The customer service was awesome from the moment I arrived to the moment that I paid for my food. Everyone is so kind here. First off, the coffee! The maple syrup latte was off the chain! It was so unique and flavorful. I could taste the rich sample syrup with each sip. The apple cider chai was about beyond words. It tasted exactly like it sounded. Respect to that! I ordered the hash. It was the best hash that I've had. The smokey-ness of the meat was on point. It was just the right amount of salt to compliment the eggs. The blueberry pancakes is a must-have. We sat outside and we're greeted with bright colored tables, chairs, and silverware. Their outdoor seating is also dog friendly, so we got to meet some very cute pups! *food* The food was great. Really delicious, homey brunch fare, though if you come during the normal brunch hours, expect a wait both for a table and your food. We had walked around that area a few times without realizing the goldmine of places to try - 2 Cats (though did not see any actual cats wandering about), Jordan's, and the Mount Dessert Bakery. The line to get in is sloooow, particularly if you're coming as part of a large group. Tables inside are stacked extremely close together (if I leaned backwards, I'd brush the back of the person sitting behind me), so if you're at all iffy from a COVID perspective, I recommend sitting outdoors. We waited about 1.5 hours between putting our name down and getting our food, often sending plaintive stares. It may have just been hunger but the food was excellent, though on the heavier side. The stand-outs: (1) Fluffy biscuits with strawberry butter. Worth coming here for these biscuits alone. (2) Pancakes - I had a few bites and was in serious pancake heaven. (3) Home fries. You will leave here nice and stuffed for your next hike up a mountain. Case in point: I ordered the granola with fruit and yogurt and they filled up almost a dog bowl's worth of their homemade granola. I barely made a dent in it. read more

Cute establishment in the very busy Cottage Street area of Bar Harbor. Parking is a bit of a nightmare in this area, so come early to find a spot otherwise you're just stoking your hangry side. We arrived at 12:00 pm and immediately received a table on the patio. I'm sure the place can be packed for the breakfast rushes, but the place was pretty sparse when we were there. Staff were attentive, our beverages and orders were given within 10 minutes of us sitting. I loved the little decorative touches: from the paw prints on the tables to the different colored chairs. Get the homemade corned beef hash if it's on the menu. It practically melted in our mouths. Hands down one of the best I've had. Also went with the French toast which didn't taste heavy at all. Seriously refreshing with the (add on option) of fresh fruit. Also served with real maple syrup for no added cost (a steal these days). Open for 2021! Bar Harbor is opening up again for the season. They have some limited seating inside and ten-ish tables of varying sizes outside on the deck. Staff are wearing masks! We got the smoked salmon omelette and homemade granola with fruit and yogurt along with a hot and cold jumbo size Milky Way coffee. The omelette comes with home fries, a biscuit with strawberry butter, and a small side of fruit. The omelette was the best fuel after a sunrise hike. Wasn't super heavy so I was good to go for the rest of the day hiking. The Milky Way is caramel and chocolate flavoring in coffee, super heavenly. We had no problem getting an outdoor table, though. When in Maine, go with the blueberries, right? So I had the blueberry pancakes, and they were almost more blueberry than pancake! They tasted great and were so gooey, there was no syrup needed. The bacon was also notably yummy. Billed as "thick cut," it didn't seem that way to me, which I considered a positive. We came here for brunch while staying in Bar Harbor. We didn't have to wait for a table because we came here very early, but the place got crowded pretty quickly after we arrived. The restaurant is very distinct as it as a ton of cat decoration which I thought was very interesting and I loved the cat paw prints on their tables. I ordered the French Toast with a side of sliced banana. It was pretty good and the perfect portion. My complaint about this restaurant is that we waited a very long time to get our food. Beautiful thick chunks of lobster atop a delicious biscuit topped with a poached egg and some hollandaise. My only complaint was that it could have used a lot more hollandaise since the biscuit, while delicious, was pretty thick. My husband got the regular benedict and he also found his to be slightly under sauced too. But the flavor was there and I loved every bite. The potatoes were also fantastic, and they had just the right amount of kick and spice for me. We sat outside and it was lovely to sit on the porch on a warm summer morning. Service was fine. We had ordered donuts (12 mini donuts) and two coffees (we tried the maple latte and the Milky Way which tasted like a YooHoo) and I want to say it took around 30 minutes total. The service was very slow so if you are in a rush to go anywhere I would not go here. The coffee was OK it was nothing spectacular and I almost wish that I went to a different coffee place. Food: Lobster Benedict - I wanted to try the Lobster Benedict to see if it was worth the hype. I didn't think it was all that good. The lobster was not as super fresh and sweet tasting as some of the lobster I had elsewhere, also it didn't really come together with the benedict at all. I thought the biscuit was overpowering and too heavy in the dish, so overall the benedict was more like separate ingredients than a whole balanced dish. On the other hand, the home fries were pretty good. I wouldn't say this is worth it though and I don't really like biscuits in my benedict. My friend did say she loved the Maine Blueberry pancakes and basically devoured them quickly without saying a word or offering a bite. So I think those sound like a hit.
