This bagelry serves food far superior to the majority of restaurants nearby. I legitimately hope that 5 Star takes over all of the businesses on the street, & converts them to more 5 Stars. A change like that would signal the beginning of a cleaner, healthier, & more prosperous USA. How easy it is to sing the praises of a business that sells healthy dishes, runs smoothly, & operates professionally. Every time I order a bagel with lox here the salmon is refreshing, the cream cheese is rich, & each caper is savory. The staff always prepares my order promptly. Despite the level of foot traffic, & how busy 5 Star can get, I've only ever waited about 10-15 minutes max for an order. The only rating that is acceptable for this business is 5 Stars. Yes, the name of the bagelry is 5 Stars. The name of this business is not a boast though. 5 Star bagelry provides speedy service, nourishing food, & a quiet space to enjoy a bagel at fair & affordable prices. Stop by this place anytime to taste what greatness is all about. I hope all the CEOs of trashy fast food places stumble upon this Yelp review, & fill with fear. May 5 Star dominate the food service industry.

Definitely not my first time! Its just a bit further out from me but gosh always sooo good! Always fresh and the service is always quick and good! You MUST try it and i saw they're expanding!

I have passed by several times and today I stopped. I felt welcomed by the very courteous staff. When I made a small change to my order (coffee to a mocha), they were very nice about it. And oh what a delicious mocha. I am enjoying every bite of my bagel sandwich. I asked for sausage, egg and cheese on a wheat works bagel and what a great choice. They also have little bite size Bagel Bites and I will be trying next time. C'mon folks, let's give new small businesses a chance! I'll be making this my new stop on weekend mornings. Can hardly wait.

A very solid choice for bagels in OC! The shop is located in a fairly open plaza with plenty of parking, and the shop is quite large with plenty of seating (compared to most bagel shops in the area). Everyone at the shop was super friendly, and were quick to serve us. We came a bit later in the day so many of the bagels were sold out, which was very promising to see. We ordered the Heavenly Veggie on a Jalapeño Cheese bagel with Chive cream cheese, a strawberry and cheese croissant, and a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. The bagel was SO soft, probably damn near perfect in consistency. Everything tasted fresh, though I would've liked a bit more seasoning. Both croissants were really good too. I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee which was good. Overall I'd give this a 4.5/5, if you're looking for a solid no-frills bagel, then look no further. I'd absolutely come back, and recommend it for anyone craving a bagel that's in the area.

Back for those amazing bagels! Last time I tried the heavenly veggie bagel. It was really good. This time I ordered something different. I wanted a Blueberry bagel with honey walnut raisin cream cheese spread. That's exactly what I ordered and it did not disappoint! The blueberry bagel was fresh and had a good amount of blueberries. The honey walnut raisin cream cheese spread was delightful on top! That spread is seriously delicious. 10/10 Next time I want to try the rainbow bagel. It just looks fun. I'm sure it tastes just like a plain bagel. It's too cute not to try it lol I also want to try a different cream cheese spread next time. It's fun sampling out the flavors of bagels and cream cheese. Service was great. They are super quick. It usually takes 5-10 minutes and your bagels are ready to go. I love this bagel shop! 10/10

This isn't really a "hangout" kind of spot -- you're not about to sit here for two hours pretending to write your novel or watch the world go by. It's more of a "come in, get your fix, head out" type situation. And honestly? That's fine. I rolled in late in the day, right near closing, so the options were slim. But the bagels that were left? Solid. The bacon, egg & cheese I ordered hit exactly how it should -- warm, chewy, salty, satisfying. A bagel with some real backbone. No floppy, sad nonsense. Even with the limited selection, I'd definitely come back earlier next time to see the full lineup. For the bagel alone, it's a 5-star victory. The vibe just isn't the linger-and-chill type -- and that's okay. Sometimes you just need a good bagel and a clean exit.

Omg delicious! I come here weekly now to get my breakfast in in between work. I work from home or out in the field a lot and this group of people that works here is so lovely. I highly recommend if you are looking for a delicious bagel shop. They have soo many drink options! I love their Martinelli apple juice. They are very sweet and accomodating.

Ordering was super fast! The establishment inside is clean and well organized. My bagel was a little dense, but my wife ordered jalapeño cheese and it was more fluffy. I might have to come by and order more. At this point I can't tell if my food was great or if I need to go out of my way to come again. The order came out a little slow, but overall my food was nice and hot. So 5 stars for hot food.

I had a breakfast bagel, which was garlic with egg cheese, and bacon on it this morning. The food was pretty good. I would say the price of what you get and the value is very decent. They microwave the eggs so it's not really a fresh egg sandwich, but the taste was pretty good. They have Vietnamese coffee, which also was very good. It only took them about five minutes to make my order so the service time was decent. I would go back for quick service and the great price.

I love these bagels! So happy that 5th Ave has made its way to Orange. I've frequented Buena Park location a ton and have really missed these bagels. Bagel sandwiches or just a bagel with cream cheese! I also love the rolls they have for lunch sandwiches. Always spot on. Had high hopes for this place, as there aren't many bagel shops in the city of Orange. The place is new, it appeared clean, but the bagels leave much to be desired. Nothing like a New York style bagel as another review claims. Ordered a dozen, we ate 4 total, and I made breadcrumbs out of the rest. The bagels have a weird consistency, I'll compare them to Wonder Bread. The sourdough has zero sourdough, sesame, plain, they just have zero taste. The price 13$ for a dozen is a good price, but I'd rather pay $20 for Bagel Me dozen. read more

Love that they greet you when you walk in. My daughter and I had the #3 breakfast bagel, egg , cheese and sausage and it was delicious and very filling. My daughter ordered the strawberry shortcake smoothie and she claimed it was one of the best she ever had. We will definitely come back to this great new establishment here in Orange. I love a good bagel! And I a desert of good bagel shops I will drive a good distance to get to one. 5th Ave is new and off the beaten path, but on my first visit, I was hooked. A great bagel, the coffee was excellent and the service spoiled me. Give to a try. I bet you will like it. read more

Good selection of bagels and menu when I visited around 5:30 AM. I ordered the Denver Omelette bagel sandwich. Very clean store, and they also cut my sandwich in half for dine-in (without having to ask) which I appreciate. The omelette was steaming hot and well prepared. Thank you 5th Ave Bagelry. Food is delicious and affordable. Way better than Bagel Me in downtown Orange and they won't charge you out the butt for a high quality bagel. They also have a good coffee bar. Service is excellent. Everyone who works here is so nice and attentive. Don't come between 9:30-10:30 on weekends because it's packed and the staff gets overwhelmed causing them to mess up orders. The ambiance is nice if you're looking for a good locally owned place to just chill and enjoy your bagel. read more

This place is a gem! I've been getting bagel breakfast sandwiches here the past couple of weeks and I keep coming back. The bagels are some of the best ones I've had especially compared to the big chains around here. Everything is made fresh and is always hot by the time I get home. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is delicious and strong. The interior is really nice and clean. And everyone who works here is so friendly!!! I will keep coming back. read more

My family and I LOVE this place since it opened recently. My two little boys ask to come here every weekend for breakfast. There is a nice variety of bagels here. My personal favorite as a vegetarian is the veggie deluxe on the everything bagel...so filling and taste is just right with cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and a sprinkle of lemon pepper! I also ordered a couple of dozens for work with cream cheese, and my colleagues enjoyed them. The shop is family owned and very friendly. Nice clean environment and bathroom. read more

Only eat here if you like tasteless food. Dry over priced bagels, they taste frozen, there is a major lack of flavor, overly bland tasting, and I bought 13 different flavors, none had ANY taste. I only went here because I read good things from the locals and saw other locations with decent reviews but everyone must be on drugs who likes it because these were the worst bagels I've ever had. A bakers dozen, 3 tubs of cream cheese, a bagel sandwich and large OJ was $50! Yikes... read more

This place is so nice and clean, the floors look like you could eat off them. We ordered two bagel sandwiches and cinnamon bagel with cream cheese all for a pretty reasonable price and we were offered free samples of the Vietnamese iced coffee (delicious btw) everyone working here was really nice and friendly. We hung out inside for a bit to try our bagels and the atmosphere is very bright and airy and spacious. I could very easily seeing this place becoming a regular breakfast go to. read more

Love this bagel shop!!!! Mom and Pop shopped, such a great variety of flavors! The bagels are absolutely delicious and they are nice and big. What I love most is the affordability. Unlike bagel me I can leave here with 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese for under $10. Bagel me is like $20 which is ridiculous for a bagel with cream cheese I'm sorry. I highly recommend this place. I will be going here for all my bagel cravings! read more

We have been to this Bagel Me! location a handful of times over the last year or two. But in the…read morelast month with this new ownership, I have noticed a few changes. The best change I noticed is the lowering of the prices. I was originally appalled at the price that it was for a bagel and cream cheese but when I went a few weeks ago, I noticed they were offering a bagel and cream cheese plus a coffee every Monday through Friday for 5.99. To me this felt like an intentional move to bring people back because it truly was outrageous prices for bagels before this. The only negative thing I have to say is that when I ordered my bagel with cream cheese, I waited 15 minutes for it and I could tell that they were understaffed. Previously, I have ordered ahead, but on this occasion, I did not because how long will it really take to toast a bagel and put cream cheese on it. There were people that had been waiting a really long time for their order and guests were frustrated but I will definitely be going back now that the prices are lower and the bagels are very delicious.

Rekindle was at the Taste of Orange this year and I enjoyed one of the Italian sandwich samples they were handing out. It was fantastic! We met the owner - she was very charismatic and charming. Today we stopped by to grab an Italian sandwich, and I just cannot believe they served me bread that was so old and dry - it would have been perfect for croutons, but definitely nothing like what we had at the Taste of Orange. The bread was so dry I had to dress it up with some olive relish to eat it - I don't expect when I pay $31 for a sandwich and chai iced tea latte to get home and have to start working on my sandwich. I accept some responsibility for this, because honestly, who goes to a coffee shop for a sandwich.

They do not allow for modifications (it says so on their menu), but they do allow for you to TAKE OFF items! We got the dodger & the santa monica, both on an everything bagel and really enjoyed them. We made French toast with the brioche and made sourdough toast with butter and jam. Both were excellent. We were only going to buy the loaf of sourdough but the guy helping us told us it was buy one, get one free so we choose the brioche. What a deal! We don't know if this is their regular deal or it was for the holiday or what but we were thrilled. We don't live in OC but we're not too far so we can come visit our friends and pick up more bread when whenever we want. So happy we tried the bread. If you live in OC and want delicious bread I suggest you try them.

The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.
