If I could give this store rating a zero, then I definitely would. This store is almost never clean. The restroom door doesn't even have a lock, just a big hole to where if someone wanted to peek then they could. The only way to keep the door from opening is to try to hold onto the hole or figure out something quick and fast. I hate this store a lot especially the customer service. One of the women employees gave me such attitude and kept calling me names for no reason while trying to pay for groceries and to just leave. The men employees give me the creeps. I wish I could rate this market zero. I wait to order 1 live lobster, I did not know how many lbs 1 lobster weighs so I asked the fish catcher. He was very rude and asked me how many lobster I wanted and forced me to answer his question. I said I did not know how many lbs a lobster weighs. He did not answer and argued very rudely. I had to say 1 lobster (I bought for my sister). I wish I could walk away right way. I kept calm and did not answer. Then another man came and told the catcher to stop arguing with customers. I'm from San Diego, and we have asian super markets as well, but this place beats many of our prices!! Lobster is only $7.99/lb ?!?! It's like $14.99/lb in SD. Beef Short Ribs were on sale for $2.99/b ?!?! And its like $5.99-10.99/b in SD. And so much more great deals on seafood, like large boxes of shrimp and packages of clam. Parking can be a real b*tch in this plaza on the weekends/holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lunar New Year). And watch out for the seagulls in the parking lot, they're pretty vicious. ABC Supermarket is my family's go-to Asian/Vietnamese supermarket. We live in Long Beach but we make our way to OC almost every weekend to get our weekly groceries. The fish are always fresh and cheap. They have really good sales on live lobsters and crabs and other selection of seafood. It can run out on holiday weekends so come early if you want your share. The fruits and veggies are always fresh, too! I love the staff because if they're out of bean sprouts or whatever, you just ask one of the employees and they'll quickly bring out more (fresh ones, too!). Dirty, dirty, dirty, all patrons here are rude and pushy, be on guard! I've been pushed and hit by carts so many times and have never heard an apology or excuse me. Yet people keep coming back and this place is ALWAYS busy. Always horrible driving and parking. Once again people always come back, prices are amazing, produce is fresh! Picked up 6 of them for $5.99 a pound.. great price and good quality. The crabs were full of meat, healthy and delicious. I've been coming to this market ever since it first opened over 10 yrs ago. It's my mom's go-to market for meat, fish and produce. The market is not as clean (dirty floors) or roomy as the other newer markets but it has all the essentials. The workers here can be rude sometimes but that's expected with our Vietnamese culture. We can be loud and pushy. But if I can't find something or have questions about a certain food item, they're usually helpful. I love their seafood section here. Sometimes there are sales for crabs and lobster which is a lot cheaper than any restaurant. You can select your seafood and have the kitchen cook it for you for $2 per lb (salted or special). I took away stars for the lack of cleanliness and parking. If you come here on the weekends or during a holiday, good luck maneuvering through the parking lot without losing your mind. Asian area so expect bad drivers who are rude and don't care if they are blocking traffic. read more

The place and location is great. It's right next to a banh mi place that has the best bread! The store has everything that a family would need (lots of produce, meat, seafood, etc.) but their prices are a tiny bit higher than other supermarkets in the area. I'm not saying the prices are expensive, but compared to other markets I've been to, not THE very cheapest either. They do have great sales though. I just wanted to put in a complaint about one worker. I was shopping with my family that day and we were a bit dressed up for a dinner celebration. I admit, I looked more than decent and I don't mind getting compliments. However, this guy screamed out that I was "so beautiful", stared at me the entire time I was there (in a "damn that girl is HOT" kind of way), followed me around, and even asked for my number. Pros: Fresh and cheap Lobster, crab, fish, seafood, all in tanks, the produce is so cheap but a very limiting variety as it is a Vietnamese store. They make the best cooked lobster in house special sauce that I've ever had, sweet, salty, spicy wow amazing! that's all I go there for, very Vietnamese so you wont find any dairy or bread, and very few people who speak English but the produce guys speak spanish so I'm ok. Cons: supper dirty and crowded all the time, reminds me of a "sobreruedas" every minute from when it opens till it closes, I live close by so I know. when in little saigon always bring cash! where they cook the lobster they only take cash no cards. I live in the bay area and just in town to visit for a week. Maybe that's why I don't know where a decent asian grocery store is. ABC's stuff was expensive (compare to what I normally pay for in the bay). Tht ba ri was $3.49/lb and catfish was also the same price. Are you serious? Too much, for everything. Parking is crazy here. Be careful when driving in this plaza..lots of people driving recklessly. Inside is somewhat dirty..but they have lots of things from seafood to a variety of snack items to choose from. Tip: if you don't speak Vietnamese too well, I suggest you look up the product you want to buy and maybe bring a picture of it. Majority of workers here don't speak fluent English so asking for help is somewhat difficult especially if you're trying to explain it to them so they can help you find it in the store. The supermarket sells various tropical fruits at reasonable prices. On the way out, the security person wanted to check shoppers' bags. I told him I don't want him to check my bag. I was offended when he suggested that I must have stolen things in the store because I would not let him check my bag. The supermarket knew it had no rights to do so. This is review on Seafood To Go located in NW corner of ABC Supermarket. If you do not speak Vietnamese, Good Luck, They speak very little English. There was a long line of people picking up foods for their lunch. This is not like PandaExpress or Hong Kong Express. They do not have set combination options. You need to order by individual item and pick size of containers. Food seems to be OK and typical Vietnamese Chinese. However some were VERY SALTY. People were VERY RUDE, Two women behind me cut in the line and started shouting their orders while I was still looking at foods and deciding what to order. They have a huge variety of seafood here but too bad the guys that work behind the fish counter is extremely rude and can care less about what you want. I wanted to buy 10 snapper that was in the refig and asked the man to give me the ones on the bottom because the 4 fishes on the top has turned into a brown color ( no longer fresh ). I wanted the ones with the white flesh and pink flesh. He told me " no I can't give you those.. you need to buy these on top." Sorry to say but it was not hard for him to grab the other fishes but he won't do it. And I told him that it's right there under his hand but he said "NO". Parking is really horrible here and the drivers are the worst. The supermarket itself is also tight to maneuver around. The lanes are so narrow that you can't really push your cart past another shopper's cart. The dry foods appear to be around 50 cents cheaper than other supermarkets, but their vegetables do not seem to be fresh (not sure if it's because I came in a Friday or not and they haven't replenished their supplies). Anything Asian you need you can find here. The good deals on fruits and seafood are seasonal. Other than that, everything you see here you can find any regular Asian markets in San Jose, California. Some of the staff members here actually do speak English so you will not be lost if you do not speak Vietnamese. Parking is pretty easy to find as they have a very big lot. read more

This review is for their fast food restaurant take out. Braised pork ribs 1/5 the meat has an off taste to it maybe they used old pork meat or left overs from the other night. Braised catfish 1/5 it was oily, bland, flavorless. Fried rice 4/5 it's better than other local restaurants I've been to. Tofu with tomatoe sauce 3/5 it was ok nothing stood out. Fried whole fish 3/5 your typical fried fish. This place use to be really good long time ago, back then they had really long lines. I would suggest trying the Westminster area they have a lot of Vietnamese fast food take out places. read more

Supermarket is very dirty and so is the parking lot. Workers are horrible. My mom shopped here and slipped on the floor and the workers mopping the floor just looked at her and walked away. My mom went over to the front and told one of the workers that the floor is very slippery and that she slipped and they didn't even bat an eye. They didn't ask whether she was okay or not. All they asked was whether she wanted to file a report.
