The spicy noodle special was terrible, just thick and oily gravy that really didn't resemble the description and the fresh rolls completely got gummy, had no herbs, almost zero noodles and rubbery shrimp. We were around the area and looked up on Yelp to find this Thai place with good reviews. So we decided to give it a try. We ordered their chicken wings, pad Thai and tom yum soup. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The pad Thai had the right amount of sauce and flavor and the noodles were chewy, not soggy like other restaurants we've tried. And the tom yum soup was delicious and filled with a generous amount of ingredients. Highly recommend! read more

So so. The pad see ew was awful.. we added squid and it was in a creamy light brown curry, not your traditional sweet and burnt wok taste. It was also $20! Squid was super hard and tasted like dirt and very fishy. I got the pineapple curry, no tomatoes or grapes, sub eggplant and greenbeans. They said it would be $1.50 more (turned out to be $2 more) and no greenbeans. So they charged more but did no substitution for the tomatoes and grapes we didn't get. 2 stars for the yummy crab rangoons but it's $6 for 6. Meh. Across the street is Thai One On and it was closed, but soooo much better for pad see ew and curry!!! read more

This is one of my favorite Thai places now! I had a great first experience here the other day. Me and a friend came in for lunch. They have a good variety of combinations for their lunch special. I got the Rama chicken combo and my friend got the red curry. Both were really good! We almost completely cleared all our plates. The portion was perfect. We also got a tea, white peony. They have a lot of tea options which is nice. And for dessert, we got the mango cheesecake. So goooood! Must buy! The interior is really beautiful and cozy. Customer service is good, but that was based on a slow day. There didn't seem to be a lot of people and it was during lunch time. read more

My SO and I decided to check Thai 2C Bistro out because of their awesome reviews on Yelp. This Thai restaurant is definitely very solid and one of the best in the neighborhood. The menu is more suitable for Westerners as there were typical dishes you would expect to see in an American Thai restaurant and weren't too many rare street dishes. However, The great service, bar drink selection and the ambiance really made up for it. We ordered our drinks, pan fried chive cakes, Thai 2C spicy noodles and crying tiger (grilled beef with Thai dipping sauce) and were happy with our food (e.g we finished the whole thing :)) The chive cakes (though a little small with 2 pieces, each cut in halves) tasted like what I'm used to in Thailand and the crying tiger tasted great with the dipping sauce. It didn't tasted so heavy or oily after eating the whole dish. The noodles came in quite a big portion. We got just 3* for spiciness level and wished we went higher on it for a better kick of flavor. Overall, great (and super busy!) place! We snugged in right before the crowd arrived...and you u the time we left around 8pm, there were at least 3-4 parties waiting for tables to open up. We were glad we checked this place out and think this new Thai place is a great addition to Lake City neighborhood! :) read more

It wasn't easy to find a parking spot in that neighborhood but we were lucky to get one right on the street. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I loved the cozy and warm atmosphere when I first walked in. The menu was extensive so we picked all different variety of food items. For appetizers, I liked the wing gone wild, chicken satay and undercover the most. The Tom Yum soup and basil chicken were amazing too! My friend ordered a mango mojito and it was delicious. The combination which I loved best for Thai desserts are mango sticky rice and a scoop of coconut ice cream. The service was efficient, friendly and upbeat. I've heard that this place is connected to Sip Thai in Redmond so I am not surprised they are both delicious. Overall, I am very happy to find another gem on my go-to list for Thai food. read more

I truly wanted to give this an additional star or two but... Couple of things 1) I'm an East Coaster (Northern East Coaster to be exact). We don't put eggs in our Pad Thai 2) I now live in the PNW and they do put eggs in Pad Thai :-(. When I moved to the PNW I also changed my eating lifestyle - I'm now vegan. And like other PNWers I'm getting into hiking. So this past week I go for a four mile hike (without eating) - I didn't have time so when I arrived a 2C Thai for take out I clearly state I'm vegan and GF. I placed my order get home and my Pad Thai had egg in it. I thought I'd give them a second chance - I called ahead and mention the mistake that happened a few days ago. The person takes my order and says sorry for the error (I expected more than sorry) but whateves. I arrived to pick up my order and I explain again how an error was made over the weekend and I hear the same thing (sorry). I paid for my order and finally a gentleman approaches and says he would like to offer me a free appetizer the next time I come in. He would have given it to me that night but my credit card was already ran. I appreciate the offer, however it wasn't an appetizer I couldn't eat - it was an entree!!! I don't think I'll be going back for my freebie - I will however be returning to my good old stand-by who doesn't put egg in their pad thai. read more

The food is pretty tasty and it's one of the better places in Seattle. The prices are fairly high but the plates are also fairly large, so it kind of balances out. The lunch combos are really good deals. I've had some issues with the service quality in the past though, and I have friendly relations with the wait staff at three other Thai restaurants in the area so the staff treatment unfortunately prevents this restaurant from being as competitive as my other favorites. read more

This place has been our go to place for Thai, great food with big portions at a very reasonable price. During the last 2 years (COVID), we averaged ordering from here almost every month. Good red curry and Tom yum soup. The soups' mushrooms weren't quite all the way cooked, little crunch, which I really liked. They serve small portions as well for those light eaters. I like their PAD THAI and their presentation respectably - they mandolin the cabbage and julienne some carrots . They have lunch specials which are really lovely. Next, their Fresh spring rolls are vegan friendly and are like a little red leaf salad in and of themselves. There's a nice bar at the back of the restaurant too. Last, their tea option is quite varied and unique. I noticed on their chalk board in the entrance that they serve all type of ice cream including a vegan option. Second worst Thai food I've ever had so I guess that's a bar they made it over. The Pad Thai was okay-ish in terms of flavor. It wasn't too dry and what put it slightly above the place that made it worst on my list. The Garden Lover was also meh. Not a lot of flavor. What doomed this place for me was the Crying Tiger. After the first bite I knew why the tiger was so sad. There was NO flavor, zero, zilch... which is the opposite of what Crying Tiger should be. I even tried dunking the meat pieces in the sauce they provided but even THAT barely provided anything for my taste buds to hold on to. Even if the prices were cheaper I wouldn't go here. read more

Love this place! I've been coming here for about a year now and always forget to review this place. I don't know if it's just me but all of my favorite thai places have been going bland on me, not sure if they changed cooks or ingredients but I can say that this place stays consistent with each and every visit that I make. It's a small, modern Thai restaurant and appears to be locally owned, staff are always nice and on point with service and they always refill my water without me asking! (yaaasss!) I've ordered the platter (appetizer with egg rolls, tofu, crab ragoons, gyōzas), phad Thai chicken, drunken noodles (equivalent to phad kee mao at other Thai places), and their phad see ew beef. All of which are delicious! They give you a sizeable amount and I always take leftovers home for a snack or lunch/dinner for the next day. What I love most is their spice level is on point, I like my Thai food spicy, like burn your mouth, make your nose drip, type of spicy. At other Thai restaurants I always ask for a 8 and here I ask for a 6 and it's enough to make me take the heat. Just like their flavoring, their spice level is also consistent. Love coming here when I'm in the area or when I crave for bomb Thai food! Keep on doing what you do 2C Thai and I'll keep coming back! read more

OMG! Now that I don't work in Greenwood, this has become my new go-to Thai place. It's a little on the spendier side but they really do a good job seasoning. Some places, one dish blurs into the next. Not the case here. There is a wide variety of dishes and distinct flavors. Something else I love about 2C: they have a standard option to let you sub glass noodles in any dish that has them. YES!! (If wide noodles are more your thing, they have that option too). It's a good place, we ordered online and peanut sauce is delicious. Rama noodle came with a lot of peanut sauce, but little heavy on the grease. Chicken satay was heavy on the lemongrass almost tasting like a soap, but the peanut sauce harmonized. Fresh roll it's huge, mostly made of lettuce and greens than noodles and came with a good portion of peanut sauce. I liked this place basically because of the peanut sauce. When I had covid and lost my taste and smell, I got takeout from here and I still enjoyed the wings because of the saltiness and texture... it's the only food I enjoyed during those few weeks. Love this place! I have not had anything here that I did not like. The food is so fresh, everything comes out hot & lovely. One of my favorite dishes is the crispy basil chicken. The flavor is AMAZING. The basil is not overpowering, and the chicken is tender inside its crispy shell. I've had multiple dishes here, and they've all been pleasing to the palate. Definitely try the Fish On Fire and the Pad Thai. The staff there is on the ball. I was totally impressed that, even though I hadn't been in for a bit, they remembered how many stars I like my food at. They are always quick with a smile, and they make sure you have everything you need. So, if you find yourself in Lake City and hungry for Thai, ignore the other places you may see, 2C Thai is the BEST place to get your Thai fix. read more

Taste wise, 2C Thai is great - but they're aren't being transparent with customers. The "pinapple" fried rice with tofu I ordered last night legitimately and a tiny piece of pineapple with 5 pieces of tofu scattered throughout. The majority of ingredients were large pieces of cabbage and carrots. My papaya that is advertised to include avocado... didn't have any. I understand ingredients are more pricey during this covid situation, but they could've let us know. 2C left a bad taste in my mouth... read more

What to get: wings gone wild, 2C Thai Fried Rice Have tried their other dish but those two are my fave. The spicy mayo with honey wasabi dipping sauce is so good. The 2C Thai Fried Rice taste like chili-tomato fried rice yet I just really love the simplicity of it. This place is ALWAYS full, when a table leaves, another group of customers will arrive and occupy the just-vacant table. I usually really enjoy the food here and would consider myself a regular however my last encounter here was very negative and offensive. The restaurant was packed so my partner and I decided to sit in the bar. My partner only had his tribal (Tulalip) ID on him and the waitress refused to take it even though I showed her the law that states tribal ids are valid and must be accepted. It was very racist and discriminatory, especially since they are VISITORS on our (Native) land. Attached is the webpage I showed them, and they still wouldn't let us sit at the bar, so we left. There are holes in the wall, and there are fancy dining rooms, and then there are the more anonymous strip malls and slapped-together buildings of the world. This place, as you might guess from the name, is in the third category. Thankfully, you can find good food ANYwhere, and this place is more evidence of that. There's some street parking, and, most interestingly for those who know the history of Lake City Way, there's a fair amount of competition around here now for your dining dollar. These guys deserve at least one shot at your belly though. Inside, there's a long narrow space where they've squeezed in a bar and a long side station and a long snake of a dining room leading back to the back. Everything's comfortable enough but you won't get very excited to eat until you look at the menu. That's when everything changes--you instantly see dishes you want to try right away, more dishes than you can possibly fit into one visit. So you start thinking about another visit. We checked out the tom yum soup--wonderful big chunks of onion, nice raw mushrooms, great flavor throughout. Could have been a bit less sweet with a bit more keffir leaf, but so close to perfect I feel like a jerk even quibbling. The Tiger Cries here is fantastic, with wonderfully tender and just-fatty-enough thin-sliced beef. Great tangy sauce with a nice pop of onion and fruit. The papaya salad had tons of bright, lightly sweet fruit flavor. The 2C Spicy Thai Noodle was exceptional--awesome chewy wide noodles, great flavor to the chicken, lots of nice crunchy vegetables nearby. 4 dishes and two drinks came to $51. The service was right on point throughout. I can't say enough good things about these guys. There's a lot of good Thai in this town, and these guys just add to the list. read more

Thai food holds a special place in my heart. It's spicy and flavorful and oh so satisfying. This place does Thai food right. I don't live nearby, but when passing through I'm secretly mapping the directions to this restaurant. The Khao Soi is my favorite. Not only is it really tasty but it's so over the top in terms of presentation! Last time my hubby and I came we just got two orders of it, although the pad Thai was also solid.
