I was excited to know that a new location was opening closer to me in Henderson, I decided to go here with my friend as a lunch date. I love when you walk in there's signs to direct you and you can eat there, order a to go order or place on line and pick up with a code when your order is ready. Everything was very tasty and good flavor, we had an issue with watery bang during our lunch but, it was fixed quickly and we were happy with that, I did also mention the special that's advertised on IG for $9.99 (for the new location opening til October 5th) and our waitress said that's only online or Togo orders and showed her the screenshot and she was able to give the $9.99 price and not $11.99. It's so nice to have a taste of home here on the 9th island. Just walking inside brings me back. I love the old pictures they have decorating the walls. We are very excited to have Zippy's at this new location! We were very fortunate to be invited to participate in their soft opening today. This was my first time visiting Zippy's. Authentic Hawaiian cuisine. Absolutely delicious! The 4 of us ordered something different and shared so we could taste each dish. Everything was so flavorful and tasty. This is just the beginning of many more visits to come! Upon entering the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our server took the time to explain the menu and dishes which was so helpful. They were really busy and still learning but you would never know it. Our drinks and food came out quickly and correctly. I loved the decor of the restaurant. It was so sparkly and new. Despite the crowd we were still able to enjoy our conversations. This new restaurant is a perfect addition to the area. Honestly I have never had a meal from Zippy's in their original location in the state of Hawaii. All my experience has been in Hawaiian restaurants in California in recent years. We were met at the door and seated very quickly in a very quiet restaurant (it was about 2:00 pm in the afternoon). I ordered the Teriyaki Beef rice plate instead of the Loco Moco because I was not that hungry. There was only one waiter and service was ever so lightly slow. There thin slices of beef were a little over grilled but with the teriyaki sauce made it very tasty. The macaroni salad is quite good. read more

Ok, I don't like to complain, but to insure success for Zippy's here in Henderson, I will give constructive criticism. Ordered some korean chicken plates and a wonton min. One of the korean chickens was a breakfast plate, the other was a mix with chili, no beans. The food was dropped off, and the chili had beans. Not a normal amount, but an excessive amount of beans. Waitress didn't come back, so I ate half of it and pushed most of the beans to the side. Then the wonton min. I was like, there's no wonton in here, and very little soup, just barely up to the noodles. Picking through the noodles, about 1/4 of it was clumped together, so it wasn't loosened while being boiled. Not good. Hidden under the mess of clumpy noodles, was the wontons, and i can see why it was hidden. It looked like old, pre-cooked, and shredded wonton. Not even one of them looked nice and prepared properly. We were in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and discovered Zippy's. And since we are back in Las Vegas again, we excitedly went back to Zippy's for a spontaneous late night snack. It's a perfect place to go late because they are open until midnight. I ordered the chili and rice bowl and my hubby got the saimin soup. Both choices hit the spot for a 10:00 late night meal. Zippy's opened its third location in Henderson at South Eastern. You'll find them at Silverado Park Place on Eastern and Silverado Ranch by Hardin, right next to Red Robin. There's ample parking. Grand opening was on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Inside is bright, clean, and spacious with good music and plenty of seating available for both take out and dine-in. Menu offers a nice selection of daily specials, saimin, soup, zippy's classics and favorites, including burgers, sandwiches, pupu platters, zippy's chili, and fried chicken. They even have a bakery that's stocked every morning at 6am from delivery at their Arroyo location. For convenience, you can place order ahead of time using the mobile app, and when it's ready, the pre-paid item is placed inside a secure compartment. You'll need to scan the QR code to retrieve, and this makes the process super easy and efficient for quick pick-up, plus there's no need to wait in line. I had a late lunch and visited Zippy's to check out the bakery. They had mochi ada, napples, ensemada, banana cream pie, assorted donuts and cakes with flavors for ube, haupia, and chantilly, as well as cream puff, strawberry cream cheese, and custard long john. There was one glazed donut bite remaining, so I ordered the last one plus a glazed yeast donut, and spam musubi. I'm glad I ordered just one Glazed Bite ($0.34 each), the donut bite seemed a little dry, it's not light and fluffy like donut holes. Glazed Yeast Donut ($2.20) is very good, soft and yummy! I prefer this over Glazed Bite, plus it's not too sweet. My favorite is Spam Musubi ($3.30), it's nicely coated with teriyaki sauce and the rice portion is very good! On a second visit, I ordered Vegetarian Chili with steamed rice ($7.10), it's hearty and chunky with red kidney beans, corn, mushrooms, and minced tofu that taste like ground meat, very flavorful and absolutely delicious! I opted for the regular order and the portion is perfect for a late night meal, very light and satisfying! I love Mochi Glazed Donut ($2.99), it has a lovely crisp glazed texture that's so nice and chewy, this donut is yummy and not too sweet! Service from Samantha, Kirstyn, Julianne, and Kia is so kind, welcoming, helpful, and accommodating! Everyone in the staff is very efficient and friendly. When I came to Zippy's the other day I didn't realize it was a sit down diner. I had something more like L&L in my mind. This was something much bigger in scale. Both in the size of the restaurant and the menu. I chose to dine in and take in the full experience. As I already mentioned, the menu is big. It took me a while to decide what I wanted. It didn't help that it was not quite lunch time and kind of late for breakfast. What I chose in the end was the KFC breakfast - a plate of rice with 3 pieces of Korean fried chicken (boneless thigh pieces), three slices of Portugese sausage and two eggs over easy. The chicken was full of flavor but not as crispy as I had hoped for. Still good. The sausage was good as well. The eggs were perfectly cooked. I like to mix the yolk into the rice but I like my whites set. Hence the over easy order. The rice itself tasted a little sweet. I'm not sure if that the way it was cooked or if it had just picked up some flavors from the food which sat upon it. There were a lot of flavors on this plate. In addition to my main meal, I ordered a Boston cream pie donut to go. I saw another person eating one in the restaurant and it looked too good to pass up. It only made it home and no further as I could wait no more. And good it was. A fluffy yeasted donut with a rich chocolate ganache and thick custardy filling. A most satisfying version of my favorite donut. Zippy's is like Hawaiian Denny's with better food and better service. I first felt like the price of the meal was a bit high. It seemed like mostly rice til I started thinking about it. 2 eggs, 3 chunks of chicken and 3 pieces of sausage was more protein that I was giving credit for. So in the end, the price was mostly for what I received amd the solid friendly service. What did bother me was $4.99 for an iced tea. Seriously? That is definitely steep. And we complain about the price of a gallon of gas. read more

First time to the Henderson location on a Saturday Brunch time. There was a 25 - 45 minute wait. We didn't mind. However, counter seats opened up quicker so we took that instead. Good location lots of parking. Spacious, bright and clean inside with a Take Out Section and Dining Room as well. Lovely staff and good conversations sitting at the counter. Our food was absolutely scrumptious! Temperature and portions were good! My favorite always has been Zippy's Fried Chicken, Chili no beans, Spaghetti with Garlic bread and Grilled Corn Bread. My family's favorite is also Zippy's Fried Chicken. There's a pretty good selection of food items on the menu. Plate lunch style comes with 2 scoops rice with Macaroni Salad. Also can order all rice no Macaroni Salad or Green Salad. Then choose your choice of food items. There's Zippy's Signature Plates, Hawaii style soups with noodles, Breakfast, Daily Plates, Chili, Ohana Meals, Burgers/Sandwiches, Keiki Meals, Platters, etc. Don't forget to order a dessert. The Fruit Punch, Orange Bang and Lilikoi Drinks are on tap and always available for refills and sooo good! Some say prices are too high and the portions aren't worth it. As many times I have visited Hawaii I've never been to a Zippy's. Had to check out Zippy's Las Vegas. We ordered the Zip pack deluxe and the Roast pork plate to share. Two words this place is " comfort food". The roast pork was smothered in gravy on a bed of rice. The gravy was tasty reminded me of packaged gravy but wasn't mad at that its comfort food. The Zip pack was a sampling of fan favorites . The Korean fried chicken was my favorite the chili was very tasty too, no negatives comments on the rest. It's comfort food. There is also a Hawaiian pastry case but no room for that Very clean and spacious and our server Hudson was excellent. I would definitely come back but next time need to try the oxtail soup.
