We had the cast iron corn bread for a starter along with the mushroom and artichoke soup! The soup was absolutely amazing! It was cooked just right and had lots of flavor! For our entrees, we had the blackened chicken pasta and the Maryland style crab cakes. Everything was extremely tasty and filling! Our server, Julia, was very sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. I think this is the location on Fairview. We had lunch here today (Friday), and first of all, the parking situation is terrible. we had to go to a lot down the street. Then, after receiving some waters, we waited another 15-20 minutes to be able to give our orders. From then, it was still a good wait till our food came out. Delicious! I came here with a girlfriend for dinner. We sat outside and there were space heaters so it was nice and toasty. Service was really good. We heard the specials and we could tell the server was really knowledgeable with the menu. I wasn't sure what to get so I asked the server if I should get the shrimp and grits or the chicken pasta. He suggested the shrimp and grits. The dish was very filling and the shrimp was cooked well. The flavor was good but I did add some hot sauce to it. My friend got a salad and she loved the dressing. The salmon was so delicious and flaky however I encountered a few bones in the fish. In addition, the portion of salmon is more than I would typically get at another restaurant which I loved. I loved the peanut and ginger slaw that provided freshness to the dish and would definitely get this meal again! Had dinner with a couple friends on New Year's eve. I ordered a filet mignon cooked medium rare but only the outside of it was cooked medium rare and the center was raw. I had to add salt and pepper because it was so bland. For $45 I expected more. The smashed potatoes were OK, but looked like they had been made a day or two before. I ordered a cappuccino, but it was some kind of creamy mixture, simulating coffee. It was not the traditional espresso with foam topping. For an eight dollar cappuccino I expected the real thing. Extremely disappointing for such a nice restaurant. The Key lime pie was the only savior. One slice of pie is big enough for three or four people to share. I really expected more since I have been to the Blakeney location many times in the past. The two stars I am giving are for our server who was fantastic. read more

We ordered the salmon, and had it cooked to the servers suggestion. So glad we did because it was sooo good, not dry or anything, and retained amazing flavor. We usually got for the marinated steak, which is always a staple. Im not a red meat eater, but this is the ONLY place, I'll ever order a steak from. One day I ordered a steak and it was accidentally overcooked. The manager immediately came over, apologized, and replaced it, no issues whatsoever. The service is amazing and all of the servers are very knowledgable about the menu. I HIGHLY recommend the deviled eggs. They come in 2 and 4 count, but once you taste them, it's never enough!
