Yes the store itself is very small, however, the way the tables are arranged really open up the space. I ordered the beef pan fried pot stickers, garlic spicy edamame, spicy miso udon with pork broth, and the jiro ramen with regular noodles. Everything tasted great! The spicy miso's broth was very rich and full of flavor. The udon wasn't over or under cooked, perfect! The only thing I would consider before coming here is if you order an appetizer they might come after the entree. We got both the pan fried pot stickers and edamame after we got our ramen. I got the Yokohama and the broth was pretty tasty. I didn't want an heavy broth but I wanted to try the place and it was perfect for me. My dad ate the Black Garlic Ramen and he finished everything. The waitress kept coming over to make sure everything was okay and if my ramen wasn't to my standards that they would make another one. But to me it was perfect. Overall the restaurant design was cute and I love seeing more Asian interior designs in Elk Grove. Usually when it's a ramen place or restaurant the wooden tables and wood like items are slightly sticky. But with this restaurant it felt clean and breezy with music playing in the background. Even though two people were working on the floor, only one seemed to know what they were doing. The restaurant is fairly small and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, everything has been thought out throughly to look very cute but maintaining a simple design. Props to them for the decor! This is the fourth time I came to this small ramen shop,Because it is so close to my home, I asked if they have seafood ramen today,The waiter was super nice and recommended this ramen to me,She said they have two kinds of shrimps. Checked in today for soft opening. At the recommendation of some of the current reviews, my girlfriend and I ordered and shared the Yokohama Ramen. We also ordered some of the Beef and Onion Pan Fried Dumplings since they were advertised as homemade. Service was nice and quick. The restaurant seems to be Chinese owned upon listening to the workers (no problem with me as long as the food is good and treated with respect for the culture it comes from). After ordering, one of the servers (possibly the owner) gave us 2 complementary sides: Wakame and a salad with ranch dressing. The Wakame was delicious and came with some raw bits of squid. The squid was delicious and had a bit of a wasabi taste beneath it. The salad wasn't much to note but the egg that came with it was a nice touch. Pan Fried Dumplings had great flavor although only one side was pan fried. I would have preferred both sides to be evenly cooked. This led to a conflict of texture. The dumpling filling was extremely juicy. My girlfriend said it resembled mandu more. While the flavor was good, we didn't think it was worth $10 for 6 pieces. The Yokohama Ramen is a blend of their tonkotsu and chicken broths. I appreciated the fact that you could choose your own noodle thickness, how al dente the noodles are, as well as how much seasoning oil there is. We selected medium noodles, normal noodle texture, and a normal amount of seasoning oil. The noodles were cooked well and had a nice bounce, they were the star of the show. The chicken had a bit of a rotisserie taste but a nice pull apart texture. My girlfriend said the chicken had a bit of a floral taste. The chashu had a great taste and a nice sear to each piece. The flavor was good however my own criticism with it is that the sliced were too thin to truly enjoy what flavor they may have. The biggest disappointment was the broth. It was a bit bland in my opinion. I didn't notice it until my girlfriend pointed it out that it had a bit of a slimy texture. I think it might be due to the chicken stock or that it might actually been made with a cornstarch slurry to thicken the consistency as is consistent with most Chinese cooking. It just didn't seem fitting with ramen. Would I return? Possibly not. But if I do, I would like to try their standard tonkotsu broth or their Jinro ramen. read more

The portions are fairly substantial and the thickness of the pork was fairly thick. The egg was spot on delicious. Already got my buy in here, but what I loved even more was that they offered a spinach noodle option which is gluten free! Restaurant is small and filled up right away.
