Yellow Kitchen in Waikele Outlet mall is easy to spot because of its sunshine-y color and cute decorations. The staff are sunshine-y in demeanor to match! The business has outdoor seating available with umbrellas for shade. Trash cans nearby. Parking is free and you can park as closely as you'd like. The staff is super friendly! The food came out quickly but not too quickly where you wonder about the freshness of the food. I ordered the spicy squid (level spicy). It came with perfectly cooked white short grain rice, squid w/ onions and zucchini, some sort of cabbage slaw as well as a few bites of Mac salad and kimchi. The banchan was a bit lackluster for me but the squid was delicious! Spicy, sweet. Not rubbery but with a delightful chew. The plate coat $17.50. This business accepts cards and cash. Overall, I'd come back to try different dishes to support lovely and hardworking locals such as the ones at Yellow Kitchen.

    Kalbi plate.

No clue why it's not more popular! Food good. (Most important) - Good portions...if you're worried...for a reasonable price. The selection of food is great. It left me filling full without being stuffed or sleepy. (I tend to eat A LOT fyi) The Kalbi I ate was really savory! Not sure if I've had a better Kalbi before?... and the rice really allowed the meat to be more savory. The Owners care! - I was struggling with chopsticks, so the owner actually noticed and gave me a fork!! (Im a disgrace lol). She even offered extra kimchi because she noticed I finished mine pretty quick! Those are things that make me want to come back to a food place. Very kind people! Ambiance. A little bit of flies going around but it's not too much of an issue. There's other food trucks surrounding this one which gives a variety of selection next to a shopping outlet. Overall nice lil grub spot. I'm coming back here once I come back to Hawaii!

Tried the spicy squid and surprisingly loved it. The flavor of the sauce was sweet and spicy, it was perfect with the rice. I wished they gave a bigger portion for the sides that came with the plate. All in all I will be coming back for more

Great little food truck located in the outlet mall area along the fence in a shaded area with picnic tables and umbrellas. They have a great looking menu with different plate lunch options. The Stir Fried Chop Steak didn't look like the picture at all, however it was pretty tasty and fed both of us easily. The one plate and bottles of water fed us for under $20.00. Staff was friendly and food was hot and freshly cooked. We would go back in the future and try a different plate.

One of Korean food truck in Waikele. It's a yellow truck. Two ladies were cooking and taking orders. I ordered spicy squid and Kalbi plate. It was $30 for both. I was watching how they cook. And reminds me my mom was cooking at home and smells so good. I waited like 20min. The portion was not too small not too big. Taste so good especially Mac salad taste like my homemade!! Definitely I come back for Meat Jun. 4stars because they don't have order number so I was confused which order was mine.

    Quaint fishpond.

It's a quaint food truck. Makes you feel like you're on a field trip. There's a mini fish pond to observe and a mini garden to enjoy as you wait for your order. The meat Jun had a good taste, good portion size, the meat was a bit too thin for my liking. The Kim chi looked spicy, although it wasn't. Thank goodness, as this is the first time I've tried in, even though I've lived here all of my life.

Yellow Kitchen food truck is open everyday! Located in Waikele Outlets, on the side of Coach, along side other food trucks. The theme was well thought out. A bright yellow truck with garden decor. Really cute and inviting. There's tables and chairs located on either side of the truck if you choose to eat your meal there. I received fast and excellent service from the friendly ladies who runs it. I ordered a Black Bean Udon and Meat Jun. The meat jun was cooked perfectly. It has taste, but unfortunately not enough. The sides were really good. The Udon was soft and chewy, with pieces of meat and onions mixed in. It was flavorful. I liked that there is a scoop of rice to mix into any remaining sauce from the noodles. If I'm ever shopping on this side. I would come back to try them again!

The service was pretty fast and as soon as I saw the black bean noodles in the menu i knew I had to try it. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the jajangmyeon plate here. It lacked the depth of flavor from other places and the few pieces of pork in it was tough. I would come back again and try other dishes next time.

Really amazing Korean food and reasonably priced. I'm addicted to their Kim chee fried rice and spicy pork.

We were given a regular menu and a single sheet with Lunch Combos. Three of us decided upon a two choice lunch combo with different choices. One wanted cold noodles. Our jaws literally dropped in awe as the first plate arrived with vegetable tempura and bbq pork. It was humongous!!! My meat Jun and zucchini was pretty huge as well. The person who ordered kalbi with another choice paid $3+ extra for the kalbi selection. We all remarked how delicious our meals were and we all took left overs home. The servers are friendly, refill your water and don't chase you out after you paid the bill. We hadn't all met together since Covid so we had lots to catch up on. You will need to ask for a key to use the outside restroom. The interior furniture and menus show they've been in use for quite some time. If you don't mind that, the food alone is worth coming for or you could order take out.

Local Korean restaurant with ginormous portions!…read more We got the 2-choice lunch plates with meat jun, fried mandoo, vegetable tempura, and tonkatsu. Very affordable price especially given the huge size! The veggie in the tempura seemed to be more raw so it wasn't our favorite. The tonkatsu was interesting as it was very thin. The meat jun and mandoo were good. Banchan and a small bowl of seaweed soup is included! They were busy but service was fast and great! Small cute local restaurant vibes.

Takeout lunch from Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawaii…read more.. I was shopping at Waikele Premium Outlets when I realized that I hadn't had lunch yet. I had driven past Y'kele Korean BBQ and thought that I should give them a try... Located across the street from the outlets, the Waikele Center has many restaurants such as Restaurant Kunio, Panda Express, Subway, Chili's, and McDonald's. There's a lot of free shared parking, but it can get crowded at times. The interior is clean, bright, and air-conditioned. There are many tables and chairs for dining in. Service was pleasant and efficient. I ordered and paid at the counter, then took a seat. In no time my meal was ready. I was so hungry that I took a picture quickly and then started eating. There was so much food that I took the rest home. I got the Y'kele special: BBQ chicken, kalbi, and BBQ beef. It came with four sides. I chose tofu, corn, choi sum and seaweed. Everything was delicious! I'd return because it's convenient, tasty, and satisfying!

When we arrived the place was completely empty so we decided to eat inside. The front staff was…read morereally nice and immediately greeted us and took our order. After picking his sides, my husband went to sit down at a table while I took care of the payment. Unfortunately, they swiped my bank card multiple times saying it's reading error. They asked if I had cash, which I did, and I was able to pay for our food. Something didn't right with me after I paid so I told my husband to check our bank account and make sure multiple payments wasn't withdrawn from our account. Just as I thought, the payments went through and was deducted from my account. I immediately took my husband's phone up to the counter and showed them my account, verifying that the payments were withdrawn. There was also another customer standing at the counter with the same issue. The cashier was really nice about the whole situation and immediate issued a refund to both myself and the other customer. I ordered the Bi Bim Kook Soo and my husband ordered the Kalbi and BBQ chicken combo plate. The Bi Bim Kook Soo was huge and I couldn't even eat half of it. The BBQ beef was a little tough and not as flavorful as the vegetables. The noodles, sauce and vegetables mixed together were really delicious though. It had a nice sesame flavor to it. My husband had the BBQ chicken and Kalbi mixed plate, and thought it was okay. He said it wasn't as flavorful as it was before. If you eat at this restaurant, please make sure you check your credit card or bank card if you're told there was an error with your payment method.
