They offer half off on the food and discounted beer n half yard drinks. It has a vibrant and great atmosphere for kids and adults to enjoy. They were laying 80's music at 10pm on a Sunday night. I like that they serve kid's meals during their late night operation. read more

Yard house is always great. Probably one of the best chain restaurants there are out there. They're owned by Darden so if you have an Olive Garden gift card, put it to use here. I normally would prefer to go to yard house during happy hour, but this time we came during dinner time and we paid for it, bill comes out to much much more. I always order poke nachos as a staple food they have. My favorite item in their menu and next time, I'll just order extra and not share They do have a large variety of food, but not as worth as poke nachos. That's why I go during happy hour since they're half off. read more

It's a real breath of fresh air to see a place fully staffed these days. Like I honestly don't know the last time I saw it but this place was a well oiled machine. I'd imagine it's got good management if people are working as happily and efficiently as they are here. The food was amazing, the service was quick and checking out was super easy on the ziosk thing. Yard House is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite restaurants. Yesterday was nothing short of perfection. Big Shoutout to our server Miriam she was very nice, kind, and patient. She was also very attentive in taking care of our details. Everyone at our table no complaints. The mall area was packed and we were thinking it would take a while to be seated but they almost seated us immediately upon arrival for our big sized party. The restaurant was very clean and tidy as everyone was spread out. Our food was amazing , everything was cooked up to par and especially my sand-which as I knew there would be a great difference between other restaurants. My experience was awesome and I definitely will come back when I am in the San Antonio area. read more

I feel like if a city has a Yard House, odds are high I've eaten there, had friends ask me to meet them there or had a group dinner arranged there. And that's what happened here: group lunch. Yard House impresses me with how quickly they can serve a group and flip a table. It must be why they are in so many convention focused cities. My tacos were tasty and our group left happy in a timely manner. These days that means a lot. read more

Came here during Happy Hour and prices were reasonably good. Love the atmosphere! It was great vibes and cool Texas displays. Service was okay and our food came out pretty quickly. If I could give half a star less, I would but I'll take responsibilty for this one and say it's my fault. I'm one of those people when hungry, I don't read the full details. I automatically assumed that "CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS" was chicken lettuce wrap but it wasn't. It was "TOFU LETTUCE WRAPS" waaaaahhh!!!! All good! Where to start. I stayed at the Marriott rivercenter so Yard house is connected to the hotel. Very convenient. I ate there almost every night so I tried about everything on the menu. All of which is really good. There were only a couple things I probably wouldn't get twice. They real gem of the place are the people. We sat at the bar most of the time and the bartenders there are amazing super friendly and on top of everything. We also had several table sitting and service is always fast and correct. Would be a nice place to take a date ambience is comfortable and not to loud. Highly, highly recommend. read more

We ordered the truffle fries, Orange chicken & Steak bowl. This was our first time & didn't really know what to expect. The orange chicken was SO GOOD. Steak bowl was also very good. Truffle fries tasted like normal fries (wasn't horrible) but the service was lacking. We arrived at 11am & the lunch rush soon followed. Our waiter was working hard & very busy but we only got checked on once after our food arrived. We waited on water refills for a while but overall wasn't a horrible experience. Just try to avoid lunch rush. read more

The food was amazing and came out hot but they have a bird issue. A bird came in their restaurant and they haven't gotten it out yet, it ended up pooping on our table. Luckily it didn't land on anything other than the table, but we did end up moving tables. Everything was good though although the wait was a little bit long. We had friends visiting San Antonio and we wanted to take them out for dinner, and this place said it was on the river walk. When we get there my boyfriend and I decide to get a table while we wait for them, so we asked for a table for 4 by a window. They bring us to their atrium room, but instead of sitting us at the open 4 top by the window they sit us at the 6 top in the middle of the room where we cannot see any of the river, just trees and mall. I was a little annoyed but I wanted to just have a good night so me and my boyfriend sit down. We sat on the same side of the booth because we were meeting people, and the hostess had only brought 2 menus and decided to place the menus across from each other after my boyfriend and I had sat down next to each other. I understand the innocent mistake of only bringing 2 menus and sets of silverware, but if you're going to place them in two different spots the nice thing to do would be to place them in front of the 2 people that are there. We asked for 2 more menus, and they never came. When it came time to ordering the food everything was fine, not good. We got the chicken nachos as an appetizer and it was the highlight of the night. Very big platter, super flavorful, just amazing. When the rest of our food came out it was just fine. My boyfriend expected his burger to be better for the price that it was, and my guest complained the chicken strips were dry. Service sucked and I don't think the food was worth the price. read more

Hand sanitizer available, staff all wear masks and gloves. Wide open space and appropriate seating for everybody. Ordered the carne asada street tacos and they tasted just like a cheeseburger. Really new and nice location, sitting literally above the river/riverwalk next to the Marriott Rivercenter up one level from the river level. Our party of 7 zipped in here for lunch on black Friday and were surprised that there was no wait and they were not busy. Ask to be seated over the river for a great view and a quieter setting. TVs abound, great service. Be sure to get your two free 1 ounce beer samples of your choice. We loved Ace's Pineapple Cider. The turkey burger was juicy, but the sweet potato fries were better. O-rings average. The star was was the Queso. Good Happy Hour but we missed it. ... It's one year later, and this place still turns out great food and drink. We just ordered apps and were extremely satisfied. The Ahi Poke Nachos were uber-flavorful and uniquely crispier than most poke nachos I've had; prob my fav ever. The Grilled Korean BBQ Beef (short ribs) will make a vegan a meat-eater! Great flavor and texture. And the Queso Dip made all smile. I have been to Yard House before and it was always a great time! I have been many times to the Merrick Park location in Miami FL. This time I came to the one in Austin Texas, unfortunately I did not have the same experience. The place was pretty empty and it was very humid inside. The food was good however it lacked that "wow" moment for me like the one in Miami always gives me. I ordered the Kentucky bourbon ale and it was flat. That was extremely disappointing. The truffle fries were very delicious. I also ordered the chicken fried sandwich which was great until I noticed they added the aged white cheddar at the bottom, which in my opinion, was not needed. The service was very nice and she accommodated us with all our request. read more

Service was ok. Waiter didn't seem to know the alcohol menu when we were ordering. The drink tasted mainly like juice and little to no alcohol in it. The food came out in a decent amount of time. The wings are pretty good here everything else we ordered wasn't as good. It's good to go there late at night to just have a drink and an appetizer but don't except the best service. read more

Everything was perfect. Had a small issue with an order management stepped in. Mikey is upmost professional manager. The yard house is lucky to have him. Food was amazing, atmosphere was amazing. Absolutely incredible management here on the Riverwalk. This is my first experience at a yard house I promise it won't be my last. The first night in town was a rough and I just wanted some great food so I found Yard House. I had to pay $15 for parking, but the atmosphere was nice and the food was great. The spice level on a scale of 1 to 5 felt like a 2 to me, but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it even though it was spicy. The second night I ordered curbside pickup and just ate at my hotel. If you love Cajun or Creole dishes, the spicy jambalaya is perfect for you. read more

Came here for dinner with my family. Being a visitor to San Antonio, location was easy to locate but a little confusing to find in the building. It is located on the second floor. We arrived about 6:30ish and got seated within 10 minutes. Our server was not only friendly but he was very attentive. The food was delicious. Everything came out on time and accurate. As we were leaving, the waiting area was packed!!! So glad we came at a decent time and did not have to wait. But with the service and experience we had... I would have definitely waited for a seat if I had to. read more

When going to this establishment DO NOT ASK FOR WES. From the moment we sat down he gave us a I don't give a f*** attitude. We understood the kitchen was closing soon so we were prepared to give him our complete order. . Not only was he very cold with the whole interaction but our apps and entrees hit the table before our drinks. We never got any app plates, struggled to get refills on our waters and my truffle fries were cold. Brought it to his attention that they didn't taste fresh and he didn't do anything about them. . By the time our entrees came out our drinks were sitting at the bar, like we were literally sitting next to the service well watching the drink we ordered die. . I as a customer had to take it upon myself to go to the bartender and ask if that was our drink and it was, I had to run my own drink to my table. Tristian was the bartender that night and I'm sure he remembers the interaction. . Around 12:55 ish, wes came up to us to let us know we had to be paid out before 1 am... I eat here a lot and know that they do last call around 1:15 ish am. Truthfully it looked like he was just trying to get out early and was upset he got sat last, but as a worker in the industry, you sign up for the job and food service doesn't have a set out time. Because he was impatient. He gave us our checks, and left as soon as he could. It felt like a slap in the face because he knew we had a horrible time and for him to walk by our table with his personal belongings and say bye guys felt like a slap in the face. We never got our boxes. . It must have been her first day because she asked who was together after and then lost my friends card and said she never gave it to her! Then after we asked for the manager she gave major attitude over HER MISTAKE!!!!! The manager Taylor wasn't that much helpful either. She didn't even attempt to look for it or apologize , you work in customer service. We were there for a birthday celebration and she ruined it!!!!! Second or third time visiting this location. Wonderful service. The location was great for me and my family who were staying at the Marriott nearby. I am not completely familiar with their menu. I have had their ribs which were good and the year before their burger which was also good. The waiter seemed attentive. The only thing I did not like is if you are coming from the mall you have to walk through the entire restaurant to the other side of the restaurant to check in to get seated. It wasn't a huge issue when we let someone know we wanted to be seated they explained this us. However, it would have been much more pleasant had they been set up to help the people coming from both the mall side and street side of the restaurant. read more

Tacky servers.... I was bombarded with 3 girls all asking me if I need anything. Yes I need a minute to open my menu. Order the French onion soup and the waitress drops the check in my face like I'm some sort of joke. I walked out before my food arrived due to a ruined appetite. Then some grown man asks if I took my lithium.....wow never been more insulted. Let's just say that this place won't be around too much longer. Way too many menu items. Unfortunately, we couldn't indulge in cocktails (during the work day) but the food itself was worth the trip. Our server was very friendly & we were sat in a quieter spot. I ordered the Bonham Brisket Grilled Cheese, a sandwich consisting of slow-cooked brisket and mutiple slices of melted cheese between locally made sourdough bread. (side note: Bonham refers to James Butler Bonham, a brave officer and courier who gave his life at the battle of the Alamo) The sandwich was stuffed with super-tender brisket. The brisket wasn't smoked and had mild flavor, overpowered by the cheese. I used a provided side of fantastic barbecue sauce to kick it up (and also to dip my fries in). The bread of the sandwich was nicely grilled and delicious, definitely greasy (as expected!). I enjoyed it and it filled me up. It's a great place to get some food, especially when visiting the Alamo.
