Kalbi Combo Plate
Kameron T.

Kalbi ribs, chicken Katsu, and Chicken Teriyaki were amazing! The ribs have to be my favorite! I like that the portion size was big! The lumpia is amazing too! Four stars instead of five because I paid extra for double mac portion and it was really gross. Warm and tasted like crab? I threw it out. Also, in my katsu I kept getting little pieces of bone? That was a little weird to me. But I will order from them again!

First time at this location. Awesome food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty good place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I thought it's was coming to Aloha Kitchen but it's OK it's a good place. Good size menu . Like those Shanghai Lumpia. Portuguese sausage was a different one that I'm use to. Don't know what the other one is but this one is OK. Great food good customers service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I wanna like this place but 3 stars is good enough. Food is really good, I have to admit. Their chicken katsu was not thick with the fried battered. It just enough. Enjoyed the meats! We have the beef, chicken and Mac salad. All great. Plenty of parking in the front. We came on a Wednesday at noon and no issues with parking. Plenty of tables to pick from and enjoy their food in the restaurant. When we walked in, very strong cleaning smell. It's a good thing that the place is clean but threw us off a bit. Service was a bit unfriendly. What you want, you order, you pay and sit down until your name is called. Not much of inviting pleasantries for sure. Pricing is a bit higher than the other Hawaiian food spot off of Galleria. Urrrghh, would I return, not sure for this one. Maybe just for their late special as it's cheap per the door's advertisement. I can't complain if it's cheap then.

Stopped in for some lunch with a friend as we were craving Hawaiian food. I heard this was an Aloha Kitchen but changed its name. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside decor was nice with all the bamboo deco and all the Honu (turtles) on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady at the counter was nice and we placed our order. My friend had the bento plate and I had the island plate. My friend liked her plate, she enjoy the mahi mahi . My chicken katsu was good but I didn't care for the teriyaki chicken or the beef. The chicken was fatty and I think it was dusted with flour. The teriyaki beef was tough and chewy. There was also a gravy over both the chicken and beef that I didn't care for. I ate mostly the Mac salad with my side of kimchi, and the katsu. The rest I let my friend take home. Not my favorite place but I hope if you come here that you have a better experience. Njoy!

Chicken Curry and Katsu Combo Plate

The food is delicious and the service is good, so I think I'll come here often. Also food came out fast too.

I had been wanting to try this place for a minute since it's next door to a Rubio's I frequent. I went last night and was immediately drawn to the tempura and teriyaki chicken combo. It was around $16 after tax. It came with white rice and a side of macaroni salad. I wish I had the option to sub the macaroni salad out for something else since I don't consume dairy, but no biggie. The tempura came with a dipping sauce that reminded me of dumpling sauce. Very tasty. The vegetable tempura was my fave because it was very flavorful and it was fried mixed veggies as opposed to just one vegetable. The chicken was good, but I wish the portions had been larger. The shrimp tempura was good too and what you would expect. I'll be back since the prices were good and there's more on the menu I want to try.

Always good always hot always good. One of my favorite go to spots for a filling meal and plenty to eat. Have been going to this spot for a while now, menu has plenty to offer plenty of drinks. Everything made fresh and always hot.

Beef Stew

I really wanted to like this place bc I love supporting local and anyone that serves Hawaii style plate lunch / food. I ordered the beef stew, overall flavor was ok BUT $17 for 3 pcs of meat, 2 carrots & 1 potato just seems so wrong. The kalbi was extremely underwhelming as well, no flavor, not enough meat. Overpriced. This meal was a friendly reminder to just cook it at home.

Loco Moco Gravy is bland but tastes ok

For me this place is a hit or miss. I've ordered for delivery here a few times and each time is different. The first time I ordered, the food was gross. Everything was either old tasting, or burnt and the portions were weirdly small for the price point. I would have given a bad review and moved on but so many people I know like this place and it's close to my house so I gave it another try. Second time, everything is great. Fresh food, great flavor, perfect portion sizes. Ok, the first time was a fluke maybe. Now I can see why people love this place. Third time, just like the first! My mom actually couldn't eat her bbq chicken because it smelled off and the chicken katsu was so hard and dry, you couldn't bite through it. Ok, now you're asking yourself, why did you order yet again? Because it's been awhile 9and I forgot I didn't like this place) and I had a coupon for 50% off. So this last time I ordered was just like the second time. Fresh, delicious, authentic, tasty food. Ordering from here is like gambling, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Good Hawaii local food and friendly staff. Whatever I order is good plus I get the chicken bowl to go for a snack later.

I went to Top KBBQ tonight with my mom, and this place is always consistent and awesome. I haven't…read morebeen to Top Korean BBQ in quite some time because I moved to another part of town, but when we were waiting for a table, Amy remembered me and said hi. She made things really easy for us - my mom is in a wheelchair, so bringing her to restaurants can be challenging, especially a KBBQ spot, which has big grills in the middle of the table. They had an open 8-person table, but she decided to give us the table so it would be easier for mom even though we were only 2 people and it was a Friday night during dinnertime. We really appreciated that. The food was good as usual! We kicked it off with Bulgogi, but TBH I usually just stick to Brisket, because it's easy to cook and comes out perfect. We love the salads here! Salads at a KBBQ?! Yup, the flavor is so legit. I like to mix the house salad + green onion salad, because it has sprouts in there too. The sweet vinegar flavor with Korean spice is such a good flavor. Instead of eating rice, I just eat brisket with salad. So good! Also, we love the Melona ice cream they give you for dessert! This is much better than the generic bs ice cream that other Korean BBQ spots give you! Also, you can't beat THE VALUE here. The Top KBBQ special starts at only $23.99

With the amount of korean bbq places in town, there's no room for this type of malarkey. Sat at our table for 10 minutes, finally received our water. Server said he'll be back, another 10 mins go by, still no waiter to take our order, no grill even placed. After 20 minutes of no service, we got up and walked out. What happened to this place?

Had the Dolsot (Hot Stone) bowl with purple rice, bean sprout, red onion, corn, spicy cucumber,…read morebroccoli, shiitake mushroom, organic tofu, sweet n spicy and teriyaki sauces. It was a good mix of food with plenty of flavor. The hot stone keeps the food very hot, which made it difficult to eat. So, next time, I would get the Classic Bowl or Plate instead. The complimentary, self-serve Miso Soup, Barley Tea, and Lemon Iced Water are very good. Overall, the meal is high in sodium, but I only eat this way occasionally. I do appreciate that the food contains no MSG (monosodium glutamate). Service was friendly, and there was a pleasant flow of happy patrons on a Saturday morning. The place is immaculate. This one-of-a-kind business, at this single location, is obviously a labor of love for the owners.

We both ordered bibimbap in your old school dolsots. Unfortunately the rice was not crispy on the bottom like you'd get at a classic Korean restaurant. The toppings, while fun to customize, are usually standard when served traditionally. I didn't think the flavor was as good as the real deal served in more traditional restaurants. I got the beef and my husband got the pork. The beef was missing the right flavor. The pork tasted better but I'm not a pork person. Normally bibimbap has spinach but this wasn't listed as an option. Egg is also normally a regular topping, not an extra. When you mixed everything up, it just didn't have the right overall taste I'd get at authentic Korean restaurants. Overall though it wasn't bad. If I were to come back, I'd save my money and not bother with the dolsot option. It did not enhance this meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is the fun ambiance. Each table has little games and magazines. While you wait you can play. There's also self serve miso soup and barley tea. Service is not bad. The restaurant is very clean. We were very entertained waiting for food. I wouldn't mind coming back.
