Full disclosure, I had no idea what zippies was. I made up a story in my head that it was pretty much a different kind of Denny's. I was absolutely wrong. Think of this place as a high-end Hawaiian barbecue place. Looking at the menu they have great items to eat. Pretty much the same thing that you would find on a wine barbecue menu, except upscale. I opted for the Korean fried Chicken which came on a plate with two scoop rice and one scoop. Mac salad. Okay, I got to tell you, the Mac salad is absolutely off the chart! I don't normally go from Mac salad but when I'm at a Hawaiian barbecue place I absolutely am all about it. My girlfriend had the chicken katsu which also came with two scoop rice, one scoop, Mac salad. And a really great katsie sauce. It too was very delicious, crunchy and hot as it should be. The service was okay, it wasn't spectacular. It was just okay. On the way out, you have to stop at the bakery section. Just looking through the glass of those cakes. I probably gained 30 lb. But I'll tell you what. We couldn't help but take a few of the pastries home with us. Everything there is amazing. They have a good loyalty club which gives you points for every dollar you spend and you get a free chili and rice just for signing up. Zippy's and you like one barbecue food in an upscale fashion. This is a place to go! We'll definitely be going back to try other items on the menu, it gives you that Hawaiian barbecue feeling if you don't feel like taking a styrofoam box home with you.

Zippy's what's this ! We had to stop by and see what's happening! Zippy's is a diner in Hawaii! It's mainly Hawaiian style and themed food too! You can take it to go or eat it here. The restaurant is pretty large. It has a main dining area and a comfortable dining area for awaiting your order . The food is excellent! If you are seeking an education in Hawaiian cuisine let's talk and discuss. They offer many options for all sorts of different types of food choices. It's a great way to learn something new. Order it and just enjoy! They offer a bakery too . Some of the bakery items are really authentic to the experience of Hawaiian cuisine. You have to try the mala bread . These are a staple in Hawaii! Mmmm! They are worth the carbs. Come and eat Hawaiian style here in the best of places Las Vegas. Mahalo!

It was my first time to go to Zippy's. The restaurant was clean and simple. I liked that. We went there for dinner. I had April Deal. It was only $12.99. It had Korean fried chicken, chili, macaroni salad and two scoops of rice. That was a lots to me. Korean fried chicken was good. My husband ordered Mixed plate. That was good too. Our server was good. Some pastries and soup which I wanted to try were sold out. I want to try it next time.

We had to visit Zippy's on Eastern Avenue in Henderson, NV just because we grew up with it in Hawai'i. Everything tasted pretty much the same. We had the Zip Pac Deluxe, Chantilly Cream Puffs and hot coffee. The tartar sauce was a little runny and it tasted a little off. The cream puffs were sis (Liliha Bakery's puffs mo betta). We decided to order online for pick up in the glass lock boxes in the lobby. We don't want to wait in any potential long lines. Tonight was okay - short lines. Don't show up too late to pick up your order because it'll lock up on you. I had to get in line just to have the guy grab my order for me. https://yelp.to/WNSQDPux5R

The Teriyaki Beef & Chicken Katsu Platter was HUGH! I definitely got full. Then my wife couldn't finish her Korean Fried Chicken Plate. So I had to finish her plate too. It was all so delicious. We did order a Spam Musubi. I felt the rice to meat ratio was off. Too much rice lol. The waitress was awesome. She checked on us frequently. Our Water & Soda were always full. Every table at Zippy's looked like they were having a great time. The music was fitting and relaxing. I'm definitely bring all my family & visitors here to eat.

I ordered 3 Korean fried chicken and chili combo special. 1 regular chicken and chili combo. Food tasted great. But 1 Korean fried chicken and chili combo only came with 4 small pieces of chicken. The 2 other plates came with 5 pieces of chicken. I definitely get smaller portion size take out than when we eat inside. We couldn't eat inside cuz my son had a lacrosse game and we were all tired. I can't speak on service. It's a pick up box and you text Zippy's back. The door flashes when it's ready to open. It's super cool. Restaurant was clean and I was greeted entering and exiting Zippys. I'm a little disappointed on portion size this visit and we always order Korean fried chicken and chili combo. I'm hoping next time is better.

We have ordered from Zippy's for delivery before, but we finally decided to try an in person visit when we were near Henderson. I know it can be very busy, but it was quiet when we visited on this Monday evening. We were seated right away, and they have a large dining room with booth and table seating. Everything looked clean and well-kept. Our server was quite friendly and attentive, and soft drinks were frequently refilled. I had the "chili moco" which is basically the loco moco with some of their famous chili (with beans or sans beans - your choice). This features two eggs cooked how you want them, chili, two hamburger patties, and gravy all atop rice. It also includes macaroni salad on the side. It is a very hearty (and tasty!) meal. The patties were hot and tasty and not greasy. The sauce and chili were both delicious. I could finish all the rice as I filled up on the other items. The macaroni salad was tasty as well if a bit on the salty side. I opted for the "complete meal" upgrade for about $11 extra which includes soup or salad, soft drink, Hawaiian dinner roll, and dessert of your choice. The salad was very basic but tasted fresh. The roll was basically a warm King's Hawaiian roll which was fresh and tasty. It was warmed in a microwave, however, so it really didn't have any crispiness or crunchiness. They only had a few different cakes and pies to choose from - I had hoped for a chocolate choice but none were available. I went for their haupia (coconut) cake which was exceptionally moist and delicious! Overall, this was a very delicious meal that I really enjoyed more than the delivery orders we've experienced. I would definitely return and dine-in in in the future!

After running a marathon earlier in the day, I came here on a Saturday evening to get some dinner. There were now 4 locations in Las Vegas! With this visit, I had gone to 3 out of 4. This location was just south of the 215 freeway, near the Eastern Ave and Silverado Ranch Blvd intersection. This place was one that was big enough that they had a bar section. When I looked over the menu, there were a lot of delicious food that I wanted to eat, but they weren't exactly very good for me. I ultimately decided to go with their loco moco. That meal was satisfying and really hit the spot. Service was excellent and very friendly.

Chicken Katsu "Chicken Katsu" - Can you please remind workers to include katsu sauce whenever someone orders Chicken Katsu? The first and second time I didn't say anything, but this is now the third time it has happened. I'm thinking it may not just be me having this issue with Zippy's when ordering delivery. The meal is good, but having the sauce included makes a big difference.

This place is spacious and clean, service is great and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We tried the saimin, chicken trio, bean soup and Korean salad and all were so good.

Happy to have Zippy's and not have to travel to Hawaii. The workers here seem to be from Hawaii and are super friendly. Stopped in for breakfast and this location has lots of seating. Ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with fried rice, the zip omlette with fried rice, and the Koren Fried Chicken. Everything was great - the fried rice was amazing!

Had some friends in town from the east coast that had never been to Hawaii (crazy right). So they had never heard of Zippy's or know about its 60 year history. At the end of the meal they were both totally satisfied and blown away on how good everything was. Our service was awesome and we finished off with fresh malasadas. Great stop for all of us and especially two that had never experienced Zippy,s before. Great service and a clean restaurant as always.

Despite it being a Saturday night, my family and I were seated right away. It was a pleasant surprise because I thought there was going to be a wait for sure. I have been hearing so many things about Zippy's and I was excited to finally try it. The service was fast and decent. Inside was casual and they had a takeout side where you could order to go and a dine in side. The food was pretty good but there were some parts that weren't my favorite. I ordered the hamburger steak that came with onions, gravy, rice, and mac salad. The hamburger steak was good and the gravy but I felt the mac salad was lacking a bit. The food was not bad at all it just didn't live up to my expectations I had going in.

Dining area is small but there's adequate seating for a table, by the window, and along the wall. Menu offers a great selection of chicken, shrimp, steaks, salmon, ahi, pork, as well as Hawaiian plates, island favorites, fried noodles, and poke. I ordered my go-to for Dynamite Chicken Katsu (mini, $13.52), its crispy breaded chicken, meat is tender and moist, has amazing wasabi aioli and spicy sauce drizzle, very savory and wonderfully delicious! Served with tasty crab potato salad and kimchi. Also had Fried Noodles (mini, $7.28), the egg noodles are delicious, topped with chopped scallions and kamaboko (Japanese fish cake), it's really good! Spam Musubi ($4.16) is tasty! It does need sauce and there are condiments like soy sauce and hot sauce available on the table. For a lovely treat, they make the best Japanese Milk Pudding, it's delightful and not too sweet! I ordered a regular ($5.20) and tried Ube flavor ($5.20), both are yummy! Ube flavor is so good! The milk pudding has a delicate, silky, bouncy texture, and comes with a sweet Japanese syrup. The milk pudding on its own is so YUM! The syrup itself is very sweet, so only pour a little bit. They also have fun cookies on display locally sourced from The Cookie Bar. I tried Crème Brûlée Cookie ($4.50), it's a huge sugar cookie with a beautiful crisp glaze and is very sweet. MacDaddy Cookie ($4.50) is excellent, it has white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts, this one taste great! Service from Koltyn and Zadus is very kind, welcoming, polite, and friendly!

Things were still getting together but I have faith they will get back to their normal flow. Food was tasty as always. Had the beef ribs and the kalua pig today. The Kalua pig was a very tasty version. One of the better ones I've had in town for my taste. Not too smoky, felt like it was roasted for a long time. The meat was still intact but tender. Ribs were as they always are. The only thing today, was that the boxes didn't feel as full as they normally do. Only got 4 ribs today and they weren't all that meaty. The pig dish wasn't full to the brim either. Also, prices have gone up from the menu, so seeing higher prices (totally understandable) and less food was a little disappointing. Service was friendly for the most part, but be ready for longer waits. Maybe it was because of the move, but it was a 15-20 min wait today. The ribs are still the best in town, I'm hoping the small portion was just a one off.

We ordered the Crackhead Chicken and Da "OG" Beef to share, and I also got a Spam musubi I had been craving. The musubi was HUGE and really hit the spot. We also ordered a side of Crackhead Chicken without the spice for our 1 year old, and she LOVED it. Normally she throws her food, but this time she actually ate it and kept making the cutest "yummy" faces the whole time. The moment I took my first bite of chicken, my reaction said it all. The flavor was INCREDIBLE! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut and a nice kick from the spices. Everything worked so well together, and the chicken itself was unbelievably moist and juicy. I also loved that the meat was served over the rice, allowing for all the juices to soak in. The rice was soft, flavorful, and just as satisfying. The macaroni salad was hands down my favorite compared to any Hawaiian BBQ spot I've tried. I also had a few bites of the beef, which had an amazing flavor and just the right amount of char to elevate it even more. The only thing that didn't stand out to me was the coleslaw, but we found out later that you can substitute for extra macaroni salad for an additional 50 cents. We will definitely do that next time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area. One quick note for parents: there are no high chairs available, and we even searched the entire food court. Since it's inside a casino, it's understandable, but just something to keep in mind.
