My boyfriend wanted to try this place since he loves fish and chips. He ordered the special fish dish with 2 pcs of fish and I got the shrimp special with 6 pcs of shrimp. The fish was pretty good. The batter wasn't flavored much and the tartar sauce was ok. I did enjoy the shrimp and the cocktail sauce it came with. It was also a good amount of fries and it came with 2 hush puppies. Overall pretty good. Just felt like too much fried food in the end.

It's been a while since I have eaten at Zeke's and the food has not changed one bit. My favorite is the cod but they do offer catfish and a whole lot of other options. They have cold drinks and beer that you can order by the pitcher. Hush puppies are on point! Wait staff is friendly and always helpful to make sure you have enough tartar sauce and dill sauce for you fried veggies or fried mushrooms. This place has a wholesome laid back vide that play classic rock while you eat.

The food was great! It was my husband's and I first time ever at zeke's and we're definitely going back there for more. Hush puppies are so good and so are the fried mushrooms! Literally something I know I would crave forfood comes out fresh since our mouths were burning trying to eat our food! service was great! People there were so nice! Literally smiles as soon as you walk inthe place felt comfortable to eat in and felt like home to me. Definitely check it out if you haven't and if you guys go back there all the time? Now I understand why!‍

Place is legendary for Fish & Chips. It's a must stop for us when in area, there no place by us this good. It's small, counter ordering with table service after order. There is some space outside, restroom is shared with employees and small.

    Excellent Cole slaw and hushpuppies.

What a great visit to a Fort Worth institution that has been around for decades. Zeke's is one of the oldest restaurants in Fort Worth. If you want fish and chips, Zeke's is the place to go. Zeke's is old school with the malt vinegar on the table. My wife is not a big fish fan, so she ordered one of Zeke's phenomenal chicken salad sandwiches. They're known for preparing delicious chicken salad. With my fish and shrimp combo, I started with a bowl of perfectly prepared Cole slaw. Both of our entrees, my fish and shrimp and my wife's chicken salad sandwich were so delicious. It was great dining at Zeke's. We hadn't been there in quite a while, we'll have to return again soon.

Small hole in the wall but the food was great! Made to order! We shared the tacos (one each of cod, cat, and shrimp) - the tacos were gone before I could take a photo Then we shared a few of the combo baskets with catfish and shrimp, and those came with sides so we sampled - salad, fried mushrooms, corn nuggets, clam chowder, gumbo, dirty rice, and hush puppies! My only complaint was that we ordered 2 catfish and 1 cod combo and ended up with 3 catfish. We didn't realize until we stated eating so didn't speak up. Very good value for the amount of food we got. The combo special is a great deal...Would go back for the tacos for sure!

Fish was moist and delicious. I had the blackened redfish that was covered in crawfish étouffée and served over a bed of dirty rice. Incredible! Included was a side of the fried okra that was so dang good. Not the typical breaded deep-fried, it was more like pan fried. Do not pass on the banana pudding! Sat quickly, the overall vibe of the location is fine, It's sort of giving the PE cookie cutter restaurant vibe, but it was clean and well put together so I'm really just being picky. I ordered the Tricky Fish (blackened). Presentation was good, the fish was cooked beautifully, the étouffée was a nice touch and the dirty rice was legitimately very good. The one big detractor was that everything on the plate was over salted. Service was good. Waiter was attentive and polite, food came out quickly. Overall, I'd come back, but it's not the top of my list.

But regardless of this she never lost her smile & pleasant demeanor. We were giving her some sympathy but she reassured us that she was fine & that this was just a part of her job. My late grandmother was a superb country cook and her name was Maggie. Good omen! We got there about 11:45 and got a table right away. Our server was Devin and she was terrific. We split the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The portion that they brought out was gigantic....plenty for two average appetites. What I really liked about it was - it was not over-breaded and it was fork-tender. (in my humble opinion, too many places are giving you a lot more breading that doesn't have meat under it. Yes, it's a first-world problem.) The mashed potatoes were also quite good, along with the cream gravy. I'm not a huge green bean fan, but my wife really liked them. We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.
