I had never eaten their food before, but had heard good things. Apparently I chose an off day. Their chicken enchiladas were not edible. The chicken was the consistency of wet cat food. I ordered the Mexican corn as my side. It was tolerable. Their ground beef nachos lacked flavor. It also came with a chicken tamale. It was mush and had a distinct flour taste. If it weren't for the awesome salsa, I probably wouldn't have eaten it. I can say that I have never had Mexican food this bad before. I definitely will not eat here again. read more

Many, many years ago, when I was in HS, a new Mexican restaurant opened & my mother & I were there for the opening. We went every week thereafter; everyone knew us by name. They had "the" best chili rellenos ever! Just delicious. Since then, I've been trying to find someone with something even close; no luck. I've lived in CA & TX as well as here; I order rellenos every time, when available & they always disappoint...until this past Saturday! I have DashPass & Alfredo's was a new listing so I decided to try it. I ordered, of course, a chili rellenos meal. Admittedly, my expectations were low until I opened the container. Everything looked delicious! Then I took my first bite into that relleno. Oh how it brought me back, it was SO GOOD! It was at least as good as my old favorite, maybe even better. After waiting for 45 minutes for a seat at On the Border because they didn't want to pull 2 empty tables together for a group of 8, we left and went right across the street to Alfredo's. The waiter did a geat job for us - party of 12 total. My boyfriend had the chicken enchiladas and I had Lucy's Traditional Tacos. He said the enchiladas were really salty and the chicken was full of gristle. The tacos were pretty good. I asked for their special beans instead of rice or refried and I got both kinds of beans. I used to go to this place but never again. We called in an order to go and I got a side of peppers and onions. When I opened the container for the peppers and onions it was so burned up that you could not tell what it was "ASHES". I drove all the way back and showed it to the Manager and he asked what was wrong with it. They brought me another container and I opened it and it was burned the same way. They then brought me a container with what looked like raw thin onion slices with some grease thrown on it. The OWNER needs to know about this. Good luck. read more

Alfredo's is a reliable standard when it comes to Texmex. You are getting the classic tex mex you except and it's always good. Service is fast and friendly. If you get to go, you'll get plenty of set up stuff. We've done catering with them and it was a very easy process and would recommend it to anyone trying to feed a large group. The sauces and chips were plentiful as well as the fresh tortillas and hot relish. While my enchiladas were exquisite the refried black beans were the bomb along with the spicy guacamole. Too bad my wife couldn't finish her fajitas, they were delicious and calling my name. I vote for Alfredo's often because I absolutely crave their corn salsa! It's definitely one of my favorites! The meals are a little on the pricey side, but my husband and I usually each order an la carte item (My favorite is one or two a la carte chicken street tacos. This was my mom's favorite place for us to take her. Three months ago it was good, not great but this Saturday the place was almost empty at 11:30. I ate the enchiladas I even had my wife taste the chicken and she agreed that it tasted like chicken out of a tuna sized can. It was tasteless. The beans were ok and the chips and quest were good. Bad entrees and a very high price for lunch and ok service don't lead to a return by us. Evidently there has been changes at the place and the locals already knew the taste.The chicken was fajitas in the prior visits and the food was good. Very visit before was good and we had to wait at 11:30 on Saturdays. The football games had no impact since OSU was at 2:30 and OU played later. read more

In town with my daughter and we decided to try out the local TexMex and used Yelp to choose a location. When out of Texas, and we attempt TexMex, we know we are not going to get what we consider TexMex so we don't go with standard enchiladas, fajitas, or tacos al carbon. Pros: They had some unusual items on their menu... china beans which I enjoyed and we got a giggle out of Mexican mashed potatoes, and daughter liked the offering of mexican corn as a side. I tried their fried tacos which reminded me of what we lovingly called Jack in the Box "Nasty Tacos" when I was in highschool. Daughter enjoyed her flautas. Service was very nice. Cons: Queso tasted like the canned Nacho Cheese you get in huge cans at Sam's Club to serve at little league games but they had sprinkled in some chile powder. Salsa had no heat. None, Zilch. Daughter, who doesn't like spice said it was milder than Taco Bell's mild sauce. Margarita was made with a mix, not fresh lime juice. read more

I love this place. It's my favorite Mexican in OKC but since I moved across town I don't get in as often. I love the queso, chips and homemade tortillas, I fill up on those half the time and take my food home for later lol. My husband loves the house made spicy guacamole with the chips. The chicken enchiladas made with queso sauce is my favorite meal. They also give you a free sopapilla after the meal. This place is so cheap and they feed you so much food you can get 2 meals out of what they give you for one. I've been here several times. The service is always exemplary. The waitstaff is quick to seat you and bring you your complimentary chips and salsa...and queso...and tortillas. They take your order and the food is out in no time. Their agave lemonade is amazing and their margaritas are pretty tasty. Went to Alfredo's today with the wife and the mom and although the food was good as usual, the waitress was very inattentive and distracted with other things then servicing her customers ( us ). Asked for a spoon, took a few minutes for her to seem to locate one for me. Asked for a Togo container and after she had taken off and came back with one, had to make two more requests for other containers to hold our queso and salsa that we did not finish. No issues with the kitchen or other staff members only the waitress, she was polite at least but I feel she should step her game up when it comes to the serving aspect of her job is all read more

My wife and I visited the Edmond location on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The food was good, service was good until time to pay. Our waitress, charged my debit card for an adjacent table in the amount of $79.46. She also charged the debit card correctly for our meal $33.51 (did not leave a tip?). Here I sit on May 21, two business days later, and the money has not been placed back into my account. Further, if I want to speak to someone that can actually rectify the situation I have to call the GM Evan tomorrow? Really? The purpose of this review is not to steer anyone away from the business; however, be very weary of giving your debit card to your server. Needless to say, we will not return to this restaurant. My advice...when you pay for your meal here...pay with cash! I would rate my experience with less than one star, but that is not an option. read more

Not to mention they charged two in our group $4.99 apiece for a "table setting charge" because they didn't order an entree.
