The server of that day was super friendly and sweet. he explained to me the ingredients of the Signature, hence I chose not to add brown sugar. Cute little coffee shop. Has parking and a patio. The cold brew is very bright and a bit acidic so if you're looking for a deeper/darker flavor maybe just stick to the fresh brewed coffee. I got the cream cold brew, and the cream was definitely delicious. My friend really loved the lavender latte and said it went great with the cheese bagels they sell. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Matcha Honey Comb Sugar Latte. It's one of those trust the process drinks. You have to let it sit for at least 4-6 min before taking a sip. The longer you wait, the better the taste gets. The honey comb compliments the matcha perfectly. I go here so much, and it never disappoints. Love this coffee shop!!! My current favorite spot in LA. They roast their own beans on premise, the staff is very knowledgeable, prices are great and they have their own parking lot!!! They have plenty of seating inside to work and even have a pool table if you need to take a break. Outlets are limited, so make sure your laptop is charged if you plan to study here. I love the interior décor and the natural lighting. I regularly buy their espresso beans to make my own lattes at home and they are the best. ***REVIEW FOR FREE COMEDY SHOW*** Sure, anybody can go to a show at UCB, The Laugh Factory or The Comedy Store but if you want to experience the roots of LA comedy, go to the parking lot of this coffee shop. It's called the Golden Hour Comedy Show and it's my favorite underground spot in LA. The fact that they turn wooden crates into a makeshift stage and raccoons casually scurrying on the wall adds that much character to this venue. They host shows every Sunday from 7-9pm with free food, blankets, BYOB and KILLER LINEUPS. What makes this spot stand out from the rest is having the atmosphere of a family gathering (minus all the questions). The staff grills hotdogs for everyone, you get to drink and mingle with the comedians, and enjoy the company of other guests under the string lights. read more

I made a pit stop here a few weeks ago on a Saturday. They have a great selection of coffee drinkers and a less but still great selection for tea drinkers. I got the hibiscus tea which was good but was quite bitter. I added sugar and all better! The service was great and the location is good as well. They have a full parking lot on the side for customers and is usually enough for everyone to park! Definitely will stop by again! Also, free wifi so all good for a new study spot! read more

Don't want to mess up their review ranking so still giving 4 stars... but this place was severely understaffed for a Saturday morning. If you want to try coming here please make sure you have time. I waiting in line with 6 people ahead of me. After 20 minutes there were still 5 people in front of me with no sign of speeding up. The 1 customer helped ordered 2 drinks and the cashier was also the barista. While I was excited to try this place, a rate of 1 customer every 10 minutes requires more time than I consider reasonable. You really need time on your hands if you want to actually try the product. It was time for my afternoon high and wanted iced coffee on this hot day. They offer an Horchata iced coffee and that's what I ordered. Cortado was scalding hot and way too much oat milk, def not a cortado. Both coffees were super bitter and burnt tasting. I actually swapped my cortado for a cold brew and even that was super bitter. But the vibe is dope. If you're into the super sweet coffees, theirs look really good. But if you're really into delicious coffee that's not flavored, this ain't the spot. read more

But as a daily coffee drinker of over a decade, LA's Alibi coffee co., def made my list of Top 5 favorite coffee shops. I always appreciate coffee shops extra when they roast in house- something about literally watching the coffee beans roast that you are about to drink makes my heart happy. Also, the flavor of the coffee was excellent: smooth, balanced and flavorful. They have oat and almond milk to choose from as milk alternatives. I got the iced lavender latte and it did not disappoint! It had notes of vanilla in it, making it taste creamy and balanced. Probably the best lavender latte I have had so far. I wish it wasn't $6 but you can't blame them for inflation! The baristas were super friendly and kind. Which is sometimes hard to find in LA. Thank you, can't wait to return :) read more

Woah why I have JUST discovered you Alibi Coffee?? I have been missing out! I had this place bookmarked and finally got to visit today and oh my I am tempted to NOT write a yelp review because I want to keep it my secret place. But my yelp duties surpass my personal desires so... First - Parking! Free parking in the parking lot right besides it (which is incredible in a place near Koreatown). Not only is the lot free, but it is beautifully decorated with graffiti from different artists. Free, spacious, and fun to look at. Coffee - I'm not sure if it's because the soft opening, but the drip coffee is $1.50 (WUT) and oh so good. There were plenty of other choices, but I couldn't let a good deal pass. (The first time you check in, you get 10% off the coffee prices - take advantage). Service/Spots - The staff is friendly and helpful. They will accommodate to your needs. What more do you need? There aren't too many seating spots, maybe 20 total but mostly 2 seater spaces - but don't let that deter you. Special Perks - There is a custom built pool table for Alibi and it is free to use! How awesome is that? Enjoy some coffee and play pool to relieve your stress. I really wanna keep this place a secret, so don't come. (lol) The only negative is that they did not have a working AC system at the time of the visit (July 31, 2018). Maybe they did and it was very weak, but there were fans to try to alleviate the heat, but in the hot summer - whoo get ready to feel like you're in Guatemala. A good alibi can save you from trouble but a good cup of coffee can save the day any day! This place is the real deal. They have awesome drip coffee for just $1.50! You can't beat that. Almost the same price as some of the chain restaurants but way better quality for sure! I don't know what kind of method they use, but they do roast their coffee beans on site. They have big bags of beans and a coffee roaster in the back. It smells really good inside! The freshness and aroma of their coffee will surely give you the extra pat in the back to wake you up! I have also had their cafe latte, and a couple of pastries. My fave so far the rye sea salt chocolate cookie which is the perfect pair for their amazing coffee but you can't go wrong with anything else. Parking is shared with an artist shop, but you can also find street parking as well. The chandelier and the pool table give the place a nice and an inviting touch. Service is top notch and good looking so it's a win-win situation. Great place for catching up with a friend over a good cup of coffee or playing pool while enjoying their great coffee.
