Our friend had breakfast outdoors at Two Cats in Bar Harbor, Maine. We started with Katz paw, a biscuit top with sugar and pecans that was great. We had a combo breakfast with sausage and spicy hashbrowns and eggs that was excellent. The veggie omelet was very good. The lobster Benedict was very good, with excellent potatoes!

I will be taking the 6 hour drive to return to this spot if it is not simply for the biscuit and strawberry butter that came with my breakfast. It's obvious 2 Cats use fresh and whole ingredients. The service was fast and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I love the homey feel as we enjoyed our breakfast.

This place is a must! We had the farmers plate, and the Ho Hum with a side of blueberry pancakes. My favorite bite was the potatoes, they were so flavorful!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was in Bar Harbor, and 2 Cats is an outstanding breakfast option. The lobster Benedict and the blueberry pancakes were outstanding, and the orange juice was so fresh, it was like I was drinking the juice straight from the orange. Thanks again to the cooking and weight stuff for such an extraordinary breakfast before hiking Acadia national Park.

Came here for breakfast. It was our first breakfast place. It has no cats for people who are wondering. Apparently they used to have cats but not anymore. I wish they would have some. Service was decent but not amazing. Place is very tiny and tables are crammed together. It was uncomfortable to seat because of how small space there is. We all ordered different coffee and all of them were below average. Food wasn't great either. Salmon Benedict was very average. We never came back there because no one in our group liked the food or coffee.

We were really excited to try this place as it has good reviews on Yelp and is super cute, but were ultimately a bit disappointed. Service and Staff: - The staff was nice and they are accommodating with us initially sitting outside and then switching to inside Food and Drinks: - Chai latte: this was good - the cinnamon on top was a nice touch - Traditional Benedict: my friend asked for sausage instead of bacon on her Benedict. She wasn't clear what kind of sausage, but we wish the server said what kind of sausage they had. My friend was expecting a sausage patty, not sausages cut in half - Special Benedict: this was pretty disappointing. There was very little salmon, the egg was overcooked, and the biscuit was very dry. We asked for new eggs that were poached (as eggs should be with Benedict). I received new eggs in a bowl without any of the seasoning. It would have been okay if there was enough hollandaise sauce to add to these, but the sauce was also very limited - Blueberry Pancakes: these were good and filling Miscellaneous: - Street parking available - Indoor and outdoor seating available - Two gender neutral bathrooms

To start, as a cat lady myself I love the atmosphere here. All the cat decor and the paw print tables, plus everything being so colorful makes it wonderful to sit here. The juice is fresh and comes in a chilled glass. Perfect fluffy pancakes and I got the freshest banana I have ever had on the side. Peak ripeness. The French toast was made with a baguette which was interesting but it was very good! Typical French toast taste and soft. The corned beef hash was one of the best ones my friend has ever had, and she got poached eggs which were done perfectly with the tight whites and runny center. She described the meal as "Devine".

Corned beef hash was the best I've ever eaten. Hands down. Don't miss this place! Pricey, but worth every penny. Quaint location, in downtown Bar Harbor, but on the outskirts of it. Easy to get to, with plentiful (pay) parking around it. The four of us agree that of our 12 days on the road thus far, this was the best meal we've eaten. No one in our party was even mildly disappointed. Service was fine, very polite and friendly.

Loved the atmosphere and food. Get the smoked salmon eggs Benedict! Nice place, friendly service, great food. Hopefully we can enjoy the outside dining area next time.

I'd heard so many wonderful things about this place, but I felt like it was just okay. It certainly fueled me up for a full day of hiking but I felt it was incredibly average. The cafe mocha was way too sweet. I got the ho hum as my breakfast and it was nice and filling. The eggs were fine, the potatoes were a bit too raw for me, and I wasn't a big fan of the biggest and strawberry butter which was what I was most excited about. I felt like the biscuit was super dry and the strawberry butter seemed to be just regular butter. It is a super cute place though. I love their logo and the cats on all their mugs!

I love that the food is local and seems fresh. We got the farmers scramble and the summer scramble. The spicy sausage was good and the eggs were yummy. The potatoes didn't taste like they had spice on them. The strawberry butter was good, I think it's whipped. But the biscuit was dry and definitely needed the butter.

Get the lobster eggs Benedict breakfast with spicy potato's and try their homemade hot sauce. The Inn and restaurant has some beautiful flowers as you walk onto the property. Lots of cool cat signs obviously. One of the best places to eat your breakfast in Bar Harbor,Maine in my opinion. Paid street parking arrive early or no spaces to park around here.

This place had great reviews and lived up to them. Service was quick and food was delicious. Exactly what we were looking for in a last minute breakfast run before our hike to Thunder Hole

Is the full menu for breakfast still available during COVID-19? (Asking because someone mentioned only certain limited items were available, but nobody else mentioned anything about that)

No- they have gone full takeout, with a different menu. They serve breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and fresh donuts.

Spend that time wandering Main Street's shops, because the wait was worth the bite. The shrimp and scallop scampi arrived swimming in garlic, butter, and pasta (perfect fuel before a half marathon). My uncle's fish and chips delivered an actual deep-fried slab of fish, somehow golden and perfectly cooked. And then the seafood pie: crispy, flaky, golden on top in a way that looks borderline burnt but is actually just butter and scallops doing what butter and scallops do. This dish was basically chowder, piled high with fish... And some more fish, with a dash of chowder. Even the blueberry beer came through; we got Orono's Wicked Maine Blueberry Ale, packed with actual blueberries floating up and down. It was a motivating factor to visit the establishment, enjoy a lovely meal in a lovely town, and tip heavily. You claim to be a culinary source of authority. I think it's great that you own a Subway franchise in New York City, but I might hesitate from throwing around the word 'chef' too haughtily. I mean just because one wears a cowboy hat does not mean one owns cattle, am I right? Perhaps there were dishes on the menu that one could argue were overengineered, but they tasted great! And consider that you have no idea where in the culinary journey their chef is, nor what the market needs or will bear in Bar Harbor. The place was packed. Service was great. Food was divine! On a Tuesday night. Maybe next time you visit a restaurant, leave your Michelin yardstick in the trunk of your broomstick, and simply relax. Or possibly return to Bar Harbor Bicycle Shop, another establishment you experienced through your Vantablack-colored glasses and blew up on this site. I'm sure they would zealously rent you another bike if you promised to venture into Acadia and get lost. Cheers!
