We went in for pho rare steak and rice pork chop. It was a disappointment. My pho had a few pieces of meat aside from the usual noddle and a small side dish of vegetables with bean sprouts, lemon, and mint leaves. It wasn't filling rather more broth and flavorless. The pork chop dish was the same quantity. Also, I was annoyed as we were the first customers there, yet we got our food after a Mexican couple who came in after us. Service was poor as the waitress never came check on us whether we need anything or if everything was ok. On top of that, I had to pay cash as the sign at the cashier said there's a 3% for all credit cards used. Oh! They charge 50 cent for to go box! Ridiculous! 5 star, absolutely recommend! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the loveliest people ever and we were allowed to sit wherever we liked. After we ordered, our food came out very quickly and it looked AMAZING! I couldn't wait for the first bite. My boyfriend got the combination pho with egg noodle, while I got the shake and stir filet mignon with garlic rice dish. Both were delicious to say the least. The portions were big as well. We got hair in our food!!! So ...we ordered the Lemon Grass Chicken and a #40 as my husband was eating he noticed long silver hairs not 1 but 4 on his lemon grass plate. We called and they asked to take back the plate so they could make us a new one. We get there we show the manager and he told us that was the lemon grass lol He was very polite and nice and he still gave us the second plate at no cost to us. Definitely would come back. Ps. The food was great, I came here with my two friends last Wednesday, December 29 when it was pouring rain and their pho didn't disappoint. We ordered different types of phos and they were all good, great for a rainy day to warm you up. Their small is really huge and their large is even bigger. Great price for the servings. I didn't get boba drink, it was cold enough already, I will definitely order that another time. I have this feeling like not to order from here to walk back out and get in my car and leave before i get mugged. I order a shrimp spring roll and a pork spring roll. The Shrimp did not taste fresh very fishy and bit into the hard shell on 2 out of the 3 shrimp in the roll. The various places we've tried around work have been crappy so we've been on the hunt for a decent Pho spot... was this it?... Nooottt realllyyyy! We walked in and got seated right away (well we chose the biggest table for 5 and they had to clear off one of the tables, that's okay, they're busy! It's lunch hour!) The server came around and took our orders, her attitude wasn't that great, she looked like she didn't want to be there... well I mean, who needs a job anyway? (Gosh, that sounds mean don't it...) The other lady that was working, I believe she might be the owner, came by and told us that they ran out of basil. Which was pretty funny after my coworker and I noticed them serving basil with the bean sprout and jalapenos to several other tables shortly after we were notified about this shortage of basil... Umm Okay... When our food arrived, the server set down my coworkers food in front of me in which my neighbor had to scoot it on over to the correct person on the right of him... like really? We weren't sitting in a crowded place or anything and our backs were to the kitchen... She walked away and proceeded to bring out the other orders... plopping down each bowl of pho in front of the respective person... plopping... not gently.. and walked off. Service score... 2.5... I mean she probably was having a bad day or something... right? I ordered the small rare beef Pho. The broth was great! The portion?... They must think we are kids... It felt like a kids bowl of Pho, luckily I ordered some burnt egg rolls with my Pho... yes, burnt egg rolls... They weren't even crispy... I was so shocked by the presentation of their egg rolls. You get 2 in an order with a small thing of lettuce... Overall, if you decide this is the spot for you, get a large size in order to have a satisfied stomach. Orange County has so many awesome pho places, so it's really unfair to grade on a curve. The pho here is average/solid. It's well constructed, with solid flavor balance and garnishes. Meat's not especially plentiful or well done, but adequate. The broth, while not the most hearty, is a broth they've done themselves (as opposed to cheating and using some prepared soup base). A solid place, that's close to the government buildings in Santa Ana, it's a good option if you don't want to go that far for your soup noodle craving. read more

Came here on my lunch break with my boyfriend since it was right near work. Prices were just like any other pho restaurant, no complaints there. I got the #14 pho which came with combination of beef. Honestly it was just as flavorful as my regular pho joint. I don't know why the bad reviews. My boyfriend got the pad Thai which did come with pad sew noodles instead, as have been mentioned in other reviews. But it did not take away from the taste. He asked for spicy and it was on point. We shared both plates and ate everything off of them! Overall I'll return because I had a good first impression. Perhaps others expectations for pho restaurants are higher? My lunch order was: (1) Large Chicken Pho - $6.95 + $.40 (Delivery Orders) + Tax & Tip = $8.50 My lunch order arrived still warm and nicely packed. One of my co-workers ordered the small chicken pho and the only difference I noticed was that I received more noodles. I assembled my pho with the various herbs, lime, and chile. I immediately noticed that the broth was pretty bland and quite disappointing. However, the chicken breast slices and herbs were fresh. My pho was just "ok". It's difficult to find restaurants that will deliver lunch orders to the city of Santa Ana.
