This was my 2nd stop on a nice Saturday night after dinner in Seattle. We walked in and were seated immediately. The server gave us menus right away. We told the guy that this visit is for some quick dessert. Again, we didn't waste time. These ladies ordered Mango mojitos to start with. Then, we thought to keep the theme as we placed for some sticky rice with mango. These babies showed up right away. Mojitos were great but the real number was a little disappointing. We can assume that mangos are no longer in season so it was bland. It almost didn't taste like it should but the sticky rice was uplifting and made up for it. Our server though was very respectful and left us alone with our small orders. It was a nice quiet place, kind of an intimate ambiance if you ask me. My gf and i had a lovely time as we shared this mini dessert we both fancy from any Thai restaurants. Missy is also a regular here and claims their dishes are amazing. This is my go to Thai place... down the street from my house. A quick walk and quick enough to get a to-go order done in less than 15 mins. The food is always hot and delicious. The Creamy Crab appetizer and Chicken Wings is always a must every time I order. They are very generous and give extra vegetables when I ask and they don't shy away. Not my favorite Thai place. It is reasonably priced and the process of ordering is super simple, however the flavors in my food weren't great. My fried rice lacked a strong flavor other than spice and my sister agreed with her Pad Kee Mao. However my brother did enjoy his Crab Fried Rice and said the special sauce added a lot to it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with first visit to 2C Thai! Although, immediately after I placed a to-go order at the counter, the young man who had been helping me left to the back of the restaurant without a word-- I was expecting to pay, or be told how long my wait would be, or have some (any!) sort of indication that all was well. Instead, I was just sort of awkwardly abandoned at the front of the restaurant until my order was ready to go. All in all, not a big deal. As for food, my SO had the 2C Thai Spicy Noodle and loved it! I had the Cashew Vegetable Wok with a side of jasmine rice and have zero complaints. Both of our entrees were ordered with "4-star" spiciness, which was the perfect amount of flavorful heat. I wasn't super impressed with the order of Garden Rolls I had as an appetizer-- basically a lot of romaine and not much else-- but I enjoyed both sauces that came with it (one each sweet plum sauce and peanut sauce). A little pricey ($31 and some change for the two entrees and one appetizer mentioned here) but I'll get another 2 meals out of my veggies and rice. My SO ate his entree in one sitting. read more

My husband and I tried this place during the last power outage in Lake City, so the restaurant was very busy (which is why I am giving it two stars instead of one). It took over an hour to get our food because our server forgot to put our order in. When the food did arrive it was not what we ordered but we did not send it back, because at that point we were starving. I had 1 bad experience with this place but the owner listened to my experience and comp my dish next time. It was several months and the owner remembered(note in system) and comp my dish when I tried to order. Great customer service and got back the 4th star and now I will be customer here again. The food here is good, we usually do Wok fried rice and pad thai and wings. I love going with heat level 5 and give some kicks. I never eat in since I live pretty close. 4.5 stars for the food. Love the food here; been here about a dozen times, and takeover several dozen times. The food is stellar and definitely one of the best on the north side (another one to try would be pop pop off of aurora, or thai tom on Univ ave). Our usuals here are red curry, panang curry, pad thai (better when hot), tom yum soup, phad kee mao and mango sticky rice dessert. Portion sizes are ample, but food is a bit pricey. I really love this place so much that it may be my new Thai spot. I honestly came here because of the reviews and it was something near by, I'm glad I did. The place is so cozy and clean inside. The waiter was very attentive and polite. The food was spectacular!! More than what I was expecting. The Pad Thai prawn was super good! It wasn't watery or dry it was in the middle and I asked for a level 1 in spice and they didn't over do it with the spice. Some Thai places do so you have to watch out. I also ordered appetizer spring roll and calamari, it was so good! Fresh spring rolls and the calamari had a nice sauce to it. What I was surprised was the crunchy chicken with green beens, that was something I never tasked and really enjoyed that plate. So much we ordered take out after our meal. All around this place is a five star in my books. Everyone has there own taste buds and this is merely on my experience. I've been here twice and will be back again for a craving of Thai food! This is my go to Thai place because it's near where I live and they open till 10. So far I tried the pad Thai and the garlic string beans. It's not the best I've ever had but it settles my cravings. Pricing isn't terrible I would says $14 ish on a entree. Service is so-so but I care more about food than them greeting me because I always do to-go here. Truthfully it taste better the next day but that's me with Thai food. Only here for a month until I can go back to by usual Thai spot back home. Pad kee mao was okay but could have used a bit more flavor. Loved all the veggies in in. Noodles in both dishes were perfectly cooked, not mushy. The crab rangoons were another highlight. We have frequented 2C Thai Bistro & Spirits multiple times and always enjoyed the food we ordered. For that I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. Tonight, we took our older kids (12,16) to a dinner night out. We were all excited, hungry and looking forward to our dining experience. Little did I realize that positive energy would not last. We looked through their menu of many delicious sounding dishes, decided what we were going to get. We waited close to 15 minutes after being seated to order in a restaurant serving 1 table of 2 patrons. My husband ordered the "Crispy Salmon", something new. Upon receiving everyone's food I got up and asked for 3 set of chopsticks. The manager seems annoyed, but got them for me. My husband takes the first bite of his food. The salmon was very squishy, not crispy as advertised, he said it was super salty for him personally. I asked the waitress to come over. He asked her with uncertainty, "is this crispy salmon?" She immediately was rude, defensive and disrespectful. She rolled her eyes and said, "uh yea!! That's what you ordered." He tried to explain that his expectation from the way the menu worded it, the salmon would be crispy like with a crunch, not soft soggy and squishy. She started yelling at him, snatched up his plate and said "okay so what now do you want a new one? This is how it will be. you ordered. Crispy salmon." I apologized and tried to explain. She said "whatever. do you want to order new food?" He said yes please and thanks. She storms away with the plate and our kids are sitting there stunned and uncomfortable, they just witnessed us getting yelled at, belittled We decided not to replace it with anything. He would eat the white rice, assuming he would be charged for it (like you would for a side of white rice) and share my bowl of soup with me. 30 45 sec or so later she came back to the table as he was about to take a bite of rice and said "no no you know what I'm taking the rice. You can't have it. " again, both children myself and my husband all shocked and uncomfortable. I completely lost my appetite and felt sick. I got up and asked to speak with the manager. A lady said that was her. I explained how terrible this experience has been. She was dismissive and said "she said she was sorry what more do you need." I asked for a to go container for my soup. It's yummy soup, but my stomach was in knots and I couldn't eat. Kids finish their food. I notice a gentleman chatting with the 2 servers. Upon getting the bill they didn't charge for the crispy salmon. I asked if he was the owner and he confirmed. I word vomit again non confrontationally about this entire night. He tells me that, that dish is their number one ordered item. It's very expensive etc I tried to explain that we were expecting to pay for the food, he was disappointed/confused because the menu said CRISPY salmon and crispy it was not. Our children are now a part of listening to this back and forth merry go round of him not understanding that just because 99 people love it does not mean that it's wrong for my husband to not like it, ask why it's different than described and maybe even order something he will like. It surely does NOT give any of them the right to degrade us in front of our children, raise voices at our table and overall treat us terribly. After 10 min of trying to talk to him about it, I realize this is going NOWHERE. The owner just kept going on and on about how wrong we are because everyone loves that dish and it's very expensive for us to not pay for it and that he's loosing so much money now. Yet, when I tried to tell him multiple times that we were expecting to pay for said food, he just didn't know that it was not crispy and didn't mesh well with his personal taste, the owner would interrupt me. Over and over again. I said enough is enough. There is nothing productive in this conversation, he is unwilling to listen to me. We paid the bill and left. I get it. I have been on all spectrums of working in the service industry. I'm aware that everyone is human and some days are better than others, everyone has personal life stories that are deeper and more complex than their job. However, if you are not able to refrain from yelling at your customers that are from start to finish really kind, caring and most importantly respectful, than you should have someone else take the table and or take some space to cool your head. If you are unable to let your customers finish their sentence and explain their experience that they are picking based on your description on the menu, you should just take a step away and clear your head. We unfortunately will not support that business any longer nor will our family and friends. There is absolutely no justification for being so combative to your customers let alone with children sitting there listening and watching every single moment. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

You want Pad See Ew I know a place. Crispy Chicken? I got a place for that but you'll have to drive a ways. Do you F*$@s with salads? (Because I F*%$s with salads) You gots to go another spot my G. You'll enjoy the food I promise. And I'll dub this the "best Thai spot" in Lake City. Did I mention the late night hours? C'mon...be like Drake and "Come thru...come thru." Portion sizes are proper and you get your moneys worth, in regards to "value" it's among the best out there. (portion in relation to cost) It's a good restaurant with some solid dishes and some "OK" ones. Case in point.. Tea. You gots to have your tea. I'm not talking about that Thai Iced Tea S*%t (though it's good once in a while...if you want diabetes). I'm talking hot tea and 2C Thai has a generous selection of teas at your disposal Papaya salad. Average portion but the Lime chili dressing they used was very good and it pairs well with the green papaya. (A top 5 salad found at any Thai restaurant in the city) Phad Thai. Huge portion, largest in the city. Taste? Solid overall, not enough fish sauce or citrus notes and it lacked the punch of flavor I prefer. You know that punch right? A stiff Floyd Mayweather jab to the mouth of sour, sweet, and spicy all in one bite. BTW if you don't know what Fish Sauce is get some Asian friends and get woke. Pad See Ew, portion size average, taste? Just OK. The blandness of this dish didn't meet the expectations I had. What I really want from my Pad See Ew is a Miguel Cotto left hook to the gut of subtle flavors and rich, thick sauces. Ask for their "spice plate" and add some much needed drops of fish sauce and peppers. Green curry with avocado-just ok, simple yet lacked the subtle complex flavors found at other local Thai places. What I was hoping for was a Kyrie Irving cross-over of flavors, you see a curry and it deceives the eyes, lulling you into thinking it will be bland and simple and instead it tricks you with it's deceptively strong ,fast heat and fluidity. Crispy chicken with basil-Yes, the greatest fried chicken dish on the planet is prepared by the Thai people and this one doesn't rank in the top 5 dishes you can find in the other Puget Sound Thai restaurants. It carry's a larger price tag than your noodle and rice dishes and It didn't have that crunch or basil flavor I wanted and it lacked the sweet, herbal combination you're expecting to eat. The best Crispy Chickens with basil are so good that after you taste it you'll be like DJ Khaled and order "Another one....another one....another one..." I was not DJ Khaled after eating this one and the breading of the chicken really didn't make it as crispy as my favorite Thai restaurants chicken dish. I'll have trouble suggesting that you go to 2C over other places in and outside of the city. However, the convenience of Lake City combined with the weekend hours of this restaurant (They're the few Thai spots open past 10PM on Saturdays) you'll be hard pressed to find something more delicious to eat past 10PM in the 98125 area. read more

However, the spicy level is pretty low compare to other Thai restaurants. If i had 4 star at Thaitom I would probably in tear for real but 4 star here taste like 2.5 star in my opinion. One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Seattle! I am also a fan of Thai Tom in the U-district. They have lots of parking on the street store front-facing side and in the back of the building. They always seem to be smiling as I pick up take out from under their n95 masks. The hostess or server also appears to be a appreciative of me as a customer for just showing up, I mean to say their customer service is exceptional. They have a large menu. I have not tried any alcoholic drinks at this restaurant yet - but I see that they do have a bar! I like to order their drunken noodle dish with extra vegetables. This restaurant's fresh roll order comes in a sufficient size (huge and fat) with spicy sauce and peanut sauce for dipping. Their Thai steak salad is very delicious and the grapes in this salad give balance to the spice. Check out this restaurant for taking out or delivery. For take out, they have an online form on their website. You can also give them a phone call too. One night, I was running 10-15 minutes late to pick up my order past closing time and they were very kind and welcoming even though they were closing up the restaurant as I was picking up my take out order. Great service, Delicious food We chose this restaurant and drove 15 miles away because of their reviews. We were not disappointed. You walk into this very aesthetically pleasing environment, decorated nicely and not overdone. We were graciously greeted and seated. We could see the bartender even looking up and giving a smile. Service was prompt and the place was clean including the condiment service pieces. We had the appetizer sample as a starter and it was all delicious. Entrees we ordered included House Special Noodles with Chicken -this was really good, House Special Spicy Chicken - great dish and Pad Thai Beef - not overly sweet and nicely done. Because choosing the appetizer plate, we had to skip the soup that I was surprised to see sold in cup or bowl servings which is nice and priced the same. I'll return and order most of the same specials and try other dishes that I saw other diners order. The only advise I have is to not serve entrees until the appetizers are finished. These came almost immediately after the appetizer and halted the full enjoyment. The other is to laminate the menu pages instead of placing in plastic sheet protector sleeves which certainly didn't match the classiness of the place. read more
