Great tacos. Had the Cochinita pibil, the tinga, and the rajas. All awesome. The Besito drinks drinks are a great combo with them. The blue corn tortillas are awesome. Stop by this food truck when you are in the neighborhood!

The best taco truck in LA. I was weary at first because the ingredients sound so healthy and I don't eat tacos to be healthy. However, I was more than impressed by the flavor. I ordered the "Taco de Tinga" and the "Taco de Pipian Verde." They both were excellent. Don't let the healthy ingredients discourage you! These tacos are PACKED with flavor and love!

I could talk at length about this place. I have. I love even made a whole video review of their menu. 5 cazuelas is the best tacos I've had in LA. I love this place and the woman who runs it is amazing and friendly. The decor is lovely, they have this gorgeous sleek trailer and these little white flowers with purple tipped petals, the whole place is a vibe. Every taco they have is amazing. The Cochinita pibil is incredible but my favorite is the Rajas, an alchemical miracle of peppers, corn, and cream that tastes like nothing you've eaten before and nothing that could be made by the human hand, it's the most delicious substance I've ever eaten. Rajas are incredible. I've never had a taco like that and I'm always looking for more. The Cochinita pibil is more traditional, slow cooked pork meat with deep tangy flavor and an incredible fermented habanero salsa, and most of their tacos are dressed with little sprouts and edible flower petals, each taco is literally a work of art, you could almost cry looking at one. The blue tortillas, delicious fillings, immaculate garnishes, there is truly no other taco like it in LA, and possibly the world? I beg of you to check out this place, it deserves to be famous. I will say that I'm not crazy about the location. I think if they moved they would get more business. It's tricky cuz it's a busy road and a turn and it's hard to turn and find parking, it's a bit hectic. Sorry! Love you!

Absolutely delicious pipian verde in blue corn tortillas. I eat them maybe three times a week. Nice owners who put their heart into it, and you can tell.

Veggie taco, conchinita taco, tinga taco

This place is a total gem! I had heard great things and it didn't disappoint. The owner is so kind, we chatted with her for awhile. The food is wonderful and while I loved all of my tacos, the pipian verde burrito (not pictured here) was the real standout. You can't miss the pipian!! Only thing is I want this place to get more foot traffic, maybe they should move locations if possible?

There was a little food truck parked outside my apartment complex and decided to bypass meal prep for a treat tonight and it was well worth it! Great artistic presentation to begin with, the favors of the taco were each distinct and yummy and enjoyed each one equally. Price was right at $4 a taco and it was made fresh right in front of my eyes. Definitely worth trying if you see them. Thanks guys for the great tacos!

Delicious taco. I love the blue corn tortillas they use and the chicken is really high quality. They are local folks making delicious tacos. The service is excellent and very willing to answer questions The sodas they have are great too. It's the first taco truck I have seen with flowers making for a really cute ambiance.

Went here during the Frogtown Holiday Hop. Each taco is cheap, which is what attracted me to this food truck in the first place. On top of that, they have both vegan and vegetarian options. Since it was affordable and I wanted to try all the vegan and vegetarian ones, I went ahead and ordered all three. I'm glad I did, because the tacos are small, so you really do need to order more than one to get full. When I placed my order, the cashier gave me a magnet. It made me laugh because they kept calling my name only to tell me it wasn't ready yet. The third time they called my name, it was finally ready. It seems that they were trying to get everything just right because when I finally did get my order, it was colorful and beautifully presented. It tasted great as well. When I went, the food truck was parked in front of Sooki Studio & Supply which had nice seating areas where people could eat. I got curious as to what "cazuela" means and apparently, it's a type of stew. The food was good and cheap and the employees were pleasant, so I would highly recommend this food truck if you come across it. read more

I live on Vancouver Island but come to LA occasionally to dog sit for a friend. I also make pottery out of a fabulous studio in Frogtown called Claytivity. I was there the other day and I stayed longer than I usually do and when I saw it was 3:00 I realized I had t eaten yet and was starving. I remembered our studio manager raving about the taco truck at Gilroy and Riverside so I thought I would give it a try. The woman working was super nice and I asked her to make me two of her best things. She asked and I said there wasn't anything I didn't like. The beef and chicken tacos came up quickly and I decided to sit in the sun and drink my ice cold soda and dig into the gorgeous tacos! So pretty! I love when a place puts the extra effort in as that seems rare these days. I ate the chicken first and it was delish - but I saved the best for last / the pork taco was probably the best one I've ever had / especially with the added home made hot sauce that I was warned packed quite a punch. Happy for the warning I only used a few drops and it was taco perfection. Wil definitely be back to try them out again / the taco shells were home made as well - and blue! read more

The most impressive artisanal gourmet tacos I've had! These are a taste of actual traditional tacos from a Mexico that I hadn't tasted in years...being a mexican in the U.S. So of course they don't have shredded cheddar as an option! My friends and I had tacos from 5 Cazuelas at the Illuminate the Night event. These were among my favorite tacos I've had. All three of tacos I tried (Tinga, Rajas, and Cochinita Pibil) were great, and my friends had good things to say about the Papas Soy Chorizo one as well. These didn't taste like truck tacos - these were restaurant quality. At this event, it ended taking well over 30 minutes for us to get our food due to the volume of orders; for a typical lunch time visit, I imagine this wouldn't be an issue though. read more

Without a doubt, 5 Cazuelas makes the best tacos I've ever had! The delicious flavors start with some quality ingredients, that are brought to the highest level with a lot of culinary skill and love. I have never seen street tacos like these! Each taco is unique, looks and taste amazing! My favorites were the Cochinita Pibil which is a pulled pork and the pipián verde which is a Shredded chicken in a bright green pumpkin seed and tomatillo sauce. Established in 2023.

We've been working in the food industry for 15+ years. Hard working people that has been planning this project for a long time. We were raised in the city of Puebla which is south of Mexico City, where people eat "tacos de cazuela" for lunch. This tacos are ideal for this time of the day, because they can be served quickly and there are many varieties. These are also known as "tacos de guisado", which are heated in hand made clay pots. We collaborate with many local businesses to provide fresh/healthy ingredients and to support our community, being environmentally friendly. We are trying our best to make a difference!

Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

Although some may say it's a tad more expensive than a taco stand, you are definitely getting your money's worth with the quality of the meat, the superb cooking, and the generous amounts of guac and salsa on each taco.
