I have taken my oversized suits, formal dresses and gowns to get them altered and you would think I bought it that way. Incredibly professional and such a delight to visit. While the final result still wasn't exactly what I had envisioned, he provided a full refund for the tailoring and was very thoughtful and apologetic. Nothing remarkable in a positive way but also no disasters with my clothing that I can recall. About two months ago, I brought 5 or 6 cashmere sweaters to be dry cleaned. When I picked them up, the woman at the front charged me $19.95 per sweater. I actually thought she had just made a mistake with the total so I asked her to confirm the cost to dry clean a cashmere sweater and she confirmed $19.95. I know cashmere usually is more expensive to dry clean than other materials, but I think that's outrageous. I paid the total, but then I asked to see the price list and she said they didn't have one! The whole thing was pretty suspect, and I will never go there again. Not to mention, the woman upfront was very rude during the whole thing. I believe they might simply make up pricing as they go and see what they can get away with. I'll admit, that often times I will pick up dry cleaning, pay the bill, and not really pay close attention to what each thing cost. Usually it's roughly what I'm imagining it to be. But in this case, I knew something was weird and I'm glad I asked. I truly do not recommend this business.

The shirt in particular had a bad stain that I could not get rid of, but Eco Coastal CLeaners succeeded! My other items were returned clean and freshly pressed. One of the great things from Eco Coastal Cleaners is that they're mobile, so the entire process of dropping off and delivery was very convenient. I interacted with Larry. I submitted a request for a quote through Yelp, which he responded quickly to. I reserved a pickup date through their website, Larry came to pick up and gave me a time estimate for the cleaning (2 days because I wasn't in a hurry). Throughout the process, Larry was very communicative and gave me a 30 min head's up when he was about to arrive. Prices were also reasonable. Larry accepts all form of payments, and I ended up using Venmo. Everything was very convenient and professional, and I would definitely recommend.

I've always had a really good experience at this dry cleaner, even if it's been a bit pricey at…read moretimes, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I recently picked up two garments that still had the same stains I brought them in for, yet I was still charged for the cleaning. I understand that not all stains can be removed, but if that's the case, customers shouldn't be charged as if the issues were resolved. At the very least, I would expect a heads-up when dropping items off if something looks unsalvageable, especially since I pointed out the problem areas in detail ahead of time. Or at minimum, a conversation at pickup about what happened or a partial refund for not being able to do the work needed. Instead, I was expected to take the items as-is and pay in full for the service. When I asked about it, I was told "we cleaned the garments," which may be true, but the reason I brought them in was to address those specific stains. When I calmly pushed back, I was told, "This isn't the place to bring my items," and was issued a refund. I was being dismissed and steamrolled with excuses simply for asking for better customer service. I stayed polite and was just trying to understand their reasoning, but there was no accountability until I raised the issue. As a business owner myself, if I can't deliver on what a customer is paying for, I take responsibility for that. I've had good experiences here in the past, but this left a bad impression. I'll be going elsewhere for my cleaning needs.
