We watched several groups come after us get seated before us after 1.5 hours we walked inside and asked what was going on. Fantastic breakfast with TONS of gluten free options! I had the GF blueberry lemon goat cheese pancakes. SUPER yummy. Husband had the shrimp and grits, which was also delish. They have a dedicated gluten free prep area which does so much for making me feel safe when eating out. This was by far the best customer service I've ever had. There was a 30 min. wait for two when we arrived; during the wait complimentary mini muffins were served to everyone waiting to be seated they also had complimentary coffee. When we were walking to our table all the staff greeted us, the waitress was so hospitable. She told us about our selections, offered sauces on the side or even more if we desired more decadance. She told us about specials in detail. We never had to ask for refills nor condiments. I had the carrot cake pancakes and OMG!!!! they were amazing; toasted coconut, candied pecans, just enough cream cheese. I also had grits w/ cheese I LOVE that they didn't put some kraft single crap in my grits. Even after the long wait, no one greeted us or asked for our drink order for over 30 minutes. Three waitresses continued to walk by our table. My husband asked one of them who was our server and then found out it was one of the three and her service was short and tart. Huge Fan of this place, but first time trying it in Pensacola. So there are small, but huge differences from one location to the other. So on this particular visit, we ordered the Lafitte's Tortilla, Crab cakes Cavallo Benedicts, Shrimp 'n Grits, and a order of Biscuit Beignets for starters! I also ordered a coffee with Kahlua. The Lafitte's Tortilla was ok, but it wasn't nothing fancy, I was expecting so much more! The Crab cake Cavallo benedicts was great, but a tad on the salty side, but a nice portion. Then you have the Shrimp 'n Grits, what can I say then just simply amazing! It wasn't my order, but when I saw it, I wished I had order that instead of the Lafitte's tortilla. And as for the biscuit beignets, they are a die for. They come with a marmalade that you can dip in which goes well with the small warm beignets. Our server was very polite and helpful. When we found out that the Pensacola store didn't have the Lobster & Gouda Grits (A MUST!!!), she worked with the kitchen to see if they could replicate the dish. This place is reasonably price for what you get. Nothing outrageous and the portions is pretty decent size. I'm a huge advocate of getting the best bang for my buck and this place falls right in line that philosophy. Its a pretty clean place, and they do a good job of clearing tables as well as making sure the place as a hold is clean. This place is easy to find and the parking lot is huge! I image on the weekends they need it because this place will have huge waiting lines from time to time. They have a lovely menu with lots of options and even a separate GF menu with breakfast and lunch type foods. This is our first time ever having issues at this location. Our waitress (Anna) gave us our drinks and didn't come back until 40 minutes later and that's because I stopped her. She served all of her tables around us. She asked if they needed refills on their drinks while they wait but still didn't stop at our table. An hour in we get our food and it's not hot. I asked for plastic utensils and she never came back. I went to the hostess to request some. She told my waitress and then she came back with utensils. My husband ordered sausage, she said they were still cooking. He didn't get them until we were about to go. She charged his card for $64 and $43 and handed him both receipts. At that point it was time to get a manager involved. He was very professional and fixed the issue right away. My husband and I are very patient people so if she was new, overwhelmed or whatever the case may be, we would've understood. The problem was she wouldn't stop at our table. This will be our second time visiting this location. Very friendly staff, food is pretty, but it just tastes so plain To me. Nothing really sticks out, besides the cinnamon roll. To me, IHOP makes better tasting pancakes. I like that the potatoes are crispy, where I can just dip them in ketchup and the taste and texture is like French Fries. The omelettes are extremely basic, maybe because I got a veggie. But I think they should load the veggie omelette with lots of goodies instead of just spinach, really small diced tomatoes, and literally a couple of mushrooms. I could've eaten breakfast at my resort on the beach and would have had a better experience just by presentation of scenery and saved some damn gas. read more

We were seated at the bar (they ask if you want to be seated at the bar if the seats open up first). As the place was super packed, our waitress (I think she's a bartender too) seemed overly busy and occupied with her tasks (making drinks, swiping credit cards for checks, taking orders, etc). **It was sort of hard to get her attention to order at first.. she was apologetic about our wait and it was totally understandable.. but just laying it out there that this places is really busy lol. The Hollandaise sauce is not a true Hollandaise, it just tastes off. They use ham steak instead of Canadian bacon, and then they cover the dang thing in green onions.
