The coffee is strong, the inside location is super cute and the staff friendly. Only reason for the 4 stars is I ended up paying over $7 for a cold brew coffee with oat milk which I felt was a little overpriced for the coffee. The drive thru was super busy but I went in and the coffee I ordered was ready in 10 minutes. read more

The Rose Cardamom Latte at Zebra House Coffee is delicious! The flavors are so fresh and well balanced! I love when I find a rose or cardamom flavor that tastes real and authentic (not fake or overdone). This place was packed on a Monday morning around 8am. Cars were lined up around the building and parked in the parking lot waiting for their orders. Luckily we ordered online ahead of time and didn't have to wait in that mayhem. Got oatmilk lattes, burritos and avocado toast. Cute little coffee shop with a drive through and walk in option, right off the highway which makes it a perfect option while passing through the area. Early morning passing through we had a long day ahead and stopped here. Service was very nice, coffee came out very quickly, I just did not love it. My husband had a latte, I had a mocha, both hot, kind of small and pricey for what you get. Both tasted a bit burnt, not much other flavor other than the bitterness of the coffee. While it did do the job and I really liked how fast and friendly they were, cash only is a pain and taste wise I would not bother to return. read more

This coffee place is just off the freeway in San Clemente which is perfect put stop on my road trip to SD. I was expecting a small mom & pop shop that would be fairly empty & quite. Nope, this place was popping at 9am, especially the drive thru! This particular trip I got the pumpkin cinnamon muffin, a glorious morning muffin, and a dark roast. Great coffee! I was very surprised at how delicious the Pumpkin Muffin was, considering it was gluten-free. I couldn't even tell. The Glorious Monring Muffin sounded very healthy, but don't let that scare you away; it was very delicious. All in all a great coffee spot! read more

Nice little coffee shop in San Clemente with enough space to do some work and good coffee. We stopped in while visiting to do some work and enjoyed this little cafe. There isn't a TON of seating but seemed like everyone was able to find a seat. They have some seating outside and it seems like the drive thru is pretty hopping. They have 2 hours of free WiFi and then I think you have to pay. Their coffee was really good and they have a really awesome variety of pastries. I tried their coconut pumpkin muffin which was great! Their staff was very friendly and helpful and considering they were super super busy this was much appreciated. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! read more

This might be a long review , so settle back and get comfortable as i have a lot to say. i've been going here for at least 10 years. it has never disappointed me. my typical order would be 2 rose iced teas, and a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. the service is always in question. most of the time it's sweet young girls who are helping me, but sometimes it's others who aren't sweet in the slightest. back to the muffin , just recently i had asked a worker about why sometimes the muffins were delicious and moist, and other times they were as dry as a rock. (i've seen complaints about this same problem as well, even with other muffins, which is disappointing to hear.) the sweet lady at the window told me "well sometimes we have a different baker prepare those. we've gotten complaints and she is now aware." i've only gotten 4 bad muffins, others are always pleasant , but i still felt the need to add it in. the ambiance can't be complained about. it's a fun , almost "zoo" twist on an inspirational wooden coffee house. usually not too loud, so it's perfect for getting school or job work done there while grabbing a drink. i've never actually had any of their food besides small ones like the muffins, so i can't comment about that. i appreciate the place overall, and hope they can grow from the "mistakes" they have occurred recently. read more

I was driving down to SD after a heavy lunch and started to feel my eyes get heavier and heavier to the point that my driving was being compromised. Luckily, I was only a mile or two from Zebra Coffee and decided to take a quick (only a couple minutes from the freeway exit) detour to grab a coffee to aid the remainder of my drive. I love supporting local brand shops as opposed to bigger name coffee, so I was happy to see a name I didn't recognize. Once I pulled up I noticed the convenient drive through around the back of the cute shop. I pulled up and was a little confused to find no coffee menu posted outside. I was tempted to look at recommended drinks on Yelp but the barista was quick to pop out of the window to take my order. I asked him what sweet coffee drinks they had and he listed off a pecan flavor roast. I was thinking more of a specialty latte rather than a flavored black, so I don't think he quite understood my intentions when asking for a recommendation. I said I would want more of a latte type drink and he listed off the syrup options they had. I decided to go safe with an iced vanilla latte with soy milk. They asked me to pull around in front of the shop so that they could help the next customer in the drive through line. As I waited outside I was super tempted to hop in and look around. It seemed as though the spot would be a nice place to study. From what I could see they had some outdoor seats available in addition to a good sized interior, which I assume has seating! A barista brought my drink out to me and handed it to me through my window. All in all, it was a good and easy experience and I would be excited to come again when I have more time to spare to actually go inside and see their full menu and enjoy the space! read more

The black coffee is almost always sour and bitter. A place I actually like because it's a quick drive thru to and from early morning surf sessions. Unfortunately terrible coffee and you'll never know because most people mask it with cream, milk and sugar. Upsetting coffee shops can't make a good cup of black coffee, caused by stale/bad beans that can be roasted poorly, gross. read more

Bummed to leave such a poor review for this place, had such high hopes....ordered a dirty iced chai with almond milk.....large...came in a small cup with legitimately half ice. Poured it out into another cup and MAYBE 8oz total beverage? MAYBE. Anyways, was charged $9.36 for it. Crazy disappointment. That's highway robbery. They must charge $2 for ice or something crazy. Zebra House is my go-to coffee spot. Their iced coffee is great but their iced dirty chai is the best around. They also have breakfast options if you're looking for a quick and simple bite: GF muffins, homemade muffins, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, etc. The drive thru is especially convenient if there is no line - if there is a line, go inside. It'll be MUCH faster. The girls at Zebra are always so sweet and friendly. I can't say anything bad about this place. Support local businesses! read more
