Literally super disappointed. Me and my husband went not long ago and a different lady served us , she was super nice and everything. Food was ok . But we asked for water and it tasted disgusting. Literally a joke . We found a lot of gummy nasty parts of "beef " in our plate like that's all they use . Disappointed. I wanted to try again and order 2 lunch special for pick up . I get there and it was ready . She hands me the receipt and says "tips" like super rude . Yes I give tips but I did not when they didn't do anything to service me . Only put my food in the bag and that's all . So I just give 1$ tip . I walk away and notice her giving me an ugly look . I come back to ask for siracha and she says it's an extra charge. Like okay? But why didn't she charge me when we were eating there ? She knew we gave a good tip and now that I didn't give a tip she wants to charge me for the smallest things that should be coming w my food ??? I say oh that's crazy , and walk away . And all she says is "yeah yeah goodbye " like wtf ? What kind of customer service is that . I'm not trying to be a Karen but cmon . It's stupid at this point . HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I arrived here at 1:20pm on a Sunday afternoon. The place looked pretty packed, both inside and the patio area. We were seated immediately upon entering. The menu had a bunch of different options ranging from rice bowls, to sushi combo platters to udon noodles. I ordered 3 items. The 2 combo platter which gives me a choice of two diff items. Also got the nigiri sushi for $10 and also the dynamite roll. The 2 combo platter, I opted for Cali rolls and tuna rolls. Both were terrible. It was like eating plastic. It also came with miso soup, rice, and a salad. Sad to say, the miso soup and salad were the best items and they were not good at all! 1/10 for this. The dynamite roll was sucky too. It was literally the Cali rolls with some stinky fish on it. It wasn't even scallops like what most places have. Instead it tasted like cat fish and smelled terribly. 1.5/10 for this. The nigiri roll was eh. Fish didn't look fresh at all. Imagine eating plastic. 2/10 I'm not coming back here. Giving them 2 stars. One is for seating us and taking our orders. Another awesome Sushi restaurant that is local to me. Diners have the option to sit at the Sushi bar or a table. The Sushi chefs wear the traditional garb. Sometimes I like dining at the bar when I have Sushi. It's beautiful watching the chefs in action. Sushi is like fine art. The overall appearance is very clean and service is good. I wasn't very hungry. I'm trying for the Sushi badge so every day it's a different place for me. I had gyoza and spicy tuna tacos. The gyoza was very good. I liked the cucumber on the side to refresh the pallet. The tuna tacos we're incredible. They looked more like a tostada. There's a huge scoop of tuna avacodo and spicy mayo. SERVICE: 4/5 The waitresses were very friendly. I was seated promptly! However it did take awhile to get their attention but it was understandable. FOOD: 4/5 I got the 2-item bento and my boyfriend got the 3-item combo. I thought the beef was chewy but it was also good. The chicken teriyaki was perfect, it was soft and not as chewy. The salmon sashimi was amazing and everything here is affordable and reasonable. The sad part is they can't substitute though if you wanted all salmon sashimi for the sashimi part of the bentos. Tried to order here yesterday, placed my order at 4:50pm through Grubhub and it notified me that my order had been received and would be ready at 5:39pm. Arrived to Ami Sushi at 5:35pm and checked in with staff, they had no idea about my order, when they looked on the computer they told me that they now see it and it had just arrived to them, it was about 5:45 now. They told me I could wait 45 minutes or have them cancel it, I told staff to just cancel it because I was not able to wait that long. I walked out and when I checked back later to make sure the order was cancelled I saw that it wasn't and my card was charged. Not sure if this is a Grubhub issue or a Ami Sushi Issue but that's what happened. I contacted Grubhub and they cancelled my order today and issued a refund. read more

The Philadelphia roll was good with nice equal square cuts of salmon, avocado & cream cheese. They weren't stingy and for $5.75, so cheap! The best roll for me is the No Name Roll. Soy paper w/tuna, salmon & shrimp tempura. It has a soft texture while the tempura shrimp adds a bit of crunch! Very fresh. The Yummy Roll was yummy. Unique blend of masago & tempura, with plenty of salmon on time. Lastly, the French Kiss was okay. I've stopped eating eel b/c of the high levels of mercury but eel combined w/spicy tuna was just okay. The service was great!! My tea was never empty and the sushi came out quickly. Came here at 3pm and it definitely wasn't that busy, like three parties at tables and there was a relatively big Postmates order ahead of me when I ordered (8 or so rolls). The thing that really bugged me is that it took them about 45 minutes for my two basic rolls to be ready! After waiting 30 minutes, I inquired if they were ready yet and the worker was pretty rude. The rolls themselves were okay but they look kind of like they were thrown in there and not made well which doesn't make sense like I'm confused what took so long if they weren't made well. Pricey for LOW QUALITY. I ordered the Santa Ana roll ($12) and the Philadelphia roll ($7). The Santa Ana roll was sub par, pretty bland, but not terrible. The Philadelphia roll however (which is my typical choice roll) was absolutely terrible. 60% cream cheese with a tiny sliver of cucumber and only 2 out of 12 pieces had a little avocado.
