Yum Yum is and as always been our favorite donut place. We have been to so many donut shops, from cheap to super expensive and Yum Yum always wins. We especially love this one because sometimes they make special donuts that you don't find at other Yum Yums. The service is so kind and you can tell that the employees actually care about you. The donuts are always fresh and they also have sandwiches and super coffee. The place is always clean and stocked with a great variety of donuts. It is just so so good. We always get the 14 donuts to go for the price of 12. Their prices are fair. You have to try it. read more

Came late expecting no one to be there. There was a line of 7 people. I patiently waited as the one worker made sandwiches & worked the cash register. Then I noticed there were two other workers. These ladies know their donuts and they take a unique pride in their work. There is always some experimental or unique pastry they offer every time I'm in there. The place is clean and the donuts are fresh, with a well-stocked variety every time. I work nearby and stop by twice a week for a couple dozen for several years now. They never disappoint. I drive by here on my way to work every morning and stop in once a week to pick up something for myself and my coworkers. At 4 a.m. the display case is pretty well stocked. Unfortunately, at the early hour what they don't have are apple fritters, which are my absolute favorite. They aren't ready until a little later in the morning. I have had their apple fritters before and they are the bomb! The donuts are always fresh. Nice and fluffy on the inside. Never dry or stale. My favorites are the old fashioned with chocolate or maple. I've also had their specialty donuts topped with Oreos or chocolate chips or crushed candy bars. Currently, they have one topped with candy corn for Halloween. I'll have to try that one next week. Their muffins are also very good as are their croissants, bagels, and donut holes. The store is very clean and the people that work here are very friendly. They have a smile on their face even at 4 a.m. There is a small parking lot in front as well as street parking. read more

It's a complete shame when you go get breakfast in the morning and you go out of your way to a spot that hasn't failed you before but now since the pandemic the quality and customer service has taken a turn for the worse. I ordered this morning 2 garlic and cheese Sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a large iced coffee with vanilla flavoring for me and a coworker. I put the food in my car and I headed to work! I get to work in about eight minutes and I'm so hungry I dig in and I feel the bread hard, the food did not smell satisfactory. I take a huge gulp of the ice coffee and I nearly spit it out... they put so much ice in already PRE-MADE coffee and it just took away from all the flavor! They added vanilla syrup and half and half and it only made it worse in my opinion! I ask my friend how he feels and his opinion is the same! I call the store and speak to Marcela Lopez and tell her the food tasted horrible and I would like a refund. This is where it gets FUNNY! I speak to one person and tell her the situation, she then hands the phone to someone else. That person then tells me well, you waited 8 mins to eat your food... WTF?! What, I'm supposed to inhale my food the moment I get it? Is she telling me the food would've tasted better if I had eaten it 8 mins sooner?? Are you for fucking real?? She then goes on to tell us that she wants us to bring the food BACK, and show her the food!! I can't leave work to just appease this woman! I spent $20 on food that isn't even edible! It's sad, I had to go to McDonald's to have breakfast instead! What has this world come to?! And the best part??? I waited 15 MINUTES to eat my McDonald's and it was still HOT AND FRESH! I really like their donuts. They're not too sweet which is best for me. Also they're not too soft like other donut places. I tried the chocolate peanut donut and chocolate cake donut. The former was perfect in terms of sweetness and firmness of the dough. The latter wasn't sweet at all, it was like eating a chocolate bread that wasn't sweet. Each donut was $1.29, which I thought should be $1 lol... but they're open 24 hours. So I guess it makes up for it. Not so many selections but they're solid so far. Coffee and the bagel with cream cheese is good. Nice that they have a creamer bar for coffee. Donuts are overpriced and it cost over a dollar just to add cream cheese to the bagel. Tables and chairs were all dirty and the floor was gross. They had Hispanic television playing which may be annoying if you don't speak or understand Spanish. read more

I visited this location on March 1 at around 1 PM the location was not very busy at all there was two other customers present in the store when I came in with my husband the worker who's name was Evelyn asked us what we like to order immediately after we walked in we took a moment to look at the selection of donuts that were available to us however we noticed that there were no glaze donuts in the display case. I guess we didn't respond fast enough for her so she decided to tell the next customer behind us in Spanish that we were not ready and she was available to assist her which was very rude and disrespectful one reason is because why would you speak Spanish about the previous customers assuming that they don't understand the language. Lucky for her I am Puerto Rican and can speak Speak and understand Spanish as well so I understood exactly what she said I found it to be very rude and disrespectful that she would assume because of the color of my skin that I don't speak Spanish. I am not a racist person and don't like to be placed in situations where a person can look at the color of my skin and assume what nationality I am. I didn't told her that we were ready and I understood exactly what was being said she proceeded to assist us overall I will not return to this location I am not about racism and I will not patronize a business that is. read more

I first ate yum yum 25 yrs ago in Stockton Ca. I grew up in a small town so it was always a treat to head up that way because I knew Yum Yum was coming! I was beyond thrilled to find that they had locations in Los Angeles as well. This location is next to Kaiser Permanente so I think they've contributed to at least 10 lbs of weight gain during both my pregnancy's, I'm not complaining...so worth it! My 17 year old son was waiting to order and the female employee there said to the male employee in Spanish "Are you going to serve this fag?" My son is white. What they didn't know is that he has had 11 years of Spanish in school, 3 years of them being honors classes (And of course has learned all the slang and curse words from his friends) He took the high road and didn't say anything, but he did proceed to order in Spanish. Horrible. I mean horrible customer service. No greeting to any of the customers. The girl left me waiting at the counter for a while knowing damn well there was a customer waiting there. Didn't even say "Hi, I'll be right there." Nothing. I finally had to ask if there was anyone else available to help. She came over to get my order and just had the worst attitude. You could tell she absolutely hated being there and hated her job. There was another lady there as well and she too didn't offer any assistance to help in any way. More customers kept coming in. If you live in Los Angeles, you've probably driven by Yum Yum Donuts about a thousand times heading up Highland or La Cienega by the 10. You see a happy face licking his lips and wonder...just how Yum Yum are Yum Yum Donuts really? Probably pretty gross.. Actually, surprisingly Yummy! This weekend friends delighted us by bringing over a large box of beautiful doughnuts and, as is my job, I had one of each. Over all, the doughnuts are fresh and fluffy, with the exception of the old-fashion glazed, which was appropriately saturated, sweet, and dense. I would have enjoyed custard filling in the maple glazed bar (which is an all-time fave from childhood) and I felt a bit ill after eating them, which made me want to dock points.
