Absolutely outstanding! Ken was a fantastic bartender. All of his wine and food choices were stellar! The small bite appetizer meatballs (which I would normally never order) were so good, I almost asked for a private moment. The homemade pasta with pistachio pesto was a dream for my tastebuds! I had no expectations to this Hyatt restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, well lighted, and well spaced out. The fettuccine carbonara was so good and didn't taste like the boxes stuff. Pizza was also very tasty with a flavorful crust that was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Service was also overall very nice. For a $$ Italian restaurant in a Hyatt regency the only reason it didn't get five star were cocktails were too sweet and the small beer selection. read more

When I arrive at 9:20 and ask for a table, the hostess attempts to seat me at some bar-like counter along the far window. I would like a TABLE, I politely remind her. She finds me one (not that hard; there are plenty available at this hour). The server comes by and immediately informs me that It's just five minutes till the kitchen closes. Not a great start to the meal but fine. I promise I'll order quickly. Then I don't see him for another 10 minutes; go figure. When he returns, I order a beer, the tiramisu, and the meat pizza, and he parries, "the carne?" Call it what you like dude, carne is meat. Passive-aggressively correcting me on this is just as annoying and unnecessary as a Starbucks barista confirming with an arched eyebrow whether I would like the "grande" cappuccino when I asked for a medium. Bite me. Everything is slow, even the things that are supposed to be quick and straightforward, like the beer I ordered. There are relatively few guests and STILL it takes as much time for the beer to arrive as it might when the place is packed. If it's EVER packed, that is... The thin-crust pizza, when it finally comes, is greasier than I was expecting but it will have to do. It's a Sunday night, after all, and in a six- or seven-block radius around the Hyatt Regency, under whose roof Andare is housed, Seattle is dead and abandoned...except for homeless people at every other street corner. Earlier, at 9:15 pm, the concierge couldn't point me to a single open restaurant in easy walking distance, which is why I ended up at Andare, in-house. Word to the wise: If you're ever sleepless in Seattle, make sure you don't get peckish as well. There may be no food for miles around. What a strange town! The tiramisu -- nine or ten bucks, can't remember -- arrives in a paper to-go cup. Classy. But Andare isn't yet done with its surprises. I receive the bill and notice it has a 15% service charge added. WTF? I leave another six or seven percent for a total of 20-plus, and take my leave for good. No way I'm coming back to this place...or to the Hyatt. It's an otherwise pleasant hotel but the location spoiled it for me with its depressing lack of life, excitement, diversity, and neighborhood eating/drinking options. Live and learn. read more

Finally got the chance to try Andare after a failed office lunch attempt where the building's fire alarms booted us. In natural fashion, we went back as an office for Happy Hour, because we were all still dying to try. The ambiance is light, bright, open, chic and casual. The bar was full so we sat in the main dining area, where we were still able to order off of the Happy Hour Menu. Drinks for the table ordered: Manhattan, Aperol Spritz (only because NYT recently dissed them and we've never tried), Castleventrano Martini, and a great Red Wine pick from the bar manager. One of my coworkers knows what she wants in terms of taste of her wine, and they did a spot on job picking one out. All of the drinks were delicious and came out fast. For food we ordered the Charcuterie Platter, Signature Meatballs & the Tuscan Bean and Kale Soup. Let me start with the Charcuterie platter, they say it is for 2, it's not, there were 4 of us and we barely finished it. It had a beautiful assortment of cheeses, meats, olives, veggies, etc. Everything was delicious. The meatballs (full order has 8 good sized balls), they were so flippin good. They do have a bit of spice to them, but I loved that part. Juicy, tender and an amazing sauce to dip the flatbread. The soup was delicious as well, jam packed with beans, kale and sausage goodness. All in all, we all left satisfied. Service was amazing as was the rest. Will definitely be back to try some more dishes. read more

Just left there and the worst meal of our trip. At $250 (which includes the 18% tip they automatically hit you with) it is the 2nd most expensive meal of our trip and by far the worst. Pizza was burnt on the bottom, appetizers had no taste to them (calamari and meatball dishes), and the tiny 6oz steak had no taste. It was terrible as it was the last meal of our visit to Seattle and by far the worst. The 18% automatic tip is ridiculous as he did nothing far and above to warrant that. Hyatt needs a better restaurant. Should have went to Daniel's. At least we would get the quality that you pay for. read more

Here on a chilly evening and I couldn't have asked for a better comfort food meal. The carbonara and signature meatballs were delicious. The carbonara was creamy and sumptuous with crispy pancetta and the meatballs had just the right amount of spice to add balance. Staff was attentive and friendly. read more

We have been loyal to Hyatt for.many years. We will always be loyal to Hyatt but I would not recommend this restaurant. To add insult to injury we were charged a 15% service fee for what I am not sure, the soup my wife ordered was barely warm. Hyatt should be more considerate who they do business with, it hurts the business. We come to Seattle a lot, so we will stay at another Hyatt, hopefully they keep better company. read more

Came here for a drink to wait for a friend. The bartender saw me walk towards the bar but looked back down at his tablet. He actually didn't look up for a couple of minutes until a couple came and sat down at the bar opposite me, to whom he actually looked up, greeted them first, handed their menus, and took their drink orders. The drink menu was alright, mostly wine and a few interesting cocktails. My friend then met me at the bar and we both just ordered mocktails which were nice and refreshing. I read in a recent review that they don't charge an automatic 20% gratuity anymore but they definitely applied it to my bill. read more

Been here before a couple times, but I'll make sure to never go back after encountering some of the worst service. Be warned if you're a female and encounter Ken-you will not be served. In fact, you will be ignored while other male customers sit down right next to us and get handed a menu and water. Meanwhile, our group of three were ignored for 20 minutes. No water. No menu. One of us even went up to ask if we could get some service, and Ken said, "I'll be right with you" and then walked away. Sure enough, not two minutes later another male customer walks in and sits down when Ken strolls over and gives him a menu and water. One of the male patrons sitting next to us, god bless him, even asked Ken to go help us as the patron felt sorry that we were being ignored. I don't know the exact reason why Ken didn't feel the need to provide us with service, but the message was clear. However, the Broiler's steakhouse was much more inclined to offer us great service and we had the best hamburgers ever while there. Overal 6/10 I ordered the Seattle Restaurant Week dinner option through UberEats. It came with an appetizer (preselected), entree and dessert (preselected). The salad it came with was a 6/10, it was as described on Uber except it came with a strange cheese on top that was sliced and crumbled making it hard to pick off. The artichoke hearts were way too big and needed to be sliced smaller and the dressing only tasted like vinegar but the pistachios were delicious. I got the chicken dish as the entree and it was a 5/10. I expected a boneless skinless chicken breast and got a hunk of chicken with a big bone sticking out and lots of skin. It tasted more like a thanksgiving turkey than what I was expecting but it had a yummy pesto sauce on the bottom of it. The risotto that was the side came in a slab of a rectangle that looked like prison food. It was also inedible due to the immense amount of salt that was put in it. The green beans were good, nothing great, but good. The dessert was a tiramisu that was a 7/10, I'm sure they get it premade somewhere else so I won't go into detail, but it was rather tasty. Wouldn't recommend or go here again as it was just average. read more

I live local but I was attending a convention over the weekend and stopped by the bar several times. Ken was terrific and super friendly, made some bomb drinks for us. The atmosphere was really nice, a lot of Christmas lights already in the hotel lobby. The mischievous meatballs were also really tasty!! Overall an incredible experience all weekend. read more

Save your time and money! Very poor customer service. Ordered a drink from the happy hour menu, even pointed to the order from the specific HH menu. Drink was poorly made, basically tasted like straight like lime juice. Waitress charged full price and when asked was completely unaware of the prices (even though I had showed her my order while ordering). Manager refused to honor the happy hour price because I was sitting at a table vs the bar even though no one said anything about a price difference. read more

I have been a hotel guest at the Hyatt Regency which the restaurant is located in. Andare hardly ever answers the phone for room service guests and when they do answer, service normally takes close to an hour. When I confronted them about this I was told "Sorry when we get busy, we take care of in person customers first." You would think they would prioritize hotel guests given the rates we pay for the rooms. At the very least, they should answer the phone. Food is average and the staff lacks customer service. read more

I had high hope for this place and was in the mood for pasta carbonara. The service was not very welcoming at all. I stood there and waited for the person to look up and greet me before I could get a table. I was put off on the side. The waitress asked if I wanted anything other than water, but I wasn't given a drink menu. She seemed inconvenienced to go get one, but she did. I asked her if there was a smaller version of the salad to eat as a starter. She said I could get a side salad, so that's what I ordered. When it came to my table she stopped and ask if it was a good size in a patronizing fashion. The salad was served in too small of a bowl and difficult to eat. It didn't have much flavor and the lettuce was very watery. Before I got half way through the salad my pasta carbonara arrived. The person just laughed when she saw I still had half a salad and then walked away. The carbonara looked delicious but fell short on taste. It mainly tasted of garlic. It really needed some cheese which is important for a carbonara. I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

Very disappointing experience. It looks like a nice restaurant, but you have to stand at the front in line like at a McDonalds to order and prepay for your food at a host stand. Then, you have to self seat and go find your own water and condiments. They're understaffed and don't clear your table or check on you for the entire meal. However the worst feature is that my eggplant was the texture of a shoe that I could not cut or bite through. Even worse, for the last hour plus I got nauseous and have been constantly in the bathroom with what appears to be food poisoning. So they may ruin the rest of my day/evening in addition to the meal. The staff was friendly but for all reasons mentioned this place sucked. Beware. read more

The mozzarella cheese was barely melted and the sandwich itself wasn't hot. Since I wasn't seeking out a quick dining experience, I wasn't thrilled with ordering at the hostess stand. Honestly you're better off going to McDonald's - better food and service there. I asked what beers are available and Jodette answered by asking me "what are you looking for? We have limited selection." If you have a small selection, why can't you tell me what you do have? My family and I ordered the pizza, salmon, and chicken. All were Way below average. The pizza had an odd taste, the beans were undercooked and hard , and the risotto not only had an odd taste, but was burnt and bland. The chicken was bland and all the food needed seasoning. Went there for dinner last night. Top Notch service by Alex and other staff members. We ordered appetizers and dinner. Had the Andare salad as my meal and it was divine. That dressing is amazing. The calamari we had as our appetizer was not impressive and they allowed us to return it as it lacked seasoning and was a bit chewy. Overall, we had a great night and would go back again. The atmosphere alone is awesome if you want to go for HH. It's right below the Hyatt so it does get busy after work hours and into the evening as there tend to be solo travelers having a meal. Giving it 5 stars bc it was an overall great experience. They have also started serving port wine which is not in their menu. So great end to the night if you like dessert wine. read more

Great happy hour experience at Andare tonight - delicious food and excellent service. Our server was Cat who was helpful and so pleasant. We split a salad (Cat said one would be large enough for both of us), a half order of meatballs (4), and we split an order of cavatelli. Food was very good and was plenty for us. Waited in line behind a party of women picking up their order. Something about the order being wrong and it took 3 employees trying to decipher what went wrong. I should've read the signs. 10 minutes later I finally am up front and have to listen to the guy at the counter (Dan?) trying to assure himself he wasn't at fault like a bumbling fool while I continued standing there unacknowledged. Another few minutes pass and he eventually asks me what I need. I mention I'd like a seat as there wasn't any at the bar. He tells me he can't seat me even though there are 4 open tables in clear view. Okay, whatever.
