We tried 2 different ramens (Jiro and Yokohama) and some potstickers (beef bc they were out of pork and cabbage at the time) but everything was very underwhelming. I usually think a lot of food is too salty but in this case everything seemed under-salted. I wasn't getting much flavor from the broth either. The potsticker filling tasted off to me. And.... let's just say my stomach was NOT happy some hours after. But my partner felt fine so maybe it's just my weak stomach. Yokohama comes with chicken, pork, bamboo, egg, and spinach. Very tasty and the highlight is the porky flavor broth. It is not oily so you will need to get something else probably the tonkotsu. Small but cozy inside, (felt a bit crammed tho.) We were seated quickly and ordered a little while after. Food did took a bit long to come out as there was only 2 persons working (1 servicing out & 1 in kitchen) and there's like 4 tables full waiting for food. All ramen were customizable I loved that especially with kids not liking some toppings and were able to replaced it with something else. And different noodle options rather than just the usual ramen noodle. The eggs were PERFECT! TASTY!!! Unlike some other places. The broths were tasty. We tried the Tonkotsu, Yokohama, & Jiro. Second time coming to this restaurant and I do prefer my noodles 1.5x. The soup had more flavor compared to the first time I came and ordered 1x. The karage and squid were really good. The batter wasn't too heavy so I would recommend either of those as appetizers. I've tasted four of their broths: jiro, Yokohama, chicken white and black garlic and think they all taste great. This place is awesome! I stopped in for lunch and man is this place good! I got two starters and a bowl of the Black Garlic Ramen with extra chashu and an extra egg! Everything was fresh hot and delicious! I got the croquettes and soft shelled crab for my starters, the croquettes were crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and the gravy/sauce theyre served with was really good! The soft shelled crab was delicious and the togarashi mayo they served with it paired very well, I added chili oil to them for an extra kick and it was fire! The ramen is some of the best ramen ive had in a long time! The black garlic oil with the pork broth was a flavor bomb! The chashu was tender and flavorful, the eggs were soft boiled to perfection, creamy and delicious! The service was excellent and definitely makes me want to come back. Stumbled across 8 Hours Ramen while in the area and realized that it was fairly new and wanted to give it a try. The location is fairly large with a good amount of seating and luckily it was not as busy so we were able to get seating immediately (we went on a Sunday at 3pm). The menu is not overly filled with options but has a good variety of items to choose from. We ordered the Spicy Miso along with an order of gyoza's. This Ramen spot is one of the newest to open on EG Blvd. Before coming, I've read good reviews so we made that hike of 3 miles from the house....long trip! It's a remake of another Chinese restaurant that didn't last long. Interior is small but cozy with about (5-6 booths , 3-4 tables). I want to be a bigger fan. I do. I really like trying out new places so when I saw a new ramen spot pop up and it replaced a short lived dumpling place I was hopeful. Went here twice the first time was not super memorable, I think it was somehow bland. We got two Yokohama and didn't really find anything too different from other ramen spot. The second time feel like the menu was a little bit more involved as they ask what type of noodle and soup base level which I thought is very mindful. I didn't really think too much and just order spicy miso the soup base. I was wrong because it was too salty. So getting two opposite spectrum of bland and salty which was very unfortunate. The one good thing is the service was good and fast. I will probably try this one more time to offer my conclusive findings but not any time soon since I have other ramen spot that I prefer. read more

The dishes are also cute because they have little blowfish or puffer fish on them. We were seated right away. There was no wait. The service is efficient. Yokohama definitely one of the more popular chosen options and the slow cooked chicken was a wild surprise. At first look no way a cooked chicken breast can be that good. Wow was I wrong it was so tender and had so much flavor I wish I got more of that chicken. Jiro was pretty solid. Chashu wasn't as tender as I hoped, but the flavor and clean-tasting broth well made up for it. Chicken corn pot stickers were also pretty bomb it just took awhile for them to come out. I felt like the bowl didn't give enough "umph." It just felt normal. It was stated to be black garlic but I barely saw any of that inside, so I was a bit let down. The chashu pork was not melt in your mouth like other places. That said, the apps were probably the highlight - possibly because we were starving (karaage and edamame). SERVICE: our waitress was fine but wow, the food took forever to come out. Mind you there was only one other table!
