Alexi was super attentive and welcoming. One of my favorite spots. Food is always amazing.

My wife & I went for lunch on a Saturday about 2:00. Just about every table both in & outside was full with patrons. We however found a spot inside. The waiter was very busy but attended to us in less than 3 minutes. We ordered our drinks & sandwiches right away. The atmosphere was busy with people even those that ordered take out which appeared to be popular. We had our drinks quickly but had to wait about 15 minutes for our food. We found out that the wait was well worth it as the food was great: really great. The taste of our overflowing sandwiches (# 5 & #14) were flavorful & fresh. Each warm sandwich was wrapped in white wax paper to hold ingredients together. We did not taste the tomato sauce yet but will do so on our next visit which may be very shortly. read more

Whenever we don't know what to get for lunch or dinner, we hit americanos. Every time it leaves us shocked on how good it is. One time the order got messed up and the sandwiches were wrong, but we still gladly ate it. I live in Livermore and work in Fremont, our drivers that come out this way ask "what's a good place for lunch" first option I give them is always Americanos sandwiches. Tiger woods with godfather sauce is stunning.. Anyone who complains about the price belongs at subway. You get what you pay for. Big ass sandwiches and garlic fries that will make you take a nap. I have been in the bay area for 5 years now and I never knew this place existed. It is by far the best Italian Food I have had since I left NJ. I got a chicken parm and it was enormous. -1 I went there Wednesday June 26th with my elderly mother. We were the only customers there. I'm a foodie, I cook homemade food and I'm part Italian. We were met by the sever Alexie (male) ordered a ice tea and water. I asked for some sugar, he stated how many because they are over here. Sugar not on the table. Then asked for a spoon ( since there were no forks or utensils on the table) and I asked for a straw. He was very rude, as thou I was putting him out. Then placed our order spaghetti and meatballs and a salad. Our dinner came out, and the Meatball were dry, like eating leftover cardboard. Awful. Another couple came in. So mind you now there were only 5 people on the entire restaurant. It was around 2:30pm. Alexis, NEVER Ever came back to check on us Or to check on how our meal was. I was extremely disappointed in the food/serve. I would Never recommend this place to anyone. Go to the Olive Garden. This places spaghetti and meatballs are gross and not at all worth the price. Alexis is worthless- not sure what his role is at this restaurant. But if he is the owner you will not make it. And if he is the Manger (Alexie) the owners need to get rid of him fast and don't look back. Your reputation of service, is -1. and your food was gross and lacking real Italian cuisine. read more

We saw this new place in town and the reviews and food looked good so we we went for an early dinner. Wow wow wow, the food is FANTASTIC! Most everything is made fresh, right down to the Caesar salad croutons & dressing. I ordered the chicken parmesan, the best I've ever had! The other order was the chicken mascarpone, was also delicious. The owner came to our table to check on us, she was so sweet, nice conversation about where in Italy she grew up. If you want the real deal, fresh food, with a bit of hospitality on the side, we recommend trying this place out. We're actually ordering a to go order as I type this, our new go to place! read more

Used to love this place, but the last THREE times we ordered from them, they got my sandwich wrong. (And it's not complicated: I just don't want peppers on my cheesesteak.) Dunno if it's them or the delivery service, but since the service doesn't seem to have this issue anywhere else... ‍ Food continues to be good but three strikes and all. Was looking for a deli and found much much more. This place is s full service restaurant that is full of high quality foods. The fish is line caught, wild and the meat is superb quality. All the dishes we got were nicely presented and fresh! We Prefered the calamari which was super tender and fresh. It came breaded and fried with a delicious fresh marinara and aioli. We got the tomato bruschetta as well. This was my least fav because the bread should have actually been toasted with garlic. The tomato was really fresh and soft, like it was actually heated then cooled. The cheese was fresh and light but could have used a bit more flavor like truffle oil or truffle salt and just plain salt. Hubby got the Charlie sheen sandwich, he loved it. Our boys got the kids chicken and fries and they loved it. Looked like pounded chicken breast, panko crusted and tender. Fries crispy. The wait staff really attentive and the decor bright and cheery. So many options in the menu can't wait to go back when visiting Livermore again and try new things. You can tell this is a special family owned place. read more

I had one of the best sandwiches: Magellan's Catch: Wild-caught tuna, melted cheddar, lettuce, tomato, "godfather sauce" and pepperoncini on a soft sourdough roll. I got the #14 Mr Fred Sandwich and my wife got the Philly cheesesteak and I ate half of hers and she ate half of mine and we hardly ever finish our food and we both had clean plates ! I'm doing 2 stars because of how good it usually is here, but my experience today was definitely a one star experience. I've eaten at americano many times because of how accommodating they are about my gluten allergy, but today I ordered the tetrazzini with gluten free pasta, same as usual, and when I got there the woman working asked "it's a preference, right?" and when I clarified that it was an allergy she was incredibly rude and blamed me for ordering it wrong because they had added breadcrumbs to the top that were not gluten free so they needed to remake it. She said it was my fault and I should have clarified that it was an allergy. After all of this, the pasta was INCREDIBLY over salted. It was jarring because I've had this meal before and it's always been amazing. Overall very frustrating experience. read more

We went with neighbors who had eaten there before. We met for dinner. There were 9 of us. The restaurant makes you feel like you are in a little Italian eatery. Cassandra was our waitress. We were all visiting and she was very patient with us and getting our drinks and starters and our meals. As she got busier, she still checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was great. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the chicken marsala and it was delicious. I could only eat half and now I have enough for another meal. We went for lunch and the salad was soooo small. If you go, order a sandwich. Those are huge and worth the money. The internet went down and they couldn't charge our cards. It looks like a neighborhood sandwich shop ( in a strip mall.) from the outside. It says " Hot & Cold sandwiches " on the window. Who would expect $20 ( only hot) sandwiches, $5 can of soda? Seriously the most expensive sandwich I've ever eaten. And honestly I can only wish the sandwich was worth the $34 I spent on 1 sando, 1 lg onion rings order & 1 can of soda. The sandwich was unfortunately not even that good. The roll too soft & certainly not sourdough, the tomato tasteless and mealy - yes I do realize it's almost November but I didn't put it on the sando- chef did! And the featured ingredient salmon, not particularly well cooked. The commercial onion rings complemented the sandwich in being an overpriced ripoff. Also inexplicably I ordered a sando & my friends did too I got a salad ( poor commercial mixed lettuce- a pet peeve of getting rotten lettuce leaves in the mix c'mon) but my friends did not get the salad. The dressing was commercial - thickened with xantham gum- balsamic. Caveat emptor! read more

We love this restaurant! The sandwiches are huge and soooo yummy. We have many favorites! Everything is so fresh and flavorful. My husband and I end up sharing a sandwich and usually have a third of it left over. We also love the Gondola Salad, Calamari, french fries, and the Shrimp and Avocado starter. You will not be disappointed!!! At lunchtime if you're dining in there can be a slight delay from time to time when they are busy - but that's a very small price to pay for everything super fresh and oh-so-tasty at a family operated restaurant. Americano sandwiches are amazing and might need to share!! Their party pans of lasagna and meatballs and spaghetti were outstanding! I ordered the lasanga for our Xmas eve dinner with family of 6, there were leftovers. The meatballs also for a family of 6! Delicious! It comes with a variety of choice of salad and garlic bread.
